Injustice 2 Story discussion

For those who want to share their fan theories on the story of Injustice 2.  This is my theory In the beginning we see Superman in chains and Batman is watching him. I believe this takes place in the universe where Superman is evil and after the events of Injustice Gods Among Us. We then see Supergirl land in a destroyed city possibly Metropolis because we are shown the city in ruins similar to the intro from part 1.  She is about to battle Wonder Woman for whatever reason. We then see Batman watching over the people of Gotham and possibly Metropolis through hidden cams. How did he hide those cameras you ask because HE'S BATMAN. We then see Harley Quinn hitting (most likely killing) someone with her signature bat. However you don't see Joker with her so this supports my theory of it taking place in the other universe. Next we see Supergirl seeing a planet(krypton) explode only to realize it was just a memory. We then see Robin fighting Batman similar to how Nightwing fought Batman in Injustice 1. We then see Superman spectating the fight and has his laser eyes. This tells us two things 1. Robin has been possibly tricked by Superman and believes Batman is the true enemy or traitor similar to NightWing. However It could be a more newer Robin considering the fact Damian Wayne came after Dick Grayson,Jason Todd,and Tim Drake. Then again it could be an earlier encounter of Robin (Damian Wayne) betraying Batman.Or 2. Superman wants them to fight only to turn on Robin and wipe out everyone else. Then we see Superman with his dead wife Lois Lane and his dead unborn son. However due to the fact Superman killed Lois in space then that could possibly mean the other Joker did the same thing and made the good Superman bad. We then see superman killing the Joker by impaling him with his fist. Again this could be a flashback as to why things are the way they are. We then see Superman in chains from earlier trying to break free. This tells us he was possibly reliving a very bad memory. We are then introduced to a new character Poison Ivy and Bane. We then see Supergirl and Wonder Woman engage in a fight. Supergirl gains the upper hand until Superman and Batman arrive.  Now judging by the fact they both arrived at the same time this could tell us they are possibly working together to fix the damage they have caused or just a sheer coincidence. However we see from an aerial point of view everyone is against each other. We then see Brainiac who was narrating through out the whole trailer. This tells me that Brainiac is studying the heroes and knows if they kill each other similar to the DCUO comic then he will have no one left to challenge him.  At the end he says ''Perhaps it is time for them to be redrawn''. Them means the heroes so maybe Brainiac plans to let the heroes go to war with each other and then the remaining will either die or serve under him. But we see other villains like Bane and Poision ivy along with the already revealed Deadshot,Grodd,and Harley Quinn. So this could mean that the villains are working with him possibly to wipe out the heroes and serve under him. Again this is just my guess could be totally wrong but I love doing this kind of stuff. Feel free to share your theory.For those of you who have not seen the new trailer then here it is.

I would come up with a theory of my own for how I think the story will go, but I won't for two reasons:

 

1) I like your theory

2) I honestly understood very little of what was going on story - wise in the first Injustice. The second one so far hasn't made it any clearer.

Maybe the destroyed city is Metropolis in a flashback. I think Supergirl was shocked at another home being destroyed and full of rage started to fight with Wonder Woman (well in a comic book fight of hero vs hero they don't need much of a excuse). If it is a flashback that would explain why Superman and Batman arrive.

That could be true but the question is are they their to stop the fight or join the fight? If it's a flashback then they might be allies but then again they might be against each other. My guess is if Supergirl was outraged of Metropolis being destroyed then Superman,Batman,and Wonder Woman dealt with the problem. Wonder Woman got their first and tried to calm her down only to engage in a fight. Then Batman and Superman arrived to end the conflict before it gets worse.

Darkseid is also supposed to be in this right? I read the tie-in comic and I wouldn't be surprised if Darkseid wanted to intervene for

That could also explain why he is a pre-order character.But does that he mean he is working with Brainiac or plotting to conquer Earth on his own. Or he is just a pre-order and nothing more.

Knowing Darkseid he could be just taking advantage of the Brainiac situation by having a divide-and-conquer strategy. I would like to think he has a bigger role in the game than just DLC though.

That's definitely a good theory, and that would be a good sequel, but I assume the details will be different.

 

Its nice to finally see some new characters like Poison Ivy, Darkseid and of course Brainiac, as well as returning characters like Bane and Robin. Lets just hope they don't screw up the story.
