Popular Post Arctic Cress
The Endless Backlog and Trophy Checklist of Arctic Cress Hello, I'm Arctic Cress and welcome to this topic representing my collection of platinums, collection of PSN 100%s, and my endless backlog that will never be finished, ever. Currently, I have 324 platinum trophies, and 109 100% games spanning over 10 years of playing on PS3, PS4, PS5, and Vita. My first Sony console was actually a PSP, as I've always been a handheld gamer and I wanted to play Persona 3 Portable when it released on the system (I still have the Junpei hat.) I bought a PS3 to play Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten and Tales of Graces f when it was announced to be localized, and while I completed the latter game I've played about 5 hours of the first. I only really started going after platinum trophies at the tail end of 2014, when I got five in the last three months of that year. Since then, I've been hunting trophies pretty steadily. Platinums #1-20 Spoiler 1. Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland November 18, 2011 My first platinum - I had no idea what the Atelier series was prior to purchasing this game, and ever since I've bought every single physical copy released since. This game was actually not one of the best Ateliers, but I still enjoyed it enough to seek out the next copy (Atelier Totori) to continue once I finished it. The only hard part of this game? Sitting through the credits song all 15 times or so. Thankfully, it's skippable in the remake. EDIT: And not skippable on the PS4. Who put that back in this!? 2. Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland March 13, 2012 After Rorona before it, Totori's game blew me away with its increased focus on adventuring (it's in the title!) and having the 2nd best protagonist in the series to date. This game really solidified the Atelier series as being my biggest surprise series of the previous generation. Fun fact: I bought this with Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten - you can scroll up to see what happened there. 3. SSX (2012) April 1, 2012 SSX Tricky and SSX 3 are two of my favorite games from the PS2/GameCube days and I sunk so many hours into them during high school that I was definitely on board with a new SSX. This is the platinum that really says "you has to be there" at the time. The online component near the launch was one of the most fun I've had with any title here. I even tag-teamed global events with another guy trying to do all the global event badges in each peak, which was a fun evening. (He beat me by a few weeks.) 4. Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland August 5, 2012 The finish of the Arland trilogy. It definitely was a let down after how expansive Totori's world was and Meruru is definitely not one of my favorite Atelier protagonists either. Still, it's nice to see all the returning characters - practically everyone important is from either Rorona or Totori (or both) with a few notable exceptions. I still enjoyed the title - the LE included a Barrel! t-shirt that I still wear on occasion. 5. Tales of Graces f October 12, 2012 The game that I bought my PS3 for! And what a game it was. I think I spent over 150 hours playing this game but I still enjoyed it - the battle system is still the best I've seen in any Tales game. Much better than anything Symphonia, Phantasia, Vesperia, or Xillia brought to the table. The side characters were also amazing as well, giving some exceptional skit dialogue - shame about the main duo of Asbel and Cheria who are some of my least liked Tales characters. 6. Hyperdimension Neptunia February 8, 2013 This game sat in my room for about two years after I got my first trophies - ever - from it back in 2011. Nothing about the game impressed me and its mechanics were terrible (random chance to heal?). I eventually pushed through it and got the platinum, using a guide to pick up the missable enemy data (which required a second play through). Honestly if I didn't already own mk2 at this point I would have dropped the series all together and never bought another one - this game is probably the worst PS3 game I ever played. 7. Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 March 9, 2013 Thankfully, mk2 fixes a lot of the problems in the original. Random encounters are gone and replaced with visible enemies, there's regular healing items instead of random chance, and the combo system is simplified a lot and actually is required instead of spam X to win in the original. I actually didn't mind the Conquest ending either, especially given how much I hated the first game. I tried Victory afterwards and burned out on Neptunia for four years. Only now I'm getting back to the series. 8. Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk April 12, 2013 The Atelier Dusk trilogy is probably one of my favorite trilogies in gaming, with three very excellent games that break away from the traditional Atelier games like the Arland and Mysterious trilogies and place the setting in a world that's being swallowed by the Dusk. It all starts here, with Ayesha going on a journey to save her sister. The biggest highlight of Ayesha for me is the soundtrack - no Atelier game comes close to the amount of standout tracks in this game. There's great battle tracks such as MARIA, Salamander, Slag Dance, and Yesterday's Opponents are Today's Ingredients; vocal tracks such as Mystic Pendulum and Altair; and event tracks such as Guidance. It's up there with NieR as one of the best soundtracks of the PS3 era. Most Ateliers allow you to use previous music from past titles as DLC and I tend to use a lot of past Ayesha tracks on second play throughs. 9. Sound Shapes (Vita) June 9, 2013 A familiar face to most PSN players, it's Sound Shapes! I started this originally on the PS3 and some Death Mode levels were impossible for me so I gave up. Eventually I got a Vita and decided to try the remaining levels on the Vita and managed to finally finish it off. I've done all the Beat School DLC and still have it downloaded on all platforms in case of another DLC pack coming out. There hasn't been one in quite a while but I know it's possible. 10. Sound Shapes (PS3) June 9, 2013 Autopopped. 11. Plants vs. Zombies (Vita) September 2, 2013 I've now completed Plants vs. Zombies on three platforms - PS3, Vita and PC, and I've enjoyed doing so on all three platforms. This one is a little more expansive due to Zen Garden requirements, but it's still not that complicated for a platinum. There's a lot of creative ways to win certain trophies which is a nice addition to the title. 12. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F (PS3) September 13, 2013 I knew basically nothing about Vocaloids prior to playing the demo. I knew the name Hatsune Miku, but didn't know much. I liked all three songs that were included in the demo so I decided to buy the game at launch, and it became one of my favorite rhythm series. My favorite song from this game is probably Tell Your World though I'm disappointed it got slightly cut to fit in the game. 13. Dragon Fantasy Book II November 14, 2013 I had played Dragon Fantasy Book I early in the year so I picked up the sequel later on. It's a subpar RPG trying to be Chrono Trigger with monster collecting but it's riddled with bugs (I actually broke the game and triggered a story event twice) and a really silly missable trophy that's extremely easy to miss. Plus, there's a sequel hook and four years later there's no news on a sequel at all. 14. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward December 8, 2013 This is probably the game that originally got me to start hunting trophies. I received this from PS+ and had no intention of actually playing it since I had finished the 3DS version in the prior year, and did not need to revisit the game - but I did, and went all the way to the end again for the platinum. It was still enjoyable and eventually led me to choose Zero Time Dilemma on Vita as well, since this version had better graphics and less game-breaking bugs than the 3DS version. 15. Tearaway December 25, 2013 Merry Christmas, here's a letter to you. It's very interesting given the game's story and the fact that I got the platinum on Christmas day. It's a pretty enjoyable platformer in the end - some of the levels can get very difficult as you approach the end of the game. The platinum is only annoying because you have to collect everything - and some items can be impossible to find. 16. Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland January 11, 2014 1, 2, 4, 8, 16. Did you notice the Atelier pattern? I didn't until before I got this platinum, and I rushed through this to get its platinum before SC II HD. It's basically the same game as the PS3 version, so still enjoyable. 17. Soul Calibur II HD Online January 11, 2014 Soul Calibur II is probably my favorite traditional fighting game. I had the GameCube version as a kid so I enjoyed beating up the characters as Link. Sadly he's not in this version, but I had already moved to Talim at some point and continued that into this version, completing all of Weapon Master mode again and only needing a very small amount of grinding at the end for 10,000 hits. More fighting games should include a mode like Weapon Master mode, I really enjoyed it back then and in this version as well. 18. Ys: Memories of Celceta January 22, 2014 The only two Ys games I had finished before this one were Ys I & II Chronicles, so compared to those two this game was amazing. I think I got lucky with the collectibles - the game requires you to hit every treasure chest, material point, and every inch of the map and I managed to do it all on my first play through. I mostly used Adol, Karna and Calilica except when the game required me to play others for trophies. It's my favorite Ys game and I'm eagerly awaiting Ys VIII. 19. Tales of Xillia February 23, 2014 I've heard a lot of complaints about Xillia given how it was rushed, how the battle system isn't as good as Graces f, etc. I still think it's my 2nd favorite Tales game behind Vesperia. It has one of the best main characters in Milla Maxwell and a very welcome sidequest tracker that some past Tales games desperately needed. The Lilium orb is also a very nice level up tool and allows for some interesting setups in early levels (though it all balances out by the end). 20. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc March 1, 2014 I was going to start my first real job in my chosen field a week after receiving this game in the mail, so I knew I didn't have much time to finish it. I had originally viewed orenronen's LP of the game since I never believed this game would come over from Japan (and then it did!) so I had a basic idea of everything that needed to be done to play through the game. Still enjoyed playing through it myself even with NISA's subpar translation. Several lines just don't make sense and are probably just direct translations of Japanese text that make little sense in English. Platinums #21-40 Spoiler 21. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f (Vita) March 9, 2014 Hey, this game looks familiar. I saw the Vita version had a separate trophy list and jumped in again, grabbing world firsts for A Place to Unwind and Fabulous Furniture and being in the top 20 to finish the game. It's the same list as the PS3 version with the DLC separate from the main game. 22. The Walking Dead (Vita) April 5, 2014 My first Telltale game and probably none of the other games will come close to this one. While it features zombies, they're very unimportant and are only used as a driving force - the main draw of the game is the interactions between the characters. The fifth episode has some of the best scenes in the game and is a must-play for any gamer. I wasn't impressed with Season Two and since I played on the Vita, the save file is completely unable to continue to Season Three. Thanks, Telltale. 23. Smart as... April 12, 2014 A PS+ special and not a very good one. I enjoyed the minigames for a few weeks but it became a chore to keep going back to this so I eventually adjusted the Vita clock to get the daily trophies and only did the online stuff after that was done. The platinum is now unachievable so it's nice to have it on my list, at least. 24. Gravity Rush July 29, 2014 This was also a PS+ game but very different than the last game. It's definitely one of the best games I've played on Vita and really makes use of many of the Vita's controls. I never was really good at gravity sliding though. After beating it I decided to give the developers money by buying the DLC - they definitely deserved it for making this. The only problem - it ended in a cliffhanger with a lot of questions unexplained - but that's why we got a sequel. 25. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair October 5, 2014 I was less than impressed with DR1's release but DR2 was impressive. Orenronen stopped his LP in chapter 3 due to the impending English release so more than half of this game was left to play through unspoiled. Except for Hangman's Gambit, the trial minigames were implemented well and Hajime is a much better protagonist than Makoto was in the first DR. I could do with a little less School Mode and the Monomi minigame for the platinum, ugh. Neither one was much fun. 26. Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus November 15, 2014 My first trip into the Senran Kagura universe - I had bought Burst but never played it, and I found it to be a mini version of Dynasty Warriors with an all female ninja cast. There's nothing really special about it and it's a generic beat-em-up. Of course, that's not the main draw of the series. 27. Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed (Vita) November 30, 2014 On track for biggest surprise of the year, Akiba's Trip is about a guy who becomes a vampire and then fights other vampires by stripping their clothes off. As absurd as that sounds. It received a stellar localization from XSEED which really enhanced the game and features actual Japanese advertisements and actual stores from Akihabara. it's a lot of silly fun and you can play around with the character models after finishing the game once. There's also multiple weapons each with different attack patterns and discovering which one is best is an enjoyable part as well. I bought this as an impulse buy and was pleasantly surprised by it. 28. Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit December 8, 2014 Not a good rhythm game. Most songs were boring to play through, some seemed ridiculously badly placed without regard to difficulty, and the stories ranged from boring to completely ridiculous. I got bored playing through most of the rhythm game and had to grind out a good portion of the 200 songs. There are much better rhythm games on the Vita to bother with this one, though Hanzo's comments on the various dishes are worth listening to. 29. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd December 23, 2014 After the surprise that was Project DIVA F, it was already a foregone conclusion that I would purchase F 2nd as well. Having not played the previous Project DIVA games, it was 40 new tracks (+16 DLC) to me and it was a nice wealth of content to play through and I enjoyed almost all the tracks included. My favorite track? Well, you just need to look at my current PSN avatar to find that out. Roshin Yukai is probably my favorite song over the entire series. NOTE: At the time of this write-up, I had the PSN avatar displaying Rin in the Reactor module from Roshin Yukai. 30. Final Horizon January 30, 2015 A fun PS+ tower defense. I enjoyed it enough to get the platinum and decided to throw a few $ at the DLC to give the developers some money. it's pretty simplistic overall but I still had a good time. 31. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (Vita) March 7, 2015 UGH. This game tried to be Smash Bros and just completely failed at it. It's a boring, imbalanced mess and has some of the worst netcode I've ever seen. Some online matches wouldn't even start - one match I got stuck in a Ready? GO! loop until I had to shut down the Vita completely to get out of it. The character list isn't very special either - all the first party Sony characters are there, but the third party is lacking. Smash Bros even managed to pull Cloud Strife, geez. DmC Dante, Raiden, and Heihachi don't seem like a stellar lineup to compete with something like that. 32. Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky March 13, 2015 The Atelier pattern continues with platinum 32. The best Atelier game - best item crafting system, best battle system, best protagonist. Could use some improvements in characters and music, but the other two games in the series make up for those shortcomings. I initially didn't like it much because the PS3 guide on playstationtrophies.com incorrectly reports that you need to beat Ultimate Flameu at level 99 for the trophy (and still does!) but you can beat her at a lesser level since I found her level 99 version to be impossible. That's the main reason this platinum took so long - but it fit right into the pattern so I'm fine with that. 33. Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires May 22, 2015 As of this writing, it's my only Dynasty Warriors platinum and with good reason - it seems Tecmo Koei wasn't creating trophy list that takes 100 hours to complete yet and this was a pretty simple one, just finish all the storylines and beat maps with certain characters. Nothing too difficult. I had played Dynasty Warriors 8 previously so it was an interesting look back at some of the long-time characters in the franchise. 34. ラブライブ! School idol paradise Vol.3 lily white May 26, 2015 I've going on my 3rd year of playing School Idol Festival on my phone and while I've enjoyed that one for years I can't say the same about these Vita games. All three are blatant cash grabs with a very limited song list and some of the most inane ways to end a story mode. I literally put my Vita down and hit no notes during some play throughs to get to some endings. What a disappointment. 35. Sound Shapes (PS4) July 25, 2015 I autopopped it. SHORT WRITEUP GO 36. ラブライブ! School idol paradise Vol.1 Printemps August 6, 2015 The other Love Live platinums came pretty quick due to the save transfer. 37. ラブライブ! School idol paradise Vol.2 BiBi August 21, 2015 Also, Nico is best girl. You're not allowed to disagree. 38. 初音ミク Project DIVA F August 30, 2015 Hey, this again. I platinumed this game three times without a save transfer! It was still fun the third time. 39. Final Fantasy XIII September 13, 2015 I had originally played Final Fantasy XIII when I had a Xbox 360, so the long time from release to this date makes some sort of sense. I managed to speed to Pulse in 20 hours from the beginning, which impressed me given how long some people took to get to that stage. At the end though I was very bored of killing turtles. My friend joked about it, calling it Turtle Killing Simulator XIII. Which is pretty accurate in the end, to be honest. 40. Persona 4: Dancing All Night October 28, 2015 Got this before I ended up unemployed at the end of the month (by choice). It wasn't a very impressive rhythm game either. I definitely liked some of the best Persona 4 tracks get a rhythm game based around them, but the story mode was extremely weak, Kanami was a boring character to focus on, and ALL NIGHT mode was almost impossible because I could not get the hang of the game at all. I'm not too excited for Persona 3 or Persona 5's rhythm games because of this lackluster entry, but I'll still buy them anyway. The soundtrack that came with this game was the main highlight anyway. Platinums #41-60 Spoiler 41. IA/VT -Colorful- November 22, 2015 A... different Vocaloid game! And still very good. Though it took a long time to go through every song on easy, medium, and hard and with only one Vocaloid instead of six it got a little bit stale pretty quickly. Still, it's an enjoyable rhythm game with just a few ridiculous trophies, nothing too major. 42. Corpse Party: Blood Drive January 20, 2016 I enjoyed the first Corpse Party. I didn't like Book of Shadows much, but the last chapter gave me hope for this to be a good game. NOPE. This game is absolutely terrible in every way. Every new character is completely unlikable, phantoms are the most annoying addition to his game ever, and 50% of the game is Ayumi moping around wondering what she should do. Not even a joke, really. The entire game is a complete mess. Hopefully Team GrisGris finishes Corpse Party 2 so we can have a good Corpse Party game again. 43. Rocket League January 27, 2016 I'm sure everyone on PSN and Steam has heard of Rocket League by now, it's one of the biggest indie multiplayer games and a big success that the PS+ release almost killed the company. There's nothing difficult about the platinum, though it requires some multiplayer. I got a few trophies by playing online with some friends sometime after release and finished it up in this month. 44. Lost Dimension (Vita) February 9, 2016 I get some of the criticisms about this game, but I really enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for good strategy RPGs that can have certain alternate ways to play, like instead of unlocking a door use the guy who can teleport, bring the entire party with him and kill the boss behind the door. I could do without Himeno betraying me in every play through before floor 3 (I let her live in play through 2 to get her bonding event). What the hell, Himeno? 45. Steins;Gate (Vita) March 2, 2016 This is, easily, the best visual novel I've ever read. Okabe is a pretty crazy dude in the beginning but he gets much better throughout the multiple endings and many events of this visual novel. A lot of what I could say here is spoiler territory so go read it yourself! 46. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth April 10, 2016 I had not played a Digimon game prior to this one and hadn't watched the anime since the second season was on TV on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. It ended up my 2nd favorite game released during 2016. Despite the various translation errors, the game was a great deal of fun and much better even than any Pokemon game that I've ever played. The only annoying thing was the medal collection - but that doesn't add too much time to the final counter. I also enjoyed the DLC missions which helped me so I didn't have to go to another play through. I wouldn't have minded too much though - I enjoyed the battle system and it was great fun throughout all of it. Can't wait for the sequel. 47. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus (Vita) May 9, 2016 It's another Senran Kagura game. You can take what I said in the Shinovi Versus writeup above and just copy and paste it here. There's basically no difference between the two games except it's a whole new storyline. I don't really know why I bought this. Why do I have Peach Beach Splash preordered. whyyyyyy 48. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection May 17, 2016 I never owned a Sega Genesis as a kid, so for a lot of these games it was my first time ever playing them. None of the trophies were very difficult, though I assume if I had to beat some of these it would be a much more difficult platinum to achieve. I still feel like coming back to this and doing so, especially the four Phantasy Star games, the classic Sonic games and Streets of Rage. 49. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea May 31, 2016 Not on the pattern, but still fun. It's definitely the weakest in the Dusk trilogy - it doesn't have the music that Ayesha has, the alchemy system that Escha & Logy has (I still don't understand the combo system), and it eliminated the time limit, which had both advantages and disadvantages. What annoyed me was a lack of returning characters, and most of the ones that did weren't even party members anymore (sorry, Reyfer). There's also no real ending to the overarching plot of the entire trilogy, but I'm told that is fixed in the Vita port. Hopefully that is the case. 50. NieR August 12, 2016 I gave a number of my friends and some other online acquaintances a list of ten games that I was considering for my 50th platinum. They eventually chose for me to play NieR, and I'm glad they chose it. While the combat, sidequests, and graphics could be better, the characters and story are one of the very best on the system and getting Ending D should be a requirement to jump into the next game. The changing of genres in different areas is also a nice treat - the visual novel forest is one of my favorite parts. I always enjoy Laura Bailey calling Weiss a dumbass every time I turned on the game, too. 51. Gravity Rush Remastered August 12, 2016 Not much of a surprise that I would buy this and platinum it again after enjoying the game on the Vita. It was much easier this time around with the better controls. 52. Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma (Vita) August 12, 2016 ZTD is an interesting game. There's some good puzzle rooms, and it concludes the trilogy well. It's weird though - I liked both 999 and VLR a lot more than this, especially given the visual novel style of the past two. This changed things around a bit and I think it made it a bit worse. Junpei's personality change was also very bizarre - he's completely changed from his appearance from 999 and it makes little sense. 53. South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3) August 31, 2016 South Park! I've only watched a few episodes here and there but I've liked what I have watched. A RPG set within the series was a great idea, and I enjoyed my time with it. The only problem is there were way too many missable trophies (had to play through the game twice) and there was noticeable loading times and lag between areas (maybe that's gone in the PS4 version?). I will probably buy Fractured But Whole and enjoy it just as much (hopefully). 54. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book October 16, 2016 Back to the less serious Atelier games and not a real welcome back. I was extremely disappointed with Sophie overall as the Dusk trilogy was amazing and Sophie pretty much threw everything I liked about it out the window. It's this game that's currently preventing me from playing Firis because I feel like I'll just get disappointed again (and why I started to play the Dusk trilogy again on Vita). 55. Root Letter (Vita) November 19, 2016 A boring visual novel with a dumb protagonist, and a game that tries to be Phoenix Wright and fails miserably. The translation is so direct and bland that it looks like they made no effort to even make the game interesting. The weird thing is how the story changes depending on which ending route you're on, but it wasn't enough to save the game. I also got annoyed having to play through Chapter 8 so many times - a requirement to get some of the endings. At least I didn't have to play through the whole game! 56. No Man's Sky November 30, 2016 Despite all the negative press and reviews No Man's Sky got I actually enjoyed the game for what it was - a chill space exploration game. I didn't need a lot of the features that people were complaining about - the game was fine from launch and they're adding more content as it continues. I probably won't go back anytime soon but I don't think it's a bad game like everyone says. 57. Steins;Gate 0 (Vita) December 6, 2016 A worthy follow-up to Steins;Gate. After reading the original Steins;Gate at the beginning of the year, I was obviously going to preorder this and play it nonstop until I hit every ending. Again, most of it is spoilers and I think it's better off experienced. Obviously, either read the original VN or watch the anime beforehand, or it won't make sense. 58. Until Dawn December 30, 2016 Until Dawn is how you make a choice driven video game (take notes, Telltale). Almost every choice you make will change dialogue, environment, or something in the future and can cause various things to happen. It's a great horror game and while the DON'T MOVE sections can be a bit annoying (I pushed my controller against the floor so it wouldn't move) it's a well written story and I didn't mind going through it multiple times, once blind and the other two times for the everyone lives and everyone dies trophies. 59. Everyone's Gone to the Rapture January 5, 2017 It's odd the player character walks so slowly when something has obviously happened here. Why are you so slow? That's only one of the things I wondered while playing this game, which while interesting falls flat on its face during the ending. I even missed a collectable or item somewhere but the game gives you a one-item leeway on the completionist trophy. There's a lot better story driven games out there, and plenty more where you can run like a normal person would. 