Popular Post TomoTakino
Hey everyone, I'm Tomotakino and I've been a gamer since I first played an Atari 2600 back in the 80s (and got my own NES in 1990). Since then I've loved gaming of all kinds shapes and sizes, though my favorites tend to be RPGs, platformers and adventure games. I'm a completionist at heart so trophies (and achievements) naturally clicked with me and I tend to go after them as best as I can. However, I do love gaming not just for trophies (I'm a big fan of retro and Nintendo in general) and I'll often jump back and forth between games. Because of this, my backlog will probably be limited to games I'm currently playing through or planning rather than a complete backlog. I also enjoy playing through games as a series, both to appreciate the evolution but also for continuity (and if I enjoy a game, I'll likely check out the rest of the games in the series). I'm also a huge fan of the Lego games as you can probably tell from my profile and I tend to play through all of them. I know I've had limited exposure on the site but from lurking and from my limited interaction everyone here seems fantastic and lovers of gaming and hopefully this will be enjoyable. I decided to create this checklist both to remind myself of the games I've played and the journey my profile has taken but also to share my thoughts on the games I've completed and keep myself more focused on the games I'm attempting to complete. I was originally an Xbox focused gamer who occasionally played my PS3 but switched to PS3 around 2012 after picking up a few cheap exclusives and really enjoying myself (and further cementing it after getting my PS4). While many of my games are rather easy completions (predominately due to me moving on to something else if I get stuck) and this list pales in comparison to most of the players, I hope you'll enjoy it irregardless. Also please bear in mind that my hidden trophies are not truly hidden but are still affected by the PSN trophy glitch that started in August 2016 and that includes three platinums. Feel free to peruse and say hi! Platinums 1-10 Spoiler #1 Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Vita) January 23, 2013 (11:44 PM) Despite owning a PS3 since 2006 and having trophies in assorted games, the first platinum I unlocked was for Lego Batman 2 on the Vita, which came with the system I picked up that month and played quite a bit (it's not as bad as people make it out to be). The game itself wasn't half bad either, pretty watered down but fun none the less. Since the game was pretty short and easy to play through, I ended up getting the platinum trophy and started my obsession. #2 Ratchet & Clank (PS3) January 31, 2013 (6:25 PM) This is one series that I absolutely loved on the PS2 (having completed most of the challenges 100%) and the remastered trilogy was what originally brought me back over from Xbox. This one had a good chance of being my first platinum but Lego Batman ended up being an easier completion than R&C. As much as I love the game, this one was a bit hard to go back to after all the upgrades Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal brought. The limited health made the game unnecessarily challenging and the million bolt trophy was tough without any multiplier but I truly enjoyed replaying the game again despite James Arnold Taylor not voicing Ratchet and the awkwardness of their relationship. Still have to go back to the Vita version at some point. #3 Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando (PS3) June 13, 2013 (6:33 PM) Naturally, after playing through the first Ratchet & Clank game, I started playing through the second game: Going Commando, though it took me a little bit longer to get the platinum (I was playing a bunch of other games at the time). And this one really defines what a great sequel should do. The upgraded weaponry and health really make this a much more enjoyable ride, especially with the humorous story. Even though I have the platinum for this one, I'll still play through it every now and again just because it's a great port and a great game overall. #4 Lego Legends of Chima October 1, 2013 (6:51 PM) Being a huge Lego fan, I had to get this one, especially since it wasn't available on consoles. I was slightly apprehensive at first but this game is really great despite the limitations of the hardware. The game does it's best to transcribe the open world exploration of the console versions with an enjoyable story mode. It was just too bad that they switched gears with Lego Marvel (which I felt was terrible). #5 Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal January 9, 2014 (4:29 PM) The final game of the remaster trilogy and it was awesome. Not quite the leap that Going Commando was from R&C but still a great game overall. I actually enjoyed playing this online again too but I mainly played it for the story mode (which took me a few more playthroughs than usual to upgrade all the weapons and get 10 million bolts). I stopped playing this for a while in July but I came back to it in December and finished it afterwards (most likely due to getting Deadlocked HD). #6 Ratchet: Deadlocked January 17, 2014 (12:25 PM) This game came free with my purchase of Full Frontal Assault and unlike the trilogy, it was a pretty bad port. The 3D models constantly fell out of line (character's teeth would appear out of their mouths) but the game was pretty fun, despite being short. It's not like a normal Ratchet game though, it's more like a full fledged spinoff for the arena mode in the previous games but it's a quick platinum. #7 Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 (Vita) March 1, 2014 (1:38 AM) This was a game that I originally got with my Vita back in 2013 but I put it off to play other games. But after finishing the four Ratchet remasters I decided to finally sit down and play through it and, like the other Vita Lego games at the time, was a short easy completion that was pretty fun. The dueling feature seemed really cool at first but it was pretty lackluster in the end. #8 Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS3) June 2, 2014 (8:17 PM) After playing through the Ratchet & Clank remasters, I really wanted to try some of the other PS3 remaster collections and the next one on my list was an old collect-a-thon favorite of mine: Jak & Daxter. It's interesting going back to this game after playing the sequels as the gameplay is more reminiscent of Banjo Kazooie rather than the open world missions of Jak 2 or the driving hybrid Jak 3. Still, the game was a lot of fun, even though I got frustrated searching for those last few orbs hidden in the worlds. #9 Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus (Vita) June 12, 2014 (11:12 PM) Sly Cooper was the other remaster collection I went back to since I picked up the Vita collection which was quite smooth and fun (unlike the Jak & Daxter collection, which was rocky at best). I loved the cross between stealth gameplay and collect-a-thon this game introduced and playing through it was a blast, especially since I never got to try this on PS2 (though I did briefly try it on PS3 back in 2010). The one hit kills were a little annoying (I'm glad they fixed that in Sly 2) but it added to the stealth requirement. It was a pretty easy completion but a fun one. #10 Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus (PS3) June 17, 2014 (10:54 PM) Around the same time as I was playing the Vita version (which I mainly took with me to work), I was playing the PS3 version on the big screen and using my knowledge of the Vita playthrough to help me earn this platinum as well. The game runs a bit smoother on PS3 but they're still both great versions of the game. Platinums 11-20 Spoiler #11 Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time August 18, 2014 (5:35 PM) This game was awesome! I also beat Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty around this time but this game upgraded a lot and made things a lot smoother. I also loved the open world space missions in the game and though the ending was a bit sad, it was a great story. I still like Going Commando a lot better but this one is probably in my top 3 for the series. #12 Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus October 25, 2014 (4:55 PM) A short but sweet ending to the future storyline. I jumped ahead to this game since All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault were more spin offs than actual Ratchet & Clank games (that and I wanted to see the ending to the future story). Despite being a really short game, it was fun and brought back a lot of the charm that made the games awesome. #13 The Lego Movie Video Game (PS4) December 27, 2014 (10:37 PM) My first PS4 platinum! As many people are aware, thanks to a major DDoS attack, Playstation Network was down for several days, which irritated me as I could not redeem my Littlebigplanet 3 voucher I got with my brand new PS4. Instead, my ex had also gotten me Lego Movie Video Game, which I played through on a temporary profile before I could finally download my profile and sync this to it. Very short and very easy but still a great game and very funny to boot. The only major flaw I had (besides the extremely short length) was the story that was chopped to bits in an attempt to get you to see the movie in theaters. #14 Lego Lord of the Rings (Vita) January 14, 2015 (8:21 PM) On my first of two platinums that day (something that doesn't happen very often for me), I completed Lego Lord of the Rings on my Vita. This was also one of the games I got when I purchased my Vita now two years prior but after completing The Lego Movie game, I was on a Lego kick and wanted to play through more. Another short game that's watered down but still fun and an easy completion. #15 Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues January 14, 2015 (9:23 PM) Despite a lot of people hating this one, I loved it back when it came out. The change to open world was great I felt and though it was irritating tracking down characters to unlock them, the change was one for the best I thought. This was definitely going to be my first ever platinum as I beat everything 100% and collected everything. However, due to a glitch, the Free Play trophy would not unlock for me despite beating all levels several times. Frustrated, I shelved this until I finished Lego Lord of the Rings, when I decided to give it one last chance. In a move that's both irritating and relieving, the trophy popped after completing the first two levels, making my first ever platinum ultimately become my fifteenth. #16 Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor February 12, 2015 (11:48 PM) Assassin's Creed in Middle Earth? Sign me up! Despite me haven't playing an Assassin's Creed game since 1 at the time (due to reasons beyond my control), I loved this game especially for the Nemesis system. At first it was quite overpowering (one Orc grew impossible to kill after he defeated me ten times) but once I invested some time into upgrading my character it was a blast and it made the enemies more personal. I'll still have to go back and finish the DLC sometime. #17 Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (PS4) February 23, 2015 (1:43 AM) This was another game I got with my PS4 and I did like the story and all the characters but I felt as though the mini worlds were a step down, especially considering how often I got lost rotating around them. Still, being able to play as Batcow and Duck Dodgers was pretty awesome and rescuing Adam West was fun. The DLC was pretty meh too and I had a lot higher hopes for it but they ended up being mini levels that could be beaten rather quickly. #18 Lego The Hobbit (PS4) March 22, 2015 (11:24 PM) I was really disappointed that they chose to leave the third movie out of this one and instead focus only on the first two. It was still an epic game that I really enjoyed but it still felt half finished, especially with the cliff hanger they ended the game with. Lego LotR on consoles was still the better of the two though. #19 Lego Marvel Super Heroes (PS4) April 13, 2015 (2:14 AM) This was honestly my favorite of the early PS4 Lego games. Huge hub world, cool superheroes with their unique power-ups and Deadpool. How could you go wrong? Plus transforming into Stan Hulk was pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to playing the sequel when it releases! #20 Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection May 1, 2015 (8:43 PM) This was a fantastic collection of games and one I highly recommend, especially at the low price point they're asking. You get all the Streets of Rage games, all the Genesis Sonic games, all the Phantasy Star games (including 1, which is technically a Master System game) and a bunch of other titles