It's more like one or two...maybe three for me. It's not really a necessity,  but I feel more comfortable not having to re-learn controls after a long absence. Things go a lot quicker when you're still familiar with a game too. Knowing where to go and what to do on subsequent playthroughs is one of my biggest reasons for not skipping around.

 

It's great when you can find a game where you can get a trophy every day. Seems like most of the games I've been playing lately have really grindy trophy in the mix or some difficulty spike that requires some dedication. I try not to let myself get caught up in the numbers because it'll hinder me from my main goal of getting to 100%. I'll get there one day.

As for me, I couldn't complete my task as my frustration was unmanageable so I... got a little angry and created a new account which will be my 100% completion account. I'll still use this handle for the forums but I'll be unable to do what I had hoped for, earning trophies every day on this account because I'll be busy adding trophies to my new account, MidnightCJ. (Named after Midnight Louie, a fictional black cat who fancies himself a detective. My mom bought me the book series. ) I'll still try to maybe work on 100% games but I will be slowing down on going for platinums on this account.

You can always add the new trophy card in your signature. That way other people can see your progress.

Thanks for the advice! I am going to put down the progress of my new account here. I'm trying to get my first platinum so when I do I'll put the info down in this post. Actually, I can't see signatures so I don't think anyone would see my trophy card.

 

EDIT: Thanks to a softlock in Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, I screwed up my collectibles and missed Lost AND Bibliophile, so I just did Radio Enthusiast and put the game away for a while as I have to do a THIRD playthrough. I softlocked going for Perpetual Motion.

Day 2: April 12th 2017

Reach for the Stars  in The Four Kings Casino and Slots

 

Today's first trophy is a big one, the one to reach level 40 in The Four Kings Casino and Slots. I've been grinding this trophy for almost a year now (most of the time just doing the daylies so not really getting much xp, but still) and with it I finally have 100% at this game. I'm also the 14th member of this site to 100% this game, needless to say this trophy is UR.

 

The reason I finally managed to get this one is because about a week ago I hit a big jackpot which allowed me to start betting higher and thus gaining more. After that it went fast and I grinded out the last 3 levels in a week.

 

About the game: this is a casino game, so if you like casinos but don't want to loose real money (stay away from the buy chips options) this is your game. You can play poker, blackjack, slots, and all your other loved casino games for free!

My best ever is 52 days and I really wanted to beat that. Got to day 45ish and completely forgot one day. I honestly didn't much care for the worrying and planning(and game swapping)  I had to do to even reach that far, so this is a cool stat I just don't want to worry about.

So I tried checking through google if there are any non-TT sites that track trophy streaks and first result was an old PSNP thread which is basically this one from two years ago:

? Holy cow! I don't think I can manage even THAT much. (Then again, if it was all visual novel junk, I'd be far less impressed. ?)

 

Anyways, wanted to update. Finally started playing Yooka-Laylee thanks to cannibalizing Disgaea 5(which I probably will never get to playing; sadly, my love for the Disgaea series and everything Nippon Ichi has since grown moldy and turned to dust. ), three Pokemon games(RIP Pokemon, but then again I haven't been training my Pokemon at all so it's a huge waste to have games you aren't touching at least once a week) and Wind Waker HD. ? (I loved it, but sadly I have Breath of the Wild for my Wii U Zelda needs.) The total trade cost: $61, not only enough for the Lizard and Bat (to paraquote an old phrase from Banjo days) but also enough to put money towards DQH2 and secure a pre-order.

 

But I didn't open it up right away - I had a Platinum to secure and dammit, no softlock was going to ruin my Platinum of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture! Still, I managed to not only unlock the first two worlds in YL, but also expand them and get all of the Trowzer moves from both worlds. I got 1/3 of the trophies in this game. Still, I hate Rampo, he's the most unfair boss ever because the Roll move sucks and if you get hit while on a slope, you'll break your roll and slide down the ramp. ? Still, I think I will enjoy earning the Plat in this game. It's what Banjo Kazooie with Trophy Support!

Day 3: I have another trophy saved for tomorrow, so I should be fine. Meanwhile, I'm working on getting everyone to level 99. Don't know how long I'll last. I just want to finish this game and move on to the next one, regardless of my earning trophies. It might turn out that I'd miss a day sooner than later.

Don't sweat the details. If you have to break the chain due to completing stuff in a game, that means you'll get the platinum on that game sooner and can focus on more games later. The articles I read said you should focus on one task at a time to improve productivity.

Cool! I've been focusing on one game now, it doesn't feel efficient though. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm a slow gamer.

Day 3: April 13th 2017

 

The First Trophy:

Arcade Skill Level 1  from Brick Breaker

 

I had some more time today and picked up 6 trophies, this one was the first but not the most interesting though. Brick Breaker is a game that... well the name says it all, it's your classic brick breaker game. Not the best brick breaker though. I wouldn't advice this one even to brick breaker fans. But since I have it I try to pick up some trophies in it. The most interesting trophy I got today was 'Team Player' from Guns Up because this was the last one I needed to 100% that game. I also got a new game on my profile: Dead Rising and picked up 2 trophies from that one

Was planning to get two plats but the body was weak. Anyways, I got the second Platinum(Nothing Ever Remains Obscure, a really great interactive story but I was lucky that it was Thursday because that game has a trophy which requires you to do something in the middle of the game on a Thursday in real time) and then I worked on Buff Knight Advanced for a while, got to Stage 6 before getting stone-walled by the troll which heals faster than I can damage him. Will probably farm early stages to get the remaining artifacts.

 

After that, spent the early morning after midnight doing the grind in World of Final Fantasy to get some decent levels for Reynn and Lann so I can breeze through to Mako Reactor 0 so I can get the Magitek Armors for both of them.

• Sweet Revenge (managed to clear the Pyreglow Forest murkrit, ran into a Catrot but it ran away before I could imprison it)
• Love Tap (had to do the intervention twice because Warrior of Light failed to kill Princess Goblin even after doing 855 since she used Cura, arrrrrrgh! Imprisoned her and now she's serving as my healer - Princess Goblin *" is the best Mirage early-game as she learns Cura, Raise and abilities that nullify status ailments and spend Phoenix Downs if someone drops)

Day 4: Just found out that Delphinus only shows up on NG+. A quick playthrough shouldn't be too difficult as I only need the Colosseum to appear.

Today I earned a lot of trophies because I spent all afternoon getting 0%-100% in Deponia. It's a great point and click and a nice remake of the P game. The whole way you mix things together to make new objects was fun.

I am going to try for a couple more point-and-click games tonight to get to five platinums and then work on Lara Croft and Hitman GO games. I admit that I am earning my first platinums in really short easy games but I am working on World of Final Fantasy, Yooka-Laylee and plan on getting Persona 5 soon.

It's early morning but I spent all night on Yooka-Laylee. I actually manage to unlock all the worlds and get all the moves from Trowzer while looking for a shortcut from World 3 to World 2. Oh well. I am just missing three more Pagies from the Tribalstack Tropics(the second race with Nimble, beating Rextro's arcade score and finding 6 quills I can't seem to find even though I scoured every inch of the world, which is expanded by the way). I haven't expected Moodymaze Marsh, Capital Cashino or Galleon Galaxy yet.

I don't think I should join this event. The games I play are not made for this, it takes too much time to get a trophy once a day and I don't feel like adding random games to my account just for that even though it shouldn't be hard to keep this up for at least three to six months or maybe even a year without outright murdering my completion. PSN sales, the recent Humble Bundle and PS+ gave me enough short games to do that.
