Popular Post Dead Weight
Weeblympics #4 : Devil May Cry 4 : Special Edition (December 21st, 2018) The time has come, and so have I.... To pull my devil trigger I'd like to add Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise to my list Edited January 26, 2019 by A-Brawl3r
Wavergray
Wow I completely forgot about this event. I've plated three games so far. STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN (Vita) (Good game, Okay Grind) DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE (PS4) (Good game, Bad Grind) MIND≒0 (Vita) (Bad Game. Bad Grind) In the time since the event started I was part of the PSN name change beta and changed my PSN name to Wavergray. Since psnp cannot handle PSN name changes yet, it just looks like my profile is private while I have a brand new account with all my games on it. My Weeblympics list is still in flux, so I am not sure what games are next.
masaru-san
Hi, After first posting to this event Dec. 1, 2017, I think I'm finally on the board! I've just finished Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories (PS3: 4.94% plat). Does it qualify? Edit: Dang. Looking at it now, the game was probably higher than 30% when this event started. Just to clarify, do games have to be <30% completed when this event started? Edited January 31, 2019 by masaru-san Mistake/Question

Just to clarify, do games have to be <30% completed when this event started? Hey there, nice to see you're working through your list! Unfortunately you can't use a game for your list that had a completion higher than 30% when you joined the event, which if I recall correctly that game was above it when I added your list to the spreadsheet (Along with 3 others). Since your list is currently at 16 games, did you have 4 (or more) games that you wanted me to add to it? And now a quick update for everyone, I will be updating the spreadsheet again at some point in the next few weeks, I'm starting a new job on Monday and I've been working on some coursework as of recent, so I haven't had much time to look over the list. If anybody wants to change a game out on their list post here and I'll be sure to change it when I go through it

Popular Post ExHaseo
#5 - Ys Origin Finally got another plat for this event. This was a pain. Mainly because the internet lied. Or the console version is different than the PC version. Either way, I ended up playing through 18 times before getting the plat. Luckily it's my favorite game in the Ys series, and I love the Ys series, especially these older games that are top down. So, it was still pretty fun. Nightmare took forever though. It wasn't especially difficult, it just took a lot of grinding to get to a high enough level for each of the bosses. Of course, I had done 15 playthroughs before getting to Nightmare, so I may have just been experienced.

Popular Post FilmFanatic
Weeblympics #8 - Monster Hunter: World This was my first Monster Hunter game and I absolutely loved it. I went with the long sword which was a lot of fun. Farming for crowns is much easier these days as I got a lot of crowns from Events and crown sniping took care of the rest reasonably quickly. It took me about ~230 hours to plat and given that I spent most of that time playing during my Christmas holidays I was able to get on the fastest achievers list as well. Weeblympics #9 - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided For a while it was touch and go whether I would play this game as the Breach servers weren’t working making the plat unobtainable. Luckly they came back online after a few months and I jumped into it as soon as I could. I really enjoyed this game like the previous one and the augmentations you can unlock make playing it stealthily that much more interesting. There are a lot of missable trophies as well as branching story paths wihich makes for a lot of reloading but overall it didn’t take anything away from enjoying the game. Permadeath mode was pretty easy as you can just go invisible and waltz past every enemy. The first time I ‘died’ I very nearly forgot it was on permadeath mode and almost lost my save before quickly quitting straight out of the game.
Popular Post Warpedsavior
Twelfth weeblympics Kancolle Kai Yet another one achieved. @Hertz @Ratchet2425 Can Metal Gear Solid 2(Vita), Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance be added to my list? Popular Post FilmFanatic
Weeblympics #10 - Tales Of Symphonia: Dawn Of The New World Tales Of Symphonia: DotNW was a decent enough game though I prefer the original. It’s different from the other Tales Of games I’ve played in that your main party consists of the 2 main characters and monsters which you capture during the game. Combat can become rather broken on even the hardest difficulty when you max out a monsters stats and they can absolutely wreck everything. The trophy list wasn’t as bad as ToS with a lot less grinding and only 3 playthroughs. The Gladsheim dungeon is easily the worst thing I’ve had to do in a Tales Of game as it’s completely random and you can’t fumble your way through it, you have to map out each floor otherwise you’ll be going in circles (like I did when I had a quick go to see what it was like before reloading and mapping my way around). I’m half way through my list now though I won’t have it completed by the event end date but I will get through them all eventually. I’ll be knocking out a couple of PS4 games then it’ll be onto my last PS3 game for this event, Catherine.
Popular Post Edunstar84
Weeblympics #2 - Tales of Zestiria Didn't really enjoy this game as much as the others. Too many shortcomings in regards to the weapon system, and a lot less quality of life improvements. For instance, not including a weapon list to make the Item Collector trophy easier, whilst limiting the equipment you get when you hit an invisible limit. I could go on and on, but I won't. I won't be completing the DLC as well.
zajac9999
I've kinda lost momentum in this event lol. I've got a couple of plats to post (I think) but kinda cba. Hertz disappearing and it not being updated properly after that really killed it for me.