that I really enjoyed. I even found some new Genesis games I enjoyed like Gain Ground, Beyond Oasis and Fatal Labyrinth. Sure, the lock in Sonic games weren't included (meaning you don't get the excellent Sonic 3 & Knuckles) but it's still a great collection of games worth playing. But screw that Mean Bean Machine trophy. It took me way too long to unlock that even with the password to unlock the final stage. Platinums 21-30 Spoiler #21 Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires May 2, 2015 (2:39 AM) I really enjoy the Warriors series, especially when I just want to unwind and play a game that's not super complex but a bit of fun and I especially love the Empires versions as I can create my friends and family and conquer the lands with them at my side (usually in co-op). And I really loved this game as it introduced a bunch of new features to help break up the monotony and keep things fresh. Being able to play as your character under a leader rather than a ruler really made things interesting and the friendship/marriage system was a cool addition to allow you to bring in troops that you've befriended/married. Simple platinum but a lot of fun. Still somewhat repetitive though. #22 The Walking Dead (Vita) April 26, 2015 (3:01 AM) This game is infamous for being an insanely easy platinum (simply complete the roughly 10 hour story to get it) but despite that, I really enjoyed this game a lot. I initially purchased this version because I really liked it on Steam but wanted to take it to work with me. However, the magic is kind of lost after replaying the game a second time, despite the game pretty much drawing you in a second time to see how different choices affect the outcome (unfortunately, not much). Still, the storyline was very good (despite being very clunky on Vita) and it was fun replaying the game a second time (and still very emotional). #23 Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F May 14, 2015 (11:38 AM) I loved music rhythm games back in the day. Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Rock Revolution, Power Gig, you name it I played it and enjoyed it. But this game was one I hadn't really heard of and when it went on sale I picked it up on a whim knowing pretty much nothing about it. But after playing through it, I really loved the gameplay and the catchy songs and soon became a big fan. I even saw Hatsune Miku live in concert, which was a blast (albeit a little geeky). Diva Mode was an interesting addition as well that gave you a more direct way to interact with the vocaloids but I much preferred playing through the songs (I especially liked Time Machine, Odds & Ends and Monochrome Blue Sky). However, some songs on Extreme were a bit too tough (Sadistic Music Factory I'm looking at you). Still have to finish the Vita version but a really fun game. #24 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) November 4, 2015 (2:27 AM) I still can't believe it took me 8 years to finally sit down and give this game a serious try, despite owning it since 2013 and being told repeatedly since 2007 to check it out. And despite being nearly a decade old when I played it, it still looked beautiful and played amazingly. The storytelling is amazing, the action is fast paced and it truly feels like an action movie with little filler. I was not so much a fan of the never ending waves of enemies in this game but in the end it still felt like an epic journey and I truly enjoyed it. I also never thought I'd get through this on Crushing, since I have a tendency to get stuck on higher difficulties and move on but I pushed through and finally conquered it. And all I can say is screw the aquaduct. As my wife would say, it can go "die in a fire". #25 Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc November 26, 2015 (5:17 PM) I stumbled upon this game in a local electronics shop and was intrigued enough to purchase it. And it was a doozy of a game and also the first one I completed on my Playstation TV, which I had just picked up at a heavy discount from Best Buy. It feels like a cross between Saw and Phoenix Wright and it really makes you think, especially outside the box and I like that in games. Sure the storyline was depressing and full of despair (which in the game's favor is what they were going for) but this game really intrigued me and the post game "school mode" was pretty fun. The characters, despite being extremely out there and different, were interesting and I enjoyed my time with this game. Just gotta finish the second game now (and the others in the series). #26 Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures December 2, 2015 (3:51 AM) When I first heard they were bringing back 3D Pac-Man platforming, I had high hopes of Pac-Man World 4, as I loved the Pac-Man World series on Playstation 1 & 2 (I'm still holding out hope that 2 & 3 will become PS2 on PS4 titles). But what I got was a way toned down game where Pac-"Man" is in grade school and friends with the ghosts, exploring pretty linear worlds. While ultimately I grew to like it more as I kept playing it, I still feel as though it's an average game at best. Truthfully, if you take out the Pac-Man characters, you'd hardly know it was Pac-Man but I guess this is based on the children's TV show so the target audience is probably not those of us who grew up with the original Pac-Man. #27 Grand Theft Auto III December 29, 2015 (11:19 PM) Around December of 2015, they announced that they were bringing PS2 games to PS4 with trophy support and I was immediately on board. The PS2 library was filled with great games and being able to play them in a higher resolution with trophies and remote play support? Sign me up! Grand Theft Auto 3 was one of the launch titles and it was one of my favorite PS2 games back in the day though the last offroad mission always kept me from getting 100%. A lot of people say it hasn't aged well but I still love this game despite it's flaws and blocky looks. And I managed to finally take down the dreaded offroad mission on the second try and 100% the game this time, despite having to get all the extra content done early or it will become impossible due to the rivalries with gangs you develop. While Vice City and San Andreas both take this gameplay and do it better, I still loved this game and it was awesome finally having a platinum trophy for this game. #28 Lego Jurassic World (PS4) January 17, 2016 (12:19 AM) Another Lego platinum! I purchased this game around the time in came out in June of 2015 but backlogged it mainly because of everything going on around that time. But I finally sat down and played through this game. And like Lego Batman 3, it was a bunch of mini hubs based on each movie to explore which made sense but I still prefer the huge open worlds. The game also felt somewhat short compared to the other ones but for covering all four movies, it did a good job of recreating them. And still, it's a Lego game. It's fun and great for co-op. #29 Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4) January 19, 2016 (2:24 AM) What a haunting storyline! Sorry, terrible pun. I enjoyed this game immensely, despite it being extremely short and it vaguely reminds me of Tsugani on the PS2. The premise of the game, playing as a murdered detective solving his own murder, and being able to explore and help other souls move on to the afterlife was awesome. It was chilling and fascinating and a unique tale I wish other companies would explore more. The only problem I had was that it was very lacking in content and I 100% it in a couple days. Still a great game, especially if you can find a deal on it. #30 Final Fantasy VII January 27, 2016 (1:06 AM) Ah, everyone's favorite Final Fantasy. I've been a huge fan of the series ever since I first played Final Fantasy VI though unlike the majority of series fans, I like VI and X better than VII (though I do still love this game). But I haven't really had a chance to revisit this since the early 2000s and with the ability to fast forward and skip past random encounters made this journey a whole lot more enjoyable. Re-experiencing this game really made me appreciate it more (as I understood the plot a whole lot more this time around) and it was a fun replaying a game I loved growing up. I'm really glad they gave IX the same treatment for PS4 and I hope VIII (and maybe the rest of the early games) make their way over too. It'll be interesting to see how much has changed when the remake releases this year. Platinums 31-40 Spoiler #31 Life is Strange (PS3) February 29, 2016 (4:18 AM) This is a game I bought on sale just to try it out and see if it was any good. And truth be told I was gripped to my controller for the entirety of the journey. It was a beautiful tale about a young girl who gets a mysterious power that she can use and abuse as much as she wants. The choices, unlike Walking Dead, seemed really impactufl and powerful this time around (saving a suicidal character's life and having them show up later/not depending on your actions?) and the fact that you could rewind to see other outcomes before choosing really made it interesting. The ending was somewhat weak but mainly because you grew to love the characters in this story. Replaying for photo ops and being able to jump back to pretty much whenever was also great for replayability and unlike Walking Dead, which kind of loses it's magic after replaying, this game still felt impactful and powerful. #32 Ratchet & Clank (PS4) June 4, 2016 (3:14 PM) Wow what a beautiful remake and a really great game. While they did change a lot I feel as though it was for the better, though I wasn't a fan of them retconning Dr. Nefarious into the game. Still, the game is one of the best looking PS4 games I've played, it played smooth and was a blast (though a bit short). It's sad that the movie tanked I really hope that it doesn't affect the future of the game franchise. I'd love to play a new Ratchet & Clank on PS4 again but I'm worried that they're shelving the series for a while. #33 Bully June 11, 2016 (8:12 PM) Another PS2 on PS4 game that I really enjoyed replaying. I never played the original PS2 version (I had just upgraded to PS3 and Xbox 360 that year) but I did get the enhanced "Scholarship Edition" on Xbox 360 and that was a blast. While this version lacked that extra content (mainly just a couple classes and multiplayer minigames), it was still awesome revisiting this game. I loved that each NPC was named and had their own personality and it felt like an actual school (though heavily exaggerated). There was a ton of extra content to do like bike racing, collecting rubber bands and it was an awesome game despite all the initial controversy, which I suspect was more from people who never played it or didn't understand the game (which surprisingly takes a bit of an anti bullying stance, despite allowing you to do so). #34 Life is Strange (PS4) June 27, 2016 (8:19 AM) After playing this game and enjoying it a ton, I ended up finding and purchasing the Limited edition of this game on PS4, which included the game on disc, a soundtrack and a notebook all for a relatively good price. Because of this, I invited my wife to play through the game and watching her reactions and seeing her choices compared to mine was just as much fun as playing through it the first time. The story was still awesome after completing it again and my wife really enjoyed it as well, though she had mixed feelings about the ending. #35 Lego Marvel's Avengers July 2, 2016 (6:28 PM) Another Lego game down! Having loved Lego Marvel, I was excited to play through Lego Avengers but it ended up being a clunky mess. While the recreation of the Avengers movies were pretty good, the fact that they added in four additional movies made it somewhat of a jumbled mess, especially since they didn't cover these movies extremely well. The game ended up being fun (though the DLC was again short) but then again I enjoy the Lego formula a lot. Still, it was one of the weaker entries in the franchise. #36 God of War July 12, 2016 (8:30 PM) Around this time, I picked up the God of War saga for cheap on PS3 which was funny enough, the PS2 version was the first game I played on my PS3, thanks to my friend's recommendation which allowed me to pick up these games when I bought the system. Having not played them since then, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It has a massive sense of scale (though not as much as GoW2), it was brutal and violent and I loved the Greek mythology setting the game took place in. It feels like Devil May Cry on steroids where the moves were bigger and gory and, as you can tell from my next few completions, I enjoyed replaying the entire saga (and several of them for the first time). #37 God of War II July 17, 2016 (12:06 AM) After