Popular Post Couch
Hello Survivors, Second day of the final week and it feels like just yesterday that we started. I still remember shooting Psy a message saying my idea and him wondering if it would even work. Wondering if people would have any interest and how we would be able to keep that interest for three months. I think the fact that we made it this far speaks for itself. It was you guys. As quiet as the thread got at some points it’s amazing to see how much planning and communicating you guys did on the outside in order to get to where you are now. Without all of you, this never would have made it past the first week but here we are. Rites of Passage: I hadn’t planned on doing the rites of passage portion but Glennrhee a few weeks back mentioned it. Clearly as an idol attempt but I thought it’d be a good idea. For those of you not familiar, it’s meant as a way to pay respect to those that were eliminated. So here we are. The final three all took the time to say some words about each of you. It’ll start in the order you were eliminated. Also for your viewing pleasure a comment you or someone made that made me laugh at one point or another. @HcG Clawz “You were probably one of the deadliest threats in Survivor. That combined with the fact that you were involved in C3 made your early elimination unavoidable. You should be honored though. You came off as so strong that we were afraid to compete with you. You have my respect” – Jem “If you were as dangerous as the others said, then you needed to go sooner than later. Voting you out was purely a strategic decision, and I hope there's no hard feelings because of it.” – GlennRhee “I was not able to talk to you during the event but I have seen that you can produce high amount of trophies from previous THLs and surely could have been a force to reckon with.” – Enma “Also, did anyone else notice how much better Team Blue did once we got rid of that dead weight known as @HCG Clawz?” - Stalker @Wdog-999 “I'm so sorry that you were kicked out of our original alliance so soon. I was strongly opposed to it but couldn't really do anything, being on the other team. It was good for us in the long run since enma almost got voted off instead, but I still feel like it was wrong to betray you after taking that dive. I hope there are no hard feelings.” – Jem “I didn't find out about your elimination until right before it happened, and I wish we could have been allies for longer. You were a good competitor and I would have liked to see you go farther than you did.” – GlennRhee “Same with Claws, I was not able to interact with you during the event and you are someone who can produce a lot of trophies. I was not yet aware of that time and allianceless thus my vote on you during tribal council was objectively based on your low score output (which was intentional). Surely could have been another force to reckon with.” - Enma “I don’t know what’s happening here, but if this results in hard feelings that swell up over time and become bad enough to ruin the bond between contestants, then I will be more than happy to take credit and say this was my revenge” - Wdog @the_name_is_matt “Believe it or not, I really enjoyed competing with you. As far as I'm aware, you were the only person besides kent and me to reach out to people outside of your friend zone to form alliances early on in the game. It was great to see how much you cared about the event, and if it was possible, I kind of wanted to keep you around a while longer.” – Jem “You were probably the biggest threat on the opposing team from my perspective, just because of your willingness to be a leader. I think you could have really thrown a wrench in our plans if we didn't get you out when we did.” – GleenRhee “Thanks for having an alliance with me and was the first and only alliance invite I had that time. I thought you did a great job in leading our allliance and could have made it far in the event or potentially be the winning alliance.” – Enma “I am calm so You need to chill out and I didn’t try anything. I only spoke the truth and I have evidence to back everything I say so if you really want me to put you on blast I will!!!!” – Matt @TwitchReflex “Thank you for supporting our team the first few weeks of the event. You may not have put up the highest of scores, but you were always willing to help out.” – Jem “You were a really good teammate. You were always willing to compete, and I can really appreciate that. I'm sorry we voted you out so early.” – GlennRhee “I think of you as a solid contributor and teammate but was unfortunately on the other team thus we were not able to work together.” – Enma “So you don’t need to earn trophies to win?!?. I’m in. Best of luck to whomever’s in my team” - Twitch @spazza136 “I know we're not the best of friends, but I can at least say that I respect you for how upset you got over losing your friends in Survivor. Your heart was in the right place.” – Jem “When I put up a big number for the week, you congratulated me. We were on opposing teams, so we never got a chance to interact beyond that, but I really appreciated your words that week.” – GlennRhee “You come to my mind as probably one of the highest scorers in our alliance.” – Enma “I thought it was pretty clear Mark, looking forward to giving it a crack. Don’t feel too bad about your hosting skills either, it’s difficult to be as good as Jem was hosting the Olympics. We all had so much fun in that one” - Spazza @EpicNogg4 “I'm sorry things didn't work out for you. You weren't the last C3 member eliminated because you were the weakest. I opted to keep you around because I was interested to see what you'd be able to pull off when cornered. Things may not have been great this season, but I hope we can have a rematch someday.” – Jem “I wish we could have seen you around more! I