RNumbers
Eve Valkyrie was discussed, I believe Gunjack is new. Too bad, but it sounded hard as shit anyway.

Correct. Both shutdowns were announced on the same day but Gunjack slipped through the cracks so we didn't find out about it until today . Edited July 24, 2022 by HuntingFever Fixed typo. This happened with HyperScape already. They abandon their games as soon as they realize it's not going to be "their Fortnite", and they pull the plug shortly after. Delayes and developmental issues aside, they wanted this game to be "their Rocket League" but I played it once on release and it wasn't as fun. This was because in Rocket League, even if you suck, you still get to touch the ball several times per match. In this game though, "you relied on your teammate passing you the ball". This made the game more similar to 3on3 Basketball (another free to play game) than Rocket League. In that game, whoever starts with the ball will try to move around and try to shoot to the net or pass it to somebody better positioned. And it's always the former lol. Sure, you can steal it in the opponent's turn, but that is not as common in a game like that as is in Rocket League where you essentially are hitting the ball instead or carrying it. 3on3 Basketball gets constant updates from time to time and has been around for years. Right now, pstimetracker tells me that there are almost twice the players in Roller Champions than they are in 3on3 Basketball. So, Roller Champions are obviously giving them some profit and could easily sustain itself like Darwin Project, Switchblade and many other free to play games around. But I think Ubisoft doesn't care about "some profit", they are looking for a new fortnite that will make them filthy rich. So, from their point of view those devs are better used on a new game where they can try again to hit the jackpot. It really sucks for the communitiy that really enjoys those games. In every game you have the "hardcores" that play that game mostly. I can still find people on games like Switchblade and Fantasy Strike and those games are nearly dead. But with Ubisoft online games, you better not get too attached. Because they don't last long. That's why I said, don't invest your time in their online games. If it is not the next fortnite they will kill it in record time, and if it is the next fortnite, well you will have a lot of time to play it because they are going ot milk that game for several years anyway.
Lord_Bane999
Possible update on the GameSparks multi-server closure. Apparently the devs of Disc Jam were just notified of the server closure by GameSparks? Anyways seems strange they didn't know of this previously when the main announcement was out.
Popular Post HuntingFever
As a reminder, here's the full list of everything that will be affected by the Game Sparks closure if the devs don't source new servers from somewhere: Disc Jam Animal Super Squad Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Ultimate Chicken Horse Strikers Edge Mini Metro Catan - This was delisted years ago but I don't know if the servers are even still up. Chime Sharp - This only has leaderboards so shouldn't be negatively affected. 7 Days to Die Of these, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr has gotten new servers so will survive but the other games are all pretty old at this point and haven't been patched in ages so have little to no chance of staying online . 7 Days to Die is P2P on the PS4 but there's a chance it uses Game Sparks in some way to handle the matchmaking. The 4 trophies that require the killing of other players (though the NA version can be downgraded to a lower version with an exploit) EDIT - just looked at the guide and the kills are possible in split screen using explosives, but damn that would take ages. Mr_Tenno777
It's nearing a month left before the affected Ubisoft games lose online, so if have been looking to jump in to them and do the online trophies, best you do them before it's too late for you.

Popular Post Needles
Some additional info: Clever Endeavour Games says Ultimate Chicken Horse will not be affected by the Gamesparks server closure. It seems they are migrating their online service to a new system: Also, Fun Punch Games confirmed that Strikers Edge will be shutting down on September 30: Last thing: why is AC Liberation for PS Vita on the list as a confirmed shutdown? I understand wanting to bring awareness to it just in case, but Ubisoft only lists the PC version as shutting down. Boni_Neto
Seems like IoI gave up on closing Hitman 2 servers. People are still getting the online trophies to this day. They announced back in 2020 that they were planning to shut it down in the beginning of 2021.