finishing the awesome God of War, I had to move onto the sequel and finish it, especially since I never beat it back in the day (the furthest I got was exploring the giant horses). But wow what a way to start this game. The scale is even bigger that the first game and fighting a giant statue was a massive adrenaline rush. The story was also pretty epic but I'm not a fan of cliffhanger endings. Still, it was a fantastic sequel and surprisingly an easier platinum than the first game, though the challenge of the titans did give me a run for my money. #38 God of War: Chains of Olympus July 17, 2016 (10:55 PM) This was a game that despite looking forward to and playing the demo for, I never got a chance to play this on PSP. But after playing through this, I'm surprised they had a demo as the who game was easily beaten in a few hours. Because of this, this game is currently my fastest platinum, though I likely could have finished it faster if I had waited until the evening to start the game. While it is pretty fun, the game is incredibly linear and getting 100% in this is almost as simple as going forward until the end which is likely the product of it being a ported handheld game. It was an interesting side story though, even if it was only briefly mentioned in God of War 3. #39 God of War III August 19, 2016 (10:38 PM) This was an epic conclusion to an epic series and possibly my favorite of the ones I've played. Everything got cranked up to 11 as Kratos exacts his revenge upon everyone and everything in his path and despite being needlessly violent and brutal, there was something really enjoyable about this game and how it wrapped up the storyline. I honestly had doubts I would ever get this platinum, like Uncharted, due to the difficulty trophy, though truthfully I had doubts about the entire series and I'm now two platinums away from completion. While the platinum trophy is a lot more time consuming than the previous games, it's worth it. #40 Goat Simulator (PS4) August 1, 2016 (8:03 PM) Back in the day, you occasionally used to see random, weird games mixed in with the mainstream games, such as Mr. Mosquito (which is somewhat self explaintory), Chulip (which tasks you with kissing as many people as possible) or Boogerman. Nowadays, most of that has faded into obscurity, or at the very least the indie market. Until this game's off the wall premise made it infamous among streamers and set off a slew of other random simulators (I am Bread, Shower with your dad simulator). Admittingly, I was curious when I purchased this game and after you've done a few quests and explored the map a bit, the fun wears off and you're kind of left with a game that's silly but stale. Most of the trophies were easy (though flappy goat was a pain) and simply involved exploring, doing quests or finding collectables. I still have to go back and complete the DLC (Goat MMO was actually really fun) but the overall game was kind of meh. Platinums 41-50 Spoiler #41 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City September 13, 2016 (8:15 PM) Unfortunately, due to the PSN trophy glitch that started happening in August of 2016 (in which previously hidden trophies would remain hidden despite unhiding them), this platinum remains glitched and hidden. Which honestly is a shame as I put a huge amount of effort into getting this platinum. As many people are aware, GTA: Vice City took the series back to the 80s and introduced so many awesome new features and upgraded everything and because of it, it was such a blast revisiting. This game has a unique charm to it and I loved going around completing missions while listening to fake 80s advertisements (reminiscent of real ones) or buying up businesses to increase cash flow. The platinum has a devilish catch though: not only do you have to get 100% (which I did on September 5th) but also get the highest ranking in the game which requires hours more work to push your ranking over the edge. Effectively, you have to keep this trophy in mind the entire time you're playing or you'll make things infinitely harder on yourself. I ended up using the blow up all cars cheat over and over to inflate my score until this trophy popped. Hopefully, the PSN glitch will fix itself and I can show off this hard earned platinum. #42 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition December 14, 2016 (11:01 AM) Due to forces beyond my control, I was only ever briefly able to play through the introduction to Skyrim when it came out, despite being a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls. So when a PS4 version of it came out with mod support, I was one of the early adopters, mainly because I wanted to play through it and see how it compared to the previous games. Short answer is it was very good. I love how they streamlined a lot of it and the skills feel very useful. The quests were a lot of fun and I liked the game a lot overall but it felt more watered down than the previous games. It's kind of a bummer that Sony disallowed full mod support but truthfully there are still a lot of cool mods to play through. Plus revisiting Morrowind was epic as I was a huge Morrowind fan boy back in the day. Also, thanks to this release, my wife was able to play through the game too and she loved it. I'm curious to see how well the Switch version runs as I'm sure my wife and I will pick it up. #43 The Wolf Among Us (PS4) January 7, 2017 (12:50 AM) I've never read the Fables comic series but after playing through this journey, I may have to because my wife and I really enjoyed this game a lot. The way it blends Noir, classic fairy tales and gritty criminal detective story was pretty awesome and I can't wait for the second season to come out. It reminds me of the show Once Upon A Time but edgier and way more adult oriented (with more classic fairy tale characters). Very easy platinum but at least Telltale tried to switch it up this time by making you unlock character entries. #44 Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Tour January 8, 2017 (5:59 PM) Duke Nukem 3D is basically an 80s action movie taken to the extreme. A buff guy full of one liners and huge weapons takes on aliens to save the women of the world and it's as cheesy as it sounds. Still, the game was a blast back in the day (though my mom was extremely shocked to see the hero from the old DOS platformer swearing and tipping strippers) and I remember playing through this game several times on various platforms, with the arguably best version having been released on PC, PS3 and Vita (Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition). Seeing this port at Gamestop with a brand new 5th episode was intriguing and I picked it up if for no other reason than to play through the good Duke game on PS4 and it ended up being great, just as I remembered it. The fifth episode was pretty awesome too and poked fun at various events that happened since the release (including Duke Nukem Forever) and the rewind feature from the Megaton edition was still in the game too. However, the platinum was incredibly easy due to the removal of multiplayer trophies (major thanks to whoever did this one) and the fact that you could unlock trophies using cheats. Still, revisiting Duke and playing through a new episode was pretty cool even if the new 3D mode was done 10 years ago. #45 Goat Simulator (PS3) January 9, 2017 (6:55 PM) With this one, the game was on sale for very cheap ($2 if I'm not mistaken) and it had been a while since I played Goat Sim so I got it and figured if nothing else, it's another platinum. Plus my wife gives me a strange look whenever I play this game which encourages me to play it more often. Thankfully, the DLC wasn't released for the PS3 so I don't have to revisit this version again. #46 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 January 11, 2017 (9:58 PM) This was a game that I got around the same time as Danganronpa on the Vita (from a local electronics store) and I played it sporadically. It was an interesting cross between RPG and visual novel and I liked the video game related humor of the series a lot. The main characters being personifications of video game companies was pretty unique and the constant references to geek and anime culture was one of the reasons I persisted with this game despite it being kind of average overall. The battle system is kind of a unique blend of Chrono Cross and a strategy RPG and I did enjoy that aspect of it and the remake system that allows you to alter dungeons and create items was pretty awesome. However, there was a bit too much fan service in this one for my liking. Still, it was interesting and I'm looking forward to continuing the series to see how the rest of it plays. #47 The Walking Dead (PS4) January 21, 2017 (10:24 PM) Yes, I know, another easy completion. However, this game was on sale and since my PC and the Vita ran this game very choppy, I decided to grab it. And undoubtedly, the PS4 version is the best way to experience the game if you're playing it on console. The game is buttery smooth, the visuals are crisp and uncompressed and it really drives home the quick reaction times that you need to enjoy this game the way it was meant to be played. Plus, after playing through The Wolf Among Us and Life is Strange with my wife, she was interested in this game and playing through it again to see her choices and reactions made it fun again, despite me knowing the choices and their consequences. #48 Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens (PS4) February 1, 2017 (12:18 PM) When the Force Awakens was released to theaters, I was not shocked that TT Games released a Lego version. Star Wars was the franchise that put TT Games' Lego series on the map after all. Thankfully, they released a Deluxe Edition this time around that came with all the DLC. Because of this, I was able to snag it for the same price as the regular release thanks to the Prime 20% discount that they implemented around the time of this release. I really liked the concept of multi builds this game introduced and there was a lot of tune ups and improvements they made this time around. While the DLC was very short again (like the previous two games that offered it), they at least offered some interesting side stories, such as how C3PO got his red arm. They also had some fun trophies too, such as defeating Kylo as Darth Vader but TT Games does do this with a lot of Lego games. #49 Magus February 20, 2017 (2:51 PM) Thankfully I got this one on sale for extremely cheap because it's definitely a mediocre game. This game is also infamous for being a short game with an easy platinum and after playing through it, I can see why. It's a third person shooter that is pretty much just firing at enemies coming out of portals until you win. There's a leveling system in place but it only serves to unlock new types of spells (ways to shoot enemies) and kill them faster and the story is very weird. If you want an easy platinum, play this game. If you want a good game, look elsewhere. #50 South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3) March 2, 2017 (2:15 PM) This game was pretty epic, especially with most licensed games being average at best (save the Lego games). I loved that it was all the kids playing a huge game of pretend and it was basically South Park humor cranked up to 11. It was witty, hilarious, random and raunchy and it definitely felt like being in a long episode of South Park. Seriously, how many games let you choose a Jew class, filled with custom abilities and equipment, fight underpants gnomes with a dildo sword on your parents bed as they have sex and then go on a quest to find a bomb in a gay man's colon? It was somewhat short but that may have been because I enjoyed playing through the game quite a bit. There's a lot of missables if you're platinum hunting but a lot of great, hilarious trophies. Platinums 51-60 Spoiler #51 Assassin's Creed II (PS4) May 3, 2017 (11:54 AM) Surprisingly, due to circumstances beyond my control, I never played Assassin's Creed II until the PS4 remaster came out. While I did play through most of Assassin's Creed 1 when it was released, I didn't give the sequel a play until I got the remastered Ezio trilogy and boy do I regret it because this game is awesome. There was a ton of collectables to find, lots of side missions, tons of buildings to purchase and upgrade and I loved the story and how you got to meet and interact with real historical figures (mainly Leonardo Da Vinci). Being a big history buff, the way it played into real life organizations and figures really made it interesting and kept me hooked though the way it jumped around in time was a bit confusing at first. Still, I can see how this game became famous for being a fantastic sequel and a great game overall and