Popular Post Lagoon Aris
So, I read some of the trophy lists here and it was so nice, I decided to make one of my own. What I intend to list here: My platinums; thoughts and comments about them as well as a to-do-list about planned platinums A little introduction I'm German, 23 years old and female. I think I'm more of a casual gamer but I often forget time when I'm gaming. More often than not I forget to do other, more important stuff because i just can't leave the console. Should definitely change that <.< I got my first PS3 in April 2015 and since then lots of games piled up. Last year, a PS4 and a PS Vita found their way into my home and ever since I'm more and more getting into trophy hunting. Also the fact, that I lose interest into games to fast and that I have to many games to really stick to one till the end are not helpful in my hunt. I also like to play on PC (Steam) and Nintendo (3DS, Wii & WiiU). PS's still my favourite platform though... A little list of 100% games (01 - 13) Spoiler #1 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days not much to do here but listen and read. I played the original on NDS and I really like the story. Probably my second favorite Storyline in the Kingdom Hearts Universe after Birth by Sleep. #2 Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Again not much to do. I remember falling asleep during the Olympus cutscenes. But well, did know the story from the time I played the original game on NDS. It was okay, if you consider that this is nothing more than a bridge between two bigger games of the series. #3 Submerged I think the game should have been calming? I just have a lot of fear for the ocean. And for heights. Why did I even play this game? It was nice and fun but the last collectible was a pain for me. #4 Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Of course, I got the platinum, so I don't have much to say, but yeah. Total playtime from start to 100% with dlc included: 89:46 hours. And it was worth every single minute! #5 Hue A little puzzle platformer. I really liked the game although the last puzzles were really tricky. #6 Nova-111 Funny game. It took me two tries to get into the game but in the end I had a lot of fun with it. Really easy 100% imo. #7 Entwined One of my first PS3 games, one of my first PS+ games and a game that I still really like. it took me one and a half year to complete this game but it was worth it every second. So far it was the most challenging game I completed. Unfortunately no platinum. #8 Welcome Park I hate the sliding puzzles. Surprisingly, once I actually tried going for those trophies I got them in about half an hour. Still, I will never touch that game again. #9 Datura God, this game was awful. The story had some wanna-be deep flair but the controls. They were so terribly clunky. I'm glad to be able to put this game behind me! #10 Minefield Buggy mess. This is what this game is trophy-wise. It was a free Minesweeper game for console, so I gave it a try. 3 hours and I got the 100% but half the trophies glitched on me. That is kinda frustrating. #11 Brothers A cute game, which is quite emotional for such a short length. Somehow it's always the short indie games that get me to tear up This one wasn't much different. #12 Project Diva Future Tone (both expansions) The paparazz trophies glitched on me on three different save datas and installations and two different consoles. Needed a third console to finally get them. Made me hate the game a lot. #13 What Remains of Edith Finch A short game, but the story was interesting. There were some open questions at the end that I wish would have been answered but no can do. It was a well made game and a good PS+ title. A little list of Platinums (01 - 50) Spoiler #1 Life is Strange (PS3)Lenght of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 Second time to full com this game after I played it once on PC. I really like the story but Booooy do I hate Chloe (personal reasons no one seems to understand...). The game isn't on my PS3 anymore so I have no means to look at the length of my save data. But it should be pretty average since I made all the photos at the first opportunity I got. Pretty easy platinum if you already know where everything is. #2 Norn9 Var CommonsLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 3/10 First Visual Novel on console. I really liked that one. The routes were kinda short but there were plenty of them and I liked most of them. The minigame was kinda cute but meaningless. I really liked the music. I read most of the novel on my train to university or at night in bed. I should read it again sometime... #3 Danganronpa: Trigger Happy HavocLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 3/10 I really really love the Danganronpa series. The setting is so interesting, the characters so diverse and just all those little Easter eggs in the dialogue... I had lots of fun with this game and it really introduced me to the whole franchise. I had lots of fun guessing the culprit every single time. But the school mode was a grind fest I hate with all my heart! #4 Amnesia: MemoriesLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 I already played the game on PC where it was my first Visual Novel (from Japan) ever. Back then I really loved that game but while re-reading it on Vita (after already reading quite a few other VNs) I realized that the story is just... meh. How the hell did I love that game back then? It's really abusive and there are definitely better stories out there. (Kents route is nice, though. Only one without really abuse of the MC...)