would have liked to have competed against you.” – GlennRhee “My last alliance mate around before I accepted Jem's offer to have an alliance. You are perceived to be a low threat due to being always busy with stuff other than trophy hunting or doing the challenges. lol but could have been fun to stay longer due to your character.” – Enma “This is my time. My moment. The day will come where I finally win a Couch event. This is that event. Be Ready. #Nogg4President” - Nogg @Tearraven “It's it a shame you were sacrificed by your own alliance right before jury. Part of me wanted to compete against you in top form. Like a lot of others here, I hope we have a proper rematch someday.” – Jem “We didn't want you to be voted out the week that you were. The plan was to go after someone else, but things didn't work out that way. You could have made it much further, I think” – GlennRhee “I didn't get plenty of chance to talk to you during the event but I'm sure you could have done well on the challenges had you stay longer.” – Enma “Im enjoying the event despite it being quiet. Maybe we’ll have something happen that will bring people from out of the woodworks” - Raven @Kent10201 “I've said everything I've wanted to say to you long ago. My paranoia got the better of me, and I made the worst decision in Survivor by voting you out. You deserved to make it much further. I'm sorry.” – Jem “I'm really happy that you reached out to me and asked me to join an alliance. I had expected to play the game entirely alone and with the hopes of somehow making jury, but you reached out to me, and I wish we could have played together longer. When everything went down, I was in favor of pulling you back into our alliance, and I'm so sorry that didn't happen. I'm glad we're still friends.” – GlennRhee “I thought you did well in this event similar to jem and managed to tear down our alliance (with matt) and being unpredictable majority of the time. Looking forward to play with you again in different events (and to have a rematch on you on thl) lol” – Enma “You could’ve just asked me to earn a letter” - Kent @MStalker58 “True to your name, you were one of the best double-agents in the game, second only to kent. That UR challenge was some battle! You were the first person to force me to try the entire event, and that deserves some praise.” – Jem “I'm so sorry for the week you had. At the time, I was capable of beating anyone in a tiebreaker, so none of us expected there to be a tie at tribal, let alone at reward as well. It was really fun being partners with you for the alphabet challenge!” – GlennRhee “I think of you as one of the two highest scorers on the radar after jem's alliance split. I felt relieved that the alliance voted you off early.” – Enma “Wait a second…..I was the one eliminated so shouldn’t I be the one blowing up the thread? Hope it stays this interesting until the finals” - Stalker @Lucas “Despite barely competing, you somehow made it pretty far. Nice job.” – Jem “You were someone else I wished I could have seen around more. I hope we can play together in a future event.” – GlennRhee “I thought you did well during the event despite barely competing. Looking forward to play with you again and share info on those 100% gainz lol” – Enma Jem posts a huge post about how he’s created an alliance. Lucas’ response = “K” @Fredoline05 “Not once did I think of you as a puppet. As annoyed as I am that you left our alliance, I respect your decision. Once this is over, I will help you make an event you can be proud to compete in.” – Jem “I understand your reasons for defecting. I think it was the right move, even if it didn't work out. I'd love a second chance at being your ally some day, and I'm sorry for what happened.” – GlennRhee “Thanks for being part of the alliance up to the late stages of the game. And for keeping the game competitive when we're about to get the upperhand.” – Enma “I prefer being dealt with with my held high than go all the way feeling I missed out on the game. So whatever your punishment may be, let it come!” – Fred @acetryhard “Thank you for staying with us so long. I'm sorry about what happened to you a few weeks ago. Don't feel bad for not being able to compete. Life happens sometimes, and we do what we need to do. Of course we're still friends!” – Jem “Ace, you were like a ball of sunshine in the chat. You always provided suggestions for games we should buy, and having you around was a lot of fun. I'd love to stay boosting partners with you.” – GlennRhee “Thanks for being on the alliance up to the later stages of the game. I'm sure you picked the right choice as real life takes priority.” – Enma Hard one since Ace didn’t post much. But publicly he did this once. “I vote Jam Jem!” - Ace @xZoneHunter “You were my bar this summer. Defeating you was an important step on my journey towards being a well-accomplished trophy hunter. You gave us a tough fight, and I was worried for a while that you would win the whole thing. By some miracle, I managed to barely scrape a win. It was an amazing fight, one that I will not soon forget.” – Jem “We tried to get you out for weeks. You were the biggest threat this summer, and it was honestly a privilege to be able to compete against you. I hope that one day I can be even half as good a trophy hunter as you are” – GlennRhee “I think of you as one of the two high scorers in the radar after the alliance split and even managed to reach final 4 and almost beat us until the last hour. Looking forward to play against you again in the future or maybe being on the same side.” – Enma Psy posts a message and Zone says “Who are you again? I’m Joking” At least the thread got a bit of activity aside from Jem’s team fishing for idol clues” - Zone Thanks to everyone for doing their part this week. Shaping up quite well.