I'm very sad I didn't get to experience this one earlier (though having all the DLC on disc did make up for it slightly). #52 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS4) May 16, 2017 (11:24 AM) After experiencing the awesome Assassin's Creed II, I was ready to experience more of Ezio Auditore's journey and jumped immediately into the sequel. While it was scaled down a bit compared to II, I still enjoyed this game a lot and the ending was pretty shocking (kind of like the prequel). I also liked the fact that the real life segments were slightly shorter as I would get immersed into Ezio's journey in Assassin's Creed II, only to jump back into real life and it was slightly jarring (though I did enjoy Desmond's story). Basically this one felt like more of what I loved in II and I'm really glad the remaster didn't include the online trophies as I was able to get the platinum for this one because of that. I still have to go back to Revelations and get the plat for that since I keep getting sidetracked. #53 Gravity Rush Remastered June 2, 2017 (4:22 PM) I first played this game on Vita and I enjoyed it quite a bit on there but never sat down and finished it. But when I got the remastered version on sale, I finally gave it the chance it deserved and really enjoyed the experience, even though this game's price is crazy expensive now if you want the physical copy. Still, to be able to play this on the big screen with all the DLC was worth the sale price I paid for it, even if the game is incredibly short. I loved being able to shift gravity around, especially watching the citizen's faces as they drifted off the ground. It was disorienting at times though but it was a fun, open world experience. #54 The Walking Dead (PS3) August 14, 2017 (12:09 PM) Yeah, this platinum again. To be honest, this game was on sale for dirt cheap and I figured it was another easy platinum so why not go for the trifecta? Still, screw the rock paper scissors trophy. #55 Lego City Undercover September 14, 2017 (9:33 PM) When I first played this on Wii U, I wasn't sure what to expect since it was the first major Lego game that wasn't tied to a license since Lego Island. But I ended up loving every second of it and it quickly became my favorite Lego game ever. So when it was remastered for PS4, I knew I had to pick it up. And playing it again, it reminded me of just why I loved this game in the first place. Huge open world to explore, tons of hilarious parodies and references (though the Nintendo ones were changed or removed) and lots of different roles to play. Co-op was added in (surprisingly it wasn't in the Wii U version) and the game ran a lot smoother this time around. However, by the time I was nearing 100%, the game was crashing every half an hour. Still, this is the Lego game to get if you're interested in the series and I still love this game despite the crashes. #56 Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Vita) September 27, 2017 (9:48 PM) To be completely honest, I was apprehensive about the Lego games on Vita after playing Lego Marvel, as I wasn't a big fan of the revamped gameplay style they introduced. Instead of worlds to explore and levels to play through, they made small levels with numerous mini goals and, most frustratingly, only one life to complete them on. But after playing this one, I saw that they had switched to a mix between the two and I really loved the style. Sure it was short and the graphics were heavily compressed but each regular level was broken into three small levels so you still got the whole experience. Best of all, you could die as many times as you like (though there were specials goals that you could lose out on if you did). This was a great handheld game and it's a shame that it's looking to be the last one on Vita. #57 Lego Ninjago Movie: The Videogame October 10, 2017 (11:27 AM) I really liked the style changes of this game and it felt really unique and interesting. Rather than have separate story levels and hub worlds, the story took place in the hub and all the freeplay collectables were hub collectables. I also really liked the True Ninjago rating system, which applied to the entire game and had you rank up as you earned more studs, though it meant you couldn't spend money until you hit max rank (unless you wanted to get those studs back) but the only real thing to spend studs on was the builds. A lot of the collectables were somewhat confusing though and the game felt incredibly short (and somewhat rushed) but I felt it was very fun and I enjoyed my time with this one. Plus it was my first Playstation Pro platinum after my previous PS4 died and wouldn't take discs after playing this game. #58 The Lego Movie Videogame (Vita) October 12, 2017 (1:07 PM) I remember getting this game with my Playstation TV and trying it for a short while, only to be disappointed that it continued the Lego Marvel style of gameplay. But after beating Lego Star Wars on Vita, I replayed this game and actually came around and really enjoyed it. While a lot of the goals were repeats and you still failed instantly if you died, it was a lot more enjoyable than I remember it being. Still not the best Lego game on Vita though. #59 Lego Worlds November 1, 2017 (4:46 PM) If you want to talk about platinum trophies I never thought I'd get, this would have been near the top, simply because I figured Billionaire was well out of my reach. I got most of the trophies on launch as I explored and enjoyed the game but even after obtaining the top rank, I was only around 5 million studs. But thanks to a tip from Packattack and the update allowing you to sell multiples of items at a time, I was able to farm Gems using a custom build and get it (with the other two remaining coming shortly after). I really enjoyed this game for what it was. It reminds me of a cross between Minecraft and No Man's Sky, allowing you to discover items to use for yourself as you explore biomes and build whatever you want to. My only major complaint was that the saves for this game ate up a ton of space (gigabytes of data) but this remains most likely my proudest platinum. #60 Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online November 7, 2017 (6:58 PM) When I first heard that they were doing this, I had imagined Neptunia meets .hack or Sword Art Online and that really caught my interest, enough so that I pre-ordered the game. What it ended up being was an action RPG version of Hyperdimension that took place in a fake online world. I really liked that you could choose to play as any of your favorite characters, each with their own skills, class and gameplay style and I did like the shift to action RPG, which made it way more fast paced. There was still a lot of fan service and it seemed more blatant this time around (including a 'weird camera angle') which was something I wasn't big on. The game was really short too and the story was pretty meh but I did enjoy this game and it was a pretty fun spin off. Platinums 61-70 Spoiler #61 Lego Dimensions (PS4) November 8, 2017 (4:07 PM) This game is the ultimate Lego game and the ultimate mash up. Sure it's very pricey to pick everything up but there's a plethora of awesome licenses here. Back to the Future (voiced by Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd), ET, A Team, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, the list goes on and on. And they actually interact with each other, such as Doc Brown mistaking Scooby for Einstein or Sonic telling the Ghostbusters he has a creepy doll that needs an exorcism. The additional stories were also some of the longest levels I've played in a Lego game (Sonic's took me over 2 hours to beat) and each additional character unlocks a hub world to explore or additional abilities. Plus building and rebuilding the awesome figurines is a really cool touch (having a miniature Lego Delorian is awesome). The thing I really like about it though is being able to pay studs to rent a hero to get the collectables so you're not completely locked out by a paywall. I still have to finish the last two story packs but I'm certain I will continue to play this for a long while just to experience the overwhelming amount of content in the game. #62 Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (PS4) November 17, 2017 (9:01 PM) This one worried me a lot to be honest. The game was notoriously glitchy on PS3 and Xbox 360 and when I completed it back on 360, I had to replay it 3 times to get the completion since it glitched numerous times. The most worrying was when I was 4 gold bricks short of 200, knowing I had explored every cranny of Hogwarts. Thankfully, I found the four in the basement of the Leaky Cauldron and managed to get this trophy. Onto Harry Potter Years 5-7! #63 Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (PS4) November 23, 2017 (3:49 PM) Another Lego game! I remember playing this when it first came out and really enjoying it so I was looking forward to revisiting it. And truthfully, the updates from 1-4 was really nice. I liked the ghosts that showed you area totals so you know where a missing student in peril or collectable is located and it was slightly less glitchy overall (though in my case, it was glitchy but in a beneficial way, counting extra gold bricks for some reason). Also, what was up with "Year 8"? *checks title* I realize that Year 7 part 2 sounds weird but better than adding bonus years. Meh. #64 Catlateral Damage November 24, 2017 (10:28 PM) This game was one I picked up very cheap on a flash sale and I ended up really enjoying. Having had numerous cats throughout my life, this one was quite funny and a great simple "cat simulator" that tasks you with knocking down as many objects as possible. It was humorous, filled with cat photos and puns and lots of little nods to cat owners, such as chasing lasers or smacking around toilet paper rolls. While it's generally regarded to be an easy platinum, I took my time and enjoyed the game. Just one thing though: why couldn't I knock over the Christmas tree? I can't tell you how many times my cats have done that! #65 Steins;Gate (PS3) December 2, 2017 (7:27 PM) I got this one on a flash sale around May but I didn't give it a serious try until last week when it was mentioned that the platinum trophy is an easy one (which I'm trying to quickly accumulate so I can get the reward and earn a $10 PSN card). And though the intro didn't capture me the first time I played it, after playing through the first couple chapters, I was hooked! This is easily one of my favorite visual novels ever and was extremely well written. I've always been a huge fan of time travel ever since I saw Back to the Future in the 80s (and further cemented by one of my favorite games Chrono Trigger) so the interesting perspective this game takes along with the real quantum science drew me in instantly. The characters were awesome and I truly ended up enjoying this one quite a bit more than I expected to. If you haven't played it give it a whirl. #66 Steins;Gate (Vita) December 3, 2017 (10:05 PM) Having double dipped on the game during the sale, I decided to fire up the Vita version. I was quite shocked that the Vita version wasn't as compressed or chopped up as I thought it would be (it still looked and sounded nice). But having just finished it on PS3, I managed to speed run this one and complete it in a few hours (but thanks to me halfheartedly trying it in May, it counted as a six month completion). Still awesome, check it out if you can. #67 Lara Croft Go December 4, 2017 (1:07 PM) This is another one I bought on a whim and ended up enjoying more than I thought I would. This one is also now my fastest platinum trophy, clocking in at 3 hours 17 minutes. While the grid based gameplay took some getting used to (I'm not a huge fan of the isometric view), I actually enjoyed some of the puzzles and the game did keep that Tomb Raider feel to it, despite being locked onto a game board-esque grid. Having to find hidden pots was also a neat idea but some of them were almost impossible to find (hidden in the far background or behind rocks). While the game was almost too short, I enjoyed my time with it and I may play this one with my wife later on (who enjoys puzzles and brain teasers). It did remind me though that I have to go back and finish Tomb Raider. That game was epic. #68 Hitman Go: Definitive Edition December 4, 2017 (5:44 PM) The Hitman series was one that I don't have a huge amount of experience with, having only really played Hitman 2 back in the PS2 days. However, the series is interesting and I loved the concept back in the day, I just unfortunately haven't played many of the games in the series. Hitman Go was, however, on sale at the time I bought it and though it doesn't accurately reflect the gameplay, it's still