#5 Steins;GateLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 3/10 (with walkthrough) A really brilliant story. I loved how scientifically they approached the concept of time travel. And the characters are just... so much love. It's one of the few games that made me cry because the endings are just so damn sad. It was an easy platinum but I needed a walkthrough for some of the extra wallpaper. #6 Adam's Venture OriginsLength of Time: ~ 15hDifficulty: 1/10 expensive on the PS Store. And I'm very happy I got it in a sale cause this game ain't worth much. Such a linear story... and it isn't even good. the second half of the game I couldn't stop laughing because the story-telling was so terrible. It was an easy platinum though. One play-through and finished. #7 Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop DistanceLength of Time: ~60 - 70 hoursDifficulty: 4/10 My first Platinum in any Kingdom Hearts game, yaaay! =v=/ But I know very well I was only able to do that because there was no difficulty related trophy. Most of it was just frustrating grinding but most of the time I had a lot of fun to get to complete everything. Started to hate the card minigame though... #8 Tales from the BorderlandsLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 The story was really funny. I laughed more than once. And the music from the second episode... It got me kinda interested in the Borderlands Franchise. I suck at shooters though... Easy platinum since everything was only story-related. #9 Life is Strange (PS4)Length of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 Third Time's a Charm. Any platform left for me and this game? But playing it a third time was a real drag. Just did it for the easy plat. #10 Kingdoms of Amalur: ReckoningLength of Time: 80 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 I played this game first on Steam. 150 hours in and I the only reason I never got it 100% on PC were some bugs who broke some achievements. Luckily, the console version is a lot less buggy. Didn't encounter a single one in my 80 hours which was really refreshing and made me enjoy the game even more. A lot of time counted was because I paused the gae to chat with friends, so I think it was about 50 hours actual game play to get everything done with the story and about 5 hours more for cleanup. Still have the DLCs to do but they will follow soon. #11 Murdered: Soul SuspectLength of Time: ~ 10 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 The most difficult thing was the darn collectibles. Used a guide for those. Apart from that a nice little game. I played the beginning about three times so it was quite difficult to pick it up again and starting it again to finish it. I like the story, I hate the demons. With a guide it is a pretty easy platinum and it's one of those games who touch slightly upon the horror genre but aren't really horror, so safe to play for me. #12 Enigmatis: Ghosts of maple CreekLength of Time: ~ 5 - 6 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 A Hidden object game from Artifex Mundi. I really love those games and played all of them on PC. So now's the time to catch up and get some trophies for those games. Enigmatis is my favourite trilogy from Artifex so of course it had to be the first AM game for me to play. I played the first walthrough in one session and finished the bonus chapter and second walkthrough the day after. Pretty easy game if you're used to hidden objects and already know all minigame mechanics Artifex games usually have. #13 Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed HeartLength of Time: ~ 5 - 6 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Another Artifex game. I like the Nightmares trilogy although the first installment isn't my favorite. God, I hate the Mahjong and I really hate the missing fast travel. But well, it was kinda nostalgic to play since it was one of my first Artifex games ever. #14 Abyss: The Wraiths of EdenLength of Time: 5:39 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Again, Artifex. I saw per chance the trophy list on PSNP and decided, to buy this game on release and play it to maybe get on the leader boards for the first time. Bought the game, rushed through it (even though I had to take a break once) and managed to be third one to get the plat. Quite proud of that. But well, I call Abyss the "Bioshock of Artifex" since it is an underwater city with a few jumpscares. Abyss is probably the only game where I accept the missing fast travel since the jump scares wouldn't work as well if you could do fast travel. #15 Dark Arcana: The CarnivalLength of Time: 3:36 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 And again, an Artifex. (alliteration, hah!) *ahem* Short, but I quite liked it. The Monaco game was quite fun although I didn't understand the mechanics until quite late in the game... Nothing much to say to this game. #16 Grim Legends: The Forsaken BrideLength of Time: ~ 4 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Continuing my Artifex combo. I really liked Grim Legends although I wasn't really a fan of the ending since it was so cliche, but well, can't be to critical with those games. The stories are always just average.#17 Eventide: Slavic FableLength of Time: 3:32 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 The last in my Artifex combo. I remember playing the beta demo back when it still was in development. I really loved it back then and I still love it today. This one is probably my favorite of all Artifex games. #18 Hatsune Miku: project Diva F 2ndLength of Time: 82:27 hoursDifficulty: 3/10 God, I hate the grind. And I hate rng based trophies. I spend way to much time in this game simply because I didn't get one luck-based event. What a satisfaction to finally be finished with this game.#19 Alice: Madness ReturnsLength of Time: ~ 40 hours?Difficulty: 2/10 One of my first games on PS3. I had lots of fun with it and I really liked the story. The plot around the family-killing fire was really well made. Now in retrospect, it would have made a nice 20th milestone. Unfortunately I didn't think about that when I spontaneously went for that plat. #20 Enigmatis 2: Mists of Ravenwood Length of Time: 5:25 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 This was my first Artifex Mundi game I ever bought. Since Artifex is one of my favorite developers, I simply thought it would be nice to return to this game on PS4 and make it my 20th milestone. Still like the game a lot. #21 Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink Length of Time: 2:48 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Again, an Artifex streak as I tried to go for all current Artifex games. Clockwork Tales was a nice game with quite an interesting story. Despite that it didn't remain in my memories very well, so it was kinda refreshing to play as everything seemed new and familiar at the same time #22 Nightmares from the Deep 2: Siren's CallLength of Time: 4:30 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Well, nothing much to say to that one. I liked the story more than the first installment. I still hate the Mah-Jong.#23 Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark SwanLength of Time: 5:17 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 Why did all the handsome guys have to die? *sigh* Oh well, again, an Artifex Game and again Grim Legends. I think I liked this story more than the first one even though it felt a bit less thought-through than Forsaken Bride.