Got started with a couple of the non-plats. Got Homerunner after 13+ tries. (Never gonna play this game again after I get all the trophies) and tried to get Minimalist for The Unfinished Swan but my constant falling off the woodwalk in the garden and accidentally hitting the paintball(I didn't realize that the touch pad causes a paintball to fire! ) got my into the Rage Zone so I decided to start over at a later date. I will keep trying each day until either (a) the trophy is mine or (b) the event reaches crunch time, whereas I'll just get the rest of the trophies and give up the game as impossible to get 100% in.

 

I then just ran through my other goals and called it a day: Getting the first trophies in re:Chain of Memories, Dream Drop Distance HD and Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Since I have 92 days in the event, I have plenty of time to tackle the f'k-the-wall-crazy trophies (like fighting super-bosses) and do the other games. My goals for today were:

 

1. Birth by Sleep Final Mix: Did the tutorial, started the Terra Critical run, did Orbs, and saved the game.
2. re:Chain of Memories: Started the game on Proud mode, went through the unskippable tutorials, smashed a Shadow in the face with a barrel, edited the deck 500 times, and then nearly killed Sora to heal him. Saved after that.
3. Dream Drop Distance HD: Set the mode to Proud; Went through the tutorial, created the Meowow and two other Dream Eaters after farming some droplets and materials, then looted all the chests and did some toy games to get minigame trophies. Saved the game after that.

Tomorrow will be Dark Cloud and the other two platinums.

 

I should have put more Vita games on the list as I will be away from my PS4 for most of Saturday due to me helping my daddy sell peanutless brittle at the local festival from 9 to 4. But if we profit, I'll get 10% of the cut and that means more game money!

 

Ninja Edit  Since I was working on Dream Drop Distance HD and was in the neighborhood, I decided "What the hell?" and started working on Kingdom Hearts 0.2 as well. Managed to get six trophies nicely.

Finished Chambara last night. My only question is....why is this a game? I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought this. It was super cheap in a sale and saw a couple of screenshots of the game. Thought the style looked interesting. Knew nothing of the story or gameplay. However, there is no story and nothing really to do except play a two player game where you kill each other. I know some games have weak stories, but this literally had no story, not even a couple lines of texts as to why I was a samurai ninja (one of the two) chicken silhouette and why I kept being dropped in various thunderdomes with a different shaded color samurai ninja chicken silhouette and why I wanted them dead. The game took like an hour and a half, because of one trophy I just couldn't get the timing down, otherwise, it would have been about 45 minutes to 100%. Unless you really need 11 trophies I would urge you to stay away from this game.

That's how it was with me. Good luck on that. Doubt I will rent Criminal Girls again, if ever. The enemy strength becomes insane after the second floor.

My progress in the first 2 days has consisted of finishing the first episode of Life is Strange. So far, I really like it, especially the atmosphere and the soundtrack. I have a pretty open week next week though so I expect to start making more progress then.

Only added three games today. Forgot about the Deadly Tower game, oops! (I can probably bang out a few trophs on it tomorrow after I come back from selling brittle candy.) Also didn't do any non-plats. But I did get a few trophies on Book of Ice and Adventure Time and managed to get 9/28 of the trophies on Dark Cloud thanks to the Broken Dagger Glitch. I would do some more but I just got Dragon Quest Builders from GameFly and $10 to buy a game card so I can get Engimatis 2 downloaded so I am working on those to get two more platinums this month. Cheers!

Managed to get skylanders to the point where I just need to beat it on nightmare difficulty and complete a few challenges, but need some more vehicles in order to do that so will have to put it on hold till I can buy some more. Plus there's only so much skylanders I can take in one go so the break will be good.

 

Have started work on sherlock in the mean time and I must say its a pretty interesting game, i'm loving it so far. Hopefully will be able to get 2 cases out of the way tomorrow as i'm trying to give myself as much time as possible to get through both dishonored and bioshock when I start them.

I'm really not liking Invizimals y'all

 

It's like they ripped off of Donkey Kong 64, Jak & Daxter and Skylanders but didn't know what to do with the parts, or how to code a game. Collect-a-thon without purpose, explosion damage area larger and lasting longer than the explosion visuals, bad climbing gameplay (too slow, character can jump insanely far only in between two different vines), annoying kid protagonist, annoying condescending voices...

 

I don't know if I can keep playing this game to completion.

Edit: sorry,not a collect-a-thon without purpose (it was very late when I wrote this). The purpose is upgrades. I meant collectables for the sake of having collectables.

 

Donkey Kong 64 started the trend of having a lot of collectables, many games followed but many don't really know what makes a fun collect-a-thon. I really liked Donkey Kong 64 and I will gladly go for 101% when it releases on Switch again but I don't like a lot of the games it inspired.

In Neptunia U I'm going through the quests in chapter 2 now as I finished chapter 1 yesterday. I'm already halfway by trophy count (18/35) but they're all bronzes, so only 25% done.

Haven't started anything on the consoles yet, but I'll get to that this weekend.

Infamous: Festival of Blood is pretty good so far, though it feels a bit silly to me due to the whole vampire deal. I'm looking forward to seeing the game 100%ed. Lego Marvel Avengers so far seems to be a mash up of the first Avengers movie and Age of Ultron. I liked Lego Marvel Superheroes so I don't see me not enjoying this entry but time will tell. I plan on finishing up inFamous first and then working through Lego Marvel Avengers and Alice: Madness Returns DLC since it is suppose to be the game before this one that was on PC. The rest is up in the air for how I'll proceed.