Popular Post Couch
Day 3 of the final Week. Today's the chance for the jury to ask their questions for @Enma8910. Once all the questions were in, they were sent to the final 3. Here are Enma's responses to those questions: @Kent10201 asks: What is the move (other than siding with Jem) that you believe allowed you to make it this far? "probably being more of a neutral and as jem described before recruiting me was being the least connected one." Why should you win over the other competitors despite having less competition wins than either of them? "good question. I think we have done our respective roles whether its doing the challenge or background work and covering for each other when glennrhee is dealing with personal stuff, jem with work/vacation and me with out of town trips. But to answer the question probably being the most neutral.." How the fuck did the three of you manage to get all but two of the idols (the two of which were used ineffectively)? "I guess we were really just lucky like being able to get the hidden immunity idol from the auction, winning the immunity idol hint, jem deciding to gift an immunity idol due to the power of friendship and zone accepting the alliance offer in the thread." @MStalker58 asks: What do you plan on buying with the prize money if you win? " I have not yet fully decided on what to buy but it will probably go to a FFXIV subscription or a danganronpa game from the current sale." What was your favorite moment in Survivor? "My favorite moment would be after your elimination, not specifically because you were eliminated, but because that's the time the "shit hits the fan"" @xZoneHunter asks: Which immunity/reward challenge did you put the most time and effort in? "Several come to mind, the earn at least 1 trophy per hour challenge, the olympic immunity challenge and the free for all immunity challenge where someone gets eliminated after 5hrs (I still think I should have not saved the plats and used the mayo bomb to win this challenge :)P" @Fredoline05 asks: Are you proud of how you played the game, or what would you have done differently if given the opportunity? "Yes, I am proud of how I played the game because I have gotten to know glennrhee and jem better, got to work with you and ace for that short time, had matches against zone, and managing to survive. If given the opportunity, I would have liked to try participating in all of the interesting challenges instead of dropping some of them." In your opinion what could Couch change to make the event more even to all participants (I'd like to see the winner's point of view on this one)? "I thought that there were few instances of inconsistency on the rules of the reward/immunity challenges and having a more polished rules would definitely be better for everyone. And maybe an additional incentive for individuals that wanted to win the team matches when the rest of the team is in the opposing alliance and wanted to drop the challenge." @Lucas asks: Why did you decide to trust jem and join his alliance? "I'd say that, initially, I have just played the cards that was handed to me then later on turned out that we have sort of built trust with each other and gotten better as a team after each challenge" @acetryhard asks: What was the grindiest moment for you in this competition? "I think grindiest for me would be having to ensure I get at least 1 trophy per hour and managing to score 30 plus pts including the bonuses" We'll check back in tomorrow with @jem12345 responses to his questions Edited August 18, 2017 by Couch
jemmie
It seems a few people want me to stream, so I'll be playing some Killing Floor 2 tonight and answering any additional questions the jury may have. It'll start at 10:30 pm EST tonight. I know that's late for some people, but I have a busy day today, so that's pretty much the earliest I can do it. I hope at least a few of you show up. Here's the link in case anyone's interested.
Couch
A little early but welcome to Day 4 of final week. Today is Jem's day to respond to his jury questions. @Kent10201 asks: What was the worst decision you made while playing Survivor? The worst decision I made was easily turning you into an enemy. I was annoyed by the idea that people thought that I would only get far because you were helping me, so I decided to kick you off, despite my better judgement. You could've easily been persuaded to switch sides without much effort and would've been nice to have around in the later stages of the game, especially considering our alliance started defecting as soon as you left. What was the hardest challenge to overcome during the event? I'm assuming you mean a struggle I had to overcome, rather than a literal challenge. I'd have to say keeping a stable alliance. Besides the members of C3 and Walt, I have made at least one alliance with every member of the event (not including the alliance of ten at the start). It seemed like every week, someone would be leaking information and/or trying to blindside me. Katie was the only one I was able to grow to trust the first half of the game, so it took a lot of manipulation to survive to our final alliance. How the **** did the three of you manage to get all but two of the idols (the two of which were used ineffectively)? Around Week 3, Katie and I started working on trying to figure out the Hangmans. I noticed a three-letter word and immediately thought of 100. During the next two weeks, I pushed Katie towards 100 trophies for our first idol. Katie then managed to get another idol using her extensive Survivor knowledge. Around that time, you told me about the switch, and I convinced you to trick your alliance into exiling me, earning us three idols at the time of the merge. Enma figured out the alliance idol, and I quickly swiped that one as soon as it was available. I also did a giant info dump of multiple Survivor wikis, expecting to get two idols at once. When I didn't, I got a little nervous. You see, at the time, I didn't have full trust in Enma yet and promised to give him one of my two idols to keep him on our side. I had no choice but to give him my idol, which ironically gave me idol number five. And then I saved all of my points for during the auction for the inevitable final idol. @MStalker58asks: Do you have any deals to split the prize money with other members? We all feel like