Ni No Kuni 2 to cater to an international audience

Recommended Posts

In the worst case it has a map design like Final Fantasy XIII, which was in every other aspect a really good and enjoyable game.

I don't care. As long the atmosphere, the story, the VAs and the music are good. :P

Hell, Ni no Kuni 2 is the only game I'm really hyped for, because the first game was simply put a masterpiece... Don't ruin that for me! :P

A bit worried about this...usually that means the game is going to be more mainstream, which is bad. I fear this will take something away from it.

Don't worry. A name like that (Ni No Kuni II) will always turn off the mainstream.

Alone the graphics are turning off the mainstream. This superficialness is really sad, because when you can like Final Fantasy you can also like Ni no Kuni. It isn't... thaaat Japanese.

You don't even have, most people complain about that for whatever reason, boobs in this game. :P And the jp_dub isn't too high pitched. And whatever else people normally complain about...

It's really a game I could recommend to everyone who likes RPGs or super touching stories...

Ni no kuni proved that world maps were still applicable(and extremely enjoyable!) in rpgs. I would be massively dissatisfied if they threw that out. To the point of not buying the sequel till it came down in price a lot. Vote with my wallet

what could possibly go wrong?

I just want to have this game, I hope it'll give me that awesome feel I got while playing the first game or even better, sadly it won't have familiars this time but it's still sound promising so far.

Meh Level 5 Stopped doing Good games after Ps2 and DS, on Ps3 it didn't make This great of a games (That i remember) And ni No Kuni yeah it's a good game but far away from the wonderful Jrpgs that were Darck Cloud & Chronicle. It's like a Copy of Dragon quest VII when i tried it, a bad copy....

I honestly don't really care for Ni No Kuni II and not even for the first one at this point.

But i Higly doubt this Artcile is any true? I Mean taing away the J? Why? It should be like FFXV kinda gameplay for that so more action and similar to a Western one as Dragon age or Skyrim to say two that comes ot my mind; i doubt it will be like that Ni No Kuni II.

Which is? I Found Professor Layton and the diabolical Box and Rogue Galaxy: Director's Cut from this year by them and are 1 a Ps2 game and one a Ds one.

Sorry, I realized international release dates fudge things up and I need to spell things out instead of alluding to thing. Jeanne D'Arc came out in 2007 in the US and was for PSP.

"Making it as straightforward as possible for players of all cultures to understand" - What the heck does that even mean? Like more watered down? It's also a shame that Ghiblo isn't directly involved.

I wasn't a fan of the first game, but if I were quotes like that'd have me worried. Sounds like design by committee death to me, no vision. Or maybe it's just inscrutable marketing buzzword babble that really has no meaning and is more of a Rorschach than anything else. I mean what is the relationship between "culture" and "straightforward[ness]"? Is complexity meant to be a cultural barrier now?

Attempting to cater to an international audience only serves to drive away fans of the first game. I mean the "J" part of a JRPG is what makes them so appealing to people like me. I don't want a regular RPG in the style of western games. We have plenty of those already. The more I hear about this game, the less interested I become. -_-
