Let's use this thread for tips about challenges.

 

In my case, i'm completely stucked with sasquash #5, the combo is

66lk - lp - roundhouse - 66lk - lp - roundhouse

I can not connect the 2 dashes, i spent hours without a single success, I'm finding this even harder than Rykuo 5 and i'm hurting my fingers by dashing all this time, everytime i land after the roundhouse the combo resets no matter what, the guide says to input the dash during roundhouse but if i do so I never dash so i input that before i land, and it looks like i'm doing it correctly with the fastest possible speed but no, the combo resets before my second lk hits.

I tried both mid-screen and corner, no diffference...

 

EDIT: in the end, it accidentaly worked, although i still don't know what i have done differently...

Hey, i don't understand how you Can have trouble with sasquash, is very easy trials ( first try for me ahah ) i know your skill has no limite, in my opinion the most hard is 5 of Anakaris ( the mummy ) hard to get hammer, for Rikuo i not use start method cause i don't understand it, so for me is 3/10, my friend have reach the 100% on 2 hour.

Trying my best to complete 5th Sasquatch challenge and Rikuo's 2nd but no luck so far. Anyone has a solution for these? I've been playing 2D fighters for 20 years and still have problems because the gap is so small (even if I'm sure that I did it quickly enough for the Sasquatch). I'm aware of the walkthroughs and so on. I also have problem with connecting to anyone to at least try to get 10 wins trophy.

Edit: OK. I've managed to complete Rikuo's 2nd challenge, but only with a well-known glitch.

Couldn't edit my post second time so I'll write it here. Just managed to complete Sasquatch's 5th challenge. The biggest tip from me is to do the roundhouse kick a little bit later than the first two hits. Only then you'll have enough time to do the second dash. If you do the roundhouse too early the game will cancel your combo, because the time gap before the next dash will be too big.

Help please! I'm trying to make Rikuo #5 for a month, but can't link dash cancel to dashing jab. I did full combo many times and still never had linked that. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

There's a method for this. I haven't tried this one yet, but the one for Rikuo's 2nd challenge has worked, so I guess this will work too. Search for "Dark Stalkers Resurrection Rikuo Challenge 5 Help" on YouTube. There's a guy called jaredsshield who has published a video for this. Hope it will work for you.

Oh, so you did it already. Nevermind then What was your method for this?

Youtube guy used turbo joystick to pause/unpause, so video is not useful for me. I did 2nd challenge using easy method, so didn't know timings. And after I started to train the hardest part of combo #5 on challenge #2, I found out that need to press buttons much faster! Really crazy thing.

On challenge 4

Activate Astral Vision to make the cr.HP cancel much easier

(LP,LP, forward MP,HP) cr.LK, cr.HP, Darkness Illusion

 

I also have a hori fight commander controller with turbo buttons and it has helped made some challenges easier like Donovan's challenge 5#

Hey guys,

 

I'm having major issues with Sasquatch #5. I'm sure the second dash has not connected even once for me. 

 

I was thinking that could this challenge benefit from pausing? Like Rikuo's #2 and #5? Is this a common way to do this?

 

I quess I'll keep trying everyday for a couple of tries and try my luck. Awful linking on this challenge..

 

Edit: and in the end after 5 minutes of trying I got the trophy. You just have to be fast inputting the second dash as soon as the roundhouse ends.

If anybody wants to go for this and is struggling for Rikuo #5 the only way I was able to do it was automatically inputting the forward dash with the square to get the dash jab. Without doing this I was never able to get the combo to connect properly. Good luck to anyone attempting this it's absolutely brutal.
