What draws you to this game?

Okay so a preface for me I guess is I come from playing racing games like Need for Speed, Forza/Horizons, and the ye olde days of good ol' Juiced.

So for me I'm always drawn to the racing games where you can buy and modify your car however you like, and in that regard I've never touched on a more "serious" game such as the F1 series.

 

With the 2017 version coming out, I just want to know what makes this game so enjoyable for so many of you, why you like it, the parts of the game that draw you to it etc.

always liked how formula one cars look like. been a fan back in the 90s. and the game is perfect for quick 20 minutes gaming and it tends more towards arcade rather then being a hard simulator imho. its not like assetto corsa where you literally struggling keeping the car on track. 
so in conclusion good looking, easy to pick up even after long break from the game and easy to drive (even though you can make this hard with no assists manual shifting and ultimate ui)

sometimes I also just enjoy some crash replays
