Trophy Guide seems a bit off.

I'm not saying that it's right that he was flagged, hence why I disagree with it. But I don't agree how he reacted to the situation. 

 

Are you saying that going into your guides and ripping them apart is an appropriate response for possibly being wrongfully flagged? The non-childish (I'm guessing that's what bugging you about my initial post) thing to do was to PM BlindMango and request the guide to be removed. That's what I would of done if I was in his shoes.

It's not the fact he removed it. It's HOW he did it. We can agree to disagree on whether that was the right way of removing the guide or whether it was the best way to handle the situation.

No matter what your opinion is on ZOLANTON removing his guides from this site, it's well within his rights to do so. People should respect that. I don't think the guides should be republished without his consent. That would be way more of a "dick move" than what ZOLANTON ever did.

@ZOLANTON Nobody thinks you're a hacker. A lot of people used this one save to earn the trophy EA had made unobtainable so out of nowhere. They had not met their side of the bargain, there was no reason the interactive leagues would end so soon on PS3, while it still went on over at the Xbox side. Even when it was obtainable it was glitchy, so people may have been screwed out of it and felt they deserved it. You may have done so too. Just EA fucking things up, screwing up your trophy list. And this was when trophies were new. People weren't too used to trophies becoming unobtainable, especially not in such a way. You know people did this stuff with other online games too. You even point this out in your dispute thread. I think we all totally get it. Many did it to protest EA. Some thought it was the legitimate way to get it, that the save came from EA etc.

 

The fact is however that we all know you didn't just wait 6 months after it became unavailable before all of a sudden getting it. You played the game in late July 2009, hadn't even gotten many (any?) of the online trophies then. You return a year later to first get 50 hours trophy, then the real world winner and then some online trophies. You likely used that one save. There's little denying this. And this is what all the evidence shows, that nobody got the trophy without CFW (totally messed up trophy lists) for 6 months until the save was made available.

 

Taking this into consideration. Don't be mad at everyone else for what you did. Few here thinks you didn't, so you won't get that much support for that position. You also reacted like many others, worrying about what everyone else did, other games, use other unrelated arguments etc, nothing about how you may have gotten the trophy legit, which was what the dispute thread was about. Nobody was going after you. One person went for flagging everyone who got the trophy 6 months after it had become unavailable. There's even spreadsheets of this. Don't think dispute threads hasn't ended in flags being lifted. I would hate for someone innocent to get harmed here, but a lot of the time it's pretty clear someone has used a save or something.

 

Why would we go after people who has cheated trophies? Well, this community is all about earning trophies. Why would we want the site filled with trophy lists and people who isn't earning trophies legitimate. I know there are certain big people in the trophy community, especially of other sites, who talk about PSNP as a safe haven for cheaters. Why would we want that?

 

Just hide the one game you earned a trophy illegitimate from. We don't want those lists up on the site. There's nothing more to it. You got a 3 strike rule just for this purpose. It doesn't mean you're a cheater. I doubt you usually cheat.

Depends on what terms he agreed to when he published the guide.

 

And ZOLATON, remember what I did when I left PST org? I didn't remove my guides. Remember? Even if I thought they acted like total douches when banning me from that site.

Sure, but what I'm saying is that regardless of whether or not Sly is allowed to republish them or not, ZOLATON's wishes should be respected. That would be a pretty shitty way to treat people who create guides for your site otherwise.

As BlindMango has mentioned, the guides are going to be re-uploaded. And that is ok by me, if the site has decided that. But if any thinks that they can do a better guide in any of these games, then please work on it.

Because ZOLANTON gave the approval for the site to publish the guides again. It still shows that it was written by ZOLANTON.
