ZachBoardyHD Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 I've finished the game for the night and have not been using cheats (in exception for the trophy that does require you to use a cheat). it got me thinking who on here are attempting this/completed this without using cheats to aid them in their playthrough? As a kid I did use cheats as the game was really hard for me without using them but I remember the second entry in the series I was able to do without cheats... Up to now I'm looking hopeful that it won't stop being fun but then becomes infuriating by dieing many times, even though I've not died once yet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My situation is same like Terra, I'd beat DAH2 on PS2 legitimately and with limited english vocabulary (I was a kid who barely understand english when I played and beat this game during PS2 era, have you ever tried to play a game with a language you barely understand? It's hard af ). I might use the cheats when things getting annoyingly hard but on second thoughts, I think I'm going to honor my childhood memories and plat the game without cheats only time will tell when I get my hands on the game. LunchCannon54 Posted November 30, 2016 Share Posted November 30, 2016 Well I was but one particularly long mission that I failed at the last bit has ensured that I have taken a sabbatical from it for the time being. Why there are no checkpoints in missions and why they just don't give you the option to restart when you fail instead of forcing you to manually exit the map and choose it again from the mothership is beyond me, but I guess they improved that in the sequel. Also I'm fairly sure I've ballsed up the disguises trophy anyway so I dunno. The terrible AI and escort missions were really getting to me as well. I've 100% DAH 2 on the ps2 when I was a kid.without cheats cuz no internet back then. Only reason I used a cheat was for the one trophy and I even used it on a race so... The guide says all story missions and side missions must be completed and all probes collected. I've only done the story and probes. Not sure if it's a glitch or if the guide is wrong. Anyone know?
