A little help to 100%

So, basically, I want to share my findings.

 

First of all, don't get put off by the ultra rares. This game is very easy, no missables.

 

• I can confirm that you don't need NG+ (Overseer 2.0) for 100% completion. Everything is doable on the easiest difficulty
• After going NG+, you can switch back, so don't be afraid beating the boss
• Tip: when entering a secret level, double check whether it contains any unlockables (see this guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681536111, except for C4 which is located on Floor 5 despite what this guide is saying), and always bring some kind of rocket when going for unlockables on secret levels. At the beginning you're given a selection of 3 random assets with fixed abilities, but you can always purchase an ability or weapon of your choice, replacing the random assets.
• Secret levels are randomly generated, but replaying floors and completing them will eventually fill out the set. Each floor has its own set of secret maps (like if you're missing a few medical stages, you should replay floor 5, nothing else). Check the Overseer board for progression.
• There are two very good enhancements that you should use for grinding money for the level 100 stat: one is for exploding enemies, and one that gives floor bonus. Purchase both of them for the next asset, and just go through with them on all floors. This will net you around 60k each run.

 

I didn't pay attention to hidden doors on secret levels, so it took me 13:37 (!!!) hours to complete the game. I think it can be done well under 10 or 8 or even less.

tl;dr: Anyone seeing ultra rare trophies and getting scared, don't be. It' s suuuper easy, and fun. The only downside is loading times and luck-based findings, but if you know how the game deals with secret levels, it can be easier.

Cool, good to know. It did catch my attention, so it's already downloaded on my VITA. Will get around to play it eventually.

Certain builds really trivialize the game, too. I primarily used this combo:

 

Laser SMG

Neurocore Stunner (15% chance to stun)

Neurocore Sandman (increases damage by 100% against stunned targets)

Armocore Splinter Bullets (bullets split in two with a 30% damage increase)

Mediplus Critheal (heals you 2HP every time you crit an enemy)

 

Starting character doesn't matter much, although Assassin gets more critical hits, making them the ideal choice. It remained highly effective up to Overseer 4.0, which is about when I unlocked everything and became bored with the game.
