Greetings and Happy Holidays Gravity Rush fans! We’re less than one month away from the release of Gravity Rush 2, and I’m thrilled to bring you an update on some of the high-falling action that’s headed your way before launch.

First and foremost, we have an original anime production ‘Gravity Rush Overture’ created by the famed anime studio Studio Khara that bridges the gap in story that takes place between Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush 2. I’m happy to announce that the anime will be available for all to see on our PlayStation YouTube Channel on 26th December from 4pm. Please take a look at the teaser to below for a quick glimpse of what’s to come:

Last but certainly not least, we wanted to leave you with a special surprise leading into the holidays. Our PlayStation fans have been itching to get a taste of Kat’s new adventure before the New Year, so I’m happy to announce that the Gravity Rush 2 Demo will be available to download on PlayStation Store tomorrow, 22nd December from 6pm GMT.

There are two paths through this demo – one for those who are new to Gravity Rush, and another for those that are more familiar with Kat’s powers – so no matter your level of gravity-defying experience please be sure to give it a shot!

We’ll have more about Gravity Rush 2 as we fall into 2017, so please stay tuned to the PlayStation Blog and have a wonderful holiday season.

I'm going to remote play this on my Vita and pretend like that's what it came out for.

If I had a PS4, I'd probably do the same thing!

Well, even though I am highly tempted to download the demo for this game, I think that I can manage waiting for the full game when it launches next month. The odds of my resolve crumbling and downloading this game is pretty high (I'd give it a 75% chance), however, I intend to wait until the full game comes out. At least those screenshots in the OP are beautiful.

Can't wait to watch the animated short when it comes out next week!

Up until I saw the news for the demo I didn't even realize that it's less than one month until the game releases. And I know that feeling but I think I will lose to the temptation and try the demo although it's not so long until release. :D

What a great timing I had for getting a PS4 Pro just last weekend! Must have been my gravity senses tingling.

When I first read this I didn't notice that it was cut/pasted into the OP. I thought that Crimson was part of the actual team! xD

Great news though. I still need to pick up the first one.

Awesome to hear about the demo and anime episode. I won't play the demo since I won't be able to get GR2 immediately on release, but I will definitely watch the anime episode before I pick the game up. Hope everyone enjoys the demo.

That's the only way it should be played :awesome: .

Nah, with the new forum software I just became one of those lazy copy-paste-guys. :ninja:

But it would be awesome to be in that team. xD

I was so glad they re-released Gravity Rush on the PS4 because I didn't have a Vita at the time it came out (I do now) but now I have a reason to pick up the first game even more! I keep hearing that Gravity Rush is a classic and a good example of a great first party exclusive to Sony.

I'll try it out even if i won't take the game until it drop down to 20 € so it will be a while but no hurry for this game for me.

Pretty excited for that demo, just somewhat bummed out at how much of a CG fest the animation is looking to be.

For this I would recommend to use the YouTube-app on the PS4 then.

This way you could pretend that you aren't watching an anime with CG-effects but instead watching one of the game's cutscenes that's sometimes drawn in anime-look, similar to Ni No Kuni. ;)

Still is an Animated Episode all in CG xD

Which just show how lazy they were in doing this because an all animated OAV would have been better but, better than nothing i guess.

But it actually looks somehow good.

Definitely better than I expected when I heard about CG and 3D.

To download, or not to download; That is the question. :hmm: It's coming out so soon, I'm not sure I want to spoil it for myself. I mean I already know the game is gonna be awesome (even if it did abandon Vita!).
