2 players has the exact order + Timestamps

Hey folks,

i have been clearing as much as possible from the fastest achiever Board for "Devil May Cry 3" - aka DMC3. Many players who were cheating the game got removed allready. Since i'm taking at least 2-3 looks each day into the Boards especially for the Top #10, to check if there are new appearances. I did that also for the reason to raise up my old account to the Top #10, normally i could have fastest with it as well, but the only problem i had back then, that the game just simply bores me so much that i didn't had much motivation to play it after a 20hrs session with Vergil again. But on the later spots (#11 & #12) i found a very suspicious evidence which i never saw ever before. Both players have, as my Topic Title is allready saying, exact same order, timestamps & completion time. How is this possible? The game has for sure always different loading times, gameplay can't be always 100% the same, lines can't be taken always 100% all the same time, same as correct landing criticals and more. I don't see how it is possible. Correct me if i'm wrong or missed something... but i'm simply wondering :hmm:

So my question is here, any possibility to remove them? Or can someone explain me this situation.

Player 2: http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/1386-Devil-May-Cry-3-HD/RaveNScythE18?order=date〈=de#content

Thanks!

funny, i always thought: why are those trophy/timestamp hackers so stupid and use random times? just look at some legit player and copy his timestamps or even better just the timestamp deltas as in this case.

unfortunately we'll never know who was first, since the timestamp is obviously not trustworthy.

of course the chances are high, that this isn't the only hacked/copied trophy list of the person who hacked... so i guess one could look for other fishy lists.

then again it should be relatively easy to make a quick psnp database query to find identical trophy-lists like these ... ;)

There isn't any evidence that PS4 (or even Vita) trophies can be manipulated in this way at present. It only applies to PS3 trophies.

I thought Vita trophies can be hacked as of a couple months ago or so. There was even a post here on PSNP about it

Also, looking at the Statistics section of Player 1's profile, I think there is some data that may point to them being the cheater and Player 2 being the legit. Even Player 2's completion date is March 2012 and Player 1 is November 2013. A definitive answer will probably never be reached, but my money is on Player 1 being the cheater

I found the thread, but I'm not sure if timestamps can be manipulated on the Vita in the same way it can be done on the PS3.

Search for "Dex Trophy App" on google. I'd link to it, but it would break the rule on posting illegal content on the forums.

Please Note: I don't know if the app actually works. That's simply what my sources tell me the app is called.

I'm wondering about this as well because 5 Star Wrestling on PS3 has 6 players with exact time done with the game and time it took to finish the game also with the same timestamps. It's the number 2-7 fastest achiever players. It's kinda annoying because it could be a 'Very Rare' plat instead of normal 'Rare' plat. Ref: http://psnprofiles.com/100-club/3426-5-Star-Wrestling

I'd say the first player is definitely the cheater, first of all just compare the statistics page of both profiles, too me one of them looks just a little more suspicious than the other. Secondly, the trophies of the first player says that he has reached at least rank 25 in BF4, while according to bf4stats.com the player has in fact never played the game online. I don't know if this is enough proof to get a player removed, but due to the fact that we know that one of them is indeed a cheater and we only need to find out who, it's seems clear to me.

I don't think that even lets you sync the trophies. It wasn't the hacking of trophies I was disputing, it was the ability to manipulate timestamps on the Vita.

Unless someone is willing to hack his Vita, alter the trophy stats, sync it to the PSN and confesses to this, it's hard to check if it's really possible. But all trophy stats can be altered locally, it's just the question if it syncs.

The db looks like this btw:

As we can see, people would be able to alter the date.

That doesn't sync to PSN.

I know i'm late with this but thanks for answering. Well RaveNScythE18 did the game before the other guy so yeah.

How would you know that if the timestamps are _hacked_? the hacker could've easily set his timestamps to one year before the legit guy. that's basically the most annoying part of this whole thing :(

It is virtually impossible to do the same excact run with every same second. Alone loadingscreens aren't always the same, they're always different. Also it is impossible to have the same 100% gameplay and execute them 100% as the other. I know this very well, because when i'm going for my DMC4 runs, they're always different. Unless there's a TaS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) possibility for the PS3, which i highly doubt.
