Grimy's Uncharted Contest (Time to Grind LOL)

OK, guys.  As most folks know, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy comes out later this month (22 August to be exact).  This is one of the highly anticipated titles for this year, and I'm sure many folks want to get their hands on the game on release date.  However, some folks will be unable to get it.  Want to get the game for free?  Here's your chance.  There's a catch, though.  You're going to have to do some work for it.  It's something I did in the past.  So, I'm going to do it again, for now anyway.  All you have to get the most points between today and Labor Day (4 September 7 AM ET), and you'll get the game for free.  I'm willing to ship the game, if you prefer disks to digital/download, but I live in the US.  So, you'll have to be a US resident, unfortunately.  For 2nd/3rd place winners, they'll get a $10 (US) PSN card.

 

You earn points by earning trophies, and you get different values of points depending on the kind of trophies you get.  Here are the point values:

 1 point

 2 points

 5 points

 10 points

For platinum trophies, there's a multiplier system.  So the more rare the platinum, the more points you get.  Multiplier values:

Common: none (get good scrub)

Uncommon: 1.5x (15 points) Good, but still should be ashamed

Rare: 2.5x (25 points) You may actually enjoy your games

Very Rare: 5x (50 points) Now we're talking

Ultra Rare: 10x (100 points) My e-peen is yuge bro

Here are the rules:

• You can't have trophies that stack and/or have them instantly pop (ie Sound Shapes).  You can have multiple versions of the same game, provided they're different trophy lists.  For example, the PS3 and PS4 of Batman AA have the same list.  So, you can play either version, but not both.   For a game like Dead Nation,  the PS3/Vita Versions are the same.  So, you can play either version, along with the PS4 version, since the PS4 version requires the DLC for the platinum.  I hope that makes sense.
• For ultra rare platinum trophies to count, the game has to be out at least two months.  Otherwise, they count as a common platinum (no multiplier)
• In case of a tie, the tiebreaker goes by your rarity of the platinum.
• Don't be a scumbag and get trophies for the game I'm giving away.  The game comes out before this contest will be over.  You'll be automatically gone if I see you have trophies on this game.  I don't care how many points you have.  You're gone.  It's not fair to folks who want to play the game but can't.
• The last date to officially compete in the contest is 27 August, by 11:59 PM ET (GMT-4).

 

Last, but not least.  To enter, all you have to do is vote in the poll (yes).  It makes this easy for me, and I can update in this OP.  Please update me weekly of your trophies, by Sunday 11:55 PM ET (GMT -4)  Just send me a PM here or PSN every weekend.  I'l try to update this at least twice a week.  Thanks, and have fun.

Thanks for doing this Grimy! I already have some pretty extreme trophy goals to hit by my birthday (September 3rd), so this just gives me that extra incentive. For future reference I have 8,333 trophies at the moment, so 8, 334 and after will count towards this contest. Also, does the 'none' multiplier for common plats mean x1 or x0?

The poll is a great idea to keep track of participants. I'm planning to have a big event in September, but wasn't sure the best way to track participation.

Just to clarify about the games that stack.  The games that don't count are the ones where you can get the platinum in 30 secs? But something like rootletter would count? Where there are separate lists but there is no share data between the systems.

How do you want us to update you? Do we just list what games we played and the number of each type of trophy earned?

You mite be rite but at least I can say that I've seen every major sport team in Chicago win a Championship in my life time.Bears,Bulls,Hawks,Sox,Cubs,and even the soccer team the Fire  .So I don't care much about the next 100 years but you stick to the Cavs and Buckeyes for now my friend ✌️

Man.  You either like the Cubs or White Sox.  No one wants to hear that mess LOL.  My city don't have a hockey team.  My favorite hockey team is the Red Wings, who has more than all but the Leafs and Canadiens SMH  I'm moving to Atlanta in a few days.  I get to troll these Failcons bums LOL

Where's the line drawn with this? Are the 2 Guacamelee lists stacks even though the PS4 version adds new content/trophies? Is Ratchet & Clank PS4 a stack of Ratchet & Clank PS3/Vita because it's a remake of the same game? Are the Kingdom Hearts games stacks even though the PS4 collection adjusted the requirements a bit, so the PS3 versions are a lot longer?

 

I won't be participating in this because I have no chance of winning, and I'm not too interested in Uncharted anyway, but might be best to expand on that rule a bit. Good luck to the people participating.

No, I mean the games with literally the same trophy lists.  I'm going to edit the list a bit as time progresses.  An example would be say Ultimate MVC3.  You can play the Vita or PS3 version (can't play both), along with the PS4 version, as the PS4 version trophy list is slightly different.  I hope that makes sense.  @scarishbal I added a little leeway.  You can play multiple versions of a game, but the trophy lists have to be different.

I know it wouldn't be easy to figure out a scoring system for this competition but if you look at Siegecraft Commander (66 points) for a 10 minute platinum.. Damn ?

True, but an UR platinum is worth more.  So, take that into account, too.  That's why I did a multiplier.

There are dozens of games that are 1-2 hour plats that you could knock over in a week and get a massive lead. For the people that haven't done them, they're already front runners in this competition.

 

I wouldn't be suprised if someone created an account and smashed those games just to be a troll and snag this game.
