Helicopter can be used in "This was supposed to be a Western" trophy

Just an FYI I obtained this trophy using a helicopter. I hung upside down under it once and destroyed something (Not sure what) and it still popped. Maybe the game thinks you're in the helicopter still when hanging under it.

 

I only mention this because the guide only talks about using a tank.

i think you can, but in my personl experience, it could be difficult due anti-aircrafts, unless you use the elicopter with the bavarium shield ( after collecting all di ravello' tapes). 

having the earth DLC, i used the mech and it was a piece of cake.

I think you can leave the vehicle as long as you don't attack anything.

 

I accidentally got out of my mech twice (and got blasted away by a helicopters rockets) but hopped back in without doing anything else and it still popped.
