Thoughts on This Game

You know it saddens me to see some games don't have a single forum post, so I figured I'd start one. So I got SOTD a few months ago on sale for $5. I finished it a couple weeks ago and I thought it was pretty damn solid for how much it was. Despite the repetitive combat story and visuals were very pleasing, what about you?

Im not far. Got it on launch.

Its a good game i like the story for as far as i am. Some of the puzzels want to make me bash my face in like having to carry a mine half way crost the lv w.o gettn hit to blow up a wall to progress.

And having the mine get splash damage or plant it wrong heh.

I was thinking finishing up the game this weekened. I think im 1/4th thru it.

I thought I'd like this game a lot more than I did. I usually like smaller indie games, so I was very excited when I heard Insomniac made a game just for the joy of it. There is just something missing and the "puzzles" are more frustrating than clever.

I think other than the visuals, this game is very mediocre. The voice over is very annoying. It feels like a mom reading a story book to a three year old. The gameplay is fun in some areas and awful in others. I particularly dislike how they padded the amount of hours by sticking over 200 treasures around the map. It feels like they spent more time trying to figure how to obscure treasures than building a decent story.

Really enjoyed this one. Really nothing overly taxing in terms of the puzzles. I actually played after getting all the trophies to finish up all the items and treasures to 100%.

Definitely there was enough content here that the list should have had a platinum. They could easily have added some trophies for all the collectibles.

Still, highly recommend this one for anyone on the fence, and it routinely goes on sale digitally for about $5 (that said, I managed to get a physical copy in the bargain bin at EBGames for $7)

My thoughts in a nutshell. I really wanted to like this game but after a couple of hours, I was bored and frustrated so shelved it for a few months :(.