we all deserve the money, so of course we're splitting it. We haven't decided on the exact method yet, but what it'll probably be is Winner takes $50, others take $40. If you had to compare your game to any contestant on the actual Survivor show, who would it be? I haven't watched Survivor in a long time, so I can't really say for certain. Richard Hatch sounded pretty cool though. Let's go with him. @xZoneHunterasks: Which immunity/reward challenge did you put the most time and effort in? The reward challenge I put the most effort into was the UR challenge. Believe it or not, a lot went wrong during that challenge. A Minecraft trophy that was supposed to take an hour took about six, and then another Minecraft trophy was teetering on the edge of Very Rare (which it did less than a week later). I spent the last two+ hours trying to get an injustice trophy that just wouldn't pop. The trophy was to use all special attacks, so I had to keep cycling through the characters, praying something would work. With less than ten minutes left, I switched to BMX+ (a game I suck at) and somehow got the winning trophy in time. I tend to get a bit of a skill boost when in a close match. Which leads me to the immunity challenge I spent the most time/effort in, which was obviously the long games challenge. Originally, Enma was supposed to do the challenge, but deep down, I knew I had to be the one to do it, and I'm glad I did. Even though work/commute took close to half of my time away, I had to keep trying. I pulled two near all-nighters, sleeping for only three hours the entire challenge. I absolutely destroyed Flappy Goat, a trophy that took me 100 times as long on the PS3 (no exaggeration), and grabbed the spoils from every FTP I had left. While at work, one of my counters told me I was winning 266-211. I counted, and you had 267 (way to go, counter). Unable to get you to slow down, I was ready to give up and concede. But then, Kent reminded me of the ultimate weapon, Minecraft! I bought the game, called my mother and guided her through downloading/updating the game (now that was an annoying phone call). I came home as fast as I could, and with everything planned out, I was supposed to get about 60 points. Not being able to focus on anything but the game, I knew that wasn't enough. I earned trophies until the very end, somehow getting a whopping 78 points in an hour, passing you within the last ten minutes. It was such a rush and easily the high point of the entire event. @Fredoline05 asks: Are you proud of how you played the game, or what would you have done differently if given the opportunity? I am proud of the way I was able to manipulate my enemies, make new friends, and help my alliances out in challenges, whether by strategizing for them or competing myself. What I'm not proud of is how I handled victory. In the beginning, I knew most of C3 hated me, so I acted like a villain so they would think I wasn't in an alliance with anyone. The role kind of stuck, and I later chose to taunt anyone and everyone who opposed me, just so I would be a target, rather than my allies. It's easier to decide who to use idols on that way after all. Looking back, this barely helped my game, and some of my posts were a little cringe-worthy. If we were to do this again, I wouldn't be as annoying. In your opinion what could Couch change to make the event more even to all participants (I'd like to see the winner's point of view on this one)? Since this was the first season of Survivor, I took the liberty throughout the season to find every loophole imaginable and exploiting them. That being said, hereis my Loophole Handbook. The ones in red are ones that really shouldn't be allowed. Others are either rules that should have been better explained or rules you wouldn't have known unless you asked. Speaking of, Couch SOMETIMES posted answers to pm'd questions on the thread, but not all the time (*cough *cough changing elimination rules *cough *cough). That is why there should be a rule that all questions must be asked on the thread for all to see. Also, people who either forfeit a challenge or score zero points should get a penalty vote. Besides tweaking the rules though, the weekly schedule was absolutely dreadful (at least for me since I worked this summer). Why was Sunday a free day? WHY?! And the immunity challenge is more important than reward, so why not put that during the weekend when most people can compete? If the schedule was just moved back two days, we may have seen much better immunity challenge face-offs. @Lucas asks: What was the most nail-biting moment for you in the event? Voting off Tear. At the time, I really didn't want to use an idol, so I did a full-day investigation to see who voted for whom. First, I went to zone, who revealed nothing except they were following kent's plan. Kent was on edge that week due to his alliance barely trusting him as-is, so I needed more evidence before I could confront him. Luckily, I convinced stalker to tell me everything he knew. You were splitting the vote between me and tear, but stalker only knew that he voted for tear and tear voted for me. I convinced him to ask you and zone who you voted for. Stalker immediately came back and said zone voted for me, but you took your sweet time. I was almost certain you were lying, but I had to talk to kent first, just to be sure. After a while, he finally admitted that the plan was his idea, but he wouldn't stop saying that you voted for me. So I told him that I voted for tear without idoling, and kent flipped out. That was all the evidence I needed. I sent my vote (after a good twenty minutes of hovering over the send button), and almost immediately got this message: On 7/11/2017 at 3:11 PM, Couch said: Lol LMAO. SMH haha haha Couch then made me wait a full hour before revealing the votes. Was that necessary? No. Was it funny? No. @acetryhard asks: What if your elaborate plans had all failed early in the competition and you were eliminated what would you do? I wouldn't have been too surprised. Being as hated as I am, I didn't expect people to trust me enough to keep me around until it was too late. I never would've made friends with the members of our alliance sadly, and I probably would've retired in shame. I'm glad that didn't happen. ^-^ We'll check back in tomorrow with glennrhee's answers.
