With days like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas so close to each other, many of you will probably get lots of new games and increase the backlog. What better way to reduce it and celebrate the new year at the same time than by having a contest. General Information: The contest will start on January 1 2017 at 12AM (00.00) and end on February 5 2017 at 11.59PM (23.59). The timezone we'll be using is GMT+0. Here's a countdown timer that shows exactly when the contest will end. The three members who have the most points at the end will win this contest. The prizes are listed below: 1st place: a PSN Card with a value of 30 dollars/euros/3,000 yen (depending on region). 2nd place: a PSN Card with a value of 20 dollars/euros/2,000 yen (depending on region). 3rd place: a PSN Card with a value of 10 dollars/euros/1,000 yen (depending on region). 4th place: a lifetime premium membership for the highest-scoring non-premium member that isn't in the top 3. In the event that there are no PSN Cards available for the winner, we will transfer the money using Paypal. You can sign up for the contest until December 31 2016. At the end of the contest it would be appreciated if participants could provide a list of games they've platted. The premium membership is sponsored by StrickenBiged after successfully solving his brain-wracking puzzle. He does this occasionally and the first member to solve it wins. Major props to Kuuhaku for setting up the sheet. Point System The point system has been overhauled to make things fair. Participants get points based on the plat rarity and is calculated as 100 - plat rarity. To give a quick example: a plat with 5.55% rarity nets 94.45 points. In addition to that, there is a multiplier. For every 50 hours it takes to plat a game the multiplier will increase with 1. This is to compensate for games that take a lot of time. The amount of time would be based on PSNP guides and if there isn't one, a guide from another site. To use the example above: A 5.55% rarity plat that takes between 5 and 49 hours has a multiplier of 1, so the score remains 94.45 points. 50 and 99 hours yields 94.45*2= 189.90 points. 100-149 hours would be 94.45*3, etc. Rules Cheaters aren't allowed to join and cheating to pop plats will result in an immediate ban. Auto-popping games using cross-saves won't count for points Only games that have a Top 50 fastest time of 5 hours and more are eligible, meaning all 50 times must be at least 5 hours. You can find this Top 50 by going to any trophy list and click on 100% Club in the upper right part of the screen. The column on the right shows the fastest completion times. If any games on your profile have been started before January 1 2017, they're only eligible if the amount of trophies unlocked is 5% or lower. Participants The list below also mentions their estimated points, but only if they wish to add it. Awesome idea Dragon and nice to throw in such a big reward But i have a suggestion: i think multiplier 1 for all games below 100 hours to plat is wide range... maybe divide it by 50 hours, upper half getting multiplier 2 already? Because i know several games which i'll likely complete within 6-10 hours and that's why i think going for a plat at 50 hours or more should be rewarded higher...