#24 Lost Grimoires: Stolen KingdomLength of Time: ~ 5 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 Surprise, an Artifex game I haven't played beforehand, haha. I had a lot of fun with this one because it was completely new to me. I really liked the Alchemy. I hope, the Alchemy mechanic will be continued in the second instalment of the series. #25 Wolf Among UsLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 After playing the first chapter I took a long time off of this game since it wasn't to much action gameplay-wise. I later returned to it, played it through within two days and I really started to like the game. The reveal of the villain was a bit of a let down. But I liked the implications at the end of the game. Makes me kinda hyped for season 2. #26 Sherlock Holmes: the Devil's DaughterLength of Time: ~ 20 hoursDifficulty: 3/10 More like "the Devil's glitches". Tha game crashed on me once and I had to restart. I also didn't like most of the trophy-related minigames. Especially the Bowl Champion. The cases were really interesting but the overall gameplay not so much. #27 Naruto: Ultimate Ninja StormLength of Time: ~45 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 I always say I'm not a big fan of fighting games but I really love Naruto games. I'm not even that much of a Naruto fan. Read the whole manga but I didn't really love it, especially the ending. But I love the game. I was happy that this one didn't have any online trophies and only required 50% of everything. That made it fast and easy. #28 Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of MysteryLength of Time: ~ 5 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 I didn't really pay much attention on the story but what I saw, I liked the first game more. I also didn't like the new alchemy system. The last one was more fun but oh well. It was the average Artifex game so I won't complain. It brought me through the day so that's that. #29 N.E.R.O.Length of Time: ~ 5 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 The games visuals are way too dark. But I liked how the story was told. Quite a sad story as well. I used a collectibles guide for that game since most of the collectables I would have never found without one, so it was easy and fast and only a filler-plat for the milestone. #30 Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair GirlsLength of Time: 42 hoursDifficulty: 3/10 Milestone! Done with my second most favorite Danganronpa game. It's the first shooter I ever completed and I'm really proud of that. I loved Toko in this game. And apart from that I really liked Nagisa. Sursprisingly, the more I see Komaeda, the more I start to dislike him, haha #31 Coffin DodgersLength of Time: 12 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 Nothing beats Mario Kart but this game was funny while it lasted. I'm glad the trophies didn't escalate as much as they do on the Steam version of this game. I hated the Uzi. But mostly since I tried to grind them in the Village and wondered that I never got them until I found out they spawn only at the Town and after! #32 Steins;Gate 0Length of Time: 36 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 It was an interesting read, following Kurisus origin and going deeper into the relationships of characters other than Rintaro. It had its good moments, and I especially liked the ending of "Vega and Altair". But I still like the first game more. It got me more captivated than this one. One of the reasons it took me way longer (months) to finish this one. #33 DemetriosLength of Time: ~8 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 Used a walkthrough, otherwise it would have been more difficult, because of the sheer amount of game overs and cookies you had to find. It was kinda funny, but the story wasn't really great. Very predictable, to be honest. The game lived more for the (sometimes rather lame) jokes than for anything else.#34 Final Fantasy XVLength of Time: ~75 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 The game started interesting and seemes like a lot of fun but the more I progressed through the world and story the more shallow it became to me. The story didn't seem thought through, the ending felt rushed and I had the feeling a lot of things were left out. (I didn't watch the anime or movie because I wanted to judge the game as stand alone). The more time I spent in the world, the emptier it seemed to me. It took me months to grind out the last two trophies because the more I thought about the game and its characters, the more I started to dislike this game. I don't even have any motivation left for the dlcs... #35 36 Fragments of MidnightLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 8/10 For most people it was a really easy plat. For me it was quite difficult. I had to learn I'm not much of a person that likes to start from scratch when she can easily die. I nearly gave up ever getting this plat so I'm quite happy that I got it. Won't play it on PS4 though.#36 Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & PunishmentsLength of Time: ~15 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 I liked it more than Devil's Daughter although the overall plot wasn't quite as interesting. I had fun with the game and there were no frustrating trophies as in DD. It was short and enjoyable but nothing special.#37 Yonder: The Cloud Catcher ChroniclesLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 2/10 It was a nice little game whith which I had a lot of fun. At the beginning at least. After finishing the main story, it was more a drag to finish every collectible and all the quests. There was a lot of running around with nearly no means of helpful quick travel. (the sage stones were mostly out of the way and a pain to reach and the patch with the travel stone to the farms came quite late for my taste). Most stuff I found with the help of video guides, so there was not that much of a problem. The fishes were terrible though, especially the Gigalev. #38 Horizon Zero DawnLength of Time: ~50 hoursDifficulty: 2/10 It was a better game than I expected although I didn't like it as much as all the hype around it did. Still, I had a lot of fun with it and it made me a bit more confident in games with shooter-style based fighting mechanic. It was really interesting to explore the world and trying to find out what exactly