60. Life is Strange (PS4) March 10, 2017 The image is there, I promise. It's just very hard to see on some computers. I actually compared this game a lot to Steins;Gate while playing it and I think that gave me a negative opinion on the game. It doesn't deserve that - it's a very good story on it's own and the choices you make to change the series overall. It however falls into the typical Telltale mold near the end which annoyed me. Platinums #61-80 Spoiler 61. Final Fantasy XV March 27, 2017 The long awaited game finally arrived! I liked it a lot, actually. The open world section of the game is the best part - I enjoyed just exploring around and doing sidequests and hunts. Some dungeons were also interesting to explore. The game fell flat when they said "hey we need a story" and shoehorned one in at probably 20% finished. That was really weird and Chapter 13 is the low point of the game. However, it's still great to play through that open world and I just wish there was more of it. 62. Hitman GO April 10, 2017 A puzzler based on the Hitman franchise? It's better than you think. I solved every puzzle in the game without hints or looking up any solution, and was very amazed at how good the game was. Sure, the trophies are easy, but it's definitely worth a play through and is very satisfying when you finish a puzzle that's been taking you a long time to figure out. 63. Eiyuu Senki: The World Conquest April 19, 2017 Well, this was an odd one. Several heroes from all different time periods are all mixed up into one time period and your job is to conquer the world. Also, they're all women now (except Joan of Arc who already was one). I delayed on this a lot because I stalled at Shambhala - I had to refer to a GameFAQs guide to push myself through it. One weird thing about this game - the PSN platinum rarity is actually higher than the PSNProfiles one, which is almost always the other way around. 64. Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk May 16, 2017 64 and the pattern continues. The only thing that's different is the addition of a whole new task system, which includes fighting four superbosses. Two are pretty easy but Winged Master and the dragon are both complete annoyances, the former because he heals three times and the latter because he bans a very useful consumable. Still, nothing too bad and I enjoyed the soundtrack all over again. 65. Miracle Girls Festival May 24, 2017 I heard that this had the Miku gameplay so I decided to try it out despite watching zero of the animes featured in this game. I still enjoyed it for what it was. Maybe I'll watch one of them eventually. 66. Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed June 17, 2017 And the long Neptunia drought ends with Neptunia U brought to you by the Summer Backlog Challenge. It's nothing really special and has a lot of annoying lily rank trophies that found me running tower levels 1-11 over and over again. You can basically say it's Senran Kagura's gameplay placed in the Neptunia universe. Still, the dialogue is still funny and got me to start playing Neptunia games again. 67. Puyo Puyo Tetris July 2, 2017 Pop 100,000 puyos ahhhhhh The online wins were annoying too. I mainly did it by playing Big Bang with Puyos. Still, like most puzzle games, I found it really fun to play through the various modes. I was very tired of grinding puyos by the end though and just wanted it to finish. Also glad I didn't have to actually 100% story mode with the extra chapters added - some levels are almost impossible to 3-star. 68. Lara Croft GO July 14, 2017 After Hitman GO was very good, I tried this and was disappointed. The hidden items was a nice trick and some puzzles were difficult. I didn't expect the hint feature to be "do this and congrats you win the level" instead of giving a hint instead. Ultimately though I felt with only one objective in each map it lacked the depth Hitman GO had. 69. Day of the Tentacle Remastered July 15, 2017 A classic point and click adventure and a very good one, actually. The story has some very great humor and I enjoyed playing through and figuring out the solutions to each problem as it came across. There's an annoying amount of missable trophies, but a guide can help with that. 70. Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man August 2, 2017 It's Pac-Man! Not much else to say, the trophies are all pretty basic and require level 25, all fruits in a single play through, and eat all four ghosts four times in a stage. Nothing too difficult. 71. Atelier Escha & Logy Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky August 25, 2017 The best Atelier game, now in portable form with extra cutscenes. Aka the best version of the best Atelier game. Trophy list is the same as its PS3 counterpart. 72. NieR: Automata September 1, 2017 One of the best PS4 games. It's a shame 2B and 9S are not as interesting as Nier and Kaine were in the original game, otherwise I could have put this game ahead of the original. It gave vastly better combat and greatly improved sidequests while telling a story as insane as the original - the characters, however, leave a lot to be desired when Nier/Kaine/Weiss/Emil made a great party dynamic and a lot of great dialogue between the four. It's definitely a must play for anyone with a PS4 - but do play the original somehow because the many references to it in Automata are all really good. 73. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls September 4, 2017 Originally played it back in 2016 and beat the game, then put it down for over a year. Came back this month and got all the collectible trophies, A ranked all chapters, hit max level and purchased all the upgrades. While it does some things well, I didn't enjoy it and would not recommend playing it. 74. Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man September 23, 2017 It's almost the exact same list as Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man, with an easier fruit basket trophy (because of the random pretzel), a no warp trophy, and less items to eat. All in all it's an easier list to go through, but still fun to play. 75. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 October 12, 2017 It's amazing how much this series has changed since I played it back in July 2011, for my first trophy ever. That game was one of the worst games I've ever played to completion, and I probably would not have played another game in the series ever again had I not already owned the next one. I felt even though I disliked the original it's still my first trophy and I thought I should give the series a milestone platinum for that. If the few hours I've played of the PS4 game are as good as the rest of the game, this series has become one to look forward to in the future, which is something I never thought I would say about it. It's a great game, changes up the story just enough to make it a worthwhile play through even if you remember the original game. 76. Everybody's Golf (PS4) November 11, 2017 It's an enjoyable golf game through the five in-game courses, though it takes quite a while to get going and locks you to the first course for the first 5-10 hours. The platinum attaches a little grind with requirements consisting of 120 challenge tournaments, filling out the entire gallery, and completing the fish encyclopedia. The hardest part is getting all three condors (hole-in-one on a par 5), but it's more of a waiting game for the right conditions on a certain hole online. It took a few hours to grab all three under the ideal conditions. I'm interested in where Clap Hanz goes from here because the game has some problems that haven't been fixed and this game seems pretty expansive from their past titles. 77. Stories: The Path of Destinies November 26, 2017 It's an underrated indie RPG given out over PS+ last year, and I finally started and finished it over the last few months. It's got a neat battle system, many branching endings where choices matter, a narrator that constantly cracks jokes and comments on what you're doing, and a nice true ending to wrap up the story. The platinum requires a full run through all the possible endings and obtaining all skills by leveling up. Pretty simple overall, though the grind of going through 20+ endings can get tedious. 78. My Name is Mayo (PS4) December 7, 2017 I'm sure you know this game by now. 79. Wheels of Aurelia December 21, 2017 A pretty interesting visual novel/racing hybrid game. It stars a young woman named Lella driving up Italy's coastline to get to France, and has her talk with the many characters that can join her through the game. It has sixteen different endings with some annoying requirements, but each one is different enough that it doesn't feel like a chore to get to all of them. I enjoyed some of the dialogue options and you can have some very long dialogue chains based on the answers you provide, some of which lead to special endings. It's about four hours to get all the endings (I took a break in the middle of it) and I recommend it to anyone looking for a short narrative game to play through. 80. Grim Fandango Remastered December 29, 2017 A very good point and click adventure, better than the other game I played from Tim Schafer this year (Day of the Tentacle). I especially liked the fact that the platinum requires you to get a lot of optional dialogue and fleshes out the characters a bit more than if you just played the game normally. Almost all the trophies require talking to a person more than you would need to for story progression, and one trophy even requires doing some events out of the normal order to get an item earlier than needed. I highly recommend playing this game, more than Day of the Tentacle. Since it was on PS+ you probably already have it! Platinums #81-100 Spoiler 81. Blue Reflection January 6, 2018 The first of my Kill Your Completion games to be finished, and probably the last until I get back to Atelier Firis since the other three games are all 60+ hour platinums. It's definitely up there as one of the easiest JRPGs I've ever played, as even on hard mode there was barely any challenge in anything the game threw at me except the very last side mission in the game. It's a nice story and characters overall, which is good since you'll be spending a good deal of time getting all the bond event trophies with everyone. There's nothing special in the platinum besides crafting all items, and while there is a guide you can find all recipes just by entering every room and area in the game (which takes about 3 minutes with fast travel) and going home at least once every chapter. This will unlock all the "secret" item recipe quests. 82. Life is Strange: Before the Storm January 21, 2018 Even with the voice actor changes (it's not really a big deal overall), it's still an enjoyable adventure through Arcadia Bay that showcases the beginning of the relationship between Chloe Price and Rachel Amber, which is only referenced in the original game. Unfortunately it doesn't do much other than that and I was hoping to find out more about Rachel leading up to more of the events that Chloe talks about in the first game, but it doesn't go that far. Still, I highly recommend it if you liked the first game at all. Also, the platinum image isn't completely transparent like the last one! 83. My Name is Mayo (Vita) February 4, 2018 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 84. Persona 5 (PS4) April 1, 2018 My game of the year for 2017, and with good reason. Definitely the best combat system, confidants/social links, and music than any other Persona game. I could listen to Rivers in the Desert or Last Surprise for hours (and I definitely did over the course of two play throughs). Most of the confidants/social links in Persona 5 are some of the best in the entire series, such as Iwai's and Toranosuke's links. I also liked making the game closer to the main Shin Megami Tensei series and having the Shadows be the demons in the main series instead of random stuff in previous titles (and I do like demon negotiation despite its quirks). I feel that it makes it easy to remember certain weaknesses after playing the games for a long time. I played this game for over 125 hours to the middle of the final dungeon in my second play through, and I still was enjoying playing through it. An absolute must play for anyone who likes RPGs, as this one is one of the top Japanese RPGs ever released. Also for me, it's the final memory of my old house, as I moved out the next day. It's a pretty good memory, all things considered. 85. PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness April 9, 2018 No idea what I was getting into here since I had never heard of Psycho-Pass prior to playing this, so I knew nothing about the setting or characters - though now I'm pretty interested in watching the anime later on. The platinum is a pretty standard VN list of progressing down a number of routes, collecting all the true endings, and seeing all the CGs. It would be a lot better if a lot of the content was different, but it basically boils down to only a few scenes different in each route while the rest of the story stays relatively the same. It's still enjoyable to read through, but it does wear on you after a number of times going through the same events, which is why I took a few weeks between the two characters' routes. The last ending was a nice surprise though as it actually does something different with the story for one last twist, which is definitely welcome. 86. Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash April 21, 2018 I do like the platinum image here, but the game is not good. Its gacha-based level up system creates a hassle in leveling up any of your skill cards, weapons, or characters, which is what makes the game fun in the first place. It takes way too long to get to a point where the game is actually fun to play. At least I have all the NA Senran Kagura platinums again (except Estival PS4, which I'm not going to buy the same game again) so that's something. Well, until the Burst PS4 remake comes out. 87. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (Vita) April 26, 2018 I found the game to be a pretty solid platformer, all things considered. Initially, when I was playing through the first few levels I was not very interested in the game and did not play much of it for a long time. Once I unlocked more of Sly's abilities, though, I started to enjoy more of the game, just enjoying the exploration aspect and using the new abilities to their best advantage. The boss battles also improved the further I got in, except for Panda King who is probably the easiest of the five. Mz. Ruby's boss fight was probably my favorite because I do enjoy a rhythm base battle even in a platformer like this one. Only annoyance in the game were the two races, they took up more time on the two than any other level in the game, and I definitely wasn't a fan of the controls. I do not know when I will continue the series from here - I have not heard very positive things about the other games in the trilogy, unfortunately. 88. Cosmic Star Heroine (Vita) May 3, 2018 Pretty cool platinum displaying the logo of the game. This game is a nice throwback towards many 16-bit RPGs, you can see a bit of Chrono Trogger and Phantasy Star influences as you play through the game. I haven't played much of the Phantasy Star series myself, but I did enjoy Chrono Trigger back on the SNES so playing this game was a no-brainer. I contributed to its kickstarter a long time ago, got the PS4 version, and sat on it while I waited for the Vita version to release, which it finally did last week. I think it's the perfect game for the Vita and definitely doesn't overstay its welcome. The platinum also has you explore fully a few more areas than usual for sidequests and bonus bosses which can be quite challenging on higher difficulties (I played on the second highest difficulty except for the first battle). I also enjoyed the many references to Zeboyd Games' past titles, since I also played through Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World on my PC (and found them to be enjoyable as well). 89. Pic-a-Pix Color (Vita) May 8, 2018 One of my favorite genres to play through in video games are definitely puzzle games, and Picross is one of my favorites in the genre. The best game so far I've found is Picross 3D: Round 2, which used a similar color mechanic (two colors, blue and orange) to form the shape. Here in Pic-a-Pix Color, multiple colors are used in each puzzle to form a 2D shape, and each color used is noted on the sides of the puzzle. The difference here is that while Picross 3D: Round 2 integrated it in a way that still made the puzzles challenging, Pic-a-Pix Color happens to make many of the puzzles easier. When there's only 5 lines that have a black color and you have a black 5 to place, it doesn't take much thought to place it down, for instance. Many colors can be eliminated this way in a lot of the puzzles, which diminishes the challenge a bit. Still, the game is pretty solid with 150 puzzles, giving one a good 10-12 hours of Picross to play through. 90. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory May 13, 2018 I'm not really sure why this game took me five years to finish. I did get burned out for a while after trying to play through the entire trilogy within a few months, but I just... never went back to it after getting the Normal Ending. Not too bad of a game though it does require a lot of grinding for both the platinum and to progress in the game, but it all finally got finished. Will probably move on to the PS4 game now that this is finally finished. 91. Devious Dungeon (Vita) May 13, 2018 Another short game that's perfect for the Vita, this is a nice indie dungeon crawler/action RPG hybrid. Only sixty-five levels of a randomly generated dungeon to go through, but it's perfect when you just need something simple to play. Platinum is very easy (just beat the game with a handful of random collection trophies mixed in), though I beat it too quickly and didn't get the amount of resurrections or keys needed for all of the collection trophies. A few more levels and deaths took care of that after beating the game and seeing the ending. 92. Devious Dungeon (PS4) June 17, 2018 Not as fun going through it again and I'm not a fan of playing it on the PS4 as opposed to the Vita. It's not the only game that I got through THL that has a separate PS4 platinum, and I'll get to the other one at some point as well. 93. MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies June 23, 2018 It's definitely a lot more polished than its predecessor (Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed) was and it's a lot more enjoyable to play through than that game. The story is also a lot more enjoyable - the title makes it seems like a horror game but it's actually more of a comedy as the Neptunia characters stumble through making a zombie movie. It's nice to see a lot of the characters throughout the series actually appearing under one game even if it is a spinoff - Dengekiko, Famitsu, Plutia, Peashy, and Uzume are all playable in this. The platinum isn't difficult at all, either; there's no grinding out lily ranks like the trophy in Neptunia U, instead the only frustration might be from grinding out the treasures, since some bosses have a low drop rate on the items needed. It shouldn't take more than an extra few hours afterwards, though. Overall, it's a pretty enjoyable spinoff. 94. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone DX June 26, 2018 The trophy list for this one though considers only the songs that were released as DLC originally since the original version had trophies regarding the rest of the songs. Since there were only 15 songs that needed to be played, this platinum did not take long at all. I think I had more problems navigating the menu and figuring out how to place stickers than actually playing the rhythm game. 95. XBlaze Code: Embryo July 8, 2018 They could at least have changed it to Congratulations instead, as is it just looks weird. Anyway, this isn't a very good visual novel. The main character is ridiculously annoying and makes some of the most bonehead decisions ever, and you aren't even given any choices to stop him from doing so. The game is supposed to be connected to BlazBlue's story but there is a very loose connection with Es' appearance and a few ancestors of some BlazBlue characters, but that's really it. The Grimoire in this game is apparently not even the same one that Ragna has, so I'm not sure what even is the point of this game even existing. Perhaps the sequel will shed a bit more light on this, but to be honest I'm not too excited about starting it after how lackluster this was. 96. Pic-A-Pix Color [PS4] July 15, 2018 The other version is still in this section, so I don't need to go through it again. It's picross, the colors make it easier, etc. Not too much to say about it again. 97. Word Search by POWGI August 30, 2018 He looks happy. It's exactly as it says in its title: a word search game. 324 puzzles and really a good game to just relax and play through. Nothing special overall, but I enjoyed my time with it. Not sure if I'll play the PS4 version too since I used the touch screen for 100% of the words and it would seem odd to use a controller. A game like this was made for a touch screen like the 3DS and Vita have. 98. Muv-Luv September 2, 2018 Muv-Luv Extra, the first half, is just not a really good game. It's a pretty basic dating sim and everyone is pretty much a walking stereotype of some anime cliche. Took me a good few weeks just to get through the first route and then another five to push through the rest despite skipping all the already-seen dialogue. Muv-Luv Unlimited, the second half, is much different and sacrifices most of the dating sim elements to actually craft a much better story and is more interesting overall. Most of the routes in Unlimited are exactly the same with only minor differences, but that's the trade off, I guess. I actually enjoyed this half of the story compared to Extra and went through the whole thing in a few days. Obviously Unlimited left me with a lot more questions about what is going on, so I assume these will be answered once I read Alternative. Going to have to free some space on my Vita for this as it's well over 3 GB for Alternative while Muv-Luv is around 2.2 total. Though I kind of want to get my 100th platinum beforehand because I feel like when I start Alternative I'm not going to want to play anything else until I hit the ending there. 99. Muv-Luv Alternative September 16, 2018 What more can be said about this visual novel that already hasn't been said? It's truly a work of art that takes all the events one experienced in both Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited and then repeatedly smacks you multiple times over the course of the second half of the story, with chapter 7 being the biggest emotional highlight and probably the best chapter overall. It's a shame that it requires another twenty-five hours in a much lesser visual novel to get the full effect here. Still, if you have the chance, I highly recommend it after you play through the original game. It's definitely one of the best visual novels I've ever read, up there with Steins;Gate, and it will definitely not disappoint. 100. Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland October 7, 2018 It's been quite the journey to reach one hundred platinum trophies on PSN. I decided to make the milestone special by going back to where it all began with platinum #1 - the original Atelier Rorona. Almost seven years ago now at this point. Having completed many games even before I got a PlayStation 3 made it easy to start hunting platinum trophies when I finally did get one. I also lined up this trophy perfectly so it would also be my 7,000th trophy - a double milestone. I doubt I would have thought seven years ago that I would ever get close to this point - certainly since it took me almost two years to hit ten platinum trophies. Replaying this again made me get hooked on Atelier games again. I can easily lose hours into any of the Ateliers from the PS3. Even with the many playthroughs I've played through Rorona already with the original and this game (I only did a second playthrough of this to get the platinum - the original playthrough of this Plus version was back in 2014) I still managed to get hooked and finally find ways to beat the superbosses required for this platinum. I also managed to have all the endings queued up at the end of the regular story, something I never managed to do with the original game. Now though, it's time to head towards two hundred platinum trophies, and hopefully it won't take seven years this time. Platinums #101-120 Spoiler 101. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3) October 14, 2018 If only the game were as polished as the platinum trophy looks. I don't know why I bothered to play through this game twice, because it's still not very fun. Anyway, it took only about a hour to finish the online with all the people trying to also get the online out of the way. Didn't even need to boost anything except Friendly Competition, as most people on my friends list have finished it and deleted it. Arcade is a waste of thirty minutes as always. 102. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory November 6, 2018 It's a shame they didn't change the trophy image, as it's the same as the first game's platinum. Well, whatever. The game itself focuses on an alternative set of characters while elaborating more on some characters that didn't get as much screentime in the original game. I didn't find the overall storyline that exciting though and I think that's why it took me a while to push onward in this, while I beat the original in a much shorter timeframe. It's more of the sidequests that get more interesting as you complete them, which is also a similarity to the original. Speaking of the original game, both games have the exact same battle system with no differences that I noted (piercing skills have some defense now but it isn't a big issue). If you liked that game, you'll probably like this one! My main problem and why it took so long was the hacker's rank grind - I was Hacker Rank 13 when I restarted and had to play through two thirds of the game just to push it up to 20 for the trophy. Luckily with the Acceleration and High Security hacker skills to boost movement speed and eliminate random encounters made it not take more than 15 hours total, though it was still very annoying to go through everything again. 103. Word Sudoku by POWGI November 24, 2018 It's a collection of 240 Sudoku puzzles, unlike regular Sudoku it uses words instead of numbers (but you can switch it to numbers if you want) and each one of the 240 puzzles is based on a single word. For the platinum you only have to complete 50 of the 240 puzzles, but I did all 240 anyway because I enjoy Sudoku puzzles. There's not much else to be said about this one! 104. MUSYNX (Vita) December 9, 2018 MUSYNX is a rhythm game by the Chinese developer I-Inferno, and is similar to the DJMAX series in which you have four or six lanes of notes moving towards the bottom of the screen in sync with the music. I've been playing a lot of DJMAX Respect over the year so it seemed like a good fit to start, though it took a while to complete because of a few annoying trophies. Overall, the game itself has some great tracks and is a lot of fun. I have a few complaints, though - the Vita version is very badly ported and has a tendency to crash often when loading things. That happened way too many times for my liking. The game also has a few tracks that have the speed of the notes switch randomly without warning during the song, which makes it annoying to full combo said tracks. So if you decide to pick it up, I recommend the PS4 version, unless you're going to stack the platinum, of course. 105. Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version (Vita) December 16, 2018 This is an interesting one because at the time I played through most of it, I wasn't sure I would be able to finish it. I was stuck with only seven Oni songs cleared and the trophy requires thirteen (actually twenty-five, but playing on Shin-Uchi mode allows you to make each song count twice). After playing the PS4 Taiko game I was able to clear this one off for good. I delayed it a bit to make it line up for the Vita Anniversary community event, coinciding with the Vita's anniversary in Japan on December 17th (though it was still December 16th in my time zone, it was the 17th in Japan). I really enjoyed the tracklist from this one, especially the Falcom songs and the varied Vocaloid tracks that didn't make it into future games. It seems when Sega made Project DIVA X they took all the Vocaloid tracks present here and put them in that game for some reason as well. 106. Persona 4: Dancing All Night (PS4) December 19, 2018 Since I already did it on the Vita it was a pretty simple task to finish that I fell asleep while playing at one point. The story is just very boring, but I love the music which is an important part for any rhythm game. Still, with Taiko, DJMAX, and Miku sporting 60+ tracks in their rhythm games compared to this game's small amount, it's definitely lacking overall. Getting the collection with the Amazon price error ($60 for all three) makes it somewhat worth the money at least, but that's not available for everyone. I think this should be picked up in a sale once one comes around. 