List of "doable" Games with Ultra Rare trophies

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm wondering if it exists a list with the games with "ultra rare" trophies which are doable.

Let me explain, on my profile, I have 3 games with ultra rare trophies and the reasons of their rarities are very different :

  • Everybody Golf (Vita) : you need to be a golf lover and dedicated to the game to obtain the platinum.  The trophy guide says 9/10, but as I love golf games, I didn't find it so difficult. But it's a personal opinion as I really found in love with this game. If someone finds ultra rare trophies, this game can't be advised if he doesn't like golf games.

  • Fifa 13 (Vita) : the rarity of the platinum comes from the online bugged trophy Hundred and counting (I counted the number of matches, and the trophy popped after 166 matches...). The trophy guide says 4/10, and if you find a boost partner, the ultra rare platinum is easy to obtain, but quite long.

  • Worms Revolution Extreme (Vita) : the rarity of the platinum comes from the quality of the game. The portage is no good : slowdown, AI very long to decide what to do,AI sometimes unable to do something and next turn it uses an incredible shot...  There is no trophy guide, but, this was quite easy. If you can bother with the defaults of the game, it is a "doable" game with ultra rare trophies.

So, what is your opinion about your ultra rare trophies ?

Strike Suit Zero, once you wrap your head around the fact that the right stick is the main movement stick.

How To Survive: Storm Warning Edition is not at all hard either.

flOw on PS4 has ultra-rare trophies, and is about as difficult as Flower or Journey are, which is not at all.

Knytt Underground is not difficult either once you have a good video walkthrough. If you can manage Sound Shapes Death Mode, you have the ability to manage the Falu Kohe challenges, which are the most difficult part of the game.

- Transformers Devastation

- The Last Guardian

My opinions on my UR trophies is that they are pretty challenging and that sometimes I do look for lists with low % completion to give myself a fair challenge. Most of the time, the % does reflect truly how challenging a game is.

Earth defence force games have easy ultra rare trophies. Some sports games.

Oh they are definitely easy (if you've done an insane amount of grinding), but I'm sure you know that finishing that game on every difficulty with every class can take upwards of 300-400 hours. That is 'doable' but beyond the patience of a majority of people who will pick it up, and definitely beyond the patience of someone who is looking for a 'doable' UR plat haha.

Sonic & SEGA All Star Racing Transformed is doable

It has 2 online trophies that aren't difficult at all, "Manually select a Random character for a Matchmaking game" and "Win a Matchmaking game" which can be boosted in 3m.

The hard part is Yokozuna - Beat all the Staff Ghosts in Time Attack. - This trophy is a pain if the butt... You need to know every shortcut and meter of the tracks in order to beat them all, but doable with a lot of training and patient.

Also, there's a trophy that requires 4 controllers, where all 4 players must finish, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

If you can find another player, Magicka 2 just hands them out. Bit tough to do solo.

Injustice - Wouldn't put this on the list because of battle mode but this game has lots of ultra rare trophies that aren't really difficult.

We recently got Lumo which has a lot of UR's but I'm not sure on the difficulty. Check the past PS Plus games we've had. Since it's free for everyone it usually has quite a few UR trophies lying around if the game is just above average in difficulty.

Lastly theres quite a few ps move games on PS3 that have UR trophies when they aren't too hard for some reason. Medieval moves for example is estimated a 6/10 from a few people I play with and has a decent amount of UR. If you're still struggling, go to the game section and sort the list by "average rarity" and take a look in there.

I think all games with Ultra Rare trophies are doable, unless they are unobtainable. Most of them are then very grindy and hard to do solo, which makes them Ultra Rare. Another thing that makes some games Ultra Rare is that skills are required. Online and other MP trophies are also well-known factors.

What I have in mind:

  • Alpha Protocol - This game is very easy. I am at some point going for the platinum, but it is very buggy and glitchy. It is known for freezing and crashing, and the game data corrupts and tells you to quit the game. I try rebuilding the database and restoring file system on the PS3 safemode. It looks like the game data corruption stopped, but now it's freezing a lot. Will see what I can do about it.
  • Shake Spears! - Well, it has an Ultra Rare trophy and all you need is a good strategy to knock your opponents off of their horses.