happened to humanity to get to the state they are. The vantage points were my favorite thing to collect and read. All in all an easy and fun plat. #39 36 Fragments of Midnight (PS4)Length of Time: 00:38Difficulty: 2/10 Even though I said I wouldn't play this game I still did. Main reason was that I needed a quick platinum so that I could concentrate on my next milestone without worrying what to do in case I only had a bit of stuff to do. Surprisingly on PS4 the game was a lot easier. While I had to spent weeks occasionally playing the game on Vita to finally get the plat with a lot of luck, I did it on PS4 in less than an hour with absolutely no luck needed. So that made it actually a lot more fun than it did on Vita. #40 ValleyLength of Time: 17:00Difficulty: 2/10 (with video guide.) It's one of the games that's really beautiful. The gameplay is fun and the story is interesting and philosophical. You love playing this game. Then you get back to it for all trophies, meaning all collectibles. With no maps or indicators as to when you have everything, I needed a video guide. But following a video guide every step through a game, was really loathsome. So much, I started hating this game. It's one of those games that are beautiful on its own but become terrible with their trophy list. Hated the plat so much I made it my milestone out of spite. It's there to remember me what stubid bs I sometimes do for one meaningless plat. #41 Eventide 2Length of Time: 2:42Difficulty: 1/10 Another Artifex game I had already played on PC before. I didn't like it as much as the first Eventide but it was still ok. Not much to say about it... #42 DeponiaLength of Time: ~4 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 A simple Point & Click. I played it more for the trophies than the story but it was quite nice. Don't have much to say about it. Maybe I will play the sequels someday. #43 Pic-A-Pix Color (PS4)Length of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 I love Picross games. They are simple and fun to do. I don't know much about the time I spent with this game as I played it in combination with other picross games on Steam while binge watching NCIS and everything is a blur. But it was a very fast and easy plat. The vita version will follow soon. #44 Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (PS4)Length of Time: ~60 hoursDifficulty: 3/10 So far it is one of my favorite Naruto games and I played quite a few. This one however is my second Naruto plat. Never bothered too much on PS3 because of the boosting required but with a handy second PS4 thanks to a room mate, I was able to self boost this version of the game and therefore plat it. Also have written a trophy guide for it while I went for the plat. It's funny how I like the games way more than I actually liked the manga. But I mostly dislike the manga because of its ending. #45 Pic-A-Pix Color (Vita)Length of Time: n/aDifficulty: 1/10 The same as #43 although on Vita. Played it occasionally and had a lot of fun with it as well. I love Picross. #46 Hatsune Miku: Project Diva fLength of Time: 34:14Difficulty: 2/10 At first it seemed more difficult than F 2nd but after a few songs I found it more fun than the second. I liked more songs in this one and was able to play them over and over. Also the grind was a lot easier since there was no limit to presents or how often a Vocaloid received the same present in row. That made the event list really easy to complete. I expected the game to need more time to plat but all in all I'm content with the amount I needed to complete it. #47 A Hat in TimeLength of Time: n/aDifficulty: 2/10 So this game the first time in the Indie area of Gamescom. Ever since then I followed this game and finally my room mate bought it and I kinda binged it. The game was really really beautiful and just so well balanced. of course there was one trophy which I really hated and where I needed multiple tries but apart from that it was easy and fun and just a fresh breath of air between my FFXIV addiction and other grindy games. I really love this game and if I could, I would totally plat it again. Enjoyment 10/10 #48 Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted SeasLength of Time: 19:15Difficulty: 2/10 Had this one on my wishlist for quite a while. But I never really got to it. Now I did and it was quite good. The dungeons were most of the time rather short and simple but it was a lot more than I expected from a former mobile only game. The story lacked a lot of depth and some times seemed quite forced and made me laugh at this weak attempt to bring more into the story as there was. But it was an easy and enjoyable plat. Although it was a bit hard to love this game after I played Hat of Time, but that's definitely not this games fault. #49 Nightmares from the Deep 3: Davy JonesLength of Time: 4:43Difficulty: 1/10 Again, an Artifex game I already had played on Steam before. I liked it. Especially how much better the gameplay was in compariosn to the first game. Story was interesting and I think a nice ending to the trilogy. Not much else to say. #50 JazzpunkLength of Time: ~2 hoursDifficulty: 1/10 The game is funny. I had lots of fun with it. Originally I played it on GOG. I liked it so much, I bought it again on Steam to get all achievements. And now I bought it on PS4 yet again for the trophies. It's short but it's enjoyable and I think it's a good milestone. Not the greatest but good enough for me. Only throwback is, that this game somehow makes me really motion sick. Even though it's only about two hours long, I still had to get a break from it because I wasn't able to look at a monitor any longer... A little list of Platinums (051 - [100]) Spoiler #51 Grim Legends 3: The Dark CityLength of Time: ~3 hoursDifficulty: 3/10 This one was a bit more tricky in comparison to other Artifex games. Mostly because there were a lot of trophies related to timed puzzles and I suck at those. Had to do a lot of strategic back up saves to get through all of those without having to replay the whole game. But I liked the story. In general, Grim Legends is one of the trilogies I like the most of Artifex. #52 Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (PS4) Length of Time: ~35 hours Difficulty: 2/10 It was quite grindy but not so grindy as the second game was. I liked it and it was relatively easy. At first I thought the platinum would be quite difficult as that I would have to do both Legend and Hero Routes and all of them on S rank but