It was probably made by a student who is just getting into game design, so he probably put in a great deal of time into this... Takes nothing away from me if it's on the store or not. Like I think I am Mayo is the stupidest game ever made. Yet multiple people in this thread have platinum'd it, including the TC who platinum'd it twice lol. This game looks about a million times more interesting to me than that steaming load. Even if the game's shit, it'll be gone from the recent release section after a couple weeks and buried in the pile of other shit I'll forget about. The more things available, the better. I gotta be real, I enjoy the shit out of Coffin Dodgers on PS4, plat'd a couple times and it's just a fun little kart racer. I also enjoyed, despite it being absolute shit, Vroom in the Night Sky on Switch. The more games, the better. The game could be absolute fucking dog shit, but it deserves to exist nonetheless. If a dev pumps the thing out looking for a quick buck from people craving easy plats, awesome, it's great for that crowd. If a dev pumps out a piece of shit that just sucks ass and isn't fun, don't buy it, problem solved. If that piece of shit develops a cult following, or even just a niche little crowd who like it, awesome, it's great they can get that if they want. I have no idea who makes that decision. Anyway, this one already seems to have a lot better gameplay than those pesky click simulators. He was the indie outreach bringing games like The Witness, Salt & Sanctuary, and Night in the Woods. Without him, Sony's approach to indies is, "does it run?" And "how much would you like to sell it for?". It's not a coincidence that theme and avatar sellers have been releasing games, Sony is letting anything go with indie studios on PSN as it did those extras now. Zero quality control and now zero goodwill with the community of players and developers alike. This generation began with people complaining about Sony dedicating so much to supporting and marketing indies, and it's ending with announcements like Undertale being an afterthought. Meanwhile Xbox and Nintendo are getting all the indie love as of late, scooping up what PlayStation's absentmindedness lost. During the pre-show, but that's hardly "an afterthought". An afterthought, is games like this. Without this post I wouldn't have ever heard about it. That's an actual afterthought dear. Who cares, don't buy it if you don't want it. edit; also I find it funny you have games like Hatoful Boyfriend on your list, which when it was announced people treated exactly like this game. I'm not going to lie, I have played a few bad games and added them to my list simply just to see how the games play. Since I haven't been trophy hunting that long compared to some of you who have been going at it since 2008 - 2010, I'm not really in a position to comment on whether a lot of games in general have just become shovelware, which is what we expect to see on a regular basis from Steam. Those of you who play games for accomplishment and just want to have long, difficult, challenging games worth your time on your profile, then by all means keep your standards, but don't go try to ruin other peoples experience to try out titles you may think are complete shit. I'm not afraid to admit I do play a lot of easy games, but that is mostly my personal preference since I'm not someone who likes to go and play a lot of difficult games since that ends up frustrating me more than I get enjoyment out of them. Today it's possible to get 1000 Top Rated, Orc Slayer, My Name is Mayo (twice) and Energy Cycle in less than five hours, for cheap. That's five platinums in five hours or less. I guess for those of you who play a lot of longer games like Final Fantasy XIII, Fallout 4, Dark Souls and such have a reason to complain. I haven't followed what Sony has done in the past couple years, but what it sounds like is they're putting out more games that are considered very easy, whereas in the past you would only find such games on Steam, like I just said. Maybe instead of saying these bad, quick games have to stop, we should be saying our divide in the community based on how we look at trophies has to stop. Because it's not helping anyone, and a few people have already left these forums due to what we perceive as good or bad to add to our trophy profiles. In the description of the vid there it reads: "Here's a let's pay I recorded for my upcoming game - Licky The Lucky Lizard Lives Again. " Sure, it LOOKS kinda bare-bones but look isn't everything and it can still be a funny game. Reminds me a little of Superfrog HD and that was super enjoyable!
