Lego Marvel SuperHeroes 2 announced

Recommended Posts

Sad to see the negativity, I fucking loved the first one, thought the second was a giant disappointment considering the worse controls, swapped out characters, straight up copied from the movies audio and word for word dialogue, and the fact the plot of the whole thing was just basically a Lego version of the phase 1 and 2 movies but too late for me to care.

Also, I always thought Avengers was in effect Lego Marvel 2, and since it's not, that makes me happy. Because Avengers was a disappointment compared to Lego Marvel 1 and I'd be down for a proper sequel that isn't just a lazy movie game. As long as Spidey, the X-Men and the F4 are in it, I'm happy. I'd say it would be safe to assume all the movie characters will be in it again, too. Hopefully Ghost Rider will return w/ the Hell Cycle this time round. Unless it was in the original and I missed it, in which case, shame on me.

Fuck it, I hope Lego Marvel 2's whole plot is just Spider-Man 4 but with a bunch of guest stars.

Agreed, the first game told a story combining the Avengers, Spiderman, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. Marvel's Avengers was a rehash of the MCU movies, which wasn't bad, but only gave a small cross-section of the Marvel universe. Super Heroes was one of the few LEGO games I played to 100% completion on PS3 and PS4, and it was worth it.

I'm excited for the second one.

Personally both me and my little brother had an absolute blast with the first Lego marvel superheroes game. Especially the open world where he would drive around in loads of cars whilst I cleaned up the side missions and collectables :)

Hoping this game will be as fun for both of us :)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is, so far, the only Lego game I've ever played. Absolutely enjoyed it and wanted to get back into another one for a long time (I've been thinking about Lego: Jurassic World). Unfortunately, a new game keeps on coming out that I really want and puts me off buying my next Lego game. Once I clear my backlog a bit I might go out and buy a ton of Lego games. Maybe once this game comes out.

Just heard about this, and just began the first game last week.  Playing as essentially the entire Marvel universe is a hoot, and exploring NY city is fun, but poor controls and frustrating AI have me wishing for a quick completion.  Not the tightest LEGO game, so I'll wait and see if the flaws are fixed in its sequel is greeted before buying.

The first LEGO Marvel Superheroes was the first game I achieved a platinum trophy on and I'm currently well on my way to achieving a platinum on LEGO Marvel Avengers. Just got the main Manhattan HUB to complete.

I'll definitely be buying this!

I thought the hub of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes was the best of any LEGO game.

I just played the main stuff of LEGO Marvel's Avengers and I did not really like it. Super Heroes went on for too long but was original and fun, Avengers was droning on after the MCU which I already know by heart anyway.

Looks like you're gonna add another MARVEL Platinum in your collection :).
