Popular Post TheYuriG
Every guide I looked guides you to complete the Single Player first and then coop and then MP. I'm here to say the following: FUCK NO! Multiplayer can be done solo most of the time and it's fast, easy and REWARDING to play through. While you can grind cash by doing the solo grind (whatever mode that is avaiable in both classic and blacklist modes), I highly recommend against it. Reason behind that is because you are going to be WAAAAAYYYY ahead in cash when you finish all the MP component to nearly max yourself out, then coop is gonna put the cherry on the top of it. Alright, let me break this down for you. Things you need to look after in coop/MP so it eases your SP path: Challenges (mostly weekly but daily too if you want) Solo MP (how to) Boost MP (how to and what) Coop (what and how) 1 - Challenges: First thing you wanna do is be aware of your current challenges right off the bat. You can do that in the SMI (world map when in the Paladin plane) or by pressing start and then triangle in game. At the bottom is going to be 15 challenges, the first will ALWAYS be the daily one unless you have completed it already and the second will be the weekly one unless once again, you have already completed it. While you can go actively for the other 13 randomized challenges, I don't recommend doing so because they adapt to your playstyle and you are going to complete a bunch of them through gameplay so in the long haul, it will be a waste of time. First off, the daily challenge can be done ANYWHERE but in MP, because it will always require equipment that you don't have access to in MP and it rewards you with 100k cash which is not an OMG MONIES!!! ammount, but still considerable to work for EVERY DAY and also very quick to do. In fact, it's worth booting up the game daily just to get those done as it usually takes from 3 to 15 minutes to complete and the money is good. Second is the weekly challenge which is EXCLUSIVE to MP and I believe that the majority of them can only be done with a partner. The 2 weeks I played this game one was about frag grenade kills and other was to steal the capture one of the modes. Please post below if the current challenge is soloable and/or if you don't understand the requirement and need help understanding since that's the only slightly painful trophy in the game (once I figured mine out, took me 10 minutes for me and my partner to complete it). Completing this challenge will net you 150k cash which is still a hefty ammount, but not worth grinding every week for. Seriously, get the trophy and get out. 2 - Solo MP Now that you have your challenges in mind, I recommend start soloing all that is possible in the MP. You will basically start every mode but team deathmatch once and win those. To start MP, from the SMI press L2, select the Spies vs Mercs options in private matches and when the lobby loads, customize it to the minimum and fastest possible options, also try always playing in the same map so you know it by heart in the latter half of the MP, saving you time from going from one point to the other (I used Silo but it's up to you). One Extraction (Rated Intel Courier), one Uplink Control (Rated Agressor), SvM [CLASSIC AND BLACKLIST] (Rated Hacker)*optional. While you should set capture to instant (SvM C/B and Uplink Control) and no carry penalty (Extraction), it's recommended that you don't put the endgame capture to 1 because as soon as you complete that, the game will load you on the other side and that takes time. Instead, wait the respective trophy to pop and press start and then choose to return to lobby, what will force the game to end and save your stats, giving you the victory and cash. * If you are smarter than the average and most importantly, keep track of what you are doing, you can play SvM (classic and blacklist) exclusively in the boost MP portion since you are forced to boost 10 assists which should take at least 7 matches for both you and your partner. More about that below. 3 - Boost MP (Use Gaming Sessions!) Grab your MP partner from somewhere else than this thread and start a Team Deathmatch game, customize the killcount to 10 and trade victories. If you completed SvM C/B in the solo step, you are going to pop Lethal Versality upon this victory. If not, it will pop after you complete both extra wins below. If you chose the smarter and faster way which is getting those 2 game mode wins during the assists, make sure you change modes at least once. Start with SvM Classic and from the second match onwards play SvM Blacklist, always setting it to instant capture and 3 captures limit, then ask your partner to use the Change Teams option before starting the match so you both are on the same team. Now that it's done, start the match and run to the capture objectives and capture it as soon as your partner is close enough. Don't worry, the range is pretty big (bigger than 5 people side by side from the center). Each one of you need to get 10 assists and since the biggest possible number of captures per match is 3, it will take at least 7 (7x3=21) matches for both you and your partner finish this. As soon as the 3 areas have been captured, the game will change sides for you both and you gonna face the annoyingly long loading screen. As soon as you can choose the Merc class, press start and Return to