The Love For Dynasty Warriors

I looked up a few times a did not see a list similar to this or anything. If I am mistaken, I apologize for making a double thread. 

 

I wanted to make this thread for the people that absolutely LOVE the Dynasty Warriors games or Koei in general.

 

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM TO DEATH AND I WANT TO FIND OTHER PEOPLE IN THE PSNP THAT LOVE SERIES JUST LIKE ME OR NOT LOL. I WELCOME ALL AND HIII ALLLLL

 

UPDATE: I got a response from the PR and he said himself that he tried asking the Japanese Koei about bringing the old games, 2-5, on the PS2 to PS4 but got no responses from them. Hopefully we can change that, maybe a petition to the Japanese faction of Koei to show we truly love the games on the west? NA AND PAL ARE INCLUDED. ANYONE WITH ME?

 

UPDATE 2: FOR ANYONE WHO READS THIS THREAD I WANT YOU TO PUT DOWN WHY YOU LOVE THIS COMPANY, WHAT MAKES IT GREAT, HOW CAN WE CHANGE THEM AND HOW WILL THE COMPANY SHAPE IN THE FUTURE. WHO IS WITH ME?

NO I HAVEN'T but I do of the game's existence. I do want to try it one day hahaha. Trust me, there isn't a lot of other Koei games I played but I know of them

Actually I am friendly with the PR for Koei America on Twitter and just asked the other day if they can bring the old games, 2-5, on PS2 to PS4 if possible. They only have it on the Japanese Store which isnt fair :'(

I remember getting Dynasty Warriors 2 when I bought my PS2 way back when, it was the first game I played on it (Even though I had MGS2 (The main reason I bought the console), GTA3 and DMC among other games but didn't want to get too stuck into anything as I didn't get home with my haul till late in the evening)

 

Being greeted with the Yellow Turban Rebellion is one gaming moment I will never forget, in short I love the series but I will always have a soft spot for DW2, this amazing track sums up my whole love for the franchise:

did it make anyone else sad?

like when people died

for example

cao caos death was sad

i felt super bad for lui bei about guan yu and Zhang fei

like the way they did the story made me really sad for characters deaths well certain ones anyways

All the character death scenes made me sad. But the most impact has to be with Sun Quan killing Zhang Liao......I was struck hard and still is :'(

Oh crap that's right I remember that lol I love Zhang Liao his death suckeddd 

I felt dw7 did the deaths beautifully tho. 

Also side note

im so glad they are giving sun Jian his helmet back lol they made him look so old dw6-8 even though he died really young like 38 I think

and I like how they gave liu bei facial hair again

Oh I played both final fantasy and dynasty warriors but I like history a lot so it really really pleases me ahah actually because of dw is why I enjoy history so much

I love the series too but I had more fun with Samurai Warriors 2 back in the day. Well more Musou games is always fun for me. Can't wait for Dynasty Warriors 9 and Get my copy of Musou All Stars.

It is a shame the HD version was only available in Japanese. 

 

Also I love how the Empires genre evolved through out the years. DW 8: Empires was so fun, you can choose what play style you want with your characters and subordinates.

Lol. Not to brag or anything...but back in May this year I went to Hong Kong and then went and visited China for a couple of days it's beautiful there

That is so true. I wish NA/PAL had a true HD remake of any of their original games. Hell I will take the PS2 to PS4 option which I brought up to the PR of Koei America

Ohh, that would be great. I always have laughs when my screen suddenly goes dark and it's scene from the Samurai characters. Like there intro or something haha. I wish that was back

You don't know how good it feels to find other people that truly love the series like myself. For years it was hard finding people. I AM SO HAPPY. I also introduced the series to 2 people and they loved it. My friend from way back and my current boyfriend lol

No no 1st of all, the Great Wall was way up north and where I went was south

and 2nd I don't know where the terra cotta warriors are located lol

 

but OMG the 18 hour flight from Chicago is insane haha