107. XBlaze Lost: Memories (PS3) December 27, 2018 Earlier this year I completed XBlaze Code: Embryo for my 95th platinum and wondered why the game existed when the connection with BlazBlue was so pointless. This kind of fixed that as some of the characters from the series are actually a major part of this story. However, it's annoying that 80% of this game is either a really bad dungeon crawler or a retelling of the first game from a different perspective, which makes no sense whatsoever. It does gives a nice epilogue to this mini-series and connects it back to the series it spawned from, which is a nice surprise. Though I felt that the first 80% was so bad I might have just considered it the worst game I played this year, but the ending really helped in that regard, so it's not that bad of a game, it just takes a little too long to get to the important parts. 108. Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight December 29, 2018 Looks like they just took the Japanese platinum and didn't change it for the NA/EU release. Well, whatever. Most of the changes from Persona 4's rhythm game are very welcome here: the social events are much better than the story mode in P4's game, and there's no need to grind credits as all unlocks come from that mode. I also like the card hunts, though I got stuck on Ken's last one. Did not expect a card there. Still, like its predecessor, the number of tracks is way too low and there's too many remixes (good ones, but that just adds to the number of repeats). When this game can pull tracks from Persona 3, FES, P3P, P4 Arena, P4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona Q, there's really no need to have that many repeat tracks in the game. 109. Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight December 31, 2018 Basically, the same things I said for the Persona 3 platinum apply here, the trophy lists are exact copies of each other. And the fact that this game could only pull tracks from one game means the amount of remixes increased, and sadly these remixes are not as good as the original songs they are based on, though that shows why Persona 5's OST is one of the best of this console generation. Good thing a lot of the original tracks are still in as well. 110. 428: Shibuya Scramble January 6, 2019 Anyway, the game is mostly spoiler territory, so I'll keep this short. It starts off with a rookie police detective assigned to a kidnapping / ransom case, but eventually becomes a lot more than that with a former gang leader, a journalist, a laboratory head and a girl trapped in a cat suit joining the detective as main characters. All of them are heading through Shibuya, and your task is to make sure they all stay alive and on track towards the end of the game. Easily this is one of the best VNs I've read and the localization is fantastic as well. Definitely a great pick up for any VN fans, shame that it isn't on the Vita (but you can always remote play it!) 111. Fill-A-Pix: Phil's Epic Adventure February 22, 2019 Fill-A-Pix has you recreate black and white pictures from various locales such as France, Italy, and Japan by using a grid. Each number in the grid corresponds to how many tiles the 3x3 square around it (including itself) should be colored in. Basically, after filling in all the 9s (as well as the 6s on the side and 4s in the corner) and crossing out all the 0s, there should be a few moves to get the puzzle solved. Some of the pictures can take a long time though - I once spent over two hours trying to solve one. I decided that I would get the miscellaneous trophies out of the way early and then just play the way I wanted, which was much more fun overall. Definitely a fun little puzzler and good to just pick up and play once in a while, which I have been doing for the last few months. 112. One Word by POWGI February 22, 2019 I've played several POWGI games but this one is clearly not worth the price. You solve for various famous quotes using a word search that has only the one word in it. So if you're looking for the word SAVE, a word search would only have the letters S, A, V and E and there would be only one instance of SAVE that you need to find. There's 120 quotes with multiple words to find in each, and while I did every single one the platinum only requires 32. It's the very definition of a one-hour platinum, and not worth the purchase price of $8. The quality of this game is also why I haven't bought the latest POWGI game either. 113. Reverie February 22, 2019 Reverie is a game that crosses a story based on a New Zealand legend, the combat and dungeon style of the GBC Zelda titles, and the art style of EarthBound, and makes it work very well. You play as Tai, a young boy who is on vacation on Toromi Island, a small fictional island in New Zealand. A number of restless spirits threaten to destroy the island, and your job is to quell the spirits and save its inhabitants. The game features five dungeons (and one bonus dungeon, but it's all combat) with some interesting puzzles, especially in the final dungeon. Some of the puzzles in the final dungeon are definitely on par with some of the hard ones in Oracle of Ages, which is a nice surprise to its difficulty (sadly, the other four dungeons don't have much in the way of interesting puzzles). Though with only the five dungeons available, it's over in quite a flash and there's not too much of a world map to explore - the world map hides its collectibles well, but there's not many places for them to be with the game's size. I still enjoyed my time with it and am now looking forward to the remake of Link's Awakening that was announced recently. 114. Pic-a-Pix Pieces February 23, 2019 It's an expanded version of the other Picross game I played on the Vita last year, called Pic-a-Pix Color. This one has you completing multiple puzzles (6, 12 or 24) to create a single picture. Still a lot of fun, like most Picross games, but I have the same problem as I do with Pic-a-Pix Color - the colors added to the puzzle make it far too easy compared to a regular picross puzzle. However, the amount of content in this one is massive and will keep you entertained for a while - at least 30 hours of picross solving and is definitely worth the $8 price tag. 115. Word Search by POWGI [PS4] February 24, 2019 Played the Vita version earlier in 2018, and then started this for the TrueTrophies Twelve Days of Christmas 2018 challenge because I needed a few trophies that were exactly 12 characters long and this game had a good five of them, so it was a good boost. I actually miss the silly puns this game has - the other POWGI games are much more boring without them. 116. Jump Force March 31, 2019 I enjoyed my time with this game, though I can say honestly that it has serious flaws and I would not recommend it to others. It's clear that they put the graphics first and foremost (and everything does look really very good), and skimped on everything else - boring storyline, easily exploitable AI, online lobby system that make little sense, and very basic gameplay overall. I never actually learned how to guard an attack, and I still managed to clear the entire game. Though it was nice to get the Defying Limits missions at the time so I could easily grind up the needed gold for the King of Coin trophy. Apparently they weren't in the game closer to release. 117. Conan Exiles April 4th, 2019 Look, I tried. This game is a buggy piece of trash on the PS4. I can barely read any of the text, and had to get up off the couch and sit in front of the TV to read everything. Trying to climb up on the foundation to crush my friend took many tries. Getting the blacksmith on the wheel of pain simply didn't work for a few minutes. And then the guide to get the last trophy on the mountain peaks led me inside a rock. Literally inside a rock. I eventually used a different peak to pop the last trophy. Either use the exploit or don't play this game at all. You'll just be frustrating yourself unnecessarily. 118. Steins;Gate [PS3] April 27, 2019 I got Steins;Gate Elite recently, but I needed a good refresher course on the story before delving into Linear Bound Phenogram. Could have played Elite itself, but there was already a gate on my trophy list. It is still my favorite visual novel. Nothing much has changed. I waited a bit to pop it for the 8,000th trophy milestone, so it's tied to my profile now ? 119. Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal April 29, 2019 Having played the original 3DS version of this game (which is a 2D sidescroller instead of the 3D game this is), I felt it was a decent remake. However, there's a lot less side missions compared to the original game, which is disappointing overall. Also, I felt the battles in each school's mission 5-8 were made slightly easier - I could not do the battle on Hanzo's side in the 3DS version and never got that far. I did find the powered up enemies found on various stages to be a good challenge too, even the first one - the pst.org guide said to skip it and come back later, but it was easy enough to beat on my first run through. 120. Pic-a-Pix Classic May 19, 2019 Instead of the other games in the series (Color and Deluxe), there's no gimmicks here and just 150 basic picross puzzles ranging from 5x5 to 30x20. It was on sale for $4 on PSN so I decided to pick it up. Not much else to say about it! Platinums #121-140 Spoiler 121. Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds May 27, 2019 I love historical-based games and this game was definitely a treat to play through. Ignoring the fact that it's only half of a game and I need to play Edo Blossoms as well to get the full story, this game blends the historical significance of the Shinsengumi at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate with a supernatural element that gets explained as the game progresses. While the first few routes were rather underwhelming overall, the latter routes, mainly Kazama's route and the new routes added in Kyoto Winds, are very interesting and has the protagonist take more of a stand for herself than the other routes. While I'm not going to start Edo Blossoms for part 2 right now, I'm definitely looking forward to it when I do get there. 122. Mixups by POWGI June 6, 2019 I thought One Word was the worst POWGI game due to how braindead easy it was, but this one is probably even worse than that. I find that a lot of the words in each category do not match the subject matter, there's a misspelling on one of the later puzzles, and the hints don't help as much as it could. For one example, I know nothing about cheeses and even putting the letters into a word unscrambler gave me nothing in the end. As such, this is the first POWGI game I did not complete 100%, and will probably refrain from buying any of them later on. 123. Cosmic Star Heroine [PS4] June 13, 2019 Started this for the Trophy Hunters League at some point when I needed a few quick trophies, and it's short enough to still be enjoyable on a replay. Since I mainly used Dave and Lauren in my first time through, I decided to sit them for most of the game and use other characters. It was unexpected to see so many trophy glitches, forcing me to kill several bonus bosses and the final boss multiple times before their trophies would actually pop. Pretty rare that the Vita version has less glitches than the PS4 version, but I guess that extra year of development helped. 124. Shenmue HD June 30, 2019 Started this for TrueTrophies' birthday challenge last year. Shenmue is truly a product of its time. While a revolutionary game when it first was released (as I've been told, since I never owned a Dreamcast), several games by now have already improved on what it first introduced. And now, the clunky controls, laughable voice acting, and inability to progress time quickly to trigger events is a pretty large annoyance when playing. It still was an overall enjoyable experience for me, as the story and characters kept me going until the end. I also liked the battle system a bit as more moves unlocked, but some of the combos were very difficult to pull off. 125. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age July 7, 2019 An amazing JRPG, and one of the best in its series (though I still think V is a better game). Having the forge and balancing the game to actually make a Dragon Quest game that doesn't require grinding for equipment or EXP is new to me, as the last few games I played (VI and IX) both required too much for my tastes. I will admit that the story did take me a while to get hooked, but when Act II started I was locked in for the long haul. I knew when the story opened up like that it was a great choice for my 125th milestone platinum. Clocked in at just around eighty hours, which seems about right. It'll be cool to play as the Luminary in Smash as well. 126. Fill-a-Pix: Phil's Epic Adventure [PS4] July 14, 2019 I have nothing else to say besides the fact that the PS4 version is definitely the better version for giving you a more expanded viewpoint on the puzzle, which on average made me take less time on each puzzle than I did on the Vita version. Seems like an odd design choice, as when you remote play the title on the Vita, the puzzle is still easily readable from that view. Still an enjoyable game with plenty of puzzles to keep one busy for around twenty-five hours. 127. Nurse Love Addiction July 21, 2019 I expected this to be some yuri slice-of-life visual novel that I was just playing as a funny joke for KYC 10. For about the first four hours, it does play as if it was the above, but then the game takes a dramatic genre shift. It's similar to what happens in Hatoful Boyfriend, which also got a similar rating from me over at vndb. Though I started with the normal ending as I stated in KYC 10 (and got no answers to the mystery there), I really enjoyed getting all of the endings and uncovering different parts of the storyline, even if some of the bad endings got very disturbing extremely fast, depending on basically what amounts to a single choice in the end. There's one route that does not have any connection to the others though and is understandably weaker, but overall the game surprised me and I'm interested to see if the other game in the series is similar. 128. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition August 18, 2019 A four player co-op run all the way to the end, a few DLC runs and about ten hours of grinding up levels gets me this platinum. Looking at my list you'll see very little in the way of WRPGs - too many of them are shooters (like this one) and I am completely terrible at anything resembling a FPS - though with the second wind mechanic in Borderlands this is less of an issue, I think. Also, playing with four people made the game much more enjoyable than if I played it by myself - however the breakneck speed means I missed out on some story bits. Not that it matters, the story of Borderlands 1 is very simple. Nothing really special for the platinum, just need to make a character of each class to use their class skill, play and beat a boss with friends, and hit level 50 in addition to obviously beating the game. I opted for the siren for the co-op run, and we ended up with two soldiers and a berserker in addition to myself. Too bad for the hunter, huh? 129. Burly Men at Sea August 25, 2019 An interesting little adventure game with a few branching paths leading out to twelve different endings. The thing unique about this game as it will constantly reference back to your previous plays through the game, so the dialogue will adapt and change as you go for all the endings. I had one bug where the button presses just stopped working, but a restart fixed it. Not a bad way to spend two hours with this title from PS+. 130. One Word by POWGI [PS4] August 31, 2019 It's a stack. Nothing else to say here. 131. Tacoma September 15, 2019 If you've been looking through the downloaded games - backlog section a few times, you probably noticed this just sitting on the list for a while, for really no reason at all. I just never got to it. It's made by the same company who made Gone Home (which I also played through), and I feel that the game this time around is much more intriguing than Gone Home ever was, and it makes one actually care about the characters aboard the station as you listen in on what has happened within the past few days. My only complaint is that the game does feel too short - the full game is less than two hours long and it would be more intriguing if the game was extended a bit (no, the trophies don't extend the gameplay much at all either). As such, I recommend picking it up in a sale, as $20 is way overpriced for such a game. 132. Pic-a-Pix Color 2 September 15, 2019 Another day, another Pic-a-Pix. Like the first game, the added colors make the picross puzzles easier, but since this is the 2nd Pic-a-Pix Color, they removed the silly 5x5 puzzles and replaced them with actual ones, giving it more playtime overall. 150 puzzles for $4 (was on a 50% off sale, which is still going on) was a decent price for the play time. Perfect game to just relax a bit with the Vita. 133. The Silver Case HD September 22, 2019 A remaster of one of Suda51's first games. The story, atmosphere, and soundtrack are all top-notch and deserve the praise it gets. The real divisive part of the game is its controls - when it isn't dealing out dialogue, it has a very outdated control scheme that is very out of place these days. A lot of time spent in this mode could have been better if the game was remade or it was just replaced with all text. Not a big fan of the ending either, but hopefully the sequel solves that problem. There's definitely a sequel hook added into this new version with an extra chapter to bridge the gap between this game and the 25th Ward. Which I have purchased and will definitely play at some point, as I'm interested into how this continues. 134. Full Throttle Remastered October 5, 2019 After playing all three of Double Fine's remasters of these classic adventure games from LucasArts, it's clear that while this is the weakest of the three titles, it's still a solid game though a bit on the short side, especially compared to both Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango. I also wasn't much of a fan of the biker gang fights near the middle of the game, where I had many problems winning until the chainsaw came up. Nevertheless, the story here is the highlight of the game, and it's told very well over its short length. 135. Word Sudoku by POWGI [PS4] October 7, 2019 I think the TrueTrophies score challenge was interesting at first, but it definitely needed better planning. 136. Pic-a-Pix Color 2 [PS4] October 9, 2019 Challenges shouldn't be about who can pop the most Ratalaikas in a week, it even goes against what TT's site is about, really. 137. Mixups by POWGI [PS4] October 11, 2019 From what the last bonus is they seem to be trending in the correct direction at the end, but it remains to be seen what happens next year. 138. Gravity Duck [PS4] October 14, 2019 I hope I can actually enjoy the games I'm playing in the next contest, unlike this soulless VVVVVV clone that I played basically just for trophies. 139. Crossovers by POWGI October 18, 2019 This game has one complete some mini-crosswords with the correct letter from a choice of four, then using the correct letters in a word jumble with a clue. Some of the clues are very clever and takes a while to find what the word actually is. I can't believe I got stuck on ANIMAL of all words >_>. As dumb as the jokes are that you get when solving a puzzle, I actually laughed at a good number of them. Glad they brought those back from Word Search. 140. Pic-a-Pix Classic [PS4] October 19, 2019 More GTTSC cleanup stacks. Platinums #141-160 Spoiler 141. Crossovers by POWGI [PS4] October 22, 2019 And one more GTTSC cleanup stack. 142. Antiquia Lost October 24, 2019 Antiquia Lost is an incredibly basic RPG in every sense of the word. You have a MC from a small village who also has a unique power, a number of party members from across the world, and it pretty much ends up as you would expect it to. The battle system is a turn-based system, and it's just as easy to break as it is to play through it. I played on the hardest difficulty through most of the game since without doing so, there wasn't much challenge otherwise. I will give the game credit for introducing a character that doesn't level up naturally and instead levels up based on gems that can be dropped by enemies, found in chests, or purchased, but that just introduced another way to break the game - at the end she had all her stats at 9999 when none of the other characters were close even at level 900. Regardless of all this, I still enjoyed my time with the game. Perfect game to just pick up and play on the Vita. 143. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus November 7, 2019 Bought this as a joke because one of my friends had bought the PS4 version a few years ago and figured it would be funny to play through (and that was a complete mistake). Finally finished it after luckily stumbling across a biweekly event that gave triple owner EXP for all completed playthroughs, making it trivial to get the trophy that requires owner level 50. Vita version is a laughable mess as hair clips through everything, including solid rock and the characters' bodies themselves. It's clear the developers had something else on their minds, obviously. 144. One Piece: Pirate Warriors November 17, 2019 Finally got the last coin that has eluded me for so long for my 144th platinum and 9,000th trophy, a nice milestone. I started this game in November 2012, and the last trophy before getting this one? December 2013. Back then I had only 14 platinum trophies. The one coin needed for all these years was Chopper's Mark (New) which simply refused to drop for over 25 hours of in-game time, until it finally did today after playing Main Log - 11 for over three hours. It was just waiting for the RNG to finally get to this - and I've seen people who have played 60 hours, even over 100 hours trying to get a certain coin to drop. Final time on my save file is 52:10, well over the estimated platinum time on playstationtrophies' guide, which states 35 hours. Maybe I can finally move on to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 now - but I'll save that for a later date. Not in the mood right now. 145. Shenmue II HD November 24, 2019 Same platinum image as its predecessor, kinda boring. It's still a very dated series and freeze QTEs are the worst thing in existence, but this game has a lot more fights spread out over the full length of the game and the plot is much more in focus than the first game, so the pacing seems a lot better off and it's more interesting to play through. There's a few missables similar to the first game's trophy list, as well as playing all the arcade games (one being in a random room in the final dungeon!?) and learning 15 attack skills. Luckily, you're given a ton of $ at the end so you can just buy a whole bunch of move scrolls from the shops in Kowloon, though I had 13 already by the time I got there. I did lose a few hours of progress and had to repeat the final dungeon and boss due to a few second power outage, but it wasn't too big of a deal in the end. 146. Reverie [PS4] December 8, 2019 The last GTTSC stack that needed to be completed. It's finally over. 147. AI: The Somnium Files January 1, 2020 AI: The Somnium Files is the latest visual novel/adventure game from Kotaro Uchikoshi, more well-known from his work on the Infinity series and the Zero Escape series. Given that I've read both Ever17 and the entire Zero Escape series, this purchase was a no-brainer and I enjoyed it more than any of his other titles. There's not much I can say without getting into spoilers and the game is much better when left unspoiled. The dialogue in-game is great and actually had me laughing many times, despite some of the jokes falling really flat when it shows Date being perverted which happens a little too much than I would like. Other than that, it's a very exciting story with plenty of twists, like many of Uchikoshi's stories. Definitely check it out of you're a fan of his other games, and it's a good starting point if you haven't tried any of them. 148. YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World February 8, 2020 YU-NO is one of the most influential visual novels of all time with its original Japanese release date all the way back in 1996, and we only got it overseas 23 years after that. Being a visual novel, the game's all about its story, and while it definitely has a good first half, the second half dramatically switches genres and turns out worse overall. There's still a good amount of twists still contained within the story, but I wasn't as invested with it after that point. I also was not a fan of the ending either, but that might just be a personal preference. The platinum doesn't require much, but all actual endings and a random story path are both locked until you actually beat the game, so it does take a while to uncover everything the game has to offer. 149. WorldEnd Syndrome (EU) February 10, 2020 The game starts out extremely slow. The original route, as well as the first three character routes, are all incredibly boring and turned me off from the game for a good portion of the time. It didn't help that I dislike the high school setting the game takes place in, even if it is during summer break. When you have glacial pacing that rivals the pacing in Ever17, there's definitely a problem. However, I eventually stuck with it, and after that, it starts to open up later on in the next few routes leading up to the big Truth reveal. Honestly, while some of the reveals definitely surprised me, I'm still not convinced. The game is merely average overall, and trying to find hidden events for various trophy requirements is also pretty annoying. Played the EU version as I wanted a physical copy of the game, and there was no physical copy in NA. 150. MLB The Show 18 February 24, 2020 A fitting milestone for my 150th platinum, celebrating my other biggest hobby and one that I've been doing even longer than I've been playing video games. My dad took me to my first baseball game at age 4 and I've been a Yankees fan since then (if you couldn't tell from these checklist updates already, haha), so what better way to celebrate a milestone by getting a platinum in the game with Aaron Judge on the cover art. At the very least, this is one of the easier MLB The Show platinum trophies to obtain given how all of the other MLB The Show have UR platinums, but this one is just very rare instead. Still a nice milestone for me and I enjoy having a baseball platinum finally on my platinum list. 151. The Sims 4 March 4, 2020 I did sink many hours into the original Sims when I was a teenager, and I see that the core gameplay has barely moved three versions down the road. This game has horrific lag though, and I cannot understand how anyone could suffer though this to get the platinum legitimately - props to the people who actually did before it sank out of Ultra Rare territory. There's not much else to say about this one. 152. Crystar March 9, 2020 After placing this at #5 in my top 10 games list for 2019 I finally pushed through the grinding part to get the platinum. The main two parts of the trophy hunt after you beat the game are to level to 99 (just takes a few boss rushes, I was easily killing 50+ bosses most of the time) and to defeat every named enemy three times. This can get annoying as some enemies don't want to spawn as their named variant most of the time. Bosses are also included in that count, but it's pretty easy to just run through the rest of the stage to fight any boss. I didn't realize it at the time but Nanana's beam attack is an amazing boss killer and I felt stupid for not realizing it until the very end of the game. The game itself, separating it from the platinum, has a great plot that focuses on the bonds between family members and is recommended if you like a good JRPG plot. The gameplay does get stale over the 40 hour trek, but it's still worth the effort to keep going. 