It's called population control. The virtual deer are getting too widespread, so they're adding plats to deer hunting games to entice more trophy hunters to join the cause.

There is always deer simulator where you can play as the deer and get shot instead.
Fair warning though that game is pretty bad. 
and I was hoping the game had cars so I can get hit by one mainly for lulz.

Cabela had his own Cabela´s Hunting Games on PS3/PS2 (1 Remaster on PS4). Sadly that has stopped I think. Now I´m looking forward The Hunter Call of The Wild.

Better question. How many COD games do we need? It's become a sports franchise. Instead of names they should just change it to the year. Like COD19 COD20