Lobby. Rinse and repeat until both players have Support Ops. Now you should also have Lethal Versality if you didn't mess anything up. Now all that's left is completing the weekly challenge. Those can only be done in MP and the description are somewhat confusing to who don't play the MP regularly, but it will always say what game mode is required, so there is that. Sometimes the game demands that you get a kill with a certain weapon or gadget. In those cases, your best bet is setting a Team Deathmatch game with the highest possible requirements and boost from there. Try customizing equipment before starting the match and search throughly to see which side owns the equipment you need to use to get kills with. Once that is done and you bag the 150k award and Seven Day Duty Shift, buy a mercenary loadout slot and a mercenary light machine gun for Personal Kit and Firearm Accessed and you are done with the MP for this game and set to start the coop part of it. 4 - Coop The cooperatve missions for this game are split in 4 different categories and a few of them are more suitable for specific masteries. None of what you do here interfere in your campaign stats, so feel free to kill without mercy here without thinking it will risk No Kill Option Engaged, because it won't count against you. GO LETHAL! Don't bother playing these solo, they are much easier and fun with a partner. The coop in this game shines! With all the money you got from MP and the challenges you completed there, upgrade your Paladin by talking to Grimm (the girl) and improve your loadout to make it as stealth as possible. You are looking into buying both upgrades to Cockpit/Charlie's Workshop/Command and Control [these will give you a expanded radar/allow you to buy prototype weapons -SC4000 is god-/see all secondary objectives in your area, respectively]. Getting these upgrades is more important than improving your loadout] replacing the Stun Gun for the Crossbow and buying its Sleeping Bolts upgrade, buying the Sleeping Gas Grenade/Proximity Shocker/Trirotor/EMP gadgets, the SC4000 assault rifle (and its relevant upgrades), the stealthiest avaiable armor (prioritize buying the chest/leg pieces as those will increase your ammo count) and the highest ranked googles. Seeing through walls helps a lot in normal mode (what you gonna be playing in coop) but it's impossible in Perfectionist, so don't get too used to that. Now that you are set, grab a partner and communicate. Using Discord is always recommended and let them know which playstyle you both should be working on. All dead drops and laptops counts for both players and are saved instantly the moment they are picked up, regardless if you get spotted or die, you keep them and their money rewards. Don't focus on completing Ghost in coop as you are going to get plenty of those in the campaign because of the non-killing requirement. Always get the Missions breakdown is as follows: Grim missions are EXCLUSIVELY STEALTH and getting spotted will restart the mission: Focus on the Panther Style on those, use the SC4000 (press until single fire is selected) for body shots and lethal takedowns and you should easily meet the requirement in them (press start and check the bottom right corner to check). Brigg missions are EXCLUSIVELY COOP. Focus on Panther/Assault on these, except for the last mission which can be done with all 3 requirements in a single run. Do it. There is also a (retarded) competitive coop trophy in the second or third mission, make sure to restart checkpoint as soon as one person gets that and then trade it so the other person also gets it. Charlie missions are retarded. You are basically locked in a single area and you need to defeat 5+ waves to survive because........... reasons. Get the laptop as soon as you can and be aware of lasers, always bring a EMP for those. You aren't getting any masteries in these unless you push 10+ waves, but i'll say right off the bat: Not worth it, time wise. Yeah you can get incredibly high scores and cash from those, but they take an hour plus to complete the 20 waves and again, isn't worth it because you gonna have way more than you need with the remaining content. Kobin missions are the best part of the coop if you are looking for masteries. You can get all 3 of them (in separate runs) in every mission as you as you are playing coop. You can also get them solo, but won't be so easy. Every mission has 2 areas and if you alert enemies in one of them, the area will get reinforced. I recommend starting all these by doing assault and then panther and then ghost. Yeah, ghost these missions if you want, that lowers a lot the requirement of the campaing which lets you run past some enemies in a few stages since you don't need ghost ratings. After all that, you can start campaign or clean up a few more masteries. Road to platinum will be based solely on your single player progress, good luck. Skadoki
That's a good read - I'll definitely come back to it once I'll come around replaying SC series.
Max_Playne
So, should I do every co-op trophy online or is it possible to do everything on split-screen?
TheYuriG
You can do some solo, but most gotta be done online. I don't think this game has split screen.

You can do the co-op missions split screen but not solo because there are some parts you'll need to have four arms for.