Indeed look at these, ps plus games often drop in rarity, i haven't played the game yet, but for example Styx: Masters of Shadows even gives an UR trophy for completing the game, same with one of the Oddworld games, not sure which one. I have a topic with games that have a lot of UR trophies, not easy ones, but a lot, i'll post it here later. Another game that comes to mind is Blood Drive, the game is very easy (except for 2 trophies) and quite fun actually and gives a huge amount of ultra rares. I don't agree with @ee28max though, assuming that doable for you means quick and easy. There are not that many UR trophies that have that, ones that have are often Mp trophies, ps plus titles or games that are very bad. Most UR trophies have a reason for being rare which usually means that it requires a higher than average amount of skill in the game (most shmups , smb, i am bread), or an huge time investment (white knight chronicles, star ocean, far cry 2). Or are very tedious to get (dead rising games).

Final Fantasy XIV

It's just really time consuming.  Especially the 1000 Leves.  You only get 6 a day and it caps at 100 allowances.  So use or lose it.  T5 used to be hard, but is extremely cheesable now.

Both of my ur plats are doable.

Dynasty warriors next (0.83%) is just a big grind fest, but everything can be done within 80 hours. The game isn`t difficult and you only need to play the hardest difficulty in 1 stage for like 3 fights. Only hard part is finding atleast 2 other people for the ad-hoc trophy.

Littlebigplanet karting (~3%) If you can look past the boring and glitchy stuff. it's easily doable.

Also kill strain seems to be pretty easy to do, but getting the mec kills will be a pain in the ass.

Paladins has become a very rare atm (5,12%), but with a guy to boost bounty hunter (and maybe last stand) and a little bit of playing it is easy doable.

Street Fighter V is pretty easy if you're experienced in fighting games. The only troubling trophy is the priceless trophy which is just a long grind, but it is much easier now with weekly challenges and a bigger roster.

Battleborn was an incredibly long and frustrating grind on launch even with boosting, but some updates have made the character lore challenges much easier, which in turn has made earning the platinum much easier. The only reason it's ultra rare now is because most people just gave up on it and went with Overwatch.

um, any UR plat is "doable" depending on your skill, luck and patience/Dedication.

If it was easy, then it wouldn't be UR anymore.

What? There are multiple easy UR games... Switch Galaxy Ultra, Aaru's Awakening, Surge Deluxe, LittleBigPlanet games, etc.

I am currently working on KIllzone Shadow Fall its a ultra rare platinum 0.1% on PlayStation Network and 2.00% on PSN Profiles and to be honest i am on the last ability to level up on "Jack of all Trades" which seems like the trophy that holds people back and i have one more weapon attachment to upgrade for "Weapon Specialist" the only challenge you need to have the help of a human player is the supply box assists done once you max that out you can self-boost the MP however it is a 50 hour boosting process i am on 48 hours and 21 minutes so far probably will be done by the 52 hour mark after that you are all good as the campaign is not even hard on Hard (have no idea about the DLC Elite Mode yet) so yeah pretty easy so far just a giant grind on the Multiplayer.

I only have 7 ultra rare trophies. 6 of them are from two games: Super Meat Boy and Velocity 2X, and the Super Meat Boy ones are both Bronze. The Meat Boy ones are basically about replaying levels until you master them. I've not beaten either World, but I would replay levels until I got an A+ and collected the bandages. Not too bad Depending on how much you like really fast and tight platforming. The Velocity 2X ones weren't too bad. They are all about learning the levels and then replaying them until you get all the collectibles and get a good time and good score. If you get perfect on 25 levels that is an Ultra Rare trophy. It's hard, but the levels are fun and learning them is satisfying. My 7th trophy is from the Bidiots game of the Jack Box Party Pack 2. It's a trophy you can manipulate for getting over $4,000 in an auction. So that's the easiest that I got just playing the game with friends. It's like the least fun of the games, so people probably just don't play it hence Ultra Rare.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of games with UR trophies are games that aren't really popular or known about enough, which makes that not a lot of people have played them.

Actually, in most cases it is the opposite - many of the games with lots of UR are former Plus titles. There are tons of people who grabbed them, played a bit, then moved on. They become UR because there are many owners, but few completions.

Rare games can be UR, but it is often harder. If only 10 people own a game, and even 1 has completed it, then all trophies are at 10% rarity at least.
