Where Is Elder Scrolls VI?

They're still supporting Fallout 4, thus I wouldn't expect TES 6 to be released until 2020 at the earliest or 2022 at the latest.

2022? Omg. I'll be in my 50's by then. I can see taking your time to get it right, but I've already played Skyrim five times. I'd never have expected Bethesda to slow-track VI, especially after how successful V turned out to be.

The thing is from Bethesda's point of view, I'm sure they won't want to known for just the Elder Scrolls, then Fallout, Then another Elder Scrolls game, then another Fallout. The same as Rockstar not wanting to be known for just GTA and spreading their wings with other titles. Generally the majority of the staff who work on the next game will have worked on the previous game so exploring other genres prevents stagnation and burnout. Of course that leads to years passing until the next installment but I'm happy with that personally. I'd rather they come back to the series feeling fresh and ready to give us the best game they can. I understand the frustration that comes from waiting for so long, but I think it's for the best.

I think we will get The Elder Scrolls VI on PS5 as well as The Last of Us Part 2 since the release date for PS5 is told to be in 2018

If I may ask, source ?

I'm pretty much up to date on anything related to gaming and haven't seen any info going toward that.

Actually seen prospections (speculations) that the PS5 would be release not before end 2019 or even 2020. As of games such as Red dead redemption 2 is on pre-order right now for the PS4 and other ones that have release super far away.

As for the main subject .

Bethesda is working on a new IP as well.

We have more chances, I think, to see the new IP before ESVI. I think they want to take their time to make it even better.

And I hope they change their engine because Fallout 4 was far from other games when it comes to graphics. The background were beautiful but the characters gave me nightmares.

Yeah, you're right! I saw and just jumped into conclusions and probably just rumors anyway! I just thought that it's time because of all those frame drops in new games but the old ones and remastered versions are running great. I'm just afraid to think what they will do with The Last of Us 2 since they can do better than current system allows!

Where IS it? Come on, man! Bethesda needs to speed it up. Skyrim was amazing on the PS3. I'm dying to see what an E.S. game will look like on the PS4. Anyone know when they're actually going to release this? If they wait much longer, the bloody PS5 will be out.

Firstly, you can experience The Elder Scrolls on PS4 both with The Elder Scrolls: Online and the remastered Skyrim: Special Edition. There's also the Nintendo Switch version coming out soon. You can check these out while you wait for an announcement. Bethesda actually recently spoke out about something the team is cooking up, but it is unclear what this will be. It could be The Elder Scrolls related, or it could be something completely different. Whatever it is though, it's worth keeping an eye out on. I know I will be. I'm excited for the next The Elder Scrolls announcement like you, but unlike you, I can wait.

Secondly, there was an 8 year gap between PlayStation 3 and 4. PlayStation 4 just released in 2013, it's only been 4 years. Stop worrying about PlayStation 5, as we won't be seeing that until at least another 3-4 years.

Can we have the thread title changed? Definitely clickbait. Came expecting an announcement or something of that sort

Agreed.

As for the thread itself, once Bethesda got into the MMO game, that slows everything down.

Lol I don't think Bethesda will be doing an elder scrolls any time soon. I think that the MMO is certainly generating buttloads of money while they don't really have to build a new game from the grounds up.

Heck they've been charging $80 for some expansions like Morrowind in which it is less work than making a new game!