I had like 10-12 when I last posted I think, I forget tbh and I've got a few more since so maybe I'm close to 15. I fully planned to do 40 by the start of the 2020 olympics at the start of the event and had it been maintained I would've pushed for that. As it is now I'll settle for the 20 I guess. There's a couple I'll end up doing naturally before the middle of next year anyways.
Warpedsavior
I feel the same, with a lack of updates, I lost enthusiasm for this event and even forgot a few times to post when earning UR platinums.
Wavergray
Yep without @Hertz here to bully I mean encourage me to do the games, I just forgot about them. It doesn't help that a lot of these ultra rare anime games are kind of trash. Which is probably why they are ultra rare plats.
Popular Post Kevvik
Weeblympics #9: Omega Quintet Typical IF turn-based RPG using singing idols instead of fantasy tropes. Nice idea with semi-interesting combat system but truly painful stereotypes for the girls. Somewhat painful post-game grind that just sucks out what little enjoyment the game provided previously. FilmFanatic
Weeblympics #11 - Catherine Catherine is a game that is weird in the way that only Japanese games can be weird. You play as Vincent who has a girlfriend Katherine but he is cheating on her with Catherine. By the time you complete the story line you will find out just who this mysterious Catherine is and why you are cheating on Katherine. The gameplay involves climbing up a wall of blocks while avoiding the blocks that can send you to your death if you’re not careful and a boss on each final level. The storyline levels are mostly easy as they are all scripted so you can watch a video then repeat it. On Hard difficulty you can’t undo any mistakes you make so you need a good run or be able to work around your mistakes. Hard mode wan’t quite as bad as I thought it would be and repetition means you can learn the level without watching a video repeatedly. The Rapunzel mini game was by far the worst part of the plat with 128 levels which while short get tedious very quickly. The hardest part of the plat is the infamous Babel Tower. 4 randomly generated levels that are each longer and harder than the last. Thankfully you can make it a bit easier and quicker by doing it in pairs mode by controlling both characters which isn’t as hard as it may sound. It took me a week to conquer Babel but I was pretty damn happy that I got there and this is easily one of my proudest plats. Weeblympics #12 - Samurai Warriors 4 Samurai Warriors 4 is my second Koei Tecmo game and I can only assume that most of their games are long and grindy. The game is based around feudal Japan during the Warring States period. It features a number of real people and real battles. Each level in story mode consists of choosing 2 officers to take into battle and running through a map killing soldiers, officers and bosses while completing objectives. Like Bladestorm, once you’ve completed your first level that’s the entire game repeated for 100+ hours. There is also Chronicle mode which involves ‘writing’ the biographies of 1015 officers. This is done simply by either killing the officer in battle or fighting along side them. You can also collect the best weapon for each officer in story mode once you have made enough progress in Chronicle mode. The grindy part is completing every objective for every level as well as completing every level with all available officers which can range from 2 to 12 officers which really drags on by the end of the plat. Even though it looks like this event is dead in the water as far as updating the original post goes, I already own 19 out of the 20 games I choose so I’ll be playing them all anyway. And for anyone who chose Grand Kingdom you may want to check this thread out.
