Oobedoob S Benubi
At first I only saw the eight player battle stuff, but this trailer shows some bits of the story mode (which can be done in co-op with another player). What little can be seen of the main story actually looks very promising to me. I should add that I only really played Super Bomberman 2, which I really enjoyed, the other titles didn't do much for me.
soniq
I thought that it would be cool to play a new Bomberman until I found out that they want to sell this as a full priced retail game. No thanks.
Shadiochao
Shame it's an exclusive, I've been wanting a new console Bomberman for years I suppose it's a step up from being stuck on mobile phones, though

Still a lot though, depending on the size of the content that is. 5 minutes ago, Shadiochao said: Shame it's an exclusive, I've been wanting a new console Bomberman for years I suppose it's a step up from being stuck on mobile phones, though Well, if it's a success on the Switch then there might be another new game in the future for other consoles as well. A lot of the Bomberman games have been on one console only so it's no big surprise. In the past twenty years, only two Bomberman titles have been on two different consoles (both a Game Cube / PlayStation 2 combo).
NullRay85
Been a while since the last Bomberman game. Looks cool, but they could have shown more than just a couple of seconds of gameplay.

Eyjabria
Atomic Bomberman from 1997 is probably my most played PC game ever (not counting MMOs). Hours and hours of endless fun playing on the same keyboard with my friend. Of course I will be getting this new one on Switch!

Well yeah but Bomberman Live is just a basic multiplayer deathmatch game while Super Bomberman R has both multiplayer and a completely new story campaign mode (which can be played solo or in two player co-op), there's much more content there than in Bomberman Live... I'd say that only after we find out how long the story mode takes to complete and how much replay value is offered, can we really say if this game is overpriced or not. I feel like comparing the price of this new full game with the price of an XBLA multiplayer snippet is like comparing the price of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild with the price of Link's Crossbow Training on the Wii. Of course, if it turns out the story can be completed in an hour or two then I'm completely on board with calling it a rip-off. (Same goes for Zelda but somehow I expect that game will take a bit longer to play through)