an interesting game. Like Lara Croft Go, it's more of a puzzle/board game and I really liked that each level had separate objectives to complete, such as "kill everyone" or "don't kill dogs". Still, I think I liked Lara Croft Go a lot better. The rotating map throws me off big time and makes me have to stop and readjust to the surroundings. I can't tell you how many times I was chased by a dog into one of those sections, only to accidentally move into them (or a guard in general) and have to restart. Still, for a game that was initially designed for mobile phones, it was fun and an interesting take on the franchise. #69 Teslagrad December 4, 2017 (10:32 PM) Three platinum trophies in one day is a new record for me and this is the game that did it! Thankfully though, I got this game for free on PS Plus because I didn't enjoy it much. The concept was pretty interesting (using magnetic energy to traverse and solve puzzles) but the physics felt way off. Seriously, there were numerous times I'd jump into a field thinking I was gonna rocket up only to crawl upwards at a slow pace (or even worse, fall and float downwards). There were also times I'd barely hit the button and fly upwards. A lot of the collectables were a pain in the butt to get too, such as the one that requires you to shoot yourself up onto a block and jump onto a magnetic platform and pull it to the collectable or one that requires you to dash as you're flying upwards to land on a ledge. It is interesting though having a game's trophy list exist solely based on collectables. Still, this game pushed me over the 10 platinum mark so as soon as Sony catches up, I should have 1000 rewards points! #70 Scribblenauts Showdown May 21, 2018 (6:00 PM) I was actually pretty jazzed when I heard they were making another Scribblenauts game. I really enjoyed the series on the DS and Wii U and the lower price point drew me in. However, I didn't enjoy this one as much mainly because there didn't feel like there was a whole lot to do. It seems like they cut out a lot of adjectives too and I was done with exploration in a matter of hours. After that, it felt like a Mario Party clone with less games. Still, it was a lot of fun flinging bankers into a tower Angry Birds style to take down my wife's structure first. I hope they continue making these games for the PS4 but with more content next time. Platinums 71-80 Spoiler #71 Sound Shapes (PS4) June 2, 2018 (1:21 PM) I got this one for free back in the day and decided to finally try it out. And even though it's an easy platinum trophy, I enjoyed this one a bit (though it felt a bit short). The gameplay reminds me a lot of Bit.Trip Runner with more of a puzzle influence and a lot of the songs were catchy and relaxing. The level editor that allows you to create your own songs is pretty awesome too. The death mode levels were a pain though. It felt like it was either a difficult pattern that required luck (like the four laser robots or the laser X that shot every few seconds) or they gave you barely enough time to finish (like the two asteroids or the missiles in the city). Still, I enjoyed this game and I'll probably still play it to create some music or drum beats. #72 Sound Shapes (PS3) June 2, 2018 (3:58 PM) This platinum was essentially a freebie. Once you get the platinum trophy, you can save your game to the cloud and reload it on any available platform the game is on and instantly unlock all the trophies and the platinum again. This is mainly due to the fact that each trophy is for completing a level in the game or a music stage, so once they're all unlocked you can instantly get all the trophies. Funny enough, the trophies didn't unlock for me immediately but after restarting the game, they all started popping up. #73 Sound Shapes (Vita) June 2, 2018 (4:45 PM) Another freebie. It honestly took longer to install this game than to pop the platinum and this game forever set my fastest platinum at 1 minute (unless there's a similar situation and the trophies pop faster). Essentially, I could platinum this game an additional three times by repurchasing the European, Japanese and Chinese versions, but considering I got the game free (and it was cross buy), I'd rather not spend the extra money to purchase the same platinum trophies. Still a fun game to play though. #74 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 June 6, 2018 (1:16 PM) I bought this one with the other two Re;Birth games a couple years ago and briefly started it after joining the Let's Play Neptunia forum (though I moved onto Cyberdimension instead). While the game is very samey to Re;Birth 1, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the little upgrades this game offered. I also enjoyed Nepgear a bit more as the protagonist of this one. However, I will say the DLC absolutely breaks this game if you get it. Nepgear's anime inspired sword boosts her strength up to 3000 at level 1 (allowing you to solo nearly every boss in the game), the super EXP saves tons of grinding and the Stella DLC almost feels necessary as it both halves the exploration time of dungeons and allows you to keep your gear to simply retry if you fail. Stella's minigame was not my favorite but with the DLC was manageable (though I was not happy when I failed True Neptral Tower three times after exploring for 13 hours each time). Still, I enjoyed this one and I'm looking forward to the next one. #75 Jak and Daxter: Precursor Legacy (Vita) June 13, 2018 (5:55 PM) This was the first rerelease of Jak & Daxter I played back in 2014 but honestly, it wasn't a fantastic port and I ended up switching to the PS3 version after I got that one instead. Still, I love collect-a-thons and this game is really awesome to play through again. Interestingly enough, since I last played a debug mode was found which I used sparingly to make finding precursor orbs a whole lot easier (though I didn't unlock the power cells early as I felt that would make the game boring). Still a blast to play through even if the game locked up on me five or six times trying to get the platinum. Most likely I'll be going for the triple platinum once my camp games are finished. #76 Resident Evil 7: Biohazard June 15, 2018 (10:48 PM) I got the gold edition of this game a while ago for really cheap and wanted to play this game but never got around to it. I'm glad I finally did though because this game was awesome. Very creepy and tense and it had a unique atmosphere that I felt called back to the older RE games while having it's own unique gameplay. Sure, the game lost a lot of that near the end of the game (and subsequent playthroughs as well) but the game was refreshing and a lot of fun. I'm hoping RE8 continues this style of gameplay! I'll eventually play through the DLC but it will likely be after I finish Final Fantasy XV (or fail to do so before the camp event expires). #77 Life is Strange: Before the Storm June 21, 2018 (1:05 AM) I was eagerly anticipating this one when it was announced but I got sidetracked in my backlog. However, the deluxe version went on sale for E3 and I ended up picking it up and swapping out my Sims 3 game for this one in the camp. My wife and I did really enjoy playing this one and the backtalk system was pretty awesome. Even though there weren't any superpowers in this one, it was still fun. I was slightly disappointed in the choices though. The thing I loved about Life is Strange were the characters and the huge impactful choices you had to make. In BfS, I didn't really get that same feeling, even though it did delve more into Chloe's life before Max. Still a very fun game though I much prefer the first game, even though it only took a few hours to get through. #78 Final Fantasy XV June 26, 2018 (9:09 PM) Now I just need the one after 909 (kudos to anyone who gets the reference)! At first, I had mixed feelings about this game and how different it was compared to the previous games. I wasn't a huge fan though I did spend roughly 30 hours exploring and doing side quests. However, after reading about Camp Wannalottaplat, I decided to sit down and give this one a fair shot. And I'm glad I did because I ended up enjoying it a lot. Sure the story was a mess and it only took roughly 15 hours to finish after I started but I kept coming back to it afterwards, not so much because I had to but because I wanted to. I still have DLC to finish up (especially with a second season pass releasing this next year) so I'll likely be coming back to this as soon as I finish up replaying FF7 with my wife (who fortunately has yet to be spoiled about anything in the game). #79 Awkward July 2, 2018 (12:27 AM) Ever since playing Jackbox Party Pack, my wife and I have had a huge resurgence of interest in party games. Awkward is an interesting take on the party game as the questions are specifically written to spark debate and get people upset with each other. While the early round questions are simple and usually involve questions such as "Which alcoholic drink do you prefer?" or "Do you like pineapple on your pizza?" but end up getting very personal quickly with questions such as "Have you ever had a crush on your partner's friends?" or "Do you believe disabled people have the right to have children?". It was a very interesting game and I didn't really see any duplicates (duplicate questions usually had different answers each time) but I still prefer Jackbox to it. It does have the distinction of being my first ever trophy guide though so hopefully when that gets reviewed it will help you get the platinum too! #80 Lost Grimoires: Stolen Kingdom July 6, 2018 (6:30 PM) Wow, eighty platinums! I also recently surpassed my Xbox gamerscore which is a feat I didn't think I'd accomplish (due to it being 160,000+ points). My wife and I like to play hidden puzzle games together and when I heard there were a few for PS4, I added them to the wishilst. This game was part of the mid year sale so I got it and played through it with my wife, only to find that it is an incredibly easy completion. Sure, most hidden puzzle games are very easy and quick games to complete but I enjoyed playing this with my wife, despite it being very much a cliche hidden puzzle game. However, unless you're looking for an easy platinum I recommend waiting for this one to go on sale. Still, I'll be playing the sequel here shortly with my wife. Platinums 81-90 Spoiler #81 Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 July 19, 2018 (8:17 PM) Another Lego platinum and this one was more of a challenge this time around. Not necessarily because it was hard but more because it was long and tedious. You can tell they really tried to mix things up this time around with things like challenges and different boss mechanics but it just ended up making it feel more drawn out. I started this one when it came out but kind of put it on the backburner until the DLC was finished. Still, there's a ton of cool superheroes in this one and they returned to having a big overworld instead of tons of little ones so I appreciate that. But searching for hours to look for the one missing Kang surveillance droid or flying around the old west looking for a single poster I was missing wasn't very fun nor was fighting wave after wave of enemies for quests or to make the boss vulnerable again. #82 Lego The Incredibles July 29, 2018 (11:20 PM) After playing Lego Marvel 2, I was starting to get burnt out on the franchise again and almost didn't try this one out despite my wife being a huge Pixar fan. Thankfully I did as I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It may be because TT Fusion's games are much more direct and fast paced but I feel this one was better off for it and the unlockable Pixar characters were a cool touch. Definitely one of the more fun Lego games I've played recently. #83 Jak II (PS4) August 3, 2018 (2:15 PM) As disheartened as I was back in the day for this to be so different to the Precursor Legacy, it was pretty fun. However, with this platinum, I had heard they had uncovered a debug mode and I tested it out and easily got the platinum trophy. Not exactly a platinum I'm proud of and I'll definitely be going back to play through it legit (the Vita version). #84 A Way Out August 20, 2018 (9:57 PM) Despite being such a short game, my wife and I absolutely loved it. We managed to start it and power through it non stop until the finale and it was an awesome game that we both thoroughly enjoyed. The co-op aspect is fun and unique and I didn't feel like it was shoehorned in afterwards at any point and despite my wife being a newbie when it comes to games like this, she never felt like it was too confusing or difficult. Seriously, find a buddy who owns this game and have them invite you to play it. So long as they own it you can play the full game from start to