Let's Finish: Mass Effect (The Series)

Recommended Posts

The Mass Effect games are space based third-person shooter-RPG made by BioWare. From the start of the very first game, the series has captured the imaginations of millions of people and as the years have gone by the series has become the new space drama that everyone loves.

So far in the Mass Effect games the player avatar "Commander Shepard" was on a galaxy spanning quest to stop the "Reapers" from ending all live in the galaxy. However, that story it over and now it's almost time for a new story to begin, but before that new story starts maybe we should go back and finish the story of "The Shepard"

Goal:

In this event the goal is to finish Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 before Mass Effect Andromeda is released sometime in 2017.

Rules:
There are no rules besides have fun. Play the game however you want. Whatever you feel you need to do to finish the game, go ahead and do it.

Who can Join?
Anyone who wants to. It doesn't matter if you haven't started a Mass Effect game yet or if you are one trophy away from a plat, you can join if you want.

Pace:
There is no pace to this event, if you need a month to finish one mission that's fine and if you finish a full playthrough in 1 day that's fine too.

Oh, I'm so torn on this. I love the ME games, but never finished ME1 (due to burning myself out on ME2 and 3 first). I haven't played them in awhile, so it would be fun to go through them again and see how other people made their choices.

On the other hand, I'll have to turn my PS3 on....

I would definitely join this if I didn't already have all 3 games completed

^^This, I have already plated all three. I AM missing the ME3 DLC but I believe it is too expensive. If we get a sale for it I would love to join but I mostly came to say good luck, this is an awesome endeavor! Great series!

Too bad I can't join this, already got all 3 plats and completed all the DLCs. But good luck to the participants. If anyone needs help or tips, feel free to ask.

They've been on sale a couple of times in the EU store.

I'll join in, already finished 1 and only need to do my insanity run in 2 (along with the DLC) but I haven't made any progress in a good 4-5 months. Hopefully this will help me get over the hump and get started on 3 :).

Added to the event. Welcome and have fun.

That dlc though... I saw somewhere that between the 2 games with dlc it's like $70. That's maddening. I bought the triple pack on a flash sale for $5 total. I guess i could justify the cost of the dlc is offset by the dirt cheap price of the games...but still.

I suggest you just play the games without the dlc and if you like then enough, try to get the dlcs next time they go on sale.

While I do think ME 1 is the weakest game in series, the game is worth turning on your PS3 for a few weeks/months to experience all of the Shepard story.

Joining for fun, just to be the list. No hurry to finish the PS3 versions yet.

I want to join. I have all 3 of them sitting there waiting to be played... BUT I have so many things I want to play first. Decisions decisions.

Both of you have been added to the event. Welcome and have fun.
