I think you are all correct, the elite tag was a jest at how It is constantly thrown around this site with no consequence. To be honest maybe you are all correct but I know one thing, none of you are good people. You are taking shots at me to validate your own short comings. But you are right I don't need to waste my time on this sort of stuff anymore.

I don't want to pile on, but you have to have known how this thread would go down. If you want to have an event with lvl 55+ people, so be it few enough people would care. But the attitude you have is hurtful and not especially productive. I don't care about being excluded, personally, because I don't want to spam VNs all day or anything (more power to you for choosing this as a gaming goal, and even for making this event if it's something you'll enjoy, but you don't need to be so toxic about it,) but you have to realize a lot of very accomplished people on the site are going to see this and balk at it, and create even more toxicity as a result.

 

You've been the target of some unfair treatment in your time on the forums, absolutely, but most of the people in this thread have nothing to do with that. Can't you separate the two?

 

Maybe the point is that you viewed Jem's event as exclusionary? You aren't entirely wrong maybe, but at least the criteria weren't so blatantly self-serving, and as bad of an attitude as he had at times it's nothing like the open hostility you've shown in this thread. You are very good in events, and in the best of times you are fun to play with and talk to as well. Don't let something like this ruin that. Jem learned and grew from that event, as did I, and hopefully you can do the same.

I'm level 66 on PSN, but I wouldn't want to join an event like this excluding so many people for no reason. Many of the low or mid-level PSN accounts I've seen are much more "elite" than I am considering I've played a lot of easy games (including VNs), I've stacked platinums (including instant ones), and I've been playing for trophies since 2009. I really don't get why people have to judge other people's gaming though - that goes for both sides. If people want to play VNs (and skip text on them), let them; if people want to only play hard games or games with ultra rare trophies, let them. Certainly I'm impressed by people having tough trophies or platinums, but I like all trophies and would never judge someone based solely on their PSN accounts. If you find you have to judge others for what or how they play (things like game sharing and hacking are obviously bad though), then you're not the kind of person I have much respect for (that again goes for both sides here).

 

Some of the people commenting here and judging CjS have really disappointed me today. There were much better ways of telling him this event was not a good idea or even offering suggestions on adjusting it (though it seems CjS wants this event to be specifically like this). I'm hoping you'll all stop judging CjS and his PSN account and only stick to commenting on the event itself.

So know that it has calmed down I would like to acknowledge everyone that posted. I respect this is a public forum and you can say whatever you want. Unfortunately many of you were so focused on either attacking, slandering or self projecting that you may have missed the whole point. Anyone that actually knows me has known for sometime I have little interest in dealing with this increasingly vocal minority. You see you type whatever you want and feel no accountability. The whole point of this was to see what would occur, would it pass by or was it just to tempting to take a free shot in hope of feeling some self validation. I don't seek to judge any of you, it takes a certain unhappiness with life to need to attack someone else with a keyboard. I do pity you though and hope that you can move to a better place in life. 

 

Perhaps next time take a moment to think how your response will look the next day, and then if your still of the opinion it's valid do as you will. Or better yet actually step away from your viel of anonymity and approach the person. You see your words don't hurt me but that is because I see you for what you are, as will some of this community. But how can you be sure the next person you do this to will be strong enough to deal with your disgusting abuse.

Because the next person won't be stupid enough to attack the community without valid reason in the first place. You're always talking negatively about this website yet you still continue to use it every day it seems. This thread was ever so blatantly only made for attention and unfortunately it didn't go as well as you hoped.

 

Theres no abuse here. If any lesson could be learnt from this it's don't give what you can't take, because that's clearly a big issue for you.