unfortunately the route didn't matter. I got most of the fights S rank at first try, except 3 fights, whcih I got S ank on the second try. I enjoyed it but I'm also glad, I'm over with it. #53 Burly Men at Sea Length of Time: ~2 hours Difficulty: 1/10 Very easy. I heard some good stuff about this game and was quite interested in it but sadly it didn't appealed to me as much as I hoped. It was a simple and fast plat but I wish I had found a bit more enjoyment in it. Most of the time I had sympathy for all those creatures the Men used and "abused". But i kinda liked the minimalistic style of the game. #54 Demetrios (Vita) Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 1/10 Second time felt worse than first time. But it's another game down from my list and another platinum, so I can't really argue. Was cross-buy anyway and a rather short game. #55 Marvel's Spiderman Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 2/10 I'm glad it didn't have difficulty trophies. Cause the first boss fight really made me struggle on normal. On easy I enjoyed the game quite a lot. The story was interesting and the ending was quite emotional. There were a lot of crimes and the grind was quite lengthy but apart from that an enjoyable platinum. #56 Midnight Deluxe (PS Vita) Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 3/10 A really short game but some level were really tricky and nearly made me rage quit. I was thankful for the touch control as otherwise I wouldn't have managed. Cute, but I liked 36 Fragments more. #57 Deiland Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 1/10 The game was really cute and most trophies didn't seem to grindy. However Master Alchemist and Master Gardener really were a grind where I counted every potion and flower until the trophies popped. Otherwise from that, I really enjoyed the game a lot. #58 Eventide 3 Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 1/10 To be honest, I played so many Artifx games at this point, I don't even look at the story anymore. I have no idea what exactly happened in this game. I just played it to get a new filler plat to my next milestone. #59 Bioshock 2 (PS4) Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: n/a I really can't say anything about that game. My room mate got me that plat in exchange for me getting her the Life is Strange plat. So I can't say much more than thank you, room mate! #60 Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storms Generations Length of Time: ~50 hours Difficulty: 1/10 The game wasn't difficult at all. It was just one loooong grind. About 50 hours of grind. Most guides say, the plat can be obtained with the 30 hour trophy mark but I spend a lot of time idling in between so I kinda was at 40 hours when I finished everything except Card Collector. Several cards glitched on me making that last trophy a terrible gamble on my luck. I won after 12 hours of trying as many card requirements as possible in hopes of getting the cards. Glad, it's over. #61 Blackwood Crossing Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 1/10 A short and rather bittersweet game. It was really good and for the story it conveyed, it had the perfect length. I nearly cried at the end. I really liked this game a lot. #62 Midnight Deluxe Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 4/10 PS4 controls always seem to be better than the Vita controls in those games. It still was rather tricky, but I managed. #63 Pic-a-Pix Pieces Length of Time: n/a Difficulty: 1/10 Easy enough. I love Picross but the more games I play the more they feel like a grind from the very beginning. I'm kinda glad, my room mate bought this game, so I only have access to the PS4 version. Don't have to play this game twice. Some of those pictures were just way to big. #64 Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Length of Time: ~80 hours Difficulty: 3/10 I'm in love with this game. I always have some problems to get into JRPGs. If they don't click at the beginning, I just tend to stop them a lot. Not this one. I started it and then I binge played the whole game and everything until three hours short of the plat in the Nightmare playthrough. Finished that one a month later. But I really liked this game and it got me into checking out the whole franchise. Such a refreshing game. It has been a long time since I last started and finished a long story in such a short time. #65 Akiba's Trip: Dead & Undressed Length of Time: ~30 hours Difficulty: 3/10 I had fun with the game. At the beginning at least. Some things were a drag to grind out but all in all a very easy platinum in a fun game. The Alternate Path: Games I finished story-wise (on an alt account because I don't want to plat them) Spoiler #1 Sparkle 2 (52% trophies) A nice little match-3 game. Not much of a story. It was fun but I wouldn't do the grind of playing it 3 times or more just to get 100% and no plat. Since I don't like to click a lot around and having to update two posts concerning my backlog, I will do it here. Starting from May 8th '18, I won't buy any new games unless I get three points from cleaning up my backlog. I will get points by the following things: - Finishing a game's story - Earning a plat (unless the plat is the reward for finishing the story) - Earning a 100% (unless 100% is the reward for finishing the story or is received with the plat) Putting a game into abandonment won't give me any points. PS+ games aren't included in this challenge as I never know which games may come with it. However finishing a PS+ game will give me points. WiiU games and other non-Sony platforms won't be included in this challenge as I use those for breaks from trophy hunting and usually don't buy a lot of games for those anyways. Current points: -26 Points earned overall: 43 Games bought: 23 (SHAME) Edited August 19, 2019 by Lagoon Aris #13 (100%), #61 - #64 added
direct-harvest0
This is a great beginning to a trophy list and I'll be looking forward to the progress made. I'm finding myself reading these more than anything on this website and I'll be interested to see what games you get through and the conversations to be had here. Cassylvania
Lots of story-based games and RPGs -- very cool. I played through KoA:R on my old account. It's a really fun game, but I got annoyed with all the dialogue. I was amazed at how much more I enjoyed the experience once I started skipping through all the text. I'd say, more than any other game, that's the one that made me rethink how I was gaming.