Couch
Alrighty folks. Last day for questions. Here are Katie's responses @Kent10201Questions Was there ever a decision you made that was independent and not approved by your alliance? Honestly, every move we made towards the end was kind of a team effort. There were things I definitely disagreed with my alliance on - I was in favor of you joining us when you were kicked out of the other alliance, and I wasn't on board with voting out Stalker when we did - but in terms of strategy, making a unilateral decision wasn't fair to the rest of my alliance. I did go against the plans during challenges and play different games than what was recommended, though. What is the most memorable moment in the event for you? Trying to plat Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with Jem and having a trophy glitch on me, forcing us to start over. That, or when the three of us tried to boost Paladins and kept getting deserter penalties. How the beep did the three of you manage to get all but two of the idols (the two of which were used ineffectively)? I know a lot about Survivor, so we went over the most memorable parts of the show (Richard Hatch, Sandra, Johnny Fairplay, etc) and tried them all in the chat. We also sat up all night once and tried to brute force the hangmans. Asking Zone for an alliance was a clue that we won during a team immunity challenge, but no one was able to claim it because at the time, I controlled two idols. The others were mostly luck, such as Enma winning the hidden auction item that granted the idol as opposed to the hidden item Fred got. Not to keep bringing up friendship, but it really was a group effort. @MStalker58 Questions What do you plan on buying with the prize money if you win? I want to extend my FFXIV sub. A lot of it ran out during the event. Do you have any regrets from the event? Not really! For me, the event was all about pushing myself to do my own personal best. With that in mind, the only thing I would have done differently was not let a real life situation affect me during the immunity challenge the week you left. I feel bad for letting my alliance down. @xZoneHunter Questions Which immunity/reward challenge did you put the most time and effort in? Definitely the Uncommon challenge (the one where I outscored the entire opposing team). It was basically two days of nonstop playing, and even when I was exhausted, I stayed up and pushed through to earn as many points as possible. @Fredoline05 Questions Are you proud of how you played the game, or what would you have done differently if given the opportunity? My only regret was not pushing myself during one specific immunity challenge and letting real life get in the way. I'm proud of how many trophies I earned and the friendships I've formed. I'm proud that I was able to put certain games on my profile (WRC and Guacamelee, specifically), which will force me to play them in the future. The game was really fulfilling for me in a lot of ways, and I wouldn't trade that. In your oppinion what could Couch change to make the event more even to all participants (I'd like to see the winner's point of view on this one)? I actually think it was very even. The challenges varied on rarity (some required you to earn commons, some required URs), and most gave you more points for earning plats. Immunity idols were not hinged on any one specific thing. I won my first one for earning 100 trophies during the event, and my second for mentioning Sandra in the thread. I may have had a slight advantage in that regard, since I've watched every season of Survivor, but even people who had never seen a single episode could win immunity idols by earning plats or just trophies in general. I never felt at any point like the event was catered to one type of player. There were immunity challenges I was better suited for, and some that others were better suited for. I also came in the game not knowing anyone. I'd never posted on PSNP apart from a comment here or there. So the game wasn't dependent on having pre-existing friendships, either. @Lucas Questions Did you ever even think about betraying your alliance? No. From a personal standpoint, I had made friends with Jem and Enma, and I know that I, personally, wouldn't feel good about backstabbing them, even if it is just a game. From a gameplay standpoint, it would have been suicide. Jem was the only person who reached out to me. If I had defected to help you, Stalker, and Zone, for instance, I would have been at the bottom of the ladder. @acetryhards Questions What reward round/immunity challenge was your favorite I liked the individual immunity challenge where we had to earn the entire alphabet! I thought it took a lot of strategy and time management as opposed to just brute force trophy hunting, which was a nice change of pace! As for rewards, my favorite part of the TV show is always the Survivor auction, so I have to go with that! Tomorrow is set for the final 3 to give their final speeches as to why they should be crowned the winner and then we'll move right into the votes. Have a good night
Couch
Day 6 - speeches This is it. The last chance the three finalists have to give the reason why they should be crowned the winner. Jem has sent his speech in ahead of time. That just leaves @Enma8910 and @GlennRhee to do the same. @jem12345final speech: "So, this is it. I still can't believe I made it this far. I was just aiming for jury vote at the start, but about a month in, there was a huge fight on the PSNP Anime Club Discord Server (which most of you were there for) which was basically everyone saying I would never ever win an event that wasn't my own. I'm used to abuse like that, but that night, I was pushed too far. Something snapped inside me, and I focused all of my energy on Survivor. I made allies with the people no one would reach out to, spent hours figuring out idol clues, manipulating kent to my advantage, and finding every loophole Couch clumsily left behind. I know a lot of you hate me (or at the very least hate my tactics), but before you decide that I don't deserve to win, look at the facts. Every week was a struggle. I had to plan around allies defecting, as well as challenges that no one in my alliance was really suited for. Yes, Katie and Enma won us immunity their fair share of times, but it wouldn't have been possible without my help. Enma won the 48-hour challenge because I won the reward. Katie won the uncommon challenge (and our first idol) because I made an elaborate plan for her and boosted with her. The list goes on. But the most convincing evidence at all should be my most recent performance against zone. While I was on vacation, neither Katie nor Enma were able to defeat Zone. I come home and immediately overpower the competition. My strength, intellect, and cunning are all incomparable. Love me or hate me, please vote for the person who deserves it the most. Like I said in my Q&A, we're splitting the money. I'm not trying to win for the money at all. I'm fighting for respect and recognition as a prominent trophy hunter. I didn't have the heart to vote off either of my newfound friends, but I can guarantee you that I want this win more than either of them. Whether that makes a difference in your vote is up to you." Popular Post GlennRhee
Hey guys! Couch said I could post this directly in the thread, so here goes. I guess I'm what you'd call a superfan of Survivor, so when I saw a thread mentioning it on the front page, I clicked on it assuming people were talking about the most recent season. I'm a really shy person in general, so when I saw it was an event, I waffled back and forth between joining or not. But I was just getting out of a really bad situation, and I joined with three goals in mind: the first was to push myself to earn as many trophies as possible over the summer. The second was to make the merge. The third, and probably the most important to me, was to meet new people. It's dumb to say out loud, but I think that participating in Survivor helped me grow as a person. I started the game with absolutely no confidence in myself, but I managed to win individual immunity. Most importantly, though, I made new friends, and it was a reminder that the people who had been dragging me down prior to the game weren't going to have a hold on me forever. I had fun playing, and I'm proud of the game I played and the bonds I formed. My goal was always to do my own personal best, and I think I achieved that. I mean, during the uncommon challenge, I outscored the entire opposing team combined! I never, in a million years, would have thought I was capable of something like that. Whether you vote for me to win or not, I'm happy with the outcome, and I hope there's no hard feelings no matter what happens.