finish for free. This one is also a very cool milestone as it is my wife's first ever platinum trophy (though she isn't interested in that so much as the storyline). Very fun game overall. #85 Undertale August 25, 2018 (2:12 AM) Very interesting game. Reminds me a lot of Earthbound and I really like that you can do a pacifist run (and get different endings depending on that). Papyrus is also one of my more favorite characters from this game (though the awkward Dr. Alphys was interesting too). However, the Dog Shrine was an annoying and useless sidequest and the game was way shorter than I expected. Still, there's some fun replayability here. #86 Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS4) August 25, 2018 (10:57 PM) Trifecta! I still really enjoy this game a lot and the PS4 port is my favorite of them. I was able to introduce some friends to this series with the PS4 port with Share Play too. Very fun game, definitely worth playing through three times. #87 Grim Fandango Remastered August 26, 2018 (5:31 PM) I love old adventure games and I'm especially a fan of old Lucasarts adventures (especially Monkey Island) but I never got a chance to play this one in it's prime. Still, the remastered version was a blast (though I wish the Tank control trophy wasn't there). Very funny game with an awesome story. Just be wary there are a lot of missable trophies if you're planning on playing this yourself (which I recommend). #88 Full Throttle Remastered August 28, 2018 (8:16 PM) Continuing my adventure game playthroughs recently, I started up Full Throttle, a game I never manged to play through (or really hear about until the remaster). Honestly, while it was very short, I liked it quite a bit. The story was a lot of fun and the action system was unique. I'll likely be playing through Day of the Tentacle next (when I take a break from Sims). #89 Adam's Venture: Origins August 29, 2018 (7:55 PM) When I initially purchased this game, I thought it was a prequel to the PS3 Adam's Venture. Instead, it ended up being the same game just restructured around and with action scenes replacing a lot of the puzzles. While I did enjoy this version a lot more than the PS3 one, I still dislike the one dimensional characters and Adam Venture himself. If you're looking for a fun adventure, I recommend Tomb Raider or Uncharted 4 instead. #90 Day of the Tentacle Remastered September 1, 2018 (7:56 PM) What a fantastic game. I used to absolutely love Maniac Mansion and I only briefly got to play Day of the Tentacle back in the day. It was a blast to play through this game, it's humorous, it's got time travel and the wacky Maniac Mansion humor and, as a huge bonus, you can play the full version of the original Maniac Mansion as well (though the controller doesn't suit it well). Definitely a great remaster and a great game overall highly recommended. Platinums 91-100 Spoiler #91 Deponia September 2, 2018 (12:54 AM) I had played through this before on PC but it was just as fun and hilarious the second time through on console. Even though Rufus is a jerk and somewhat annoying, the various interactions are very funny and I really liked how they adapted the control system to PS4. The ending still sucks though. It's relatively cheap I recommend picking it up if you like adventure games, especially modern realizations of them. #92 Chaos on Deponia September 2, 2018 (5:18 PM) The second game carries on right after the first game and is just as funny as the first in my opinion. The trophies were a little more varied and difficult and tie in well with the overall humor. I really hope that Goodbye Deponia gets a PS4 release so we can get the full trilogy. After playing the first two it makes me want to see how it ends (though I could just hop on my steam account, I'd rather finish them on the PS4 so my wife can see the conclusion too). #93 Lost Grimoires 2: Shard of Mystery September 5, 2018 (1:25 PM) This one is another one of those hidden object games and to be honest I wasn't really paying attention to the story much. It was pretty fun but it seems like most of the hidden object games are very samey. #94 My Name is Mayo (PS4) September 6, 2018 (2:37 PM) Yeah...like I said I was trying to get a bunch of easy plats so I could focus on Diablo with my extra time. This "game", while having a couple of funny bits, is definitely just bait for trophy hunters. #95 My Name is Mayo (Vita) September 6, 2018 (8:31 PM) The Vita version is a lot more annoying as you can't use the touch screen for some reason. My arm still hurts from this one. #96 Nubla September 6, 2018 (10:22 PM) Kind of a cool concept game! Very artsy, nice music. Unfortunately, it's extremely short and very easy to beat (hence the nearly 90% platinum rate). Ultimately, they should have waited and released the other parts of the game into this one. Still, I wanted a fast platinum and this one definitely achieved, taking roughly a half hour. #97 Orc Slayer September 7, 2018 (10:15 PM) This game sure lives up to it's name. All you do is shoot Orcs over and over until you beat all 13 levels and what a boring ride this one was. Still, if you want an easy 3 hour platinum (with only a couple of missables), it's cheap. Still wouldn't really recommend it though. #98 World of Nubla September 8, 2018 (4:06 PM) So you'd expect two different games with two different prices to be two separate games right? Nope. This is the exact same game as Nubla but with a demo for Nubla 2. Still, it's an easy stack. #99 Jazzpunk September 8, 2018 (5:55 PM) Finally one platinum away from triple digits! And what a weird game to bring us in to the 99 spot! This game was quirky in a good way and I had a blast playing this game, even if it was extremely short. Kissing bums, diving onto concrete and various other wacky things made this one pretty memorable. I hope they make a sequel! #100 Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls September 15, 2018 (6:51 PM) Unfortunately, due to the hidden trophies glitch on PSN, you won't see this on my profile (hence the imgur proof link taken from my wife's account). However, Diablo 3 holds a special significance to my wife and I. When we first got to know each other, she mentioned that she was a big fan of Diablo 3. I owned the game but didn't get much further than Act 1 and so every night, we'd hop online together and play through Diablo while getting to know each other. Essentially, this game was the catalyst that caused us to bond and fall in love with each other. So when the issue of what my 100th platinum would be, one with some sort of significance or difficulty, this one came to mind. I still have a few Necromancer trophies to get but no doubt my wife and I will be playing this together for quite a while longer. Platinums 101-110 Spoiler #101 Blackwood Crossing September 16, 2018 (2:31 PM) At first, this game really confused me. The story was jumping around a lot and with all the superpowers, I wasn't really sure what was going on. Of course, as the story unfolded, I began to understand and it was a tragic and beautiful game overall. It was pretty easy and there wasn't a whole lot of gameplay but it was an interesting game. #102 The Sims 4 September 19, 2018 (11:04 PM) This will definitely show up as my #100 on PSNProfiles unless the hidden trophy glitch fixes itself and unhides my two hidden platinums. I chose this one though because Sims has had a big impact on my life from the moment I first played Sims 1 back in 2000. It was fun, therapeutic and addictive as all hell. It was the only game every single person in my household was addicted to at the same time, even my mom who would stay up until 2 AM to keep her sims happy. My personal favorite will always be Sims 2 just for the sheer amount of content and cool features they added to that game. After playing Sims 4 for quite a large amount of time, I really dig a lot of what this game has going for it but I can't help but feel underwhelmed. So much of this game is locked behind a paywall and it honestly feels like a step back. I do really enjoy the new aspiration system as well as multitasking and the game does have a lot going for it if you pick up the expansion packs but it still feels like something's missing. Either way, it's still a fun game (though it's one heck of a time consuming plat) and I enjoyed going for the platinum on this one. I'll definitely be playing this one a lot more in the future. #103 Spyro the Dragon November 22, 2018 (10:36 PM) Truth be told, this is the fourth time I've gotten 120% since the game came out on the 14th and the fourth time I've essentially platinumed the game. I completed it twice on Xbox One and twice on PS4 (mainly because my preordered PS4 copy was briefly lost before being delivered nearly a week later so I rebought it on Xbox). I do love this game a lot though. Even the fourth time through, I was having a blast. It's incredibly easy though and I'm very ready to move onto Ripto's Rage but I thoroughly enjoyed this remake. #104 Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage December 7, 2018 (1:56 AM) This game was one of my favorite games on the PS1 and one of my favorites in general. It's also very likely my favorite Spyro game. I had a blast replaying this game and though I still have to go back and get a couple skill points, this one is pretty much complete. #105 Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon December 15, 2018 (2:47 AM) Surprisingly enough, this was the first time I really played Spyro 3. I got it on PSn when it first came out but didn't get very far and it's a shame cause this game was an absolute blast to play through. It feels like a mix between both previous Spyro games and the worlds were really fun to explore. Definitely a game I wish I played earlier. Hopefully now that these three are out they'll re-release some of the other Spyro games or make a new one. #106 South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS4) December 18, 2018 (4:23 PM) I really enjoyed this game on PS3 and ended up getting it for free when preordering Fractured But Whole. However, though I dabbled a couple times with replaying it, I never got very far. This time, however, my wife and I have been rewatching the series so I felt like playing it again. This game is so offensive and crazy but a great game overall irregardless. #107 Castlevania Requiem January 2, 2019 (6:24 PM) This was actually my first time beating Rondo of Blood since purchasing it after the Wii Shop right before the Wiipocalypse and the first time I've ever played Symphony of the Night. And wow what a blast these two games were. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Rondo of Blood definitely kicked my butt on a few of the later stages but after some getting used to I ended up really enjoying it. But Symphony of the Night was definitely my favorite of the bunch and I absolutely loved playing it, even though I'm really kicking myself for waiting so long to try it. I actually really enjoyed Simon's Quest on the NES, despite it being cryptic, and this game felt like a bigger, more fleshed out and well balanced version of that game. The game never felt cheap (unlike Haunted Castle) and I loved the extra RPG elements the game introduced, such as variable equipment and leveling. This one is definitely one I'll be replaying again and again in the future. #108 That's You! January 5, 2019 (2:37 PM) When I got this for free I was kind of skeptical but ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Most of the fun of this game for me and my family was using the camera filters to make really weird faces and poses, though near the end of the platinum run my family began to grow bored with the gameplay. To be fair, it mostly is just testing how well you know your friends and family though the ability to create your own questions is awesome and made playing the game less monotonous near the end. Still, this game is always on sale for $5 or less and it's a blast (you can even play offline, unlike Jackbox). Just be forewarned that you'll need 6 actual phones or players to get all the trophies if you're going for this yourself. #109 Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 3 January 13, 2019 (4:09 PM) So I started this one after binge playing the second game and at first I really enjoyed the game. It was pretty much more of the same but it had an interesting storyline (going to another dimension to witness the start of the nations and relive 90s console games) and cool challenges that you could do to up your stats. However, near the middle of the game, it honestly felt like the entirety of the plot was watching Plutia and Neptune laze around while everyone else built up their nations. Still, I enjoyed it and I'll probably be playing some of the spin offs and VII soon. #110 Goodbye