I like to play games for their story. If I like the story good enough, I go for the plat. But otherwise I wouldn't waste too much time on it because time is limited. KoA:R is one of those games I pre-owned on PC. I really loved it (more than Skyrim actually) but the PC version is glitched and bugges as hell. Couldn't end the whole Travellers' Faction because one person was glitched. Gladly, the PS3 version has no glitches up til now, so hopefully I will get my full com with only one play-through

I thought KoA:R, Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, even Far Cry Primal did Skyrim better than Skyrim. If you took away the mod community from Skyrim (or gave any of those games a mod community that size), I think any of those games would be considered better. Even though KoA:R and Dragon's Dogma never received the attention I think they deserve, it's good to see Dark Souls flourish...
Valyrious
You played Steins;Gate with a walkthrough? Sigh. Why do people pretend like they want games with choices that matter, but then simply use a guide to find out what the right choices are. I get it if you're doing a second playthrough and want to clear up all the ones you missed, that's fine, but... yeah there's really no way I can voice my discontent without sounding like a jerk so I'll leave it there.

I can completely understand you and I can reassure you I playe through Steins;gate and all endings without a walkthrough. I only needed the walkthrough for the trophies relates to the cellphone answers because the answers you needed to get to the specific wallpapers for that one trophy were kinda not clear for me while playing it. I only mentioned the walkthrough because without it I would give the game a much higher difficulty. 9 minutes ago, Cassylvania said: Personally, I love a lot of games more than Skyrim. Everything I say in this game has somehow the same color to me. I tried it a few times and it just never got me. KoA:R on the other hand is so colorful and I love it even though it has a lot of flaws. But it's great for what it wants to be. Dragon's Dogma is a game I have yet to try. It rests on my shelf, waiting to be played one day. 2 minutes ago, RVMcypress_grave said: Out of your list of games that you would like to play sometime I see some great games. I own the handsome collection and tried BL2 once but I am just really bad at shooter so yeah... never made it far into it. But I will definitely give it a try again someday. dadoudelidou
I am really bad at shooters too but I LOVED Borderlands 2 (got the plat on another account). That game as a fantastic co-op and one of the few left that let you couch co-op (split screen). Seriously, find yourself someone to couch co-op it, you won't mind the 60-80 hours it takes to get the plat. I highly recommand it for it's humour , especially the DLC story with Tiny Tina. Besides that I would recommand for sure to dip into the beautiful world of Witcher 3 . and please if you start it , give it a few hours . first time I played and didn't really got hooked but with the recommendation of a friend , I gave it another try and that game now stands in my personnel favorite of all time ! Good luck with your list

I wasn't a huge fan of BL2 but the headhunter and Tiny Tina dlc were amazing, it made me really enjoy the game. The customization was really cool too, I even got my girlfriend the community event skin for her Siren which is something I would normally pass on. I haven't tried Tales from the Borderlands or the Prequel yet so I may have to pick up the ps4 collection sometime.

Huh... the only friend I have who also plays on console is my roommate and until recently we only got one controler for the PS4. But yeah... got a second controller not so long ago. If BL2 has local co-op I might ask her to play it with me since she's good at shooters. It was my first Telltale Game and the first thing I really saw from Borderlands but it is really well made and the characters have a lot of charm. As far as I understood Tales is set after BL2 and somehow during or after the pre-Sequel... not sure though, but definitely after BL2 since there were events that were huge spoilers about the ending of BL2 (which I didn't mind as much since I already knew some things about the BL plot)

It's the work of two games for just one platinum so it kinda drains the motivation for the grindier trophies (especially the Monomi minigame. Boy, I hate that one) Just now, IntroPhenom said: Among all of the Atelier games, how did you decide to add only Rorona: Plus to your list of games you want to plat? I was thinking about getting a collection with a whole trilogy. I read a few reviews and articles and decided to go for the Rorona trilogy. Originally, i wanted to get the games for PS3 but I heard the "Plus" Variants were better so I decided to go for them. And since I didn't have enough money and the game was on sale I bought the first of that trilogy since it was the trilogy I wanted to look into as sort of entry into the Atelier series (if it would get me hooked.) I liked what I saw so far but I didn't got too far into it. I think I didn't even finish the time period of the first assignment I got because i only wannted a quick look into the game at that time
Cassylvania
I'll be interested to see how you feel about the Ateleir games, as a female gamer. They're...kinda odd, because they're obviously pandering to guys, but the gameplay seems geared more towards women (with less action and more of a focus on crafting and completing tasks). I'm not sure who their target audience is. Personally, I like the games, but I recommend not playing with the English voiceovers.