Sure, but who really cares about or needs a story in Bomberman? This is purely a couch multiplayer game, at least to me. And for that it's too expensive in my opinion. Super-Fly Spider-Guy
I want this, but like, I'm already shelling out 470 for a Wii 3, not bothering with any extra contollers (right now) and I'm basically just gonna grab Zelda so I at least have something good to play. I would love to get this, I love some good old Bomberman, and since I've only really played it on Nintendo machines (GBA mostly) it would feel at home to me, but for a hundred bucks (sure Target will probably have it for 70 but that's unconfirmed yet) it's just ridiculous. You gotta be kidding right? At launch you've got one full game, 2 ports of already out multiplat games in Just Dance and Skylanders, a crappy tech demo that should have been included in 12Switch, and this. That's god awful man, and all I can do is hope the VC is up and running at launch, though it wasn't on the 3DS or Wii U, so I'm not holding my breath. However, bitching aside, this looks really fun and I can't wait until it tanks and I get it on sale or (if the library are willing, which they may be, since they have Wii U stuff) I find it at the library and play the crap out of it for free. Only Bomberman game I really played was Super Bomberman 2 and I loved it, just for the single player campaign. Now I could go on but it's Konami we're talking about, I'm sure they'll find something to disappoint us with and the easiest answer right now is that there will indeed be not nearly €50 worth of content. I can hope though... 29 minutes ago, Super-Fly Spider-Guy said: I want this, but like, I'm already shelling out 470 for a Wii 3, not bothering with any extra contollers (right now) and I'm basically just gonna grab Zelda so I at least have something good to play. I am getting a second full controller right away because part of why I'm getting the Switch is four player co-op (Snipperclips, Kart, hopefully Party), I won't get this one right away though since I'm not sure if I'm getting my money's worth with it. I'm hoping for a full Virtual Console as well, seeing as they're trying to figure out if bringing your games over from the WiiU is an option I'd say odds are in our favour. As for the number of launch games, Remember that all Nintendo consoles except the Wii and WiiU started out with a very small number of games. Nintendo thinks that where the WiiU went wrong (next to having the possibilities of the controller not being clear enough) was that the number of "must have" games came out with long gaps of nothing of interest in between, with the Switch they're trying to go for a more steady stream of content. I'd have grabbed a second controller in the past, but Mario Kart supports 2 player using those little joy con things and odds are that's all me and the missus will play, at least for a while, since Nintendo wanna charge for online we won't be picking up any shooters or anything on the platform (should any come out anyway), so it's basically just a Dylan toy at this point. If Splatoon doesn't let 2 people use the joy con independently (I doubt it will) then maybe I'll grab a remote then because the first was a blast, but again with the online, we could just stick with the first. That's true. I'm hoping against hope for the VC though. If it's there, as far as I'm concerned, Nintendo have hundreds of launch titles for me. I hate rebuying my stuff, I really do, but outside of the 3D Classics range and a few NES/SNES games here and there, I didn't really buy much on the Wii U/3DS digitally so if there's no cross buy I'm not too fussed. Hell, on the Wii U side I think the few Virtual Console games I've got (Duck Hunt, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Kart are all that's coming to mind) are from the Club Nintendo close down thing a couple years back anyway. I do have 20 odd VC games on 3DS though, would be nice if they could make their way over for free, hell, I'd be happy waiting for Odyssey to come out while replaying the shit out of them, too bad there's little to no hope for the 3D Classics line though, I thought they were all really good versions. I played the living shit out of OutRun 3D, Sonic 1&2 and Altered Beast also looked great with the updated versions. Look, I gotta be real, you give me a good OutRun game, new or old, and I will be there at midnight. Dear Sega, fuck Ferrari, just make a new OutRun with like some other sports car, or just make up your own pretend one that looks like Ferrari, that's what you did originally, and it works pretty good. Oh, and while I'm on an OutRun related thing, if anyone else out there still gives a shit about OutRun, download the (free) game on your phone called Final Freeway 2 (or 1, but 2 is better), it's basically just a really good OutRun clone with pretty visuals that feel old but look great, and you can turn it with your phone's gyro thing. It's great for the bus/toilet.

I will definitely get the holy couch multiplayer trinity of Kart/Smash/Party, and Bomberman if the story campaign lasts a while (or if I can find it on the cheap later on), and I do so hope that the Virtual Console is filled right away... 9 hours ago, Super-Fly Spider-Guy said: That's true. Personally, I already have a working SNES and I'm not really a fan of the basic NES graphics so I'd be interested mainly in the N64 Virtual Console games (my N64 broke down and the cartridges are hardly readable any more). Don't know if I already discussed this with you specificly but I'd be looking at Ocarina Of Time, Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, F-Zero X and Yoshi's Story, at the very least. Probably also Pokémon Snap, Majora's Mask and Mario Party 2. This is going on the titles available on the Wii and WiiU. It is because they are looking at a way to bring over the WiiU libraries that I'm expecting a reveal that the Virtual Console will be filled right away. It sure would be amazing... Then when more games start coming out they can lower their price so customers will see it as the "more affordable" title and purchase it over the newer games. So with "makes some major improvements" you basically mean "adds way more titles"? The list they have now might have been the easiest to get due to licencing though. There's definitely some more titles Id love... SNES: Super Bomberman 2, Super Star Wars, Super The Empire Strikes Back, Super Return Of The Jedi. N64: Rogue Squadron, Conker's Bad Fur Day (never going to happen just like Jet Force Gemini and Banjo-Kazooie/-Tooie), Body Harvest, Star Wars Racer Game Cube: Eternal Darkness!!!! Also any Zelda, Kart, Party game. Physical releases, at least for the old pre-GC days, seems like a waste of resources to me since they are so small, to put something like that on a whole disc... Perhaps if they'd put a huge number of games on one disc but it has been brought to my attention today that they actually released a whole disc for the Wii with only Super Mario All-Stars...