153. Gravity Duck [PS4] April 30, 2020 I did this to continue my monthly platinum streak. True story. Moving on. 154. Arcade Game Series: Galaga May 16, 2020 I originally mentally checked out of this platinum after getting all the trophies besides the Perfect Bonus ones three years ago because I felt that I wouldn't be able to do any of them based on how I did on them getting up to stage 31 for the rest of the trophies in the first place. One of the trophies in the game ended up on a TrueTrophies challenge list, and I needed a quick one on the final day so I actually decided to try it out. Finished the one on the list on that day, and came back yesterday and did the rest. Not too hard with the Dual Fighters, and even stage 15 without one of those didn't take too many resets. At least it doesn't track how many it took, haha. 155. VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk: Bartender Action May 28, 2020 The game is a different take on the visual novel genre where you play as a bartender mixing up drinks for the clients who enter the bar while they talk about what's happening throughout their lives. Most of the trophies involve making enough money to fulfill various tasks, or serving the correct drinks at the right time - sometimes not exactly what the client asks for. The most annoying trophy is the one that asks you to finish the shmup mini-game, though this can be easily cheesed by staying in the bottom right corner for most of the level and only hitting the boss when she uses a certain attack. Found that both the PSNProfiles and Playstation Trophies guides are full of inaccurate information, at least in regards to my play through, so if you're looking to get all the trophies or achievements in this game I recommend using the walkthrough on Steam. 156. Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition June 20, 2020 Definitely a very good visual novel. It doesn't surprise me that the director of this game was also the director for Ever17: The Out of Infinity, as the game shares a lot of similar themes, similar pacing issues, and a final route that reveals everything going on behind the scenes. I feel that most of the Before route could be completely cut from the game and it would still work out extremely well - however the rest of the game is excellent and definitely worth a read, though the unique way of accessing certain scenes (as well as different endings and the epilogues for each character) may require a guide. I initially got a normal ending which resolved nothing in the final chapter my first time through. The Xtend Episode, added to this release but not in the original version on the Xbox 360, adds a number of extra scenes from different points of view and some extra character development for the main characters after you've cleared the True Ending, which is always welcome. 157. The 25th Ward: The Silver Case June 25, 2020 This is the sequel to The Silver Case which I finished up last year, bought it while it was on sale after finishing the original game because I liked it enough. The game follows a new area called the 25th ward built nearby the original 24 wards found in the original game, and follows three groups within the new ward. It's recommended to alternate between the three storylines to get the full impact of the story, as several characters will appear in multiple storylines and it will get confusing to follow otherwise (and the PST guide recommends differently, so a word of warning on that one). I felt the game in general wasn't as good as the original Silver Case, but it's still an enjoyable read overall. There aren't many miscellaneous trophies this time around due to having three storylines as opposed to the two in the original, and they wanted to keep 25 trophies + platinum to reference the 25 wards. However, the route to the platinum is extremely extended due to the final chapter, which has a huge choice wheel of 100 choices each leading to a separate ending. This takes about eight to ten hours just to run through all options, and there's a short epilogue after the 100th ending is read. 158. Block-a-Pix Deluxe June 28, 2020 Another one of the Pix games from Lightwood Games, I found it to be a great deal different from their picross offerings and forces you to think a bit differently than those. I added this to the list of platinums I was going to get at the end of this month after I sped through a lot of the puzzles over the past month, though I did take a lot of time on the last page where the 65 x 100 puzzles took anywhere from 50 minutes up to two hours long. Was a lot of fun and I enjoyed my time going through all of them. 159. Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea June 30, 2020 It's a surprise that this took me so long as I started the game back in 2017 with the intention of trying to see all the new scenes with the addition of Ayesha and Logy to this game as opposed to the PS3 version, but for some reason I stopped after reaching the final chapter back in 2018. Not exactly sure why, I feel like I was trying to get it ready for the 128th platinum for the pattern but I ended up abandoning that at some point. They added many scenes to this version, mainly discussing the events from the end of Escha & Logy plus the effects of the Dusk, which ends up becoming relevant at the very end. Some extra scenes are also added right after the final boss to deliver a better ending to the trilogy overall instead of the barebones ending that the PS3 version got. The trophy list was the same as the PS3 version despite the added content. The Vita version has problems with pop-in and maintaining a stable framerate, but that's similar to all of the Atelier games ported to it. 160. Fate/Extella Link July 4, 2020 Here's the musou-like with the Fate series and it is definitely the best of these, proving that not only Omega Force can produce a musou game that is just as fun to play through. For a while, it felt like it was a lot of work to go through all of the story again in Very Hard difficulty and I felt it wasn't worth the effort and just did a few stages every so often. Then I switched to using Iskandar (after maxing out Astolfo's bond level) and it was just ridiculous how much AoE and damage he does on every one of his attacks, and I was racking up 9,000 KOs a stage. With him it was amazingly fun to just utterly destroy everything in both the story and the extra stages. After doing all that it just took a few runs of the level 150 extra stage to finish up leveling everyone's bond to 23, which unlocks their final bond events. Pretty simple to clear after learning that. Platinums #161-180 Spoiler 161. Yakuza Kiwami 2 July 16, 2020 I originally ranked this game at 4th in my top 10 games of 2018 topic, not having done most of the minigames included in this one and mainly touching on the great story it had. The game trims most of the annoying minigames out like cee-lo, cho-han, billiards, and others to make it a much more enjoyable ride through all of them (and yes, I do enjoy mahjong!) Unlike most Yakuza titles, there's not much extra to do with the completion list in this game, the biggest tasks aside from the minigames are to beat fifteen groups of each random enemy spawn in both cities to unlock all the street bosses, and then clear twenty-six bouncer missions on three difficulty modes. The latter being the more difficult portion as the Amons decide to show up in the last three missions, but only the one where all three showed up was any problem and required a Sacrifice Stone on the harder difficulties. The Legend mode playthrough was a non-issue and all I did was swing around my unlimited durability lightsaber for a few hours. 162. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy August 6, 2020 What better way to celebrate 10,000 total trophies then celebrating a series that I have enjoyed for fifteen years. Decided on doing this for the milestone a few weeks ago, noting I was less than a hundred trophies away and this was a perfect choice. The platinum does not require much besides seeing some easter eggs and alternate dialogue, sometimes involving selecting wrong answers that give out penalties, with some being humorous and others being somewhat of a pain. Having played the entire series I still believe 3-5 is still the best case in the series, and I won't budge from this, even though 6-5 and 2-4 are amazing cases in their own right. 163. Devious Dungeon 2 August 11, 2020 One of the better Ratalaika titles, this game is a pretty basic platformer/RPG hybrid, similar to how Rogue Legacy plays in its dungeons. There's three classes you can pick, Barbarian, Rogue, and Mage - I used the rogue - each with a special ability. I don't know what I would have done without the rogue's double jump as it made a huge difference in the late-game which requires more platforming skill. Not much else to say about it, besides the fact that unlike most Ratalaika titles the trophy list requires you to actually finish the entire game. 164. Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen August 17, 2020 The last major Vita release here in 2020. Of course, since I decided to play this series in timeline order I still have the other two games to go through, but it's a nice game to end out the Vita's lifespan. The game has an amazing story, one of the best I've played through on the Vita so far. Glad I waited to start here with the series, and if the sequels are of the same quality I feel that I will have a great time with this series. The game's strategy RPG portion, however, is very bare-bones and lacks any challenge even on Hard difficulty - though the bonus battle that unlocks after collecting all items makes it a little better in that regard. There's nothing much else in regards to the platinum, it's a very easy one to finish up. 165. Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug August 20, 2020 The last of the Arcade Game Series platinum trophies. Finished up Galaga earlier this year and the two Pac-Man games in 2017. Honestly, not sure why I waited that long on this one - none of the trophies are particularly difficult and only two (Rambler - Dig 1,000 spaces in a single play through and Centurion - Kill 100 enemies in a single play through) will take time using the cloud save trick to finish. 166. Pic-a-Pix Pieces [PS4] August 30, 2020 It's a stack, so no big write up. Played it basically for some quick trophies for THL and a number in the Gaming by Numbers event. 167. Chaos;Child September 3, 2020 As Robotics;Notes and Robotics;Notes DaSH are coming over next month, I thought that it was a good time to finally finish this visual novel off. After the main route concluded, I was thinking the game was just good, not great. However, getting through the alternate side routes and true ending afterwards elevated this game to one of the better VNs I have read, and definitely the best one since finishing AI: The Somnium Files earlier this year. Some of the reveals from the other routes made the game more interesting, and the true ending definitely links it up with the other games in the series. I do wonder if I should watch Chaos;Head at some point as I think the ship has sailed on an English release of Chaos;Head Noah, though hopefully the fan translation comes for that one. Regardless, I think this has topped my list of visual novel series and hopefully will continue to do so with the next installments! 168. Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus - The Awakening of Golden Jazz September 7, 2020 The Jake Hunter series has had very weird releases in North America, and this game is no exception. It was essentially shadow dropped onto PSN and the eShop by Aksys last year with barely any announcement - I only found it by searching the latest releases on the store one day, and purchased it the first time it went on sale. The game itself is really nothing special. Most of the reveals are pretty easy to spot and there isn't anything too spectacular. The game also has many things that really show the developers were not from New York, including the Celsius temperature in a newspaper, the lack of subways in the city, and the map looking not like Manhattan at all (and one of the backgrounds was clearly from Queens). It's a completely average game, which is par for the course with most of the Jake Hunter releases overseas. Not a game I would recommend playing unless you really like the series overall. 169. Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories September 22, 2020 The game tries to hype up how it allows you to create your own experience after the earthquake, but that's pretty much a lie - the game itself is completely a straight linear experience with barely any significant choices until near the end. Any story from the game itself just seems disjointed as many parts are never referenced again, even in the epilogue where many loose ends are finished. The survival mechanics are basically just tacked on, and you can go throughout the whole game without actually eating, drinking, or using the bathroom and nothing bad will happen. I am not exactly sure who this game was trying to appeal to, but it certainly was not myself as there was very little to excite me here. At least the ending theme is very good, and some of the dialogue choices can be intentionally (or unintentionally) hilarious. This game was originally cancelled all the way back in 2011. Honestly, it probably should have stayed that way, as this game is an embarrassment charging full price for what it brings to the table and I do somewhat regret my purchase. 170. Donut County September 26, 2020 The basic gameplay is to drop stuff in holes for a couple hours and a platinum comes out. There's some minimal puzzle solving but nothing that would be difficult for anyone to solve. It's basically the definition of an average game, and because it's so short I advise picking it up in a sale if you're interested. Basically just played this for some quick trophies for the current TrueTrophies event Leap Frog - today and the previous two days. 171. Jack N' Jill DX [Vita] September 30, 2020 Played this for Gaming with Numbers, but I'm actually curious about what happens in the levels after what is required for the platinum. It's still downloaded, so maybe I'll play through and figure that out at some point? 172. Kill la Kill: IF October 10, 2020 One of the oddest anime tie-ins, coming about five years after the anime's release. The game is a pretty basic arena fighter with two short story modes, which tells an alternate story to the actual anime, and a few challenges similar to Smash's Multi Man Melee modes. Since I watched the show way back when it was on Adult Swim, it was nice to have an English dub added to the game since I was more familiar with those overall. All in all, it was surprisingly enjoyable to see these characters again and I had a good time playing through it, for the most part (the versus match farming and the S-ranks were just annoying). As it spoils a good amount of plot points from the anime from throughout the entire series, it's recommended to watch that first (and why would you play this if you haven't anyway?) 173. Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms October 25, 2020 The second half of the Hakuoki duo-logy on the Vita. Started this back on the previous year's TrueTrophies score challenge and finished it up during this year's one. As far as the game goes, the historical setting and characters do a good job of telling the story. Unfortunately the main character is a doormat and barely does anything in every single route of the game, a disappointment from what happens in the first half. For the platinum, it's a standard visual novel list having you see all the endings, see all the CGs, and unlock all the encyclopedia entries. Nothing too difficult, just a lot of time with thirteen routes to traverse through. 174. WILL: A Wonderful World October 28, 2020 An interesting visual novel where you play as a god that can change the storylines of humans and fix the mistakes they make to lead them towards a better ending. While I found the overarching plot to be somewhat lackluster with an ending I didn't really like, all of the individual storylines in the game were extremely interesting - and watching them continually fail by making dumb mistakes was pretty funny as well. I think this visual novel is worth reading because of the individual storylines and not the overarching plot. Also, while you might need a guide to finish the trophy list, it isn't required to get any of the endings - the entire game is basically trial and error and you'll find your way towards the end by just rearranging the stories until it works. Definitely worth a play if nothing else - though there are some extremely heavy themes and it's not for someone easily disturbed. 175. Plague Inc: Evolved October 30, 2020 Definitely one of the hardest completions in a while - the platinum requires all official scenarios to be completed with 3 biohazards and all diseases on mega brutal difficulty. Also, with all the updates the game has gotten the platinum becomes harder as they add the new diseases and scenarios to the trophies to make them even more difficult. Both take some precise strategies to complete, and sometimes the RNG just goes against you and you fail anyways. The Mad Cow disease scenario being the most egregious example, as it took over 30 plays just to roll the ideal scenario and get the 65,000 points needed to get 3 biohazards on the easiest difficulty. Other than that, the platinum requires some various random events that require you starting from various countries to fulfill specific purposes. None of them are particularly difficult, but sometimes it takes a while for the event to pop up - or the cure happens before the event concludes. Regardless of how hard the platinum was though, it's still a fun strategy game to mess around in once in a while. Might play some of it later on the PC as it's much better with a mouse than a controller. 176. Punch Line October 31, 2020 I will admit that I bought this mainly because Kotaro Uchikoshi is the writer and I pretty much buy anything that he writes these days, with some of my favorite visual novels from that batch. However, even he can have a dud sometimes. While this game definitely has the twists that Uchikoshi loves writing in to his visual novels, I think this game suffered from being a visual novel adaptation of an anime series rather than the usual of being the other way around. The main puzzles that are in this title are only present in less than half of the episodes and are very front loaded, so the game turns into a straight visual novel for over half the game - I get that they couldn't change the storyline too much as the story was already set, but it makes it feel like a mess when reading through it. Despite all this, I still found it to be worth a read if you like Uchikoshi's works - just not on par with a lot of his other visual novels. 177. Jack N' Jill DX [PS4] November 1, 2020 178. Super Destronaut DX [PS4] November 2, 2020 179. Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet [PS4] November 2, 2020 180. Blind Men [PS4] November 2, 2020 Platinums #181-200 Spoiler 181. Metagal [PS4] November 2, 2020 182. Super Destronaut DX [Vita] November 2, 2020 183. Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet [Vita] November 2, 2020 184. Blind Men [Vita] November 2, 2020 185. Metagal [Vita] November 2, 2020 186. Mekabolt [PS4] November 9, 2020 187. Wordsweeper by POWGI [Vita] November 17, 2020 Definitely one of the better POWGI games and one I enjoyed playing to 100%. It's sort of a cross between a crossword puzzle and minesweeper in that each black square has the letters for all of the squares next to it, and you have to use those to fill in the grid completely. My only complaint is the weird difficulty selection - some Hard puzzles were ridiculously easy, even compared to some of the Easy and Medium puzzles. It just seemed odd to get to the later puzzles and still get a layout that I easily finished under one minute. 188. Inksplosion [PS4] November 21, 2020 Boy is this game really terrible. I normally have decent skill at two stick shooter games but this one took a while - mainly because of the switching gun mechanic where it gives you a random gun for every round. Most of the guns are efficient but the rocket gun is a complete useless piece of garbage when you get it. The colors in the game, which is one of its features, also makes it very difficult to see the enemies' bullets, especially the really small ones. Thankfully because it is a Ratalaika it is over pretty quickly even after doing a bit on each mode - PS4 tracked my time as just over an hour, which seems correct. 189. SoulCalibur VI November 22, 2020 SoulCalibur VI rewinds the story back to the events of the original SoulCalibur and presents a whole new bunch of storylines from many characters. The platinum requires viewing the entire storyline of both the 20 original characters and Libra of Soul, which is similar to SCII's Weapon Master mode with a created character and a visual novel-based storyline. Most of the trophy list requires a number of tasks to be completed in Libra of Soul, such as completing Geralt's sidequest line, collecting 100 weapons, raising all towns to level 4, among others. As I said in the previous post, the Libra of Soul mode reminds me a lot of SCII's Weapon Master mode, which is another one of my few fighting game platinum trophies. I had stopped at 18/49 trophies a year or two ago - TrueTrophies had a bonus in their GTTSC challenge for 20 fighting trophies in a week and this game was practically the only choice I had besides some random trophies in the P4 Arenas. After those, the only trophies left were in Libra of Soul or online - one of my friends and I decided to play at 3 AM EST when no one was online and matched up easily to trade wins for those. 190. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel November 27, 2020 Put this down way back in 2016 for really no reason at all while the other games in the series kept getting released and I just never tried to catch up. Finally beat the game earlier this year, and finished my NG+ Nightmare run today to finish off the platinum. After finishing Sky FC and SC years ago, I expected this to be more of a world building title to introduce ourselves (and the characters in the game as well) to Erebonia, which is exactly what this was. While I still found it mostly interesting throughout the game, it's obvious that there's a lot more here to set up future titles, which is what I'll find out shortly since I've already linked my save to CSII and started that game. The platinum, like every Trails game, is filled with missable trophies and almost assuredly requires a guide to collect everything, most notably character notes, books, and hidden quests. Also to note is the bonding trophies from each character - I managed four on the initial playthrough and set it up to have the other eight choices ready to go at the end of the NG+ run. 191. Rocket Arena December 20, 2020 This is some 3rd-person multiplayer shooting game that was given out for PS+ this month - not the best, but it was fun for some time. Though even with crossplay enabled almost everyone I saw was a PlayStation player so I'm not sure how well this game is actually doing. Trophies include getting one competitor to level 100, five of them to level 25, and then getting 100 KOs with the 10 starting characters. Takes around 25 hours to finish, though I made use of the two double XP weekends that happened since the game was given out to speed up the leveling. 192. Sakura Wars December 27, 2020 A surprisingly good game! I played the only other localized game in the series back on the Wii and was not a fan, so I was wary of this one and instead got it as a gift for my birthday. The musou-like battles are definitely not as appealing as the strategy RPG ones in the other games, but they definitely go by much faster - which has its advantages, as the character development and story is the main focus of the game. Unfortunately for the platinum you have to clear every story battle with every character, but that still doesn't take too long anyway. It's also important to keep a guide handy as each intermission has bromides that can be quite hidden without help (there is a way in-game for clues, but it's in a riddle for each intermission) plus many trophies require relationship points with all the characters as well as your party members. Overall, I still enjoyed going through the story - it was surprisingly good after I was disappointed with the other game in the series I played. I also enjoyed playing koi-koi for five hours or so - but that's a given, as I've enjoyed doing so in every Yakuza title to date. 193. Wordsweeper by POWGI [PS4] December 27, 2020 194. 36 Fragments of Midnight [PS4] January 16, 2021 This game is a perfect hour long game that really shouldn't have a platinum, but it's a decent game that takes a little bit of platformer skill to finish within the six minute time limit the game requires for the finish. I managed to finish in 5:30 on my first clear, so that was really all the game needed. Just needed to collect enough shards to die with which just padded out the game length. It's not a bad game, just really shouldn't have a platinum in the first place. It is weird though to see a Ratalaika platinum near 80% though, most of these are much higher! 195. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory January 19, 2021 Taking the base game in Theatrhythm and turning it into a similar rhythm game for the Kingdom Hearts series makes for a very good game. Even me, whose Kingdom Hearts knowledge amounts to Kingdom Hearts I's plot up to Hollow Bastion and the Kingdom Hearts in a nutshell videos by Just A Pancake, found a lot to like from this game. Not a fan of Melody of Memory's accuracy-based score system, as it really cheapens the worth of a full chain overall and I found myself getting FCs with points below other runs where I didn't hit all the notes, but hit the ones I did with better accuracy. Overall though, this is an easy rhythm game especially compared to a lot of the titles I tend to play in this genre. The platinum requires a bit of a grind with its 100,000 enemies defeated trophy, but it's not much of a problem. Hope you like Xehanort's boss battle theme! 196. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 [PS4] January 23, 2021 Everything about it is exactly like the first game, even the platinum trophy image is the same. The only difference is a new story mode that is somewhat frustrating at times. Other than that, there's basically nothing new if you already have the first game. Skill battles are pretty dumb. I don't really have much to say about this one. 197. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim January 28, 2021 It's an excellent sci-fi plot mixed in with a decent real time strategy battle system. Definitely worth your time if you like either of those things. Natsuno is best girl. (Will update this writeup later) 198. Kandagawa Jet Girls February 28, 2021 Another day, another fun multiplayer game from Honey Parade Games. Apparently this is also a tie in with some anime I didn't watch, but I doubt the story is any more compelling than the one attached to this game. Platinum is pretty basic and only one of the stories has a chapter race that's actually somewhat difficult, but I still cleared it on the first try. The AI only uses the base versions of each jet machine, so any upgrades you put on the one you use makes the game that much easier. 199. Link-a-Pix Deluxe [Vita] March 30, 2021 The last of the Lightwood Games that I currently haven't finished, this puzzler has you linking numbers on a grid to form a shape. While the game has 240 puzzles and I intend to play through all of them, the platinum only requires a tenth of those, instead assigning the trophies to a number of individual puzzles. Most of these trophies have a picture of an animal drawn in their grid. I really just wanted to clear out some of the games on my trophy list that the recent TrueTrophies challenge shoved on it - there's a lot of games started during that which I do want to play through at some point! 200. Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception May 7, 2021 Played Prelude to the Fallen last year and it was easily the best new series I picked up during the year. I also started Mask of Deception last year as well, but early on I was very disappointed with how the game began with its glacial plot, if there was one in the beginning at all. Another TrueTrophies challenge pushed me to the eleventh battle of the game, already 2/3rds of the way through, and by that time there was a lot more happening and after the challenge was completed I went all the way to the end - and the impact of how I want to continue this series made me throw this right into a milestone platinum with little effort. Though it's not a bad choice - considering its genres, it fits in very well with the top games in the top 100 list I just finished the writeups for on another website. I'm very satisfied with it being there. It's time for Mask of Truth and I've already seen the opening and see a large amount more of the Prelude to the Fallen characters, which overall I was a big fan of! Hopefully this proves to be a good conclusion to this trilogy of games. Platinums #201-220 Spoiler 201. Dragon Sinker May 22, 2021 One of the many jRPG titles from Exe-Create and Kemco that are on pretty much every platform these days. This game however has a very in-depth job system that makes the game a lot of fun to experiment with different combinations throughout the entire game. I played the entire game on the hardest difficulty and like you would expect, the first few bosses are pretty tough and then it gets easier as you unlock more skills from the different jobs. It definitely tries to emulate the feel of a NES RPG too much at times - even down to the graphics and music. I enjoyed this one a lot more than the other title I played from this group (Antiquia Lost) and might try a few more in the future. After beating the game, there's still another dungeon to go through to get the true ending and a bonus dungeon with some interesting boss fights, including a gauntlet fight where you fight the same boss in a battle as long as possible, while the boss gets a slight powerup every time you kill her. The platinum required ten kills, which was no problem at all. 202. Block-a-Pix Deluxe [PS4] June 6, 2021 Not much else to say here. Still confused to why the PS4 gets a bigger display when it's still easy to see everything even when the Vita remote plays the PS4 version (like in Fill-a-Pix), but who knows. 203. Robotics;Notes Elite June 18, 2021 Another very good visual novel in the Science Adventure series, though it's definitely the weakest of the four I have read so far. Definitely the weakest cast, much different from Chaos;Child or either of the Steins;Gate games, but I was still hooked onto it for a good portion of the ending scenes. The platinum doesn't require much extra work besides reading through, just a couple extra trophies regarding the robot battles and Twipo (game's version of Twitter) responses. I missed one tip in my playthrough because I didn't zoom in enough in IRUO to collect a geotag at some point, but it was easy to use the Daily Records function to jump to the tip needed. A nice refreshing break from some of the other games I've been playing through recently. 204. Pic-a-Pix Classic 2 [Vita] June 20, 2021 There was a recent sale on Lightwood Games' catalog so it was the perfect time to pick up some of the games I haven't purchased from them yet, including this one! Still, it's just a quick picross game with 150 puzzles in between a few other games I'm playing through. Not much to say about it other than that. 205. Kotodama: The 7 Myseries of Fujisawa July 3, 2021 PQube localizes a lot of these visual novels over here. However, I've found most of them range from mediocre to bad, with Root Letter, WorldEnd Syndrome, Punch Line, and now this game. This game requires four to five playthroughs depending on how thorough you are at collecting certain keywords. While the game is very short (about four hours even without skipping, but you will want to skip after seeing the same scenes multiple times), unlike the other games I listed, the true ending to this one seemed rushed and didn't resolve anything. Unfortunately for me I still have three more visual novels I've purchased from them - but obviously with how I've found these to be I'll probably put most of these off for a while. 206. Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth July 21, 2021 In my Mask of Deception writeup above, I complained about its glacial plot, but this game starts off a lot better than that one did - reminds me a lot of Prelude to the Fallen's storyline, with the interesting civil war storyline through the game. It then shifts and answers practically every last story thread remaining from Prelude to the Fallen and Mask of Deception, tying up the trilogy in the best way possible. The final battle is one of the best in any video game to date. Though not only is the story great, but the strategy RPG portion actually has a decent challenge to it, especially if you take it and go all the way to the end of the Dream Arena. There's a lot of interesting scenarios it gets into and it was a worthwhile challenge to go through it all. I think that was what was missing in the other two games - Prelude had no challenge whatsoever until its one bonus battle and Mask of Deception had a very underdeveloped Dream Arena compared to this one. Being able to succeed in both parts of the game makes this the clear cut best game of its series. The platinum does not take much besides finishing the Dream Arena to its end, but some of the drop rates on items are ridiculous, and you need to get every drop from every mission (all are repeatable). Some drops have a low rate when you get to the final missions of the Dream Arena, down to a low point of 25% - took about six runs of the last fight to get both of the 25% drops from it. I've seen some comments saying this took many retries to get, luckily this did not happen to me for any of the drops, but my save file still shows a bit over 80 hours played to get everything done. Considering the story was over at around half that, it does take a while to get everything! 207. Pic-a-Pix Pieces 2 [Vita] August 7, 2021 This game has a ridiculous amount of content for a picross game, clocking in at 480 color puzzles (making up 20 images - 24 puzzles per image). Got it in a sale for $4, so it was less than a cent per puzzle. It is still color picross so it is much easier to finish all the puzzles, but still a great value overall. Vita version has some bugs in the game as it wasn't optimized for the system. Both are documented in the forums for the Vita version here, so I won't repeat the explanations here. Just a bunch of annoyances, but it's probably best to play it on PS4/5 as those systems do not have these bugs. 208. Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition August 14, 2021 Not the most interesting platinum image, huh? Thanks to people on another message board I frequent, I bought this in a sale at some point and was excited to play it as many people there had very high praise for the story in this adventure game. Unfortunately because of that I am slightly disappointed overall. The story was good and I definitely got interested as the story progressed, but I did not think it was amazing or "the best video game story" as I have heard it talked about. The soundtrack for the game is fantastic though, with a lot of tracks I really enjoyed - probably will grab the $10 digital album I saw when I searched for it. This is another adventure game trophy list, similar to Grim Fandango, that rewards exploration and finding additional events that are not part of the actual storyline. I feel that most adventure games should do a trophy list similar to this one, though this was a bit lacking (not that I did not explore as much as I could when I had the chance!) Still, an enjoyable read, one definitely different from the usual games I play, so I am glad I had a chance to play it. 209. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot August 30, 2021 A good action RPG that covers the entirety of the Dragon Ball Z series, from the Saiyan saga all the way through the Buu saga. I watched most of the series when I was a kid like many of us here, though I never managed to finish the Buu saga when watching it back then - so I finally saw it all the way to the end. The game is decently challenging for the first half of the game, and then you unlock Big Bang Attack and the difficulty just plummets every time you control Vegeta in a battle - the range and damage that one attack does compared to everything else in the game is so broken compared to any other attack. Since you can choose your party for most of the optional battles, I almost always controlled Vegeta for them. My save file when I got the Platinum was just over 44 hours in total - and I did almost all of the sub stories (since they did the bulk of the post game leveling). As for the DLC stories, I might check them out at a future date, but I don't have interest in any of them at this point. 210. Pic-a-Pix Classic 2 [PS4] August 31, 2021 Just look at the write-up six trophies above this one! 211. Energy Cycle September 1, 2021 Did it in one hour just to fill the slot in Gaming by Numbers. 212. Ganbare! Super Strikers [Vita] September 20, 2021 A cross between soccer and a strategy RPG seems like it would be a real winner if done correctly, however, this game falls short of the mark. The AI is so easily exploitable that at the end of most games, I was just waiting for the AI to waste its turns doing nothing and handing me the win with a single goal scored on my end. With a better AI and a more in-depth story mode, this game could be a real winner. Instead, it's just a five hour novelty game that I somewhat enjoyed playing through. The platinum requires nothing additional besides finishing story mode in full. 213. Ghost of Tsushima September 23, 2021 One of the very rare AAA games that I actually play through - though I'm definitely intrigued at historical games even if the story in this one is almost all fantasy. The true strength of Ghost of Tsushima lies in the story and characters, where it really shines - some of the side quests are extremely powerful, such as Yuriko's second tale. The combat is also very good, which is definitely needed since there's a lot of combat in its fifty hours of gameplay (and why I'm not yet going into the DLC yet). While the stealth sometimes takes a backseat to the combat, it also shines when it comes to the forefront - disabling entire enemy camps without being seen is very possible with all of the Ghost techniques Jin has at his disposal. The only downside is that it's very much a checklist open world game with the very many fox shrines, haikus, and other areas all over the place, and of course the platinum requires finding almost everything out there. Definitely glad I played it to the end. Once I'm in the mood for more Ghost of Tsushima, I'll check out the Iki Island DLC but for now I'll be going back to other games I've left behind. 214. The House in Fata Morgana October 10, 2021 Top 10 visual novel and definitely worth a play through. Despite the somewhat slow start through the first few chapters, the game quickly picks up and connects the entire thing together, with a fantastic soundtrack throughout the entire run. The PSN version (and Switch version) adds A Requiem for Innocence, Reincarnation, and eighteen more additional short stories to add more to the story, but the main story is the best part and the true highlight of the game. The platinum requires only to find all eight endings in the main story, and then to read all of the available stories. It is a pretty common platinum on most trophy websites because people used the back door to unlock everything immediately and got all the trophies in under a hour, which is a shame - it's definitely a story that should be experienced. 215. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night October 19, 2021 I definitely had a high opinion of this game when I first started it back in 2019; fast forwarding to now though I have a less favorable opinion of the game. I found the game very difficult as I kept going through, and had various problems throughout the game, losing hours of progress through various deaths. Regardless, the RPG mechanics did however make it more enjoyable and there was always the option to grind more if needed. I beat the game in the mid-40s on normal mode, not needing to overlevel too much, and finished the game at level 63 thanks to all the item farming. I do believe it's a good game overall, but I'm not interested in playing more Metroidvania games for the time being. The platinum requires everything at 100% except all the weapon techniques (though one technique has to be mastered) and it's mostly running back and forth in the base and smashing lanterns for gold over and over to buy enough alkahest to dismantle your items to craft more items. An endless loop of crafting. Base item drop rates from demons are pretty abysmal but there are plenty of ways to raise it. 216. Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! [PS4] October 27, 2021 Like many people, I played the original game back in 2017, so my purchase was more for the additional things added to this version (though there wasn't much in general). The base game is still as I remembered it. The new side stories added to the game each have a focus on the relationship between two of the characters and details how the Literature Club was formed before the events of the main game happen. It's pretty short though, only took around 3-4 hours to read through all of them. The platinum requires all endings, CGs, poems, and music to be unlocked in the end, which requires a lot of reloading to get certain things to come up. Fortunately, it doesn't take too long to do so. 217. Mary Skelter: Nightmares October 30, 2021 One might look at this game and say 'another dungeon crawler by Idea Factory and Compile Heart, pass' and while that's definitely true, it's probably their best work yet. An amazing first person dungeon crawler with a lot of in-dungeon puzzles that aren't annoying, lots of character customization, and plenty of extra exploration in the various areas that are available. The only thing I didn't like is probably the lack of voiced dialogue in the English dub as the Japanese voices do a lot more, but that's to be expected with a niche game like this one. Platinum requires getting both the bad and good endings, getting a single character to level 81, beating 80% of the monsters in the game, and completing the postgame dungeon which is literally three levels of 100x100 spaces and is so big that the map barely fits on the Vita screen. Still enjoyable, though; I love exploring through these maps, though I wish there was more reward to doing so at times. As there's no localization of the PS4 version of the next game in the series, I'll be moving over to the Switch for Mary Skelter 2 before returning to the PS4 to conclude the series. 218. London Detective Mysteria November 10, 2021 Unlike the last otome game I played (Hakuoki) the protagonist in this one is actually very capable and goes to a detective academy in London, where she meets all of the other major characters in the game. While there are some small mysteries in the plot, the mysteries are pretty easily solved and do not require too much thinking, especially if you've played other visual novels with similar mysteries. The common route is also way too long and is pretty annoying to go through even with skip, and the skip to next choice sometimes bugs out and crashes the game. Thankfully the individual routes and the epilogues are pretty good, and were worth the effort to unlock - along with the true ending. Unfortunately it ends with a To Be Continued and the developer has not made any games since releasing this one back in 2016. Dunno if we'll ever see a sequel, and an even less chance if it does release that we'll see it localized in English. 219. Death Mark November 22, 2021 This game is a short horror adventure game. It involves exploring multiple areas to save a number of protagonists from a curse that is known only as the Mark, given from various spirits in the game. I found it to be interesting enough to keep my attention, and I enjoyed my... eight hours with the game. I would have liked a few more chapters to go through before the ending happened (there's one additional DLC chapter, but it seems weird playing after how it ended). The platinum requires only story events, but you either need to do a second playthrough or keep separate saves as each chapter has two different endings depending on whether the spirit is either destroyed or saved based on the items you collect and use in the chapter. I used it mostly to get the 2000 trophy XP for the TrueTrophies bonus, chosen over some visual novels as those would give next to no points in the TT contest. It was still a nice surprise of a title, and I might check out the other game in its mini-series at some point. 220. 36 Fragments of Midnight [Vita] December 6, 2021 Look above for the writeup of the PS4 version, it's pretty much the same. I needed every point the week I got this one to continue into next week, so yes, it was needed! Platinums #221-240 Spoiler 221. Nurse Love Syndrome December 14, 2021 I can't fathom the reason someone decided to write a visual novel where the main character is a nurse that has a mental breakdown every time she sees blood. Well, whatever. 222. Croixleur Sigma December 26, 2021 Back in 2017, I started this indie hack and slash title. I found it pretty decent, but felt that I was pretty bad at the game as I couldn't beat the second character's story mode in under ten minutes, which prevented me from completing the story of the full game. I never did remove it from my Vita and just let it sit in a folder for four years. Last month I loaded it up due to the TrueTrophies challenge to see if there were any other trophies I could get in it, and stumbled across a tip about turning on control assist in the options menu - and the results are a platinum trophy four years later. Even with that tip it still was a difficult one - the platinum requires the aforementioned story mode run to be done in eight minutes and thirty seconds, as well as to clear the 50-floor dungeon mode with no continues (with floors that have every monster on the floor deal double damage so you die in one hit to a miniboss. I died on the 50th floor twice before finally succeeding). It's definitely a platinum that took a lot of effort and skill, and I'm happy with the results. 223. Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut [Vita] December 29, 2021 If you combined the ice floor puzzles from a JRPG with a horror movie parody and Minecraft-like characters you would get something similar to Slayaway Camp. Honestly, it doesn't seem like a bad combination - the problem with the game is how badly it runs on the Vita. Loading times are abysmal for such a simple game, and the numerous crash bugs were annoying (luckily the game's autosave helped with that a bit). I can't recommend this game at all on the Vita - find it on a system that runs it better if you want to play it. 224. Dragon Fantasy: Volumes of Westeria January 10, 2022 An updated re-release of Dragon Fantasy Book I, which originally released back in 2013 on the PS3/Vita. This release was for the PS4/Vita, and whoever purchased it originally got the Vita version for free. I of course did not find this out until two years after its release on the system. Compared to the original release, there's a few trophies that have you playing through chapters 1 and 3 (the longest ones - chapter 1 is over half the full game's runtime) in a more challenging way, but given that this is a Dragon Quest parody RPG it basically just means grind more. There's new story content with a new intermission in between Chapter 3 and Intermission M, which is basically a forced stealth mission and is extremely annoying to play through, so I don't know why they even bothered since it is so short in the first place. In summary, there's nothing really here to interest you if you have played the original game, and if you haven't, it's merely an average way to spend eight hours or so. Muteki Games has been pretty silent since this game's re-release so who knows if we'll ever see the Book III they hinted at way back. 225. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles January 12, 2022 Overall, the game was a solid title, though that's more on GAA2 than its predecessor, and I can understand why Capcom originally passed on localizing the first half back on the 3DS. My overall game ranking for the series: 6 > 3 > GAA2 > 1 > LvW > 5 > 2 > AAI1 > GAA1 > 4 I guess the only place to go now would be AAI2 at some point, to finally complete the series. Hopefully this will have sold well enough to continue the series on PS consoles (as I've placed both the Phoenix Wright Trilogy and this game at certain milestones) and that we finally get Ace Attorney 7 at some point. 226. Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne January 17, 2022 Ignoring the ridiculous word salad the title happens to be, this is a pretty simple visual novel with a handful of strategy RPG like scenes scattered throughout its runtime. It deals with an alternate path off of volume 3/episode 11 in where instead of the royal selection being continued, a sixth candidate is found which delays it all together, and Subaru tasks himself with finding out who the fake candidate is. It was a pretty interesting story, all things considered, but the runtime was pretty short (around 18 hours long). What is nice is that Spike Chunsoft opted to dub the game, with all the voice actors from the anime returning to reprise their roles. Considering I watched the dub myself, it was nice to have the game like that, as most anime games don't get this treatment. The platinum doesn't require much in general besides that, opting to include some optional objectives in each strategy RPG mission, plus requiring multiple playthroughs of the game (two trophies require a 3rd playthrough) making alternate decisions at the beginning of the story to unlock all the CGs in the game. Fortunately, skipping through the entire story took only a hour and a half, so it wasn't difficult to do so after I had finished everything else. 227. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 [PS5] January 17, 2022 I already had the PS4 version's platinum, so despite this being my first PS5 platinum it isn't that big of a deal! It was very similar to what I did with the PS4 version, spend 10-15 hours playing the game regularly, then idle grind puyos for 15 hours. Still had fun with the first ten hours, though! 228. Link-a-Pix Deluxe [PS4] January 19, 2022 Same thing as with the Vita version where it only requires a limited number of the puzzles included, which is different from most of the non-POWGI Lightwood Games titles. PS4 version has a better grid to look at which makes it easier as well. 229. No Man's Sky [PS5] February 11, 2022 I already had the PS4 stack so I just did this for the TT points for my team in the TrueTrophies score challenge. Took no time at all. 230. My Name is Mayo 2 February 12, 2022 I will thank Limited Run Games for actually selling a physical copy of Green Lava Studios' three easy platinum games as a joke on April Fools Day last year. I put in an order for it because I thought it was funny. There is actually a bit of a game in here with the last story requiring some platforming skill and a parody of Flappy Bird. Still easy but at least it isn't 100% mindless clicking. 231. Mr. Massagy February 13, 2022 The 3rd game in the disc already mentioned above, this game is a parody of dating sim games with ten dating options; except while some of them are actual human women, there's a whole bunch of other options such as a werewolf and the Mayo jar from the above game. The dialogue is pretty great and it's nice to see some of the alternate dialogue by choosing completely ridiculous options at times. My only complaint was that I kept accidentally choosing options while trying to read through the dialogue (as the X button went through dialogue, but it only worked on the text box where the choices were as well) and it led to some endings that I didn't mean to get. 232. Tower of Dragonasia February 13, 2022 This game is complete garbage. It plays like a bad flash game from the 90s or something, and is just not fun to play. Luckily they left the developer menu in so you don't have to play it. Did this because my teammate in the TrueTrophies Score Challenge suggested we all do it to win the most trophies for the week special badge this week, which we did manage (but was well over what we actually did need). 233. Crypto by POWGI [Vita] February 14, 2022 I haven't done any cryptogram puzzles in quite some time, so this was actually an enjoyable experience for most of it. Then again, I have never heard of "mulligatawny soup" literally ever, and having three letters that were only in that word didn't help matters. That one definitely needed a guide since I was not going to figure it out otherwise. 234. Crypto by POWGI [PS4] February 14, 2022 And then I did it again for the same reason as #232 above. woo-hoo! 235. Subnautica [PS4] February 16, 2022 I understand that there is a lot to do in both Subnautica and ARK (#237) and you're supposed to build your way up from basically nothing to get to that point. However, there's just too many games even in this topic that I can't sink the amount of hours needed to finish these games - and I doubt I'll even finish because I'd probably get bored early on, as the Build a Habitat trophy bugged on me in Subnautica so I had to start a new game - and I was just frustrated trying to get that from basically nothing. These aren't the games for me, but I know there are people who enjoy these! Just not my thing. 236. Subnautica [PS5] February 17, 2022 I really didn't notice that the two trophy lists have different looking trophies until I actually looked at them now, though. That's a cool addition. 237. ARK: Survival Evolved February 19, 2022 I assume this platinum rate will spike as people type for hours to get to the platinum here, just like how The Sims 4 went from UR to VR after going on PS+. 238. Persona 5 Strikers February 26, 2022 A definite worthy follow-up to the original Persona 5 story, though in the end I thought the overall ending was kind of underwhelming. Was nice to see all the characters again and some of them finally getting a chance to develop, like Haru missed out in the original. Played it mostly on PS5 so there was very little load times and the game ran very smoothly throughout the entire experience. The biggest trophy roadblock for most people will be the bond points grinding, as the story will not get you nearly enough to max out every bond skill. Luckily, there's a statue in the Osaka chapter that you can repeatedly talk to for bond points, so I took some hours to just grind it up there to the 90s, and then request grinding in the postgame finished it off. Other than that, not much of a challenge; the Reaper is significantly downgraded in this game, and if you play as every character the Master Arts trophies will follow pretty quickly. 239. Astro's Playroom February 27, 2022 I like the exploration of the past PlayStation brand and all the peripherals, though some of it is lost on me as my first PlayStation console was the superslim PS2. Regardless, it's still fun except for some frustrating sections where puzzle pieces or artifacts are hiding. The rocket suit can go screw itself as it definitely caused the most deaths out of any section in the game (strangely though the speedrun for it was simple). Had well over 1000 coins left over from all the replaying of stages that had to be done, so the gatcha was no problem there either. 240. Light Fairytale: Episode 1 March 9, 2022 Saw this JRPG on sale on PSN, its description said it was trying "to bring back the immersion and emotion of 90's era JRPGs on current hardware", so I decided to buy it and see for myself. For what it's worth, it at least got me to play the sequel as well, since I bought it after beating the game! Battle system is a simple turn-based affair with a limit break called Fury. The trophy list is very unique - it instead revolves mostly around a large number of missable side-events that are scattered throughout its extremely short runtime (the main story is about 1.5 hours long without the side-events, but with them you can easily double or even triple that). I did like where the story was headed though, even if it gave me more questions than answers, which is to be expected of an Episode 1 of four episodes planned. Platinums #241-260 Spoiler 241. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout March 18, 2022 Fall Guys is an interesting game to do a write-up, as I got most of the trophies the first season of the game. The game has changed so much since then, even if the core gameplay loop is the same. The main memory I have if it is playing it with all my friends as we had multiple people rotate in and out of groups as we played (and still play, but much less nowadays). For this platinum, the developers decided to give everyone an easy way to unlock some of the more challenging trophies over the past few weeks, with special modes designed to make both Infallible (5 wins in a row) and Track Star (20 wins in race stages) much easier than the main show. I already got (read: glitched) Infallible last year so I only needed the race wins, of which I only needed 4 total. It's my 2nd rarest platinum on PSNP, slotting itself right in between SSX and Jump Force. 