Deponia February 14, 2019 (3:02 PM) I really enjoyed the first two Deponia games and naturally, I was very happy when the final part of the trilogy was announced to make its way to consoles (as well as the spin off game coming out later this month.) While I enjoyed playing this one, there were a few things that bothered me about it. Namely the leper colony section which if you've played the game will likely know the things I'm referring to. And the ending is comparable to the first game. But still, it was a very enjoyable game overall and I'm really glad Daedalic released it (wasn't sure how well the first two parts did). I'm looking forward to seeing how Doomsday changes things up later this month! Platinums 111-120 Spoiler #111 Sigi: A Fart For Melusina (PS4) February 14, 2019 (4:32 PM) I gotta admit, when I first saw this game listed under the "New Trophy Lists" here, I had to scratch my head and wonder what it could possibly be. After looking it up, it turned out to be a flatulent mix of Ghost and Goblins with Mario. So, because it was cheap, I ended up picking it up just for the humor factor. It's actually a pretty solid game but WAY too short (I beat it blind in 32 minutes). And, for a game priding itself of farts so much to put it in the title, the farts weren't even that humorous. I mean, c'mon, GTA 1 & 2 had a fart button, this game screams for one but nah, only as a joke after the level. Still, despite it being infuriatingly easy and short, it was fun. Hopefully, if they do a sequel, they'll add in a lot more levels but if you're looking for a cheap, easy platinum, look no further. #112 Sigi: A Fart For Melusina (Vita) February 14, 2019 (5:35 PM) So, because the game was so cheap and it seemed fun (plus it had stacked trophy lists), I picked up the Vita version the same day I got the PS4 version. And with my newfound knowledge of the game, I managed to 100% it in 19 minutes flat. Even with the extremely poor framerate on the game. Seriously, it drops to around 5 FPS when there's lots of enemies on the screen. Ugh. Stick with the PS4 version. #113 The Walking Dead: A New Frontier February 18, 2019 (12:33 PM) My wife and I really enjoy this series. So much so that my wife bought the season pass disc for this when they first started releasing the episodes. However, at the time, I was still catching her up with the series to get to that point. After beating it roughly a year ago, the story was so overwhelming we took a break to process it. Naturally, other games came up and due to conflicting schedules and other games to play, we never quite got around to it. However, with both of us having a clear day, we fired this game up. I absolutely loved the crowdplay feature in this one! We play the games together and it was SO much easier for her to simply play with me and choose her answers instead of yelling them out and hoping I press it in time. The overall story was interesting too, even though I still enjoyed Season 2 the best so far (though Season 1 is extremely close behind). I loved the character analysis at the end and it makes me wonder just how much could have changed this time around (it seemed like small, stylistic changes this go around but it'll be interesting to revisit it with my friend and see if that's true). Looking forward to seeing how the final season wraps the story up! #114 Cat Quest February 18, 2019 (8:19 PM) Cutesy cat RPG? How could you go wrong? Well, to be completely truthful, I wasn't expecting much from this game. But boy was I glad to be wrong. This game was addictive and fun, albeit repetitive and a bit short. Lots of cat puns, exploration and equipment. I was exploring and doing side missions that I breezed through the main quest in a matter of hours without any real level grinding (though I did go back and beat all the dungeons/side quests before the final boss). Definitely a fun RPG and a very easy platinum if you're looking for a fun, quick plat. #115 Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition February 21, 2019 (11:13 PM) I originally picked up Guacamelee on PS3 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, before the final boss, I wanted to make sure I got 100% and wound up never beating it despite being SO close. When I got this game on PS Plus back in 2015, I didn't want to go through the hassle of replaying the game to get back to where I was and shelved it. But after purchasing Guacamelee 2 Complete on sale recently, I wanted to go back and re-experience the first game to see if there was anything I missed or forgot. Irregardless, this game is a very enjoyable Metroidvania style game and I loved all the little hidden cameos such as the wrestler "Hero" (dressed in a green tunic), Cabre Simulator and the like. Definitely glad I played this one again it's an awesome game worth checking out. #116 Steins;Gate Elite March 3, 2019 (4:17 PM) Steins;Gate was a complete surprise to me when I first played and it easily ranks up there with some of my all time favorite stories ever told. And this remake enhances the game tenfold! By far my favorite version of the story. The entire game is told through anime cutscenes, both ripped directly from the show and created specifically for the game and the script is based off the excellent original VN making this one a joy to replay and re-experience. Even if you're not a fan of VNs overall, I still highly recommend checking this one out simply for the awesome story (which I'm trying extremely hard not to spoil). Definitely had a blast with this one and I can't wait to start up Steins;Gate 0 soon! #117 Phoenix Wright Trilogy March 4, 2019 (12:23 AM) Phoenix Wright has remained one of my favorite game series since I first picked it up in 2006 and I've replayed the first one so many times I could probably mumble the answers in my sleep. So when I heard they were releasing soon for PS4, I had to import it (it's fully in English if your system default language is English). Replaying this collection was an absolute blast and the minor tweaks they implemented this time around were amazing. From the magnifying glass that shows you what you've already examined to the gorgeous graphics (and fixing the minor issues the previous HD collection broke) this is one I'm really glad I picked up and replayed. Here's hoping that the remaining three release on PS4 as well and it incentivizes Capcom to localize Gyakuten Kenji 2, Dai Gyakuten Saiban and Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2, but that's more of a pipe dream. #118 36 Fragments of Midnight (PS4) March 10, 2019 (7:08 PM) I originally purchased this game on Switch for a dollar and actually enjoyed the simplistic gameplay. It's pretty much a randomized platformer that resets itself every time you play with a cool nighttime setting and that's pretty fun. Of course, when I saw it was an easy platinum and cross buy with separate lists for only 3 dollars, how could I resist double dipping? It really did freak me out at first when I got all 36 shards and the game forced me to run into a trap killing me, popping both the 36 fragments and the died with 36 fragments trophies but when I replicated that on Vita later on, I realized it must be purposeful. Still, not a bad game for an easy platinum. #119 Midnight Deluxe (PS4) March 11, 2019 (12:03 PM) When I first played this, I thought it would be a bigger, more "deluxe" version of 36 Fragments of Midnight. Instead, this game is a puzzle game that requires you to fling Midnight towards the goal, avoiding obstacles or activating switches and getting rated depending on how many flings you use to get to the end. It's still an incredibly easy platinum (97% plat rate? Crazy!) but it plays more like Angry Birds that 36 Fragments of Midnight. I kind of like the prequel better to be honest but the puzzle elements were cool and the soundtrack was haunting and beautiful. Definitely a great soundtrack on this one. #120 36 Fragments of Midnight (Vita) March 11, 2019 (12:03 PM) Double platinum since it's cross buy. Still a fun game the second time around and this one helped me realize that it's not really a glitch getting the 36 fragments and die with 36 fragment trophies at the same time. Bit smoother on PS4 but still a fun game to take on the go. Platinums 121-130 Spoiler #121 Midnight Deluxe (Vita) March 11, 2019 (4:38 PM) This game I expected to control better on Vita but it actually controls a lot worse for me. The sticks on the Vita are way too loose to accurately flick Midnight with and you can use the touch screen but it was pretty confusing that the aim meter popped up where your finger is, not on Midnight making it slightly tricky to aim that way. Definitely prefer the PS4 version over this one but still another easy platinum. #122 Lego Movie 2 The Videogame March 13, 2019 (8:15 PM) This game got REALLY bad reviews but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit (then again, I enjoyed the Lego Worlds game despite the insane trophies it had). While the story mode was kinda lame, I enjoy the exploration in these games a lot. It is extremely repetitive, loot boxes suck (even though this one has guaranteed pulls) and fetch questy but weirdly therapeutic. Despite that, I enjoyed this one and admittingly, the change in the formula was kind of refreshing. #123 Resident Evil 2 March 15, 2019 (9:18 PM) The fact that this game, despite requiring so many runs and has quite a bit of difficult things to do has such a high completion rate speaks to how amazing this remake is. Truthfully, I sat down and completed it roughly 8 times in two days and STILL wanted to keep playing it, despite knowing all the answers to the puzzles and optimal routes. I loved the atmosphere, the detailed recreations of areas and especially Mr. X, who is terrifying and continued to scare me long after I memorized the enemy placements. Sure they changed a few things here and there and took a few things out (namely Extra Battle) but this is a top grade remake in my book and one I'll definitely be replaying quite a bit into the foreseeable future (also to complete the free DLC). #124 It's Quiz Time March 21, 2019 (7:36 PM) I got this last July on a flash sale as we've been loving the Jackbox and Playlink games and this one easily became our favorite for a while for one reason: Salli. The virtual host of this game makes this one a huge blast. Not only does she address each player by their actual name (or whatever you put under the pronunciation) but she's constantly making snide remarks that hit close to home. We laughed as my wife, the youngest player in the group, was constantly berated for "being too young to understand the question" or being told "The girls aren't letting you win. Honestly." when I was the only male in the group. Not only that, the questions are personalized, such as "What movie came out the year Jerry was born?". Each of the categories was a blast too and unique for a trivia game, such as one that asks you to describe everything you know about a particular subject and having your friends tick off answers as you mention them or guessing what year each particular subject came out with the closest players winning. This is truly a fun and unique game that everyone should play with a sarcastic host that keeps things fresh and interesting every single time. Beware though, the plat requires 8 unique android devices. #125 Resident Evil March 26, 2019 (9:36 PM) To be honest, this one seemed way too daunting for me at first glance. I initially replayed this one to revisit the story with my wife and introduce her to both the characters and classic style of the first one, especially since she was intrigued after seeing RE2 Remake. To be honest, doing the first knife only run on very easy with Chris strengthened those fears as I was struggling to reacquaint myself with the game and the controls (I hadn't beaten this one since 2005 and I remembered very little of it). I used the trophy guide to optimize my playthroughs but began to worry about whether or not I would have the skill required to pull it off. But every time I worried and fretted about the next run, I managed to overcome it. On the Jill Normal run, I managed to breeze through the puzzles, remembering them from fumbling around the first playthrough. The real survival was also a lot easier than I anticipated as I was pretty knowledgeable about the game and my fears were truly allayed after seeing I ran a 3:55 on it, putting to rest my worries about the speed run and the rest of the trophies. This game is truly amazing and it was a fun challenge getting the plat. Definitely a proud one I'm happy to have earned. #126 Steins;Gate 0 (PS4) March 31, 2019 (1:23 AM) I fell in love with Stein's Gate when I actually gave it a go. Needless to say, I was pumped for this one. And overall, it wasn't bad. It droned on a