Lava_Yuki
I love your list of not so little games to plat! Great selection, happy to see Tales, Kingdom Hearts, FF, Sherlock Holms, Life is Strange and a couple of otome games! I'm a fan of all these as well, so I can see we have almost identical gaming tastes. I quite liked Amnesia, although I hated Toma with a passion right from the start (in one of Shin's bad end, which was my first route so not good impression already) and Toma was the last route I did and did not enjoy it like the others. Ikki was my favourite, and I loved Shin as well. Kent unfortunately is not my type at all, but his route was sweet and the least... traumatic should I say? Collar x Malice is another suspense otome that's pretty good I hear. Psycho Pass is a VN that's interesting enough that I recommend. I've gotten most of the Tales and FF plats bar a few. ToX2 is a tough one, it took me 120 hours and a bucket load of grinding. Tales of Berseria was also like that (great game and I highly recommend it, took about 100 hours to plat for me). FFXIII-2, Lightning Returns, FFXV, Tales of Hearts R and Xillia were all ~50 hours and quite easy (I'd rate 3/10 for all). I got FFXIII twice, once on normal mode in the EU version which took 130 hours and a ton of luck, and then again on the Japanese version which had easy mode (increased common drops to 95%) so it took 74 hours. I hated Tales of Zestiria, so I can't comment on that, but the plat is very grindy and the skills board to a pain to get one's head around for the trophies. I'd recommend Berseria over it, but it's good to play both if you get time as they are linked. FFX and some of the KH games are tough enough. I couldn't manage the mini games in FFX, but my brother got the plat and he said it took about 140 hours as there's lots of grinding in it. But FFX-2 is easier, it took me about 80 hours and just needs a lot of attention to detail for the 100%. FFXII The Zodiac Age also looks like an ok plat and the game is pretty fun too.

It's most of the times better than English (or German) synchronisation. And it is a good listening training since I'm learning Japanese (studied it once but now it's only a hobby since I changed my majors) As far as I could see, Atelier is a lot of time management and strategies about that. Planning on which days to go hunting for ingedrients and which days to spend for crafting. I like this kind of strategy. Also I adore the art style. It was the one thing that got me interested in the first place. But in general, I never had that much of a problem playing games for a male oriented audience. I'm openminded and I like everything as long as it's well-made and has a good story. (Only male-oriented genre that doesn't interest me are visual novels with a lot of "ecchi" stuff in it but well... that's kinda obvious uninteresting for me, i guess) 6 minutes ago, Lava_Yuki said: I love your list of not so little games to plat! I hated Ikkis route though because I just hated his god damn fanclub). I started to love Kents route when I played it on Vita. (Also he is voiced by one of my favorite VAs in japanese) But in retrospect, there is so much to complain about the oblivious behaviour of the MC... but well. Collar x Malice btw is on my wishlist. So when I get the money and time, I'll buy it. And psycho pass as well. I watched the anime and the anime was so majestic! Tales seems to be a grindfest in general. I managed to get the story in ToX2 up until the fight with Chronos(?). Never managed to beat him since I probably was underleveld and had a lack of certain skills. Have to try again some time. I already started Zestiria but made a pause since I got accidentally spoilered and that ruined it for me for quite some time. Berseria is still on my wishlist but I prefer to play games chronologically when they are linked together sooo zestiria first, then Berseria Hearts R is also one of those games where I got stuck on a boss fight and have to level up to complete the story. But not right now For Amnesia Toma was the most popular in the popularity polls on Otomate's site apparently! I usually have opposite preferences of most people hence my preference for Ikki and am not a fan of yandere so I found his route hard to watch. It's one of those marmite games in Otome. Clock Zero also seems popular, but the one thing that puts me off is the primary school kid setting.... Being in my 20's, playing as a 6th grader feels strange, but I think in Japan the whole super young loli type is a thing? I just played all the original KH games so there was no trophies and I just did the story in all of them. But looking at the trophy lists for the remasters, it looks pretty hard as normal mode was a challenge for me, forget proud and critical. BBS was the only one I managed on proud, but the rest I did just on normal. Out of the Tales, all of them are ~100+ hours except for Hearts R and Xillia. Innocence can be done in 60 hours, but there a 100 hour trophy which is silly since you have to just leave the vita on for 40 odd hours as the rest of the trophies are easy. At least FF has gotten surprisingly easier for plats. FFX and XIII were the only time consuming ones, but the rest are easy enough ? Type-0 is supposed to be pretty decent as well and its dropped quite a bit in price. I havent had much experience with the Persona games, but they look good. How was Danganronpa? I'm quite curious about it as I like crime and suspense stories, but is it a visual novel only or are there action elements to it as well? The 1.2 reload seems like a good bargain for 2 games for the price of one!