Popular Post Enma8910
Hi All, my piece is more on to thank everyone. When I joined the event, my objective was simply to earn trophies and to survive the event as much as I can. I am glad and proud the way I have played the game as I have made it this far without much conflict or gap against other contestants and was able to meet and made friends with some of them. I understand that the event is supposed to be played with manipulation and lies but I was not comfortable with that approach and glad it stayed that way until now. Most of the reason for reaching this far is also largely due to my team which I am also fortunate to have met in this event. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the admins that made this event possible and interesting every week. And last but not the least, to thank midnightCJ and kira as I wouldn't even be a part of the game if they didn't back out earlier. I am looking forward to season 2 to meet more people and to compete in new challenges. Edited August 22, 2017 by Enma8910
Couch
Alright jury. You've heard their answers and speeches. It's time to vote. @Kent10201 @xZoneHunter @Fredoline05 @MStalker58 @Lucas @acetryhard And remember, you're voting for who you want to win Edited August 22, 2017 by Couch
Popular Post Alpsmile05
So it's time to vote for the winner, let me give my oppinion about our 3 finalists before I get to my vote Jem: Jem basically controled the game from start to finish, and did a great job doing so (ok he might have been lucky a couple of times, but in order to go far in an event like this luck is a factor you need on your side so that can also be told for the other finalists. Jem started (with Kent as his side-kick) the initial alliance of 10 and even after that always managed to be on the side who had the numbers over the others, that's quite an achievement. The downside for Jem is his arrogance and telling lies to about everyone. He never hesitated in bringing someone down and not always in a friendly way. He even said so himself in his answers to the questions earlier this week, I thought for a second he had seen the light, but then in his speech he went for it again: ' Yes, Katie and Enma won us immunity their fair share of times, but it wouldn't have been possible without my help.' or 'I come home and immediately overpower the competition. My strength, intellect, and cunning are all incomparable.' I mean: are you for real? A bit of modesty is in his place here Jem, maybe they couldn't have done it without your help, but neither could you without theirs! And you overpowered Zone? You won 344-338, a close win! Glennrhee: Or as we know her: Katie. Katie has been in Jem's alliance from the beginning and always showed loyalty to Jem. When I came with the plan of going to final 3 with her and Ace she went directly to Jem to warn him about it. If it wasn't for Jem's arrogance I would probably never have known but so be it. Katie prooved herself a worthy opponent in the challenges from the beginning on and definately deserves her place in the final. The downside for Katie in my opinion is that she never doubted Jem's plan and never tried to do something of her own. She got this far just joining the ride and I feel she missed out on an even greater adventure that way. Enma: And then there's Enma. I haven't had much contact with enma. Basically that's because Enma wasn't part of the initial 10 and when joining the alliance I went out of it. Also timezones didn't help. When Enma woke up I just said goodnight and went of to sleep. But nevertheless Enma didn't get the place in the final on a silver plate. Not being part of the initial alliance it almost took a miracle to reach the merge, we picked them off 1 by 1 before that, and only Enma survived. After that he chose Jem's side and went on all the way to the final 3 with one impressive achievement coming to mind, how did you get so many trophies without missing an hour?. So my vote goes to Enma, the one I feel lived the experience of survivor the most. Surviving from a lost position at the start untill the final 3, nice job! I hope it's ok that I wrote a bit about our 3 finalists and didn't just post: 'I vote Enma'

I'd rather people give reasoning honestly. For the most part, you have us pegged pretty well. Yeah, my speech could've been better. I'm thankful for Katie and Enma for everything they've done for me, but highlighting their achievements would've just given everyone more reasons not to vote for me. I wasn't going to win a popularity contest, so my only option left was to highlight my strengths. It was a gamble (apparently a bad one).
