On bosses save after every couple of hits. I used Axel & spam flaming uppercut, > > punch. Also on most enemies & some bosses if you keep pressing punch slowly so your combo doesn't start then the enemy cant move or attack. Should unlock it at end of stage 7. Hope that helps. Not sure if I really want to go for no death mode in this game - might just leave it at 18/19 trophies.