Being in my 20's, playing as a 6th grader feels strange, but I think in Japan the whole super young loli type is a thing I just played all the original KH games so there was no trophies and I just did the story in all of them. FFX and XIII were the only time consuming ones, but the rest are easy enough Type-0 is supposed to be pretty decent as well and its dropped quite a bit in price. I havent had much experience with the Persona games, but they look good. How was Danganronpa? I'm quite curious about it as I like crime and suspense stories, but is it a visual novel only or are there action elements to it as well? The 1.2 reload seems like a good bargain for 2 games for the price of one! Well, I kinda like Yandere because it is an interesting concept but yeah... More of a fan of Shin and Kent nowadays since they seemed to care the most about the MC. (I know Ikki did as well but I had a feeling that he didn't put the MC really above the fanclub). Loli and Moe are two things that are quite a huhe hype in Japan. I can't get beheind that either but oh well~ I once started with the NDS games of KH since I never owned any console while I lived with my parents. I bought the original PS2 games when I stayed over for summer holidays at my friend's house who owned a PS2 and binge played them back then. The Remixes were my first PS3 games. I still want the PS4 collection of all of the games... But yeah, always played the games on Normal myself. I try critical mode in 0.2 but boy it is sooo difficult Oh, I hate trophies which request you to be in the game for a specific time. Mostly I get them because I'm idling in the game but still... Those can be a waste of time (literally). But yeah, Xilia doesn't seem to be much of an effort. I just haven't tried the trophy hunt yet. But I agree. In comparison to XIII, XV seems to be easier in getting the platinum. But I think, XV got generally easier to play through than XIII. In XIII I have fought every possible battle and leveld as much as I could and I still can't win against some "normal" battles in the last chapter. Only thing that still holds me off to finish the story. In XV... Everything was so easy I didn't even had to try to stick up with my levels. Type-0 looks great and interesting but somehow I don't really get into the gameplay. Managed the tutorial and then died. I think I suck in that game... I started Persona 3 and Persona 5. Both have a very interesting story and are more a mix from VN and Dungeon crawler. But I like P3 more atm. P5 has a very slowly start. Youw alk three meters, cutscene, you walk 4 meters, cutscene... rinse and repeat. I hope it will be better once I'm finished with the first dungeon. Danganronpa ist a very nice game. I'm not sure if I would really put it into the VN genre. There is a lot of reading but apart from the story-related stuff you can decide which what characters you interact so you can skip quite a few hours of reading if you don't interact with everyone at every single occasion. The gameplay has a lot of exploring since you wander around the school and search for an exit. There are murders in this game and you have to investigate it and collect tips and proofs and later you have a trial where you have to find the culprit. The trials are a lot of reading but combined with a lot of minigames to move the story forward. Biggest example is the truth bullet system where you chose one of your proofs and try to shoot at a statement from someone else to counter them. What I really liked about the Danganronpa series is that there are so diverse characters and everyone seems to be really well made with flaws, positives and negatives and what else. And it was hard to find out who the mastermind was. I only found that out once I reached the trial to expose the mastermind The reload is a really good deal if you want to have the games for the games' sake. But from the trophy hunting aspect I couldn't recommend it. They took all trophies from the original two games and put them together in one stack so there is only one platinum. You still have to do the work of two games though (about 60-80 hours for the first, dependent on how fast you can read and about 70-100 hours for the second, as there is a minigame you have to do which gives all the items you need at random). So 130-180 hours of gameplay to get one platinum where you could get two if you ply the games in their single form. But that's the only flaw of the Reload. (On a side note: Another Episode Ultra Despair Girls is set between the two maingames and is actually a shooter game. So it is a completely different kind of gameplay compared to the main games. On an other side note: The upcoming V3 is not a direct sequel to the two maingames. The Danganronpa series got their official finale in the two Anime series called Danganronpa 3 "The End of Hope's Peak Academy". So beware, if you want to know how everything began and how everythingends, you have to watch 25 episodes of Anime. But a very well made anime though)

Still not sure which of the two main games is my favourite. I like the characters in 2 more than in 1 but 1 ist so well-made as a first game in a series... I already started Witcher 3 a while back. I now I won't regret coming back to that game. But right now I prefer to finish some of the other games I have open since they won't need so much time as Witcher will

AJ_Radio
This thread is just like Cassylvanias one. Lots of replies. I really appreciate that because it means you care. I just finished Sherlock Holmes The Devils Daughter and I have to say I wasn't all too impressed. Not to spoil much, the developers really rushed the game towards the end. The QTE sequences were poorly executed and the overarching plot had little to do with analyzing and putting clues together, which is the main appeal for Sherlock Holmes. LA Noire was pretty enjoyable, I love those old 1930s - 1950s noir/gangster movies and so this game pretty much fit the bill. I don't know if I want to do the Film Reel and Car Fanatic trophies again for the PS4 version, those were pretty annoying.

But I screwed up one trophy, so I'll probably start all over again once I return Regarding Danganronpa, the trophies are pretty easy, they are just time consuming. especially the school mode (and the Monokuma Machine. God, I still have nightmares about the sound of the machine because I had to use it so much...). The second game is a bit harder regarding trophies because one new minigame is a bit of a challenge. Well, at least it is for me 2 minutes ago, Spaz said: This thread is just like Cassylvanias one. Lots of replies. I really appreciate that because it means you care. And I'm online most of the time since I like to overview my trophies from this site. So why shouldn't I use some time on this site to answer the people who are so nice to comment on one of my threads? As far as I can tell, the QTEs are a pain. it was the reason why i didn't finish the game yet. The QTEs in the first case where I have to flee from hunters killed me so often I rage quitted. Haven't touched the game ever since. I like Noir Settings. And I like crime games. I really liked everything I saw from the game so far. I started it back when i started console gaming. I didn't knew the buttons on a controller well enough, so I sucked a lot in the game. I'll probably have more fun know when I return to it. Can't wait to try it again but not before I finish what I already have on my to-do right now.
