This would simply be a way for those people who have MP or co-op games they'd like to get finished. If I was going to apply a points system here, I would probably cap it at 2 or 3. The whole point here is to hopefully encourage people to play together if you are that way inclined. Let me know what you think because this is not set in stone. Don't really have a single favourite game, Tales of Graces f would be up there Persona 4 would be another, Legend of Heroes - Trails of Cold Steel would also be another.. Don't even remember what the list was I never really get them as I already own most of them, I use plus for the same amount of online gaming and the store plus sales. 4: What is your proudest Platinum that you earned this year? Between Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord or Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS3 Version)... If all Zelda.. as much I love the Zelda series and this game was still a great game but it was not as good as the hype it got. If we are talking Sony releases then Undertale.. I never really looked at the Bonus section nor worried about it. 5: What is your opinion on the scoring systems for Backlog Games? Well it was the main reason on how I won so it's an amazing scoring system. 6: How do you feel about the Backlog Game setup (6 x PS3 games, 3 x PS4 games, 1 x PS VITA game)? If this was the plain for next season I don't think I would even sign up for season 3, I spend a lot of time on pubic transport and the lack of the love for the Vita here really hurts. 7: How would you want to see the Backlog Game setup run differently? (This includes points dispersion and certain amounts of titles per system required). Well given the push for PS4 is high here I can not change that setting but I think and have said it from day one of season 2 that the Vita/PS3 section should be classed as the same and I recall some posts here that many are trying to focus more on the PS4 so for one idea it could be would be the following: List 10 games which may include up to 5 PS3 or Vita games, can make it 6 if you like, locking down the amount of games per platform so there is no room to move hurts the comp I feel. 8: What did you think of my FAME & SHAME event and would you be interested in seeing a minor points system implemented here? (I'm thinking whoever earns FAME gets a 3 point bonus and whoever earns SHAME loses 3 points, but it's a work in progress). The 4 player local co-op trophy was a pain. Asking my nephew to help me get a trophy produced a puzzled look on his face. Its fine but seems overly complex and could be simplified to give admins a chance of posting timely results 4: What is your opinion on the scoring systems for your Bonus Categories? Its good - pushes you to increase completion rate and go for rarer trophies. Be good to tie it into the base scoring system to make it more streamline. 5: What is your opinion on the scoring systems for Backlog Games? I think it needs more weight behind it to encourage people to do them. I did 4 of my 9 and was best in my division with no even 50% completed. 6: How do you feel about the Backlog Game setup (6 x PS3 games, 3 x PS4 games, 1 x PS VITA game)? 10 games is good - 1 per month. But it would be great if it was whatever you want it to be. Some people don't have VITAs and some don't even have PS3s. People have different circumstances so it is easier for them to play certain consoles most of the time, etc. 7: How would you want to see the Backlog Game setup run differently? (This includes points dispersion and certain amounts of titles per system required). Any amount of titles per system as long as it adds to 10 games. Earning more points for rarity is great... I'm going to say "The Sexy Brutale" because it came out of nowhere and I wasn't expecting anything when I started it but I ended up really enjoying it and it helped me out of a bit of a Plat slump I was in at the time. 2: What is your favourite game that was released before 2017? Skyrim, I loved playing it on Ps3 and then just as much playing it this year on Ps4. Now soon enough I will see how it goes in VR. 3: What is your favourite PlayStation Plus game? Plus was fairly disappointing for me this year, games are either trash or something I bought not long before they became free. I'll go with Day of the Tentacle. 4: What is your proudest Platinum that you earned this year? Single player wise I'd say Assassins Creed 2 because I never completed it on Ps3 and it was my goal to make sure I did on PS4. Multiplayer wise definitely Ghost Recon Wildlands with @MattyH16 @Ethan @CjShai was a very funny game to play with you lot. 5: Which game do you consider to be the most over rated game of 2017? Having it be 6 PS3 this year was bad for me because mine is old and shitty and I don't/can't play it anymore. 7: How would you want to see the Backlog Game setup run differently? (This includes points dispersion and certain amounts of titles per system required). I'd go for 6-7 PS4, 2 Vita, and 1-2 PS3. Not sure about points dispersion. 8: What did you think of my FAME & SHAME event and would you be interested in seeing a minor points system implemented here? (I'm thinking whoever earns FAME gets a 3 point bonus and whoever earns SHAME loses 3 points, but it's a work in progress). I kind of think losing points for "winning" Shame game would hinder peoples motivation to earn points and play games, I'd probably stay away from having that become a points thing and just let it be a little funny tidbit from month to month. 9: Would you be interested in being added to a group chat on PlayStation Messenger Chat in 2018 where everyone can have a chat, discuss games and even try to arrange boosting sessions with other interested players? (You can still be added but there will be no pressure at all to say anything or play with others). Is this separate from the secret club one we already have? 10: Would you be interested in a new feature next year where everyone nominates a list of games (not sure how many yet, maybe 5, maybe 10) that require online co-op or multiplayer boosting? Wayne and I would see your nominations and match you with people who have nominated the same game as you. Possibly we could add a substantial points bonus to anyone who completes said game. Games like AC Black Flag or Battlefield 4 or Killzone Shadowfall are a few examples. I don't think trying to force people into boosting with each other will work, hard enough syncing up time with people you want to boost with. Great to read other peoples views and experiences. ? Technically I am not a member of the league but I am still going to have a go. 1: What is your 2017 Game Of The Year? It is a tie for me, What remains of Edith Finch and Hellblade. Both are phenomenal games both at a design point, story telling, music composition and audio design. These two games push the gaming genre forward more than anything I have played this year. What these studios could do with a triple A budget would be amazing. Guess we can dream. 