bit and the split in the storyline was confusing but it was a decent sequel. I don't want to spoil too much so I'll just say this. Definitely play Elite and if you liked it and want more Stein's Gate, pick this one up too. #127 Steins;Gate 0 (Vita) March 31, 2019 (2:33 AM) To be fair, I ran this one concurrently with the PS4 version and skipped most of the dialogue to get the easy plat but portable Stein's Gate 0 is pretty awesome to have. #128 One Word by Powgi (PS4) March 31, 2019 (2:00 PM) There's something therapeutic about newspaper style puzzle games. I used to play Crosswords 3DS and Sudoku on Brain Age for hours back in the day and this game feels right at home. It does make your eyes jump though with all the 'almost' spellings. True, I did skip a lot of puzzles to get the easy plat but I am in no way done with this game. I'll be enjoying this one with the wife for a while. #129 Word Sudoku by Powgi (PS4) March 31, 2019 (3:56 PM) I love Sudoku puzzles. The word Sudoku puzzles are confusing but thankfully they give you the option to change the letters to numbers. My wife and I will be enjoying solving the remaining Sudoku puzzles in this collection, even though I did go straight for the ones that had trophies on them. #130 Mixups by Powgi (PS4) March 31, 2019 (5:19 PM) This game reminds me a lot of Boggle but thankfully, you don't have to connect the letters together. You simply have to make the three words hidden out of the letters they give you. Again, easy plat but I'll be going back to this to finish the puzzles. Platinums 131-140 Spoiler #131 Minecraft (PS4) April 3, 2019 (5:16 AM) I did most of the trophies a long time ago when my wife and I were first dating and we would hop onto this every night to play but the skeleton and 100 day trophy eluded me. After trying my luck and getting the skeleton trophy recently, I decided to idle Minecraft while I slept to get the 100 day trophy. Of course, Minecraft is still fun and I have tons of dlc trophies left to unlock but I finally wrapped up the plat. Now only two more platforms to go lol. #132 Borderlands (PS3) April 20, 2019 (6:46 PM) This game is an absolute blast. I love the FPS RPG mix and the humor in this game is pretty hilarious (though I find Borderlands 2 a bit more humerous). And to be fair, I could have easily gotten this platinum years ago if I hadn't focused on getting the DLC trophies. But as I wrapped up nearly everything except the General Knoxx DLC, I decided to wrap up the platinum and knock out the co-op and other class based trophies. I've still got a few DLC trophies to get and I'll likely be doubling up on this game since the PS4 version came out but this is definitely one of my favorites and I can't wait for Borderlands 3. #133 Final Fantasy X HD April 30, 2019 (11:14 PM) Hoo boy, this platinum really drained me and unfortunately, it still suffers from the PSN hidden trophy glitch, which permanently hides previously hidden games despite me not having this game hidden (and as evidenced by the fact that it shows up on my friend's activity feed). To be honest, this is one of my all time favorite games and it was a total blast replaying it. However, I beat the game roughly 50 hours in and to give an idea of all the grinding for gil/items/spheres/levels, I finished with a playtime of 172 hours. Most of it was honestly in preparation for Dark Yojimbo, who gave me one heck of a time (I had finished all the other Dark Aeons and most of the original Monster Arena monsters by the time I actually beat him). This one is definitely one of my proudest platinum trophies and, though I'm definitely burnt out on RPGs for a while, I do want to come back to FFX-2 soon. Still an awesome game and I'm glad to be done with it. #134 Telltale's Game of Thrones (PS3) May 8, 2019 (4:32 PM) I do enjoy Game of Thrones and after excitedly tuning into the premiere of season 8, I painfully had my hopes crushed. Unfortunately, every episode this season has, in my opinion, been absolutely terrible. While looking for ways to clear up space on my PS3 to download a new game, I came across this game and I have to say the story is actually really interesting. However, I highly recommend playing it on PS4 (or Xbox One/Steam) simply because the PS3 port is absolutely terrible. The game froze at nearly every scene shift INCLUDING the QTE battle segments (sometimes for up to 5 seconds) and the textures were extremely blurry with tons of pop up. While the game is worth playing and experiencing, the PS3 version is just too poorly optimized to be worth it. Still, I enjoyed it and I'll likely be firing this back up on PS4 to double plat (and re-experience it without lag or load times). #135 Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed May 15, 2019 (9:32 PM) To be honest, I really liked Cyberdimension Neptunia so I was excited to go back to Nep U to experience a similar style of gameplay. And I did enjoy it for the most part but the grinding is out of control in this game! I beat the game easily in a couple days, however, it took me many more hours to max out the lily ranks and clear the Neptral Tower 5 times (I'd guess roughly 30 hours). Still, I do really dig this action oriented style of gameplay (musou meets Nep), though I still prefer Cyberdimension over this one. Hopefully Blanc vs Zombies is less grindy. #136 Burly Men at Sea May 16, 2019 (1:12 AM) Honestly, I started this game for the easy plat. But it was pretty interesting at first. However, it's one of those "replay over and over" games that the first couple times, you're interested but by the end you're skipping all the dialogue, new and old. The game basically is an adventure for the sake of adventuring with minor changes depending on minor choices. Going adrift in barrels will let you race against a grim reaper-esque NPC, with different outcomes depending on whether you win or lose. Skipping the barrels locks you in a battle with a jellyfish, etc. The choices were so minor and it felt so repetitive that by the time you're on your twelfth playthrough, you're extremely glad the game is only five to ten minutes long. It kind of reminds me of the game "Home" with it's extremely short, repetitive gameplay and minor choices that lead to samey outcomes. Still, if you want an easy plat, this is definitely one for you. #137 Batman (PS3) May 18, 2019 (4:31 PM) I've had this on the PS3 for a while and have been meaning to play it. After completing Game of Thrones, I was still in a "Telltale" mood and wanted to clear some space on my PS3 so I fired this one up. It's actually a really great story, very interesting. Especially considering it's an M rated Batman game filled with swears, sex and gore (crazy!). It was also really interesting playing as both Bruce and Batman, a feature which is very often ignored in Batman games and helped drive the story home. Seeing the villains before they became villains was also very cool and the detective minigame was a really cool addition. However, again, the PS3 version is extremely laggy to the point of almost unplayability. I'm glad they were more lenient on the QTEs this time around because there is no way I would have gotten them otherwise. Still, if you can get this for PS4, definitely do so. It's fantastic. #138 Wolf Among Us (PS3) May 22, 2019 (8:54 PM) This one is a stack since I already got the PS4 plat but still, this game is amazing and replaying it again makes the fact season 2 is never coming out sting that much more. However, I had a heck of a time getting this one to work since every time I started it up it would freeze. Finally, after rebuilding the file database, it fired up but still froze a few more times before I got the plat. I love the story and it's inspired me to start reading the comics. Still worth every penny though like the last two PS3 Telltale games, I recommend nabbing it on PS4 instead. #139 Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection May 23, 2019 (2:47 PM) I was extremely excited to play this game when it was announced. I love Twinbee and Castlevania and there were quite a few fun shooters on this collection (Haunted Castle being the only non shooter). However, Twinbee doesn't hold up against the newer ones and Haunted Castle is way too hard but this is still a fantastic collection, especially if you love shooter games (though keep in mind you'll have to beat Scramble at least 6 times to get the trophy). The e-book is extremely awesome as well, though I wish I could order a physical copy. Still, this game is a blast and I'm glad I picked it up (though why does this have a plat and not Castlevania? Ugh.) #140 Goosebumps The Game June 7, 2019 (4:58 PM) I haven't read Goosebumps in almost 25 years but I do remember liking them a lot so when this game was on sale, I figured it would be an interesting playthrough. I do have to say, I really love first person point and clicks like this and this one really surprised me in how much I enjoyed it. Sure, it was extremely short but most games of the genre are to be honest. Granted, the story wasn't the greatest, but I am a fan of the puzzle oriented, exploration heavy point and click games like this one. Definitely recommend it. Platinums 141-150 Spoiler #141 Counter Strike: Global Offensive June 12, 2019 (9:56 PM) To be honest, I had a hankering to play some Counter Strike and decided to download this one. It really threw me for a loop too when I saw the trophies were completely different from the Xbox achievements and were much easier this go around (no more God of War achievement!). However, it wasn't until I played a few rounds that I realized the servers were offline. Still, this game is a blast even offline with bots. And for those wondering, yes, the plat is still achievable despite having a few difficult ones (like Bunny Hunt or Make the Cut). If you're looking for the full experience, definitely grab it on PC but if you want to play offline with some bots and get a rather easy plat, this is a great game to do so. I just wish it had split screen to make up for the lack of online. #142 Toy Story Mania June 14, 2019 (4:07 PM) I had originally purchased this game for the Xbox 360 back in the day after enjoying Toy Story 3 a lot. This one is based on the Disneyland attraction (to an extent) and is kind of a shooter where you pile up the points. It's another extremely easy completion but it's extremely repetitive too. Each of the worlds has several different attractions but many of them feel way too similar. There are a few interesting trophies but it's not worth more than a rental or playing on PS Now. #143 Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry June 19, 2019 (9:48 PM) According to several tracking sites, despite not attempting it, I was the first person to complete this, which is awesome but I'll wait and see (I'm sure someone else will update and be first). Still, the plat was at 0% earlier today making me worried that it was impossible to plat so maybe. I was very pleasantly surprised with this game. It had a lot of the humor that the original had that newer entries were lacking and I found myself laughing at a lot of things that happened in this game. For example, "It was dark and I was drunk!" being an option for many different things or some of the ridiculous things Larry would get into. While it is quite a bit more provocative than earlier games in the series, I really enjoyed it (and it has a very easy trophy list). Wait for it to go on sale first though as $40 is a bit high for a six hour point and click game. #144 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered June 22, 2019 (7:23 PM) This was such a beautiful remaster and I really enjoyed revisiting the game. Originally, I was simply trying to get the two multiplayer trophies on Uncharted 2/3 so I could get the plat later (the DLC trophies aren't going to happen because the online is too dead). However, that made me want to revisit the series so I started playing this one. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to blow through Crushing, since I had such a tough time previously with it though I think I still remembered the skills I picked up previously going through the game. Still, I never thought I'd beat Brutal. Even with infinite ammo and one hit kills, Brutal annihilated me. One wrong peek and you're gone. Still, this game was a blast. #145 Atelier Ayesha: Alchemist of Dusk (PS3) July 17, 2019 (11:42 PM) I've dipped my toes in the Atelier series before and really enjoyed it (though it was overwhelming sometimes) but never sat down and gave it a fair chance. The post office also tried unsuccessfully to stop me from enjoying this series by not delivering my package containing the Dusk and Arland trilogy games despite being out for delivery and telling me it was misdelivered to a neighbor (but no idea where