Popular Post Couch
Finale day Typically before the votes are read there is a questionnaire and funny moments and behind the scenes are shown. That’s a little hard to do that here so a few weeks ago I sent out a questionnaire. As folks were eliminated it was sent to them. It contained questions like “what was your favorite moment”, “who do you think will make it to the final 2 and why”, “any regrets” and so on. A few of you answered those questions for us so thank you. Some of the responses I thought that we’re noteworthy: @xZoneHunter Do you have a favorite moment on the event? “Not really, most of the immunity events were fun/challenging on their own. Those were probably the most fun aspect of the event.” Any regrets? “I should've spent more $$ on trash games” @Kent10201 Do you have a favorite moment on the event? “When I was able to gather the votes to eliminate Jem despite him using an idol and eliminating me instead. A close second would be spending a week making Matt beloved I was aligned with him only to stab him in the back.” Anything you want the “fans” of the event to know about you? “I never fed Jem info given to me before or after I was eliminated. At the beginning there was a time where we worked together, however that was before I was realized I would get backstabbed almost immediately due to being shut out from his alliance. I don't know where the misconception that I told him everything came from but I can only give my word in saying I didn't.” Care to wager who you think will make it to the final 2 and win and why? “Well the final two question is void now, however if Jem doesn't win it will be purely based off of a spiteful jury. He outplayed, outwitted and outlasted all of us except the ones he kept close and if he's denied the win because of people's personal feelings towards him I'd be disappointed as a fan of both the show and the event hosted here on PSNP.” @MStalker58 Do you have a favorite moment on the event? “Probably the UR challenge. Ended up losing in a tiebreaker but it was a good match and probably the most fun I had with a challenge in the event.” Any regrets? 1. “Wasting an idol so early in the game. Dumb mistake but paranoia got the best of me after seeing what happened to Walt a couple weeks earlier when he had an idol. ” 2. “Not pushing hard enough against Kent's suggestion of list/order for picks in the team split. Had a gut feeling that something was up and it would come back to haunt us but I didn't want to stir up drama in case I was wrong.” 3. “Our alliance not doing a 3-1 vote split during the week that Jem didn't use an idol. Wish I would have trusted Kent at this time but it was hard to trust after the previous few weeks so we decided to play it safe and figured that Jem would use an idol. Blew our best chance to vote him out. ” @the_name_is_matt Anything you want the “fans” of the event to know about you? “I hope to participate in the next season and plan to do things different and last a lot longer” Any regrets? “That I took too long to make an alliance and that I trusted a certain person when I knew I shouldn’t have.” Care to wager who you think will make it to the final 2 and win and why? “I have a feeling Jem will make it to the finals. He played and outstanding game and I think a lot of players underestimated him. And I believe enma will be at his side because he played an idol on Jem showing his loyalty to jem, however it was my goal to get jem out early in the game as I knew what kind of threat he posed and it didn’t work out. Members of my alliance didn’t trust everything I said and went and made everything I said public to the other alliances and it backfired on them so… I would have to say I think jem will actually win the event. He managed to outplay outwit and overcome every tribal vote against him @acetryhard “My favorite moment was when I first got into the big alliance and realized I had a group to rely on and I wasn't playing this game alone” “I regret taking a break from the game because it cost me my defeat because I was a very important person to both sides and angered everyone who was left in the competition” “Jem and katie will make it to the final 2 and jem will win because they have an alliance to make it and jem has poured so much time and research into this game and has every little aspect of the competition planned out he didn't come this far to lose” @Fredoline05 Do you have a favorite moment on the event? “The moment Jem got out (what he isn't out yet?), hmmm ok then, it's hard to say there were many nice moments, the one I enjoyed the most was the plotting to get Jem out when I changed sides, unfortunately it failed but still it was a great moment plotting all that.” Anything you want the “fans” of the event to know about you? “This was probably the first time you guys heard of me but it won't be the last. More of Couch's events will come and I'm even preparing some events I will organize myself, being part of this one inspired me.” Any regrets? “Absolutely not. I could have gone further if I just followed Jem's plan but I felt I missed out on the game by just following Jem and I was right, switching sides made the game interesting again. The only regret I might have is to have failed of getting Jem out but then again with all the protection he had (how many idols did he have?) it was nearly impossible to get him out.” Have you been watching since you left the event? (My personal favorite with the “I left the event a couple minutes ago”) “I left the event a couple minutes ago, but yes I have been watching and will continue to follow it until the very end where I hope my legacy can still play its roll.” How did you feel when you were voted off? “It wasn't at all a surprise so I had already accepted my faith before it happened. I've got no hard feelings towards anyone about whatever happened this event.” Thanks to those that answered the questionnaire. Now before I read the votes and we end this, I want to thank everyone that joined and helped get us to this point. This was the first event I believe of this kind and I think it was an overall success. I want to also thank Andrea and Psy. Andrea and Psy both kept me in check throughout this entire ordeal. And I was able to vent and wine anytime another “loophole” was uncovered. And just an extra special thanks to Andrea. Without her, this would’ve been crazy. She was amazing and was a huge contributor to having things run smoothly as well as come up with new challenges and running events like the Auction as well as posting when I was unable to and staying up all night counting points when needed. I will contact the winners and Jury privately to figure out prizes this week. I started the process with a few of you last night. Now to find out who won this whole ordeal! Remember, you want to see your name this time Vote 1 – Jem Vote 2 – Enma Vote 3 – Jem Vote 4 – Enma Vote 5 - Enma Vote 6 - Enma The winner of Survivor PSNP edition is @Enma8910. After 12 weeks, multiple reward and immunity challenges, surviving double eliminations, making it to the merge, you have become THE SOLE SURVIVOR. Well done. @jem12345 takes the runner up position with 2 votes @GlennRhee finishes third We'll done everyone. Alpsmile05
Hmmm, my answers on those questions sure make it seem like I have a problem with Jem, just to be clear: I haven't. Maybe that was my reaction in the heat of the moment or something like that but actually I get along with Jem just fine (just wanted to point that out) Also: congrats Enma, you trully deserve it!