242. Light Fairytale: Episode 2 March 20, 2022 Yes, it's the same exact image as the first game's platinum. In fact, all of the trophy images are the same. Episode 1 was an interesting game to begin the series, but the game starts to expand a bit in this game where the story takes a slight backseat to a much more involved combat system, with a number of challenging bosses to take care of. Of course, you can grind a bit and make the later bosses more trivial, which I did without really knowing this. I was level 4 when finishing episode 1 and made it all the way to level 12 by the end of this one (levels carry over from the first game if you do the save transfer). Overall, I enjoyed the episode more than the first one, but it was kind of disappointing that there wasn't as many optional events to find. Also, the alternate storyline, unlike the first game, was less than ten minutes long and was mostly unimportant to the overall story. I'll probably buy Episode 3 on release, which based on the release of these two will probably come some time in 2023. 243. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (Re-release) April 2, 2022 As said above, my friends and I still play Fall Guys, so this platinum was just a question of when rather than how. Kinda silly to have it, though. 244. Raging Loop April 16, 2022 A very good visual novel that mixes in Mafia/Werewolf game theory with a Japanese mythological background. Having played many mafia games over the years on other websites it was definitely an enjoyable read just for that alone, but it also had a great story for most of the runtime... though I thought the ending was pretty bad compared to the rest of the game. The journey there however was a great ride, especially the Darkness portion. There's a lot of Revelation Mode scenes I still need to see besides the two joke endings that were required for the platinum, and I'll definitely take a look through it before I stop playing the game all together. 245. Song of Memories May 5, 2022 The story in the game is good. It tends to be on the long side, though, and has a number of routes that seem unnecessary to the main plot of the game. Still, it was enjoyable for a good portion of the game length. The platinum requires you to make every choice at every opportunity, so there's a lot of dialogue to go through. The localization does its best to ruin the story, though. It's clear the localizers never tested the game to see if their translation worked because a lot of the problems would easily have been found and fixed if they took some time to do so. Considering I just played Raging Loop, another visual novel that PQube localized the same year, and it had none of these problems, it's strange that this game has this many problems in it. 246. Severed May 22, 2022 Severed is a short action adventure/dungeon crawler hybrid which uses slashes on the touch screen as your attacks. The game features three dungeons to explore with various secrets and other puzzles to unlock as you go through each. The only hard part of the game was finding all the mementos - the battle leading towards the second memento is the hardest in the game, and the third memento's puzzle is very strange and I doubt I would have figured it out without a guide. The highlight of the game is the combat system, where you deal damage by swiping the enemy on the touch screen - damage done is dependent on how long the slash was. You can also repeatedly slash back and forth on an enemy to keep dealing damage repeatedly. Enemies will of course have certain weak points that are the only place that is vulnerable and/or have armor that will need to be cleared with a power attack. Except for the one battle I mentioned above, I was pretty impressed with the system and was surprised how well it worked with the Vita's touch screen. 247. Blue Reflection: Second Light May 30, 2022 A much needed improvement over the original game in the story and character development, however the game quickly becomes extremely easy and I do not think a single boss really challenged me after the first area (and in NG+, Hard mode stopped being challenging about halfway through the game). Which was a problem with the first game, too, and it doesn't help that they locked hard difficulty behind beating the game the first time. A shame because the battle system has a lot of neat ideas and good depth to it. On a positive note, the gameplay loop does a good job of fleshing out the character of every party member and support member in the game, so that you really do get attached to these characters after a while. Plus, there's even more events in NG+ and you probably won't get all the characters to talent level 10 in a fresh run, so at the time I hadn't seen all of these! It's great to see a conclusion to all the individual storylines by seeing a final event in their dungeons. For some reason, the true ending isn't needed for the platinum, but I plan to get it later anyways. 248. Ganbare: Super Strikers [PS4] June 4, 2022 Runs much better than the Vita version and you can even fast forward through the other team's turns. Very easy to just run one person up to the goal and super shot it in, though, just like I did in the Vita run through. 249. Nexoria: Dungeon Rogue Heroes [PS5] June 11, 2022 A short roguelike dungeon game where you create a party of various classes and explore five floors of a dungeon. Saw it on PSN for sale, so I decided to pick it up. It's pretty average and I got through most of my first run because the Curse spell is ridiculously overpowered. You have to beat the game three times to get the last kill needed for the platinum, so I did another run after the one above to hopefully find a mimic, which I did. Then I just reloaded that run after beating the last boss of its run to fight the last boss of the game. Assassin tanked pretty much everything while invisible, Fire Mage set everyone on fire, Explosion Mage poisoned everything and the Healer healed. Sadly a lot of the classes are pretty useless, but it happens! 250. Marvel's Spider-Man July 23, 2022 A nice milestone platinum! Similar to #150 I picked a game that referenced some of my hobbies outside of video games. I haven't followed the comic in many years now, but I did read many superhero comics when I was a kid, and Spider-Man was always my favorite. It was definitely a treat to play through, and even though I liked it a lot now, I feel that I would have liked the game even more back then. The platinum itself was simple, and you'll get almost all the trophies on the way to completing the story, getting 100% in all districts, and unlocking all the suits. Despite being an open-world game the game doesn't overstay its welcome and takes about 30 hours to finish. (My in-game clock said 38 hours, but I did leave it on for long periods of time without playing.) I will do the DLC at a later date. 251. Cinders August 6, 2022 Cinders is a visual novel that takes a different approach on the Cinderella story, with the protagonist being a much more interesting character than the girl in the original fairy tale. Based on the choices made, she can have various endings that can range from taking over her stepmother's noble house to being thrown in the royal dungeon, dying an early death. There are many variations to each ending as well, and the platinum requires every single variation to be found. It's a very short VN though - clocks in at around 2 hours for a first play through and you can auto-skip any seen dialogue after, and there is a lot of shared dialogue as most of the events in-game are the same despite the different ending scenes. I enjoyed it enough, but wish there was a little more variation between the routes. 252. Steam Tactics [Vita] August 17, 2022 A very basic strategy RPG with an almost non-existent storyline. It was a good time waster for around six hours - there's forty story missions that take place in an 8x6 grid and you have anywhere from 2 to 4 characters on your side (depending on how far into the story you are) to defeat the 3 to 6 enemy ships in the grid. As long as you replay story missions on higher difficulties for better rewards and constantly upgrade your ships and weapons, it's an easy ride to the end. Most of the ships and weapons I used were the third tier when I finished the final battle. There's no miscellaneous trophies either - all the trophies will be unlocked through the story or through upgrading your items. 253. Fantasy Strike August 21, 2022 A free-to-play fighter that is trying to be more simplistic in its controls, but ends up just making mockery of itself due to how many times it can crash. It's like a joke that this game was put on any storefront with how badly it performs. It could be a decent fighter otherwise, I got pretty decent with Rook after having to play him for so long in survival and online matches. Either way, I deleted it and will move on. 254. Adam's Venture: Origins August 21, 2022 I paid $0.19 for this game and I still feel like I got ripped off. Though I will say that some of the puzzles in the game are very well made, and that gives it a slight positive. The stealth and minecart sections are both annoying, and there's no combat at all so the game just feels like a worse version of Tomb Raider or Uncharted. There are also a bunch of Christian references throughout, with some puzzles revolving around certain Bible passages. Also, Adam is an annoying protagonist overall and makes a lot of stupid jokes throughout the game. I do wonder why the developer stopped making these games though, as this is the last game they made before switching completely to VR game production, and they were clearly setting up to make another game based on the ending. 255. Yumeutsutsu Re:Master September 8, 2022 I wasn't originally going to buy this game, but the chance of one of the last Vita physical titles was an interesting sell. Mainly because some of the games have some very disturbing themes from this developer, mainly in the bad endings. Only one of them really annoyed me enough, and it's a good thing too because the rest of this visual novel has some pretty good storylines, with some interesting tidbits of how the game industry works scattered throughout - as the characters in the game are making their own visual novel remake throughout the entire storyline. The game's title is even a pun on remastering a game. 256. Nexoria: Dungeon Rogue Heroes [PS4] September 10, 2022 With the knowledge from my first run above, I tried to speedrun this as fast as possible... but still got stuck on the RNG trophy of finding a mimic treasure chest, so it still took over two hours to finish this when it definitely would have taken less without that. Still got on the top 50 fastest finishers, though! 257. The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story September 14, 2022 Another live action mystery game directed by the main writer of 428: Shibuya Scramble is definitely a game that is right up my alley, though it took a while for me to play it since its release back in May. TrueTrophies' Warboats' trophy selection threw its first trophy on one of my boards, so I fired at that spot (a miss) and continued the game after the event ended. The mystery story is top-notch and spans a number of eras in Japan, focusing on the Shijima family throughout its six chapters. The game portion is basically making as many hypotheses as possible in a grid based on the clues and dialogue you collect through the story. As you might expect, some of these hypotheses can be ridiculous or nonsensical based on other evidence or just reality in general. Then you present your deductions - but there's no way to actually fail this portion (you get a grade on the deduction, but it's irrelevant for anything besides a single S rank trophy), as the 'detective' will simply think 'no, that's not right' and let you pick another choice. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, but the gameplay really needed some better mechanics. Would be interesting if we see another game from this developer in the future, as this is their first release. 258. MUSYNX [PS4] September 18, 2022 The final game started for Jem's MAFFA event is finished so I can finally close the chapter on that. I wasn't too fond of this game the second time around, though, so I'm glad it's finished again. Probably will not look into any of the other stacks. 259. VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action [PS4] September 20, 2022 This stack, however, I enjoyed just as much as my original play through in it. Hated the side scrolling horizontal shooter minigame, just like my first run, but I still managed to clear it for the second time so it wasn't too much of an issue. 260. Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! [PS5] September 30, 2022 Just Monika. Platinums #261-280 Spoiler 261. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II October 3, 2022 A very fun title and much better than Cold Steel I. Platinum is the standard Trails trophies, with all character notes, enemy descriptions, fish, master quartz, etc. And of course choosing everyone in the designated scene in the Finale. Most of my nightmare playthrough was Laura using her S-Craft and Emma blasting everything with Claiomh Solarion. None of the battles were that challenging on a NG+. I've already said I won't be moving on to Cold Steel III until I've played Zero and Azure, though I did skip Trails in the Sky the 3rd because it wasn't released yet when I started Cold Steel I, so it might be best to play that one instead. 262. Kawaii Deathu Desu October 6, 2022 This beat-em-up has monster and undead idols beating up on their crazed fans to gather souls. At least, that's what happens when you play it; there's no story or anything to tell me if I'm correct or not. The game itself is very short, you can probably unlock and clear all of the stages just by using all your souls to level up the character you start with, and finish in about two or three hours. However, the platinum requires 11,000 kills from each of the first six characters (the other three characters were a later addition, and have no trophies attached), as well as getting all of them to level 9 (which will take longer than getting the required 66,000 kills needed). There is a method using the cloud save to get the trophies faster but it only saves a few hours in total, so I didn't bother and just played it normally. In the end, it took about twelve hours and a lot of hammering the L1 and R1 buttons; a good time waster between other games. 263. Utawarerumono: ZAN October 8, 2022 The last of the English Utawarerumono releases on PSN, ZAN takes the Mask of Deception storyline, replaces the strategy RPG battles with a musou ripoff that plays like Senran Kagura, while stripping all of the slice of life cutscenes from the original game (taking the 30 hour storyline to about five hours). As such, it's not very good and you can easily break the game with Atuy and her lightning attack. There isn't much else to say about this game; the platinum just has you beat all levels on normal and hard, as well as complete all the Free Missions. 264. Crazy Chicken Remake [PS5] November 19, 2022 I originally started this for another TrueTrophies thing with the monthly targets, as it was classified as a FPS (it isn't, it's more of an arcade shooter) but it counted for that. Now, I used its platinum to get through today's Leap Frog target. There's not much to speak of in it - there's only a single level, so it's not really anything special. The trophies are basic and just require a good high score. 265. Spirit Hunter: NG November 20, 2022 The sequel to Death Mark, Spirit Hunter: NG tells a similar story, with the main character being cursed by a spirit and the exorcism of other spirits to finally remove the curse. I found NG to be a bit worse than Death Mark overall, though, due to its extremely small maps compared to its predecessor. You could probably fit the entirety of the first three chapters' maps in the school from the first game, which for an adventure game like this seems somewhat of a lack of content. The Vita version, which I played, also suffers from text going off the text box in many places, most commonly in the notes between chapters and in some of the crisis choices, so Aksys clearly did not test this version at all since both problems are very obvious. However, the game does a lot better with the characters compared to the first game. Most of the characters in Death Mark would only stay around for a chapter or two and then disappear - the main cast of NG sticks around throughout the whole game and there are a few character endings depending on your dialogue options. 266. Yumeutsutsu Re:After November 22, 2022 This is a fandisc sequel to #255 Yumeutsutsu Re:Master above. However, I haven't actually read it yet, so I'll update this writeup once I do. 267. Adventures of MANA November 22, 2022 I have only beaten one Mana game before this one, and it was Children of Mana back on the DS (and it wasn't very good). This game was much shorter and a lot more fun to play, and with the better translation it was pretty clear on what to do despite the limited dialogue. Since the game was initially a mobile phone game, it made heavy use of the touch screen (you could use the face buttons if you wished) and I had no problem using the touch controls to attack and use magic spells in battle. Getting to level 99 by repeatedly killing elephants in the final dungeon actually wasn't that bad, the real annoying part of the platinum was getting one of each item in the game, some of which are rare drops from certain enemies. Since you can't leave the final dungeon once entered, I had to load up a save file prior to doing so and farmed the rest of the items needed, except one which is, of course, in the final dungeon itself (I had the all armor, weapons, helms, and shields in the first run). 268. Fifty Words by POWGI [Vita] November 24, 2022 Another word search game by POWGI where you have a huge grid filled with fifty words around a certain theme. It's very easy to get all the trophies without finishing everything, but I took the time to complete all the puzzles in the game. Other than that, there's not much else to say about this one. 269. Breeder Homegrown: Director's Cut November 25, 2022 I played through this and got all the trophies and I'm still not really sure what happened in this game. It's a horror adventure game, sure, but events seem disjointed and out of place and there's plenty of hallucinations going on so I mostly just got confused as to what the actual plot is. I really don't recommend it unless you want the quick platinum trophy. 270. Tic-Tac-Letters by POWGI [Vita] November 26, 2022 "A Strange Game" according to the platinum trophy, Tic-Tac-Letters has you filling in multiple grids with 2 letters, making every row and column different and not repeating the same letter three times in a row. It's definitely pretty challenging as the game progresses. Again, being a POWGI title there's not much to say about this one either. 271. Fifty Words by POWGI [PS4] November 30, 2022 Thanks Leap Frog. 272. Puyo Puyo Champions December 1, 2022 I believe this game came out between the two Puyo Puyo Tetris titles to very little announcement. It basically has the two Puyo rulesets from Puyo Puyo 2 and Puyo Puyo Fever... and that's it, there's no story or additional modes here (though they added some challenge modes in a title update later). Luckily, adjusting the settings makes it easy to grab all clears, counterattack kills, and popped puyos so the entire list is pretty simple to finish, despite the UR rarity on PSNP. The only annoyance is probably the 200 online matches (100 in free play and 100 ranked), which I did with my alt playing on PS4 and my main on the PS5. Servers are pretty dead so there was no one else online. 273. Everything December 2, 2022 Well, now that I've completed Everything, I guess that means that's it, right? In all seriousness, Everything is a trip through all kinds of objects from the subatomic level all the way up to the galactic level. There are well over a thousand objects to descend or ascend into throughout the game - I found at least 51% of the items and was around 700 total items collected. The platinum only requires a small amount of total items in different categories for certain trophies, while having you perform a bunch of other actions (such as generating thoughts, transforming, and dancing) throughout the game for the rest of them. The game also includes 66 audio tapes from philosopher Alan Watts, which can be interesting when compared to the game itself (and all 66 are required for the platinum). In the end, I had to let the game autoplay itself to generate more thoughts to collect the last trophy. Not really interested in finding the items that I do not have either. At least I can still laugh every time Wario64 makes the joke when this game is on sale. 274. Burnout Paradise: Remastered December 3, 2022 I never played the original Burnout Paradise so this was completely new for me - and I enjoyed it a lot, actually! Each of the various events are very fun to mess around in, though they did get a bit repetitive going up to the Burnout license. Similarly, the showtime and time road rules are nice challenges but there are so many roads that I only did enough for each trophy's requirement. I think my favorite part of the game was when I was just starting and going through yellow gates and billboards for the first time. The trophy list in general is very lacking compared to what's actually in the game, since there's no requirement to smash all the yellow gates or billboards, get the Burnout Elite license, or complete all the road routes or anything like that. Thanks to Berendsapje for the boost of all the 2-player multiplayer trophies. I'll have to do the 8-player one at some point. 275. What Remains of Edith Finch [PS5] December 4, 2022 The PS4 release had no platinum trophy, so it was nice to be able to get one in this release! I even managed to catch two rabbits in two sweeps which I didn't do in my original PS4 run (did it in a replay of the chapter). The added trophies were no problem to finish off, and the cannery episode is still the best one. (It did load my PS4 save when I opened the game, but I opted for a full replay of the game instead.) 276. Crazy Chicken: Jump 'n' Run - Traps and Treasures December 6, 2022 An old budget 2D platformer that's been remade from a game released back in 2005, this has you control a chicken through various forest and ruins levels to find a magical amulet. To get all the trophies and unlock the bonus levels, you need to collect all coins and artifacts hidden in the game, plus defeat all enemies. I did manage to collect all the items and defeat every enemy in around three hours. Still had a few problems, like this one artifact that seemed slightly out of reach (somehow jumping while punching worked). There's a second game that's been released on the Switch but not on PS4/PS5, but based on this one I probably won't buy it. 277. Crazy Chicken Kart 2 December 7, 2022 Here's another in the same series above, this is a simple kart racer. There's only eight tracks and two championships so there isn't much to be done here - the only reason the platinum takes a while is that you need to play 100 races and lose at least 50 of them. Kind of dumb, but I finished it and it's done. 278. Unpacking [PS4] December 8, 2022 An indie game where you unpack boxes with items over a person's life, from a child in 1997 and progressing through the many years of their life. It is interesting to see which items keep coming back every move, like the pig plushie which appears in all of the levels. My only complaint is how inflexible the game can get with placing certain items - there were multiple times where I completely disagreed with where the game wanted me to put some items. The platinum requires doing a few extra tasks in each year such as flushing all the toilets to unlock stickers on the menu screen, each one corresponding to a certain trophy. It's not a very in-depth game, but it was a good four hours of content, and that was good enough for me. 279. Unpacking [PS5] December 10, 2022 yep 280. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe December 11, 2022 This milestone kind of snuck up on me as I was at 14,991 trophies before I noticed I was close to it, but I still managed to line up a trophy of a great game. I had played The Stanley Parable many years ago on PC and enjoyed it then, but never finished getting some of the achievements in it. Being more interested in PSN trophies means when I bought it here I would get all the ones I didn't get on PC, such as the 4:22 speedrun and 'playing' the game for an entire Tuesday. I'm also very impressed with all that Ultra Deluxe brings to an already great game, by doubling the amount of endings (thanks to the bucket), revamping the games ending, and even implementing the 8 room from the demo in a clever way. One of my favorite games from this year. Platinums #281-300 Spoiler 281. Return of the Obra Dinn December 12, 2022 Return of the Obra Dinn is another indie title made by Lucas Pope after Papers, Please. I always liked Papers, Please so I thought I would also enjoy this title as well. And for a while, I think it was very interesting progressing through the mystery and finding out the certain fates of the crew members onboard. However, as the game progressed, I found many things to be annoying; mainly the inability to look at a specific death scene whenever possible (and when loading it up, the audio plays while moving in the scene, which is incredibly distracting). Also to note is the minimalist art style makes it very hard to see certain death scenes or pinpoint a cause of death - I had many people with the wrong cause of death for a good amount of time because I just couldn't see what the game wanted me to. Finally, I'll admit that I brute forced a bunch of the puzzles as some of the hints were really obtuse - I looked at the ways you were 'supposed' to figure out everyone without guessing and there was no way I was figuring some of these out, especially coupled with the art style. I did find the game to be interesting enough throughout, but in the end I was somewhat disappointed overall. I do recommend playing it at least once though - maybe at a steep discount. 282. Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi December 13, 2022 This is the PS3 release of the Hakuoki series, and is still the only English release of various side stories that make up around half of the trophy list. These side stories are only around five to six hours in total, so it's not completely worth checking out if you have played the game on another platform (like I did with the two Vita versions). Otherwise, I had played the Vita versions, so the actual main story portion was just a recap for me and I mostly skipped through it. Still not a fan of the protagonist. 283. Ghost of Tsushima (PS5) December 14, 2022 yep 284. TOEM: A Photo Adventure December 15, 2022 TOEM: A Photo Adventure was one of the PS5 games included in PS+ Essential back in September. Finally went and played it this month, and was impressed. It's a very relaxing game, not one that I would have picked up otherwise if it wasn't on PS+. The basic premise is that the main character is tasked with finding TOEM, which is said to be at the top of a mountain peak. To get there, the main character helps out various characters throughout a number of towns with tasks using a camera, collecting stamps that can be used for a free bus ride. Game took around four hours to complete, and there's also a short DLC as well which I finished in about a hour and a half. 285. Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse December 16, 2022 I originally played the game that was split into the two episodes on the Vita (as you can see on the 100% games list), but it's been so long that I forgot... pretty much the entire storyline, because I didn't remember anything as I was playing through it again. Though, after playing it again, I think it's pretty obvious why I didn't because the game's story is average at best and the puzzles are either very easy or ridiculously obtuse at times. 286. Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls January 1, 2023 First platinum trophy of 2023! I played through most of this game while away on vacation since it was a perfect Vita title to spend some time with, and a pretty simple platinum to achieve as well. It's done by the same developer Felistella that worked with Idea Factory on the Re;Birth titles, so it ends up being one of the better, if not the best, Neptunia spinoff overall (though that isn't saying that much). Platinum does require level 99 and max lily ranks between all characters, but the grind is lessened in this game as max lily rank only goes up to 5, which saves a ton of time overall. As an aside, though it wasn't required, I also unlocked every skill slot and job for every character, and leveled all characters' jobs to max level 50. Total time was around 27 hours on the in-game counter. 