Update on The Outbound Ghost, currently it's removed for sale from Steam as the Developer hijacked the store page and changed a bunch of stuff to rage out against their Publisher Digerati. (It's sounded like during this they were the one who removed it.) There's word the Dev is also trying to get it removed from console shops too.

 

 

Digerati though seem to be possibly moving into lawsuit territory as it seems the Dev is illegally tampering and breaking their contract (Digerati was suppose to have control over selling and distribution rights.). After already receiving money from them and before then Kickstarter supporters.

 

 

The whole thing seems to have started over some sort of internal argument and the game being released to consoles buggy. Dev wanting more time, pub probably pushing for release date. Honestly too much bs for one post going in this.

 

 

Games on sale currently on PSN for 20% off and it seems despite the bugs it can Platted in both versions. Also there's one version for sale and it's not mentioned on the page but it is a crossbuy for PS4/PS5.

Another Update.

 

So it seems The Outbound Ghost did get a physical release as well under publisher Merge Games for NA and EU while Digerati handles the digital side. Merge Games confirmed a couple days ago that the PS4 and PS5 versions have received an update patching them a couple days ago while the Switch patch is still waiting for approval.

 

Also just to warn anyone buying the physical versions the physical versions are only each a PS4 or a PS5 version. There is no free PS5 upgrade available for just buying the PS4 version. So it's still much cheaper (like half the cost of one of them) to buy the digital PSN version and get the crossbuy.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Card Warriors mode will be shutdown.

It seems that it was added later in the game life-cycle, so it probably shouldn't affect any trophies, can anyone who platted confirm?

dragonball z kakarot doesn't seem to have any DLC trophy's tied to it or have any card trophy's tied to the base game so i'm 99.9% sure nothing will change other than the card warriors mode.

Big Update on the situation, with The Outbound Ghost. I'm gonna keep this all in a spoiler so everyone does have to read a large post if it doesn't interest them.

 

 

As noted from Digerati, they confirmed Valve themselves were the ones who pulled The Outbound Ghost from Steam. Wether this was at Conrad the Developer's request or not is yet to be determined. They did mention though they were able to intervene and the PS4/PS5 and Switch versions should not be taken down or delisted as of this moment.

PS4/PS5 should have a new patch already up fixing alot of bugs. (It was approved last week.) A Switch patch is also waiting for approval but they mentioned it may be another week.

Now for the real ugly stuff, while Digerati is gung-ho about keeping The Outbound Ghost up on all platforms. They have officially started a lawsuit against Conrad for Breach of Contract. (Not necessarily limited too but including, refusing to work to fix bugs, vandalizing the Steam Page, disparaging the game and publisher to stop sales.)

In this lawsuit they are currently not asking for any monetary compensation from him. But only that he adheres to the contract and fulfill his obligations under it. (Which at this point is just working on bug fixes and fulfilling any remaining Kickstarter promises.) Merge Games the physical publisher hasn't acted or spoke on this yet themselves beside just commenting they understand on the status of the game and are trying as well to help get patches out fast for all consoles as well.

The Beatles Rock Band had a million points trophy that needs 3 or 4 players, it will get harder to find local players after the shutdown.

 

Does anybody know if Unreal Tournament 3 will be affected? Does it depend on Epic servers for something else or Gonespy will still be enough?

Both of these have unobtainable trophies regardless, so they're already impossible for someone starting now.

GoneSpy is enough, because GameSpy ran the entirety of the online for UT so when that closed, all the online stuff went with it but a combination of LAN mode and GoneSpy will get you the Plat.

They're idiots. Shutting down and delisting the old Unreal Tournament games on PC... they reached legendary status ages ago, especially UT99.

Rock Band 2 and Rock Band Blitz are both UnPlatinumable. Rock Band 2 because a key mode was disabled a year or two back and Rock Band Blitz was unofficially shutdown earlier this year.

Btw just a warning to anyone looking to do the Rockband games before shutdown. Just know that a few of the trophies involving scores or hits specifically in those lists usually require the help of other people playing. Especially if you aren't an expert player in the series and ideally you would really want them to be local split-screen.

A friend gifted me UT GOTY on steam just over two weeks ago, it still has a bunch of active games at any time and has been a ton of fun. Really weird to just randomly say nope to an actively played game.

The only ones that are unobtainable are Rock Band 2 and possibly Rock Band Blitz; I don't remember if Blitz had online trophies, but it was delisted quite a while ago so most people won't even get a shot at it. Rock Band 1 doesn't have a trophy list, so no worries there.

 

The other Rock Band platinums are still obtainable and always will be since they have no online-only trophies, but after their servers shut down their co-op trophies will be much less convenient to earn since you will have to do them locally; this means you will likely need all 4 instruments--a microphone, drums, 2 guitars--and 2-3 friends you know in-person who are relatively good at Rock Band.

 

The servers for Green Day Rock Band actually went down a good while ago, so the co-op trophies for that one already have to be done locally.
