Grand Trophy Hunting Olympics: Featuring the Elite of PSNP!

WELCOME to a trophy hunting event like no other! After three holiday specials, four seasons of the Team League, and participating in many other trophy hunting events on the forums, I thought it was about time we decided who the strongest trophy hunter in PSNP really is! I have been scheming this idea for quite some time, and thanks to Andrea, I am finally able to make this event a reality.

 

I have selected only the strongest trophy hunters to lead this event, creating the 8 PSNP Elite! This group was chosen based off of the following criteria:

• Won at least one trophy hunting event
• Over 250 forum posts
• Over 50 platinums (not including stacks)
• At least 1000 trophies in the past year
• At least 50 ultra rare trophies (5 of which being platinums)
• Participating in a trophy hunting event as of the time this list was made

 

Now, without further ado, let's meet the team captains!

 

First Elite: jem12345

If you've ever participated in an event on here that hardly made any sense, Jem was likely in charge of it. Jem believes to be the most prestigious strategist of PSNP, but since his intricate plans normally fail, whether there is any truth in that is up for discretion. Jem has won the first two Annual Holiday Specials and has come fairly close to winning several other events, only to be blindsided in the end. In fact, Jem has been blindsided so many times that it has become an ongoing gag. For years, Jem has been striving to be recognized as one of the trophy elite, and now, he is finally the First Elite of PSNP (even though the elite aren't in strength-order, and that's also self-proclaimed).

Second Elite: HcG Clawz

Clawz, once the leader of a prestigious COD clan, now wreaks havoc across the forums with his army of visual novels. He is currently the third owner of the THL (which is fitting since he's won the platinum league three times). He has also won two seasons of the Team League with more wins likely to come. This trophy hunter may relax with a nice, long game sometimes, but when he's serious, he'll claw his way through just about any opponent.

Third Elite: GarciaFever

Garcia is a veteran trophy hunter, competing in the platinum league in the very early seasons and was constantly near the top of the leaderboards. He was on the winning team of the First Annual Holiday Special and has gotten some fairly impressive platinums over the years. He's currently in a platinum race to stay in trophy hunting shape and will jump at the chance to join another event.

Fourth Elite: Andrea

Spoiler

Andrea is the beast of PSNP, causing up quite a storm throughout most trophy hunting events this past year. She has now led her team to victory in two seasons of the Team League and has also won Season 15 of the THL. She always finishes at least near the top of every event she participates in. She'll do anything to win, from buying loads of trashy games to making a second account to play said trashy games all over again. Her dream is to one day beat her sworn rival, zajac, and become the number one trophy hunter of PSNP.

Fifth Elite: Gibbo

I don't know much about Gibbo, but I can at least say he's a force to be reckoned with. Winner of the first ever C2 League, Gibbo can pop trophies at a rapid pace, all the while maintaining a high completion rate. He hasn't had as much experience with trophy leagues as some of the other Elite, but don't even think for a second that means you can underestimate him.

Sixth Elite: MrUnknown625

Spoiler

Unknown, AN ENIGMA!....Just kidding. Unknown is in fact the highest level trophy hunter to grace himself in a trophy competition, winning Season Three of the Team League. He gets a constant inflow of games, meaning he has unlimited ammo, and pretty good ammo at that. Yet another visual novel player, Unknown can completely demolish his opponents. However, if Unknown gets too busy, he'll fall off the face of PSN for extended periods. When it comes to team competitions, he's really a double-edged sword.

The Olympics will be divided into eight rounds, each teammate needing to participate in at least three of the rounds. Before I go on, let's lay out the points system.

Point Rules:

1. Unless told otherwise, platinums are worth 10 points, and all other trophies are worth 1 point.
2. Any game counts, but no autopopping.
3. Scores will be counted as soon as the round ends, so don't even think about blindsiding!
4. There will be a one-day gap in between rounds to count scores.
5. Each round, the winning team will receive 10 points. Second will get 7, third 5, fourth 3, and fifth 1.
6. The highest individual score each round will also receive one personal point.
7. The team with the most points after eight rounds wins!
8. If an Elite doesn't announce their lineup by the time a round starts, members will be chosen at random.
9. If a round is multiple days, and an Elite doesn't select members for later days, it'll be assumed that the lineup will stay the same.
10. In the event of a tie, the team with the member with the most personal points will win.

2. Couples Synergy - Trophies only count if another member of your team earned them. Trophies stack. It'll be two days with two people in each day, meaning people can switch out and get the trophies their teammates earned on the first day. Teams can also choose to have the same lineup both days.

i thought you meant the elite hunters of psnp lol, the people with the best profiles. Not the most frequent winners in a psnp league.

I just glanced at the team leaders and there seems to be a discrepancy.  

 

Andrea seems to not fit the criteria the OP has posted for team leader. They don't have the minimum plat count, trophy count or UR trophy count. Am I missing something here?

Well, that's not the profile linked by the OP. One can only assume that Andrea does not qualify to be a team leader by the information given. If Andrea is no longer using the profile you linked, they in fact do not qualify anyway, correct?

How is it rude? This event looks like it's for trophy hunting ''elite'', not for people with ''good profiles''. All people in the OP have won or have been close to winning several trophy hunting leagues/competitions on these forums and can be considered to be very good trophy hunters. Having a ''good profile'' has nothing to do with that. If I'd start a new profile today and keep grinding and practising games like Gran Turismo 5 and Persona 4 Arena, I'd eventually get both platinums, no doubt about that. I could add some easier games to that profile and not start a new game before finishing the other. After a while I'd have a profile with +/- 30 games, 2 super rare platinum trophies and a completion percentage of 100%. Do I have a ''good profile'' by then? Yes, I'd have a lovely profile! Would that mean I'm a good trophy hunter then? No, it wouldn't. Being a good trophy hunter doesn't only mean you have to be able to 100% every game you play, it also means that you are able to compete with and beat other trophy hunters with a strategy that works for you. Grinding out games like Gran Turismo 5 during such contests means you'll definitely lose that contest so just having a ''good profile'' doesn't mean you're also a good trophy hunter.

I believe Jem just made a mistake with what profile he linked, if so she is well overqualified to be competing. Not sure what you mean by yours being "God" when she has 40+ more platinums than you. Even though she has 60 UR trophies she's still qualified to participate as an elite

 

Oh so that's what you mean, you have over 400 UR trophies. Very impressive but obviously that's not the only thing you need to be an elite, as stated by Jem she's also got previous trophy hunter league wins under her belt. I don't see a reason for her not to be qualified