287. Sly 2: Band of Thieves January 1, 2023 Considering PSNProfiles says this game took me four years, five months to finally complete a fifteen hour game, it's no surprise that I was not a fan of the game. I much rather would have the more compact levels from Sly 1 instead of the open world hubs that Sly 2 had. Also, while Sly and Murray were always enjoyable to play as, I hated practically every time I had to play as Bentley except for the episode seven boss fight. However, I do like the story and characters, which were as enjoyable as they were in the first game. At this point though, I know I own both Sly 3 and Thieves in Time but I don't know if I ever will play either game after how long this one took. At the very least, I've finally freed up more space on my Vita that can be used for other games. 288. AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initaitive January 6, 2023 Quite the ride to get here! Compared to the original game, the Somniums are much more intuitive than the first game, which was more trial and error than anything. I have seen a lot of people dislike the story line though, but I found it to be just as fulfilling as the original game. Also, while it doesn't completely eliminate the stupid jokes with Date, removing him as the main character and having Ryuki and Mizuki as the leads thankfully reduce it a good deal. With the improved Somniums, this game probably reaches into my top 25, so not the best of the Uchikoshi titles, but it's definitely up there. The platinum requires finding all of the hidden eyeballs in the Somniums - instead of one per Somnium there's now FIVE, and they frequently disappear or become inaccessible after making certain choices. I remember looking at one through an entire cutscene in a Somnium that I couldn't grab because there was no exploration after that point. Gone are the trophies to do QTE scenes perfectly and they are replaced with doing VR deduction scenes perfectly, which is a good change. Though one thing I didn't like is how a good deal of the Trivia entries are locked if you say you have played the original game - and if you do say this, there's a very slim margin of error in getting the one trophy related to it. I did manage it, but I even missed one trivia entry at some point. Finally, the 999 easter egg at the very end of the game is well done, and I hope it leads to something in the future from that series. 289. Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars January 14, 2023 It feels like this game just came out, and somehow it's already the third game in its series. Yoko Taro is a madman. Anyway, if you're looking for a card battle game or a Yoko Taro epic story, this is not the game for you. However, if you're looking for a good turn-based RPG with some darker story beats, this definitely fits that description! It's a nice short title, clocking it at about fifteen hours to finish the story and an extra few to cleanup the bonus boss and a few miscellaneous trophies. Battle system and exploration is fun (except for the one place you have limited movement, I explored every tile in the game), and I enjoyed the story as it unfolded. The only thing I didn't like is how many tries it took me to get the skill from the suspicious doctor trophy, as he appeared three times during my main run and two times during NG+ before I finally got the skill from him. If you do decide to play it, make sure to turn on high speed mode in the options, as the base speed of the game is painfully slow at times (and you have to turn it on every time you start the game, as it doesn't save this option.) 290. Long Live the Queen [PS5] January 21, 2023 Played this back on its original release on Steam, where it has almost three times more achievements in it than it has trophies on PSN. Still, there was a good amount of tasks I never bothered to do back then, so it was interesting unlocking the events in this version of the game. I actually still have the game downloaded if I really want to complete all of the items in the in-game database. Maybe at some point. 291. Ganbare! Super Strikers [PS5] January 21, 2023 This is the 3rd time I've played this game in a Trophy Hunters League fixture. It's still the same game, but it runs somewhat better. Moving on. 292. Mighty Math January 22, 2023 A very simplistic game where positive and negative numbers fly out from the sides of the screen, and you have to collect them but stay within the range of 0 thru 9, anywhere over or under that range ends the game. I still really liked it regardless, even if there's no real reason to play for that long - the 4,500 score trophy popped as I died on stage 18, which isn't long in at all. I recommend it for a nice short completion that isn't shovelware, if you're into that. 293. One Piece: Burning Blood January 27, 2023 I really should stop buying these anime arena fighters. However, regarding this game, it is much more fun based on swapping characters to deal more damage and escape combos, and in the story mode you're usually given only one character. Good job, developers. The platinum requires all story mode battles to be completed, including some with special requirements to unlock. Some of these additional missions are the hardest in the game, even harder than the wanted posters where you are up against nine characters. I completed most of the additional content outside of story mode with Luffy, Whitebeard, and Ace as my trio with Gold Roger as support. 294. Murdered: Soul Suspect February 28, 2023 Murdered: Soul Suspect is a decent adventure game, and the story is well done. I also liked some of the short stories that unlocked after you collected a number of items in each area. Speaking of collectibles, though - there are 242 collectibles scattered throughout the entire game. It's almost impossible to find all of them without a guide, especially in the case of the Ghost Girl messages which are just hidden on random walls in the game. Not to mention that one area becomes inaccessible at one point, so hopefully you got all of the ones in there before then! The combat and stealth mechanics are basically just a simple QTE and don't add anything to the game - it would be probably better if expanded or just removed all together. The investigation mechanics are also very simple, basically run around the room and investigate everything, then either come up with a conclusion - or the game will just solve it on its own and you don't get to actually do anything. I also had numerous bugs that popped up during the play through, one where the audio just completely cut out, and another where the 'next objective' was escape the attic for the entire play through even hours after I did so, even in the final area. All of these add up to a pretty mediocre title overall, even with the decent storyline. 295. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot May 1, 2023 It's just a stack autopop, but at least the trophy image is cool. 296. Final Fantasy May 3, 2023 Back to where it all began. I had already beaten Final Fantasy in the past, so I tried out a new team in this one - tried out the 8-Bit Theater team to see how well a run without a white mage would be. Guess it was not a bad choice as this version is much easier than others; the map pretty much reveals all the rooms with chests so you can safely avoid others, and only two fights really were any challenge - Warmech and the final boss itself. (Though Warmech might have been more challenging had the party not gained 12 levels trying to find him. 1% chances are terrible). This is also the fastest version as the auto-battle speeds you through random encounters so you don't have to mash A or X. Or you can just avoid them all together (I didn't). Took around 8 hours for the story, and then another 1 and a half to find Warmech and complete the bestiary for the last trophy. I have downloaded Final Fantasy II already, but won't play it right now, at least. 297. Gal*Gun 2 May 21, 2023 Compared to the other Gal*Gun game that released in English, Double Peace, this game manages to be worse in every way possible. Gameplay is now not completely on rails and instead you move from position to position, boss battles are absolutely pathetic and not a challenge at all, and the game is really short even when going for some of the longer endings. There's also less characters, so you'll see the same girls appear in multiple missions and sometimes multiple times per mission. I was able to remember most of the weak spots based on the girls' appearances because they show up so much. The fanservice is about the same as it was in Double Peace. Like I said above though, it's still better than Our World is Ended, but you're better off playing Double Peace instead as it's a good game with the fanservice. 298. Where the Water Tastes Like Wine June 3, 2023 This game has you control someone traveling through the entirety of the US sometime in the early 20th century, collecting stories and then telling them to various characters at campfires. Each one of the 16 named characters has a separate story to tell, and all of them are fully voiced. Even has a random appearance by Sting, who voices one of the game's characters. The game is rather short - even with the slow walking speed you'll probably be finished around or before the twelve hour mark, with another three cleaning up any loose stories lying around. That is, if you don't hit one of the bugs the game can sometimes fall into. One bug I got happened where the game would just repeatedly spawn one story over and over again near the end, and not let me unlock the last of the Carnival stories I needed to finish that trophy, and the forum for the game had several people report a similar bug with the Devil stories. I had to do an additional playthrough where I ignored the named characters and just collected stories, which took another three hours. Still, I enjoyed my time with the stories that did appear, and the visuals and music are some of the best I've seen in a video game. 'White Rider' and 'Heavy Hands' are both fantastic tracks and I purchased the full album on Bandcamp to add these to my music library. It's a shame that the creator said that the game was a commercial failure, so we probably won't see another game like this one from him. 299. Granblue Fantasy: Versus June 18, 2023 This fighting game based on Granblue Fantasy was given out on PS+ at some point but I had already bought it at the time. I never did make it far in the story mode until I decided to beat the game for TrueTrophies' Leap Frog contest, as the influx of PS+ players increased the value of its beat the game trophy... and its platinum, of course, which is why I held onto it for a while due to the current contest. The platinum itself is not too difficult overall, just a few trophies stand out; the Luminiera Blade Omega, which I touched on in a previous post above, and the various use a move 10 times trophies, which I did by just setting up a versus match with a second controller. There's already a sequel in the works - I'm not sure if I'll pick that one up since I wasn't too impressed with this game in general. More interested in Relink if that ever comes out! 300. Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line June 19, 2023 Before I basically committed myself to Sony's gaming systems, my DS and 3DS were definitely my most used systems, more than any console, and far outpacing any time I spent playing the PSP, Wii, and even the PS3 for a good while. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy - Curtain Call was, and still is, my favorite 3DS title. So for my 300th platinum milestone this was an easy choice to make here. While this game had the most songs included in it (though did we really need six or more copies of the same song), I still feel Curtain Call was a better overall game with the quests it had rather than the series quest and endless mode included in this one. I'll keep the game around to play some of the DLC later. Still interested in what they will put in the final DLC that is still not revealed. Platinums #301-320 Spoiler 301. Shady Part of Me June 24, 2023 In this indie puzzle platformer, you control two girls - one a shadow, that runs in the background, and another normal, who cannot be exposed to light. The puzzles revolve around these two concepts. The story is simple, but well thought out and the voice acting does a good job of supporting the game. Took me four hours to play through all four acts. There's not much else to the game - the last part to the platinum was to collect all origami cranes that are scattered throughout the acts. Thing is the game is very linear, so there's not many places to hide them - some are just in plain sight. There's a few tricky ones that I missed when I cleaned the game up. 302. Party Golf June 25, 2023 This would be a great party game if the game itself wasn't so unstable and had so many crash bugs, which explains the rarity of some of the trophies - you literally have to quit and let the game reset to get some of the cumulative trophies such as playing 1,000 rounds. I did actually have some fun with the game even if the AI isn't particularly good at the game and the trophy list is just a lot of random tasks. 303. MIND≒0 June 25, 2023 MIND≒0 is someone's Persona fanfiction made into a game, which tells you all you need to know about the story. It also ends in a cliffhanger and there's no sequel in sight. It's a shame because the gameplay on EXPERT difficulty for a dungeon crawler is actually really good and is an exceptional challenge going through the entire game. Not only are the bosses and sidequest monsters really difficult, but the random battles even can be deadly. 304. Phantom Breaker: Omnia June 25, 2023 Phantom Breaker: Omnia is an odd case. On one hand, it's an indie fighting game with a full English dub and even brought in the Funimation dub actors for the SciAdv guest characters. It's also nice to finally find out what was actually happening in Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, as one of the endings leads into that one. On the other hand, there's no rollback netcode and no command list for the characters in-game. I have the command list, but I have a physical copy with a booklet of them. I don't think I ever saw anyone online anyway so it's probably completely dead by now. 305. Stranded Deep July 9, 2023 I'm sure most of you on this website knows what happened here. I normally dislike these survival games so I probably would not have downloaded and played it otherwise if this bug didn't surface. Anyway, moving on. 306. Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle July 12, 2023 A spinoff of the good puzzle title Slayaway Camp, this one has you sliding Jason Voorhees through a number of puzzles where his goal is to kill everyone in each puzzle. There's a total of 13 chapters and a daily puzzle section, so it's a good amount of content. Sadly the developers couldn't renew the license to the game, so it's delisted everywhere - which is unfortunate, as some of the puzzles are very well constructed. 307. Ord. July 18, 2023 Ord. is a very simple game told in three word passages; the game chooses the first word, you choose between two words for the second, and the game replies with another word. No graphics otherwise, and limited sound effects. There are five stories included in Ord., each with a number of endings and trophies to collect from each. The format leads to some pretty funny reactions and also some bizarre ones like the main character testing a guillotine by cutting off their head. While most of the game's endings are pretty simple to get via trial and error, a guide is probably needed to get some of the trophies in the game, plus hoping the RNG gives you some of the events needed to unlock all the trophies. 308. The Solitaire Conspiracy August 7, 2023 The Solitaire Conspiracy is a different take on a game of solitaire, where each suit represents a different spy group. Each suit's face cards has a separate 'power' when placed on a column - one group sorts the column in numerical order, while another group randomizes the cards in the column. The campaign itself takes about two to three hours at most, while you have some FMV cutscenes of Greg Miller talking to you through most of them. It's a pretty barebones story that's also pretty predictable, but it works for the game's length. The platinum trophy requires only completing the campaign, doing a few skirmishes, and then reaching wave 15 in a survival mode where you are timed on your progress... which I managed to do on my first try and was no challenge at all. I liked the game enough to continue playing a bit more after the platinum to unlock the last two spy groups, which you can only do after completing the campaign for whatever reason. 309. Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles August 18, 2023 Strangely enough I bought this game knowing absolutely nothing about Demon Slayer, which also extends to a bunch of the anime games I have in my collection (such as the Girls und Panzer and Black Clover games). This one is just a typical arena fighter, which is the standard anime adaptation to video game form - and is basically the same as the Naruto ninja storm ones given the same developer. The platinum requires a full S-rank through the story, which is pretty simple except for the fight at the end of the Mugen Train arc (not the 'special' fight afterwards). I probably had to go through that one around 30 times to get the S-rank, where I probably didn't have to reset that many times throughout the entire rest of the game. 310. Costume Kingdom August 25, 2023 This game is basically a mix between Costume Quest and Pokemon. You would think that would be a good combination, however the Hallowmon are limited to only four types and eleven monsters overall, which severely limits what you can do with the game. Even with the game only taking at most three hours, it's still pretty limiting - though I enjoyed the game for what it was. I speedran the game so I now am the fastest achiever by over a half hour. 311. Corpse Party August 26, 2023 This is somewhat of a stack with the very old PSP port! I played that close to its original release back then, and it had a bug where you couldn't collect the last nametag due to a glitch. That glitch doesn't affect this version so I will head back later on and finish off the ending and nametag list and finally get the 100% that eluded me for over a decade. 312. WorldEnd Syndrome (NA) August 26, 2023 Another stack... since I played the EU version first because I wanted a physical version and NA didn't get one for whatever reason. This game was saved up for whenever I made the finals in the Trophy Hunters League, since I knew the storyline already and could get the platinum quickly - which is what basically happened. 313. Kawaii Deathu Desu (Vita) September 9, 2023 This one's a stack, seems like the game wasn't even completed on Vita as some of the character sprites clip through the background and it's a big mess (though some of the costumes fix that). Even with the Vita version permanently discounted and the added touch screen controls it's probably better to play the PS4 version. 314. Death end re;Quest 2 September 18, 2023 The second game in this series kind of destroys everything that the first game made good - the protagonists are once again teenagers in a school setting, and the battle system is heavily simplified compared to the first game. I still enjoyed parts of it, including the connections to the first game in the NG+ run, but it wasn't as good overall. The platinum is basically the same list as the first, but requires all bad endings (though there are less of them in this title) and the bonus dungeon has puzzles scattered throughout its runtime. However, with a spinoff and a sequel announced rceently, I am interested to see where they take this story, as the NG+ ending of DERQ 2 was basically a non-ending with a sequel hook. 315. Death end re;Quest October 7, 2023 The first game in the series, in contrast to the second one, is probably Compile Heart's best game they've ever developed. The story is really good and focuses on older protagonists (the main character is 27, which is extremely rare in any JRPG) while the battle system is an extension of what they used in the Neptunia series, with a lot of added functions such as knocking the enemies around the circular field and bouncing them off the walls. The platinum required a full run and NG+ through the game, getting a number of the bad endings, and finishing the bonus dungeon (which is basically just a gauntlet of 70 monster fights and 1 boss that can counter any attack... or you use genre shift and beat him pretty easily since he can't counter that). 316. Pic-a-Pix Pieces 2 (PS4) October 8, 2023 This is the last NA Lightwood Games stack I hadn't completed that wasn't a POWGI, and even though I finished most of it I delayed this a bit until I needed some of the quick trophies in it for THL. In the original writeup for the Vita version I noted that it had some bugs and was best played on PS4... but one of those bugs is in this version too; the bug where one of the colors doesn't originally appear, and when that color is selected you can't change the color and have to quit out of the puzzle to change them. So really neither version is very good here, despite the great value of 480 puzzles included. Kind of a downer to end the Pic series on (Lightwood Games seems to be all in on POWGIs now), but it is what it is. 317. A Space for the Unbound November 10, 2023 A Space for the Unbound is an excellent trip back to 90s Indonesia, circling around two teenagers who decide to make a bucket list of things to do together. This is the backdrop of the whole story - some of the objectives are optional, but are required for the platinum and the true ending of the game. The story went through some surprising twists with the main character Atma's Spacedive powers - I especially enjoyed the Ace Attorney-like scenes where you break down a defendant's testimony by pointing out contradictions through evidence. Sadly that's only in one of the game's chapters, but it was a cool addition. Also never thought bitter melon would ever be referenced in a game, I always have some every year. Went all the way from Chapter 3 to the end - mostly because I wanted to see how this story concluded, and I was not disappointed. Definitely one of the better games of 2023, and definitely deserves a spot near the top of my list, whenever I get back to writing those! 318. Mahjong Adventure DX December 31, 2023 I've played a lot of mahjong solitaire games but I've never seen one that hates the player this much. Still extremely easy to get gold medals on all levels. Either way it fulfilled its purpose as a trophy streak extender during my vacation. 319. Honkai: Star Rail January 23, 2024 This game will eventually make its way back to the regular update schedule with more DLC if Genshin is any indication, but for now I have its platinum and all associated DLC so far finished up. I ended up spending 150+ hours on the game since the release on PS5 in early October. I still enjoy it, but at this point I'm mainly just waiting for new story content which should be out with the release of 2.0. The reason the platinum takes so much time is that they shoved getting equilibrium level 6 into the main list, which requires trailblazer level 65. The levels at that point take about 26,000 EXP each and with no additional story content it's only around 2,000 to 3,000 EXP per day. The rest of the list is just finishing companion missions, do some optional hidden achievements, and finish what was originally the first event story in the game. 320. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir January 31, 2024 Second Vanillaware title that I have gotten the platinum in (also 13 Sentinels), and third I've beaten overall (adding in Muramasa Rebirth). Great title to just play through over a few months and it helped keep a trophy streak alive during that time. Platinum requires all of the various scenes from the ending book, eating all foods at Maury's Touring Restaurant, unlocking all skills with a single character, and finishing the boss rush extra stage unlocked at the end. I did both the boss rush and level 65 with Mercedes, as she was the easiest character to deal damage at an extremely fast rate. I thought 65 might take a while to reach until I saw Gwendolyn was holding onto six Ruewort seeds for whatever reason, which sped up the process considerably. I just downloaded Dragon's Crown to my Vita so perhaps that's the next Vanillaware title to be played through? Platinums #321+ Spoiler 321. Halloween Puzzle January 31, 2024 Played it for what it is, a matching game. All difficulties are easy and require nothing more than a decent memory. 322. Yohane the Parhelion -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- February 18, 2024 At the time I completed this one, I had all the Love Live games on PSN completed, but of course a new one released in February as well. I have it here, just haven't started it yet. It's really weird going from a really amazing Metroidvania (having beaten Castlevania: Symphony of the Night a few days before getting this platinum) to this one, which is still fun but the difference is definitely startling. I still enjoyed the character interactions (as sparse as they were) and the ending sequence, including the boss rush at the end of the game. It is a very easy game overall - the only boss that really gave me trouble was the one on the Shipwreck, which was a bit of an annoyance due to the small amount of time you can actually attack him. I went into the ending sequence with more than enough potions to make it through, and still had plenty left after beating the final boss. Platinum doesn't require anything more than completing each character's sidequest, which you will do if you get all the chests in the eight areas the characters are rescued in (which I did). 323. Final Fantasy II February 28, 2024 Continuing the pixel remaster titles as I play through them in order. I still am not much of a fan of the level-up system in this game so I turned on all the boosts to finish in just a bit over 12 hours - similar to FFI in that a few hours were spent looking for the rare enemy at the end of the game (the Iron Giant) which took hundreds of battles to find. Other than that, the platinum is pretty straightforward, just have to be aware of the missable enemies, chests, passwords, and locations as the game progresses, and get a weapon and magic spell to max level. Always nice to see Minwu and Ricard again, as well. 324. Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II February 29, 2024 This game came out just a few weeks ago! It's pretty weird that I get to a game that quickly, and even rarer that I finish one that quickly as well. It's definitely a better game than NG, the previous game in the series. My two main complaints with NG were the extremely small areas and the nonsensical item usage - while I was still confused at some item usage both of these problems were definitely improved in this game. The two school buildings have a lot of spaces to explore, and there's also other areas that open up during the investigations both in the school and outside of it. Most of the characters return from the first Death Mark, only three of the Mark Bearers from that game did not appear in this one. There's a few new characters that team up with the protagonist as well. There's a bunch of RPG stats and items that affect some of the decisions you can make when confronting spirits, but ultimately they don't make much of a difference in the end. Even though they weren't required for the platinum, I still finished the True Ending and the extra episode for a more satisfying conclusion to the game and a link to NG in the extra episode. 100% games Spoiler 1. A platinum means I have the platinum, but haven't completed the DLC trophies yet. Arctic Cress
And to start the updates to this topic, a platinum trophy. #73 Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (24/36 -> 36/36) [39% -> 100%] Originally played it back in 2016 and beat the game, then put it down for over a year. Came back this month and got all the collectible trophies, A ranked all chapters, hit max level and purchased all the upgrades. While it does some things well, I didn't enjoy it and would not recommend playing it. One nice thing, though: this got me up to 400 gold trophies, which is a nice little milestone! Dunno what I'll go for next.
