Too late to learn?

I used to be a pretty solid MvC 2 player back in the day, but for some reason passed on this one when it came out. In fact, MvC 2 was the last fighting game I have played. $25 seems like a good price, but does anyone know if the current community for UMvC 3 on the PS3 is mixed, or is there just going to be sweaty pro players. In other words, should I even try to learn this?

The 360 version is the standard for this game.  It's never too late to learn any game......  I still play a lot of older fighting games.  CVS2 remains my all-time favorite fighting game.

It's never too late. This re-release will probably bring a ton of new blood to the game anyways.

It's also really simple to learn. The basic combo system is fairly "paint by numbers" and some characters are really easy to learn while other more advanced characters are a little harder so there's something for everyone.

MvC3 is like the drums of fighting games. Super easy to pick up and play. Impossible to truely master.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Probably will get it then...need a fighting game on my account anyways and I guess worse case, enjoy the arcade mode.