jemmie
So, this is how it ends. I can't say I'm too surprised. Congrats @Enma8910 on a well-deserved win! Thank you to the few people who supported me, whether in the jury or not. As for the rest of you, I hope there are no hard feelings. My competitiveness makes be a bit crazy at times. Thanks @Couch for running such a hectic event. It may not have been perfect, but it was a lot of fun. Also, thanks @Andrea for keeping this event stable when Couch wasn't around. It was obvious that you did a great deal over the course of the season, and it was greatly appreciated. You haven't seen the last of me, but when I come back, it will not be as a villain, but as a friend. Whether you want to believe that or not is up to you.

Popular Post Andrea
Congrats to Enma on a well deserved win. Jem played a great game in every aspect but one - his jury management was incredibly poor. On the other hand, Enma managed to go from the intended 2nd player voted off (being saved only by a blindside of Walt with idol in pocket - if Walt played that idol Enma finished 15th,) to winning the whole damn thing. There's no better embodiment of a Survivor story than that. Along the way they found a strong and cohesive alliance, and played a strong under-the-radar game while letting Jem take all the heat (and all the risks.) If I had to pick a real life Survivor whose game this most closely matches, I'd go with Natalie White from Survivor: Samoa. She let the infamous Russel Hantz play the villain all season, then won in a jury vote because he had alienated so many fellow contestants. It was cool to see that parallel play out, though in general I feel there was a lot of passive gameplay - people sticking doggedly to their alliances to the very end (for better and worse,) not a lot of risks from most people. In that regard it was much closer to an earlier season of Survivor than the more chaotic games we see today. Regardless, it was a enjoyable ride with a couple intense challenges and votes. It's worth noting that Jem actually did miss out on one critical potential game-changer: if he had possession of the jury swap from the auction, he could've brought it to a 3-3 split by changing one of the votes against him to one in his support. It would've then come down to @GlennRhee to cast the tiebreaker. Would be very interested to know how that would've changed the winner This has been a wild event and it's very bittersweet to see it end. There's definitely been a lot to learn from an plenty of changes to look forward to in both Big Brother and Survivor Season 2. Still some discussion to be had regarding the details (and if you haven't already please provide feedback to help improve that process) but I feel good about it going forward. It was a groundbreaking event in the history of the forums and many thanks to the participants who made it what it was. As promised, the voting and event history spreadsheet has been finished. A couple quick notes about it: I counted people as winners of an idol/reward/immunity even if they were gifted any of those things. It made it easier to keep track of, and besides I think the real winner of something like that is the one who actually gets to make use of it. I also didn't include some of the things that would've been harder to track, like Zone's half-reward in the final few weeks of the season. Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions Now to tag all the people who were in the event so they can see the spreadsheet: @Lucas@HcG Clawz@spazza136@Wdog-999@Kent10201@Enma8910@jem12345@MStalker58@Tearraven@Fredoline05@the_name_is_matt@EpicNogg4@acetryhard@xZoneHunter@TwitchReflex
spazza136
Congratulations Enma on the win, honestly wasn't expecting you to do it. Definitely underestimated you, thought you were a random that didn't know what was going on or how to play when the game started but you played the quiet underdog role very well. Thank You for being the only one that didn't vote for me the week I was voted out, I knew it was coming but seeing that you went against the grain anyway means a lot. Nothing against Jem but I'm very happy to see him lose after all the trash talk and cringe-posts that went on those first weeks. As for the Kent/Matt thing, I knew Kent was untrustworthy from the get-go but Matt was determined to have him on board. It may not have been a good choice of judgement but I respect Matt's positive attitude throughout those first weeks despite there always being the obvious intention to eliminate C3 members first. Thanks to Mark for hosting, I hope you learnt a few things from this event and make more exciting events for everyone. I may or may not be a part of them but I will be watching time to time.