Arctic Cress
Well, I lost a 100% to Gems of War getting another DLC trophy set. Probably the hardest one yet according to the dev's twitter account. So I replaced it with another 100%, Strike Solitaire (+12, 12/12). I originally started it to keep my trophy streak alive on Thursday when I had limited time to grab at least trophy (and got three of them then). Since it's such a low-played game at the time of this post I have the fastest achievement time on it, though I could have done a lot better if I actually tried at it. I replaced it with... Strike Solitaire 2. Sometimes I wonder why I bought this bundle in the first place. Other changes: Gems of War (+1, 38/39) Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved (+1, 22/31) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (+1, 14/45) Nothing big yet, but hopefully soon.
Arctic Cress
Had a bit of a writing itch so I wrote a small paragraph about each one of my platinums, and organized the list so it's a little easier to read.
direct-harvest0
This is actually one the best written trophy logs that I've read on the platform in a long long time. Every game I read with the great detail you provided, really made me interested in all these new games I've not heard of and I liked reading the experience in each one. I'm surprised, shocked even that not really anyone has read this or commented because it's actually so good. The writing feels like a review from Projared at some points and I'm honestly and genuinely amazed by the amount of work and intrigue that I felt while reading this. I can't wait to see the games and experiences that you put on here and I'm going to try giving some of these games a run for the pure enjoyment again instead of just trophies sake which I haven't done in awhile.

Thanks a lot! I do enjoy writing about games that I've really liked, so I'm glad that you managed to find some new games to play. Hope you enjoy them! Got Ys VIII in the mail this week but as you might have known the NA Vita list is currently MIA. I've sent a message off to NIS America but they've been busy trying to get the DLC up, so it may take a while. I also started Stories: Path of Destinies and got my first ending in that - it's very similar to Bastion and that's a good thing for me. Going to go for the rest of the endings (and the true one) at some point. I also managed to hit chapter 7 in Neptunia Re;Birth1, having played the original (even if I didn't like it) it's interesting to see the changes between the original and the remake. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (+3, 17/45) Stories: The Path of Destinies (+10, 10/38) Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (+3, 3/51)
direct-harvest0
Do you have any completion goals or are you just playing games for fun and completing some here and there?
Arctic Cress
At the moment, no goals really. Playing games mostly for fun at the moment and continuing my trophy streak every day (the current gap in the streak is the missing Ys VIII trophies). This includes other systems as well, as I just played some Splatoon 2 last night on my Switch with a few friends. Also, I'm a big baseball fan so I tend to concentrate on that during the months that the season is on, and the Yankees will probably make the playoffs this year so it will probably stretch a bit into October as well. The only goals I have are the current tasks in the events forum that I have signed up for (the bold games in the lists above). I tend to jump from game to game a lot with no defined goals so that helps a lot with focusing on certain games. All three games updated above are on my Fall Backlog Challenge list (and all of them are good games, which also helps!)
direct-harvest0
I'm not a big sports guy myself other than sometimes liking to watch hockey, but my Dad loves baseball as well and he likes the Yankees and the White Sox so I know what you mean. Arctic Cress
My internet's been out for the past few days, so I haven't had time to update. Got some time now, though. I've had to start some of the games I've been keeping around for my trophy streak as my job is taking a lot of time lately. That put Strike Solitaire 2 and Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man onto the list. I've made my first trophy addition to Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory since May 2016, so it's nice to inch closer as I start the Good/True Ending route there. Also in the Neptunia series I've made it to the final chapter of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 and got a few miscellaneous ones there as well. I've found out how ridiculous Everybody's Golf's platinum is but I managed to grab a few trophies in that as well. Finally, I started a new route in Stories: A Path of Destinies to grab two early trophies there. Through all this, I'm steadily making progress towards that final Gems of War trophy, and I don't expect to have it until November at the earliest. This update really shows how bad I am at playing one game at a time. Oh well. Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man (New, +4, 4/21) Everybody's Golf (+4, 11/31) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (+3, 20/45) Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (+1, 21/42) Stories: A Path of Destinies (+2, 12/38) Strike Solitaire 2 (New, +6, 6/12) I think I'll have something completed by next week. I don't know what game it will be, but I want to get something done before Danganronpa V3 comes.
Arctic Cress
So I decided because I started it, might as well get it finished. Another platinum for the list: #74 Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man (+17, 21/21) It's almost the exact same list as Arcade Game Series: Pac-Man, with an easier fruit basket trophy (because of the random pretzel), a no warp trophy, and less items to eat. All in all it's an easier list to go through, but still fun to play. Also beat Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 with both the Good and True Endings. I got Uni in this play through so I'll focus on getting the other three sisters in the next play through. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (+4, 24/45) Strike Solitaire 2 (+1, 7/12)
ZombHunter13
Looks like you have quite a nicely sized backlog. I really like the way you have your trophy checklist organized by the way. I notice that one of your event games is Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, I hope that you have an easier time getting into it than I have and best of luck on the playthroughs required to platinum it. I look forward to reading more about your gaming/hunting endeavours.

I look forward to reading more about your gaming/hunting endeavours. Thanks! I beat both stories in the GBA version of Chain of Memories and am aware of the number of playthroughs it takes to platinum it so I know somewhat about what I'm getting into there. Bought three physical games released yesterday, Blue Reflection (PS4), Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (Vita), and Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (PS4). I've added them all to the list above. In trophy progress, I started the aforementioned Danganronpa V3 and finished Chapter 9 of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. The big splash on my trophy list this time is Stories: Path of Destinies, bringing it to two trophies away from the platinum by unlocking all four truths and playing through the true ending there. There's 26 endings in total to collect truths to get one trophy (I have the minimum 4 playthroughs) and a number of level-ups for the other. Might get that done over the weekend. There's also some miscellaneous trophies from other games as well. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (New, +1, 1/41) Everybody's Golf (+1, 12/31) Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart (+1, 16/52) Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (+2, 23/42) Stories: A Path of Destinies (+23, 35/38) Strike Solitaire 2 (+1, 8/12) Hey, looks like the Ys VIII Vita list is up, finally. Too bad I'm going to be playing Danganronpa instead so I won't be going back to it yet. Oh well. Edited October 2, 2017 by Arctic Cress
Arctic Cress
Since last update, I got my 50th 100% non-platinum title, Strike Solitaire 2. Strike Solitaire 2 (+4, 12/12) Easier trophies than the first game but more boring and unfair levels instead. I fell asleep playing it one night, so after that I didn't bother trying to become fastest achiever like I did on the first game. Also finished trial 1 in Danganronpa V3 (and got the slot machine trophy on the first spin, somehow), the good ending in Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, and 2,500 monsters defeated Sorcery Saga. The big increase in trophies came from Everybody's Golf, where I finished the Rank 3 challenge tournaments, hit a lucky albatross out of nowhere, and sunk two shots with a rising and homing shot to bring it up to 18/31. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (+7, 8/41) Everybody's Golf (+6, 18/31) Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (+1, 24/42) Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (+1, 23/34) Despite all the games I'm playing I might be bumping up Gravity Rush 2 due to the impending server closure, even though there aren't any trophies associated with it. I haven't decided yet, though. Also, the Yankees are in the wildcard game tonight, so I'll probably just hit a daily trophy today and that will be it, same with the rest of the playoff days, if they continue on. Should play more once they either get eliminated or win it all Edited October 5, 2017 by Arctic Cress
Arctic Cress
WOO YANKEES GOING TO THE ALCS also some milestone platinum or something idk #75 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (+21, 45/45) It's amazing how much this series has changed since I played it back in July 2011, for my first trophy ever. I find the remake system also better than the scout function in Victory - still searching for one of the dungeons I need for the true ending in that one. The Clione grinding in that made a mess of my trophy streak continuing on - kept getting bored of farming so I ended up starting quite a few new games during the span. Got two trophies each in Final Fantasy VII, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, and Gal*Gun Double Peace to sufficiently wreck my completion stats. Meanwhile, I continue to slowly make my way through Everybody's Golf, Sorcery Saga, and Demon Gaze. I also purchased Touhou Genso Wanderer and was surprised to find out that the physical version comes with Double Focus as well. Better deal than buying it on PSN! Demon Gaze (+2, 7/41) Everybody's Golf (+2, 20/31) Final Fantasy VII (New, +2, 2/32) Gal*Gun Double Peace (New, +2, 2/39) Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (New, +2, 2/50) Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (+1, 24/34) Edited October 12, 2017 by Arctic Cress platinum image
Arctic Cress
The Yankees run ends in the ALCS, but at least they pushed it to seven games and made the Astros earn it. A good run and should be better next year. That being said, it's time to get back to video games for a while. Beat Everybody's Golf finally, and began the matches against the revenge VS characters by defeating Takamori, though I'm unsure if I will get it finished to qualify for the weeblympics as the platinum rarity is going up pretty fast. Finally conquered the 256-floor dungeon in Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God, unlocking a number of trophies through that. Finished Chapter 2 in Danganronpa V3, and added a few miscellaneous trophies that were easy enough once I hit Chapter 3 Free Time (I didn't know I spent so much time smacking around background items). Grabbed a number of trophies in other games to continue my trophy streak; Mahjong Royal Towers, Rocket League, Final Fantasy VII, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory and Tricky Towers. I don't expect to play many of these streak games again any time soon, though. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (+4, 12/41) Everybody's Golf (+3, 23/31) Final Fantasy VII (+1, 3/32) Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (+1, 25/42) Mahjong Royal Towers (New, +4, 4/13) Rocket League (+2, 58/82) Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (+3, 27/34) Tricky Towers (+1, 7/30) Next update should be more interesting.
Arctic Cress
Looks like it's been a few weeks since my last update. The delay was this: #76 Everybody's Golf (PS4) Fun stuff! Sadly the rarity went way up as I was challenging all the revenge VS characters so it's only a VR platinum now. It's an enjoyable golf game through the five in-game courses, though it takes quite a while to get going and locks you to the first course for the first 5-10 hours. I also got 100% in Mahjong Royal Towers. This game doesn't deserve more than an additional sentence, so there you go. Since that's a big update already, I'll just throw all the other trophy updates down here. They'll be added to the first post eventually. Arcade Game Series: Galaga (New, +6, 6/21) Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (+3, 15/41) Dynasty Warriors Godseekers (New, +7, 7/44) Rocket League (+1, 59/82) Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (+4, 6/50) Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (+1, 28/34) Tricky Towers (+2, 9/30) Edited November 12, 2017 by Arctic Cress
Arctic Cress
Another two weeks later update ends in another platinum. #77 Stories: The Path of Destinies It's an underrated indie RPG given out over PS+ last year, and I finally started and finished it over the last few months. Also to add, a few new 100%s to the pile, two not really worthy of anything, and one that has eluded me for a while. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (New, +6, 6/6) Race the Sun (+3, 13/13) Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (New, +5, 5/5) Loaded up the KH ones for the Challenge King topic, and learned about the Void glitch that allowed me to finish off Race the Sun finally. I at least got Meteoroid before relying on the glitch, so that's a nice accomplishment. Then, a lot of new games and updated games. I joined Kill Your Completion this month, so lots of new stuff got pushed onto the pile. I was going to play most of them anyway, so it's not a big deal. The Amnesia Collection (New, +2, 2/22) Arcade Game Series: Galaga (+5, 11/21) Blue Reflection (New, +7, 7/47) Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (+8, 23/41) Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax (+1, 53/59) PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale [PS3] (+2, 39/56) Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (+2, 8/50) Touhou Genso Wanderer (New, +5, 5/43) Tricky Towers (+4, 13/30) Yakuza Kiwami (New, +8, 8/55)
Arctic Cress
It was such a stupid accomplishment that I forgot to actually update this topic. Still, here it is. #78 My Name is Mayo (PS4) I'm not going to do a write-up of this one. Saving the Vita one for trophy streak purposes, for now. PS+ brought some easy games to the table, and I decided to play my first game of the Broken Sword series. Also completed a few other games. Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - Episode 1 (New, +20, 20/20) Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - Episode 2 (New, +14, 14/14) Fort Defense (New, +10, 10/10) What Remains of Edith Finch (New, +9, 9/9) Overall, I liked the story and characters of Broken Sword 5, but the puzzle solutions could be improved. You get a lot of worthless items that pile up in your inventory and there's barely any clues on what to do to continue onward, which means using a guide. I got through most of Day of the Tentacle Remastered without one so I was expecting something similar to that, but oh well. Fort Defense is an unfinished tower defense that I screwed up my first time through - there's no way to have enough barrels to upgrade everything in a first play through and there's just enough to get the two trophies required. Also the tutorial makes you spend them on a level which doesn't help at all (it's skippable at least). What Remains of Edith Finch is really good and despite being a "walking simulator" it happens to be one of the best games released this year. Some of the stories are very good and really hit you in various ways. I found some to be a bit strange, though, which diminished the overall impact but it still is a must play game. The endless trophy collection continues. Amplitude (+1, 10/17) Arcade Game Series: Galaga (+2, 13/21) Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey (New, +3, 3/45) Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (New, +4, 4/39) Blue Reflection (+1, 8/47) Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax (+1, 54/59) Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers (+4, 11/44) Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 (New, +6, 6/19) PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale [PS3] (+2, 41/56) Rocket League (+2, 61/82) Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (+11, 19/50) Starwhal (+2, 15/23) Tricky Towers (+6, 19/30) Yakuza Kiwami (+2, 10/55) Even though I'm in so many events, it really helps to have a number of goals to look at. The True Trophies event made me go look at Amplitude and Starwhal again, which I had been having them sit there for who knows how long. Making progress in Tricky Towers is always welcome, and I finally pushed forward and beat Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash. Still, I'm not helping my completion much by starting all these new games, but as I get more progress in the above that should change.
Arctic Cress
Another few weeks, another platinum. That seems to be the trend around here. #79 Wheels of Aurelia A pretty interesting visual novel/racing hybrid game. There's only 1 100% game this time, and it's the sequel to Fort Defense. Fort Defense: North Menace (+10, 10/10) It's basically what Fort Defense should have been with a much more balanced upgrade system. Fort Defense is hard because of that, so this game felt a lot easier to finish. Just had to grind one trophy at the end. There's a lot of updates here. I finally failed a challenge in the Challenge King, so that ended for me. The Trophy Hunters League and current TrueTrophies challenge caused me to add a lot more games to the list, so my completion has somewhat tanked again. I'll definitely try to get it up at some point soon, maybe even make it a goal for 2018. I think it's too late for any 2017 goals, unfortunately. Arcade Archives: Bubble Bobble (New, +3, 3/6) Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (+1, 5/39) Blue Reflection (+1, 9/47) Day D Tower Rush (New, +7, 7/12) Gem Legends (New, +4, 4/12) Gravity Rush 2 (+1, 7/48) Grim Fandango Remastered (New, +2, 2/48) Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (+1, 1/38) Hue (New, +3, 3/12) Mahjong Gold (New, +9, 9/12) Medieval Defenders (New, +2, 2/12) Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 (+2, 8/19) Pirate Solitaire (New, +4, 4/12) Rocket League (+9, 70/82) Royal Defense (New, +2, 2/12) Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash (+5, 24/50) Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (New, +8, 8/36) Starwhal (+1, 16/23) Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord (+1, 23/57) Yakuza Kiwami (+4, 14/55)
Arctic Cress
Happy New Year, PSNProfiles. It's not a new year where I am (yet), but there's a new platinum for the list. #80 Grim Fandango Remastered A very good point and click adventure, better than the other game I played from Tim Schafer this year (Day of the Tentacle). One new 100% game, and it's just an Arcade Archives so there's no need to talk about it that much. Arcade Archives: Bubble Bobble (+3, 6/6) I tried to calm myself down on adding too many games, but I still added a few to the list to end the year. I did manage to finish the TrueTrophies Twelve Days of Christmas challenge, so there's that. Finally beat Gal*Gun for the first time, and making progress in other games. Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (+9, 14/39) Blue Reflection (+5, 14/47) Deemo: The Last Recital (+1, 10/19) Gal*Gun: Double Peace (+9, 11/39) Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational [PS3] (+2, 3/38) Hue (+2, 5/12) Pirate Solitaire (+2, 6/12) Mahjong Carnival (New, +8, 8/12) Mahjong Gold (+1, 10/12) Mahjong World Contest (New, +7, 7/13) Medieval Defenders (+1, 3/12) PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale [PS3] (+2, 43/56) Royal Defense (+4, 6/12) Since it's almost 2018, I'll make a few goals for 2018 as well - Achieve a 80% completion percentage (I've always been stuck in the low 70s even before KYC so it's time to start cleaning up the games I've started.) - Collect 100 platinum trophies in total (I have 80 now so that's 20 over 2018. I got 22 this year so it's definitely within reach.) - Get at least 3 new Ultra Rare platinum trophies (It feels kinda annoying that SSX is my only ultra rare platinum. I need to do some of these for the Weeblympics anyway so this should help motivate me for that. Everybody's Golf going down to UR will not count, for the record.)
Arctic Cress
The first platinum of the new year arrives. #81 Blue Reflection The first of my Kill Your Completion games to be finished, and probably the last until I get back to Atelier Firis since the other three games are all 60+ hour platinums. The only other completion was another mahjong title by 8floor again so that's all you need to know about that one. Mahjong Carnival (+4, 12/12) No new games this time around (finally), but some random trophy gains as usual. Mostly more 8floor games but I have to get them completed eventually. Also finally got some Majima trophies in Yakuza Kiwami, I was wondering when those were coming up. Day D Tower Rush (+1, 8/12) Gem Legends (+3, 7/12) Mahjong World Contest (+2, 9/13) Medieval Defenders (+1, 4/12) Pirate Solitaire (+1, 7/12) Royal Defense (+1, 7/12) Yakuza Kiwami (+2, 16/55)
Edunstar84
Don't know what your next games will be, but can I recommend Akiba's Trip. It's a nice hack n slash game - not too long and easy. You've already completed it on the PS4 in 2014. Enough time has passed for it to still be a bit fresh for you to play it again. If not, then what's the next game you plan to play? Arctic Cress
Right now I'm just finishing the story in Yakuza Kiwami, and I'll be moving on from that to Life is Strange: Before the Storm. After that I'm probably going to have to go after some games that are going to have server closures, like Gravity Rush 2 and Demon's Souls (I'll just pop the Saints Row 3 trophy and go back to it later). I do mean to complete Akiba's Trip again but not at this time. (Also, I completed it on the Vita, not the PS4.)