2: What is your favourite game that was released before 2017? Forza Horizon 3, PS has nothing comparable yet in the racing genre. It is so good it justifies buying a console for one game. 3: What is your favourite PlayStation Plus game? I am much like Fisty, I rarely remember to even pick them up and almost never play them. I played Until Dawn before plus but would probably go with that. I really need to pay more attention though because I am doing the same thing on Xbox Gold which is silly as my Xbox library is very small compared to PS. 4: What is your proudest Platinum that you earned this year? I don't really know, I feel the same about every plat when it pops be it 2 mins or 100hrs. I guess probably Project Diva X. It is unlike me to spend anywhere near the 105hrs that took. It also had a requirement to beat a lvl 10 song medley on extreme which proved very challenging for me. I suspect trophies like that are not supposed to be earned by people over 30. Other than that probably my second stack of FFXV, I really love the FF games and am having a great time working backwards through the series, although I could do without that 1000 fates grind in FFXIV. 5: Which game do you consider to be the most over rated game of 2017? Horizon Zero Dawn, a game for the sheep of this world if ever I saw it. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Far Cry Primal so the chance to stack it (even if it goes by another name) was appreciated. It is games like this that make me realise, for better or worse, how far removed I am from the gaming community at large that critically acclaim this blatant Ubisoft ripoff. 6: Which platinum trophy pushed you the hardest this year? I am Mayo (PS Vita) stack, I spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out how to get the cronus max to work with the PSTV and the turbo controller. Ridiculous. 7: Which trophy (excluding platinums) was your most frustrating trophy this year? Project Diva X Event organiser. It is not fair to expect a mid 30s (ok late 30s) white male who may or may not be intoxicated to press that many buttons in order over 9 mins. 8: What is your most anticipated game for 2018 ? The Crew 2, it will be either be the best open world racer on PS or it will be absolute shit. I am anticipating the Turn 10 game but I doubt it will be out next year. I think Season 2 has been an improvement on Season 1 and I would like to see that continue next year. I have a few quick questions here before we get to the final bit. The only question I am qualified to answer is : 1: What was your favourite part of the GATH Season 2? Passing fisty123 on the AU leaderboards. He had a great score posted but I knew I could do it. Through every VN, short plat, quick 100 percent, venturing to the JP /HK/UK/NA/CAN/ and even French store I knew I could do it. And finally a few months ago it happened, what a glorious days. For a moment I swear the sun came out, I heard some faintly religious music and I felt the presence of our lord and saviour Shuhei Yoshida touch me. It was my time. Needless to say life now seems empty. Everyday I hope fisty has earnt a platinum. I will it to happen. And everyday I am disappointed. Star Ocean Remastered was the final straw. I am but a lost soul floating in a trophy void waiting for one day when the beast stirs and comes to claim his rightful place. It didn't do everything right, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. Cuphead (PC) would be a close second. 2: What is your favourite game that was released before 2017? That I played this year or in general? Favourite this year would be Severed whereas all-time would be Banjo-Kazooie (N64). 3: What is your favourite PlayStation Plus game? A three-way tie between Dust: An Elysian Tail, Severed and The Deadly Tower of Monsters. Dust and Severed are really good metroidvanias with excellent combat systems and The Deadly Tower of Monsters is just cheesy, B-movie fun. 4: What is your proudest Platinum that you earned this year? Either Alpha Protocol or Dragon Quest Heroes. DQH had more of a grind, but AP had to be done in a very particular manner to get all trophies in 2 and a bit playthroughs. 5: Which game do you consider to be the most over rated game of 2017? Even though I put it as my game of the year, probably Breath of the Wild. It allowed me to come second overall, but it's ultimately less rewarding than simply earning the most trophies each month (180 maximum for 10 ultra rare backlog games versus 225 maximum for earning the most trophies every month). 6: How do you feel about the Backlog Game setup (6 x PS3 games, 3 x PS4 games, 1 x PS VITA game)? I think this needs overhauling. 7: How would you want to see the Backlog Game setup run differently? (This includes points dispersion and certain amounts of titles per system required). Removing the restrictions and just allowing people to pick 10 games would be better. If you still want to incentivise people picking games from different platforms, you could include small bonuses like 3 points for beating 1x PS3, 1x PS4 and 1x PSV games, 6 points for beating 2 of each and 9 for beating 3 of each for a total of 18 bonus points. Or reverse it if you don't want to encourage 3 Vita choices and have the biggest bonus for the first set. 8: What did you think of my FAME & SHAME event and would you be interested in seeing a minor points system implemented here? (I'm thinking whoever earns FAME gets a 3 point bonus and whoever earns SHAME loses 3 points, but it's a work in progress). I like it. I like the idea of rewarding and penalising people for it too. I agree with Spazza that it's probably better to have a highlighted game each month than to have everyone submit lists and then pair them up. This would simply be a way for those people who have MP or co-op games they'd like to get finished. If I was going to apply a points system here, I would probably cap it at 2 or 3. The whole point here is to hopefully encourage people to play together if you are that way inclined. Let me know what you think because this is not set in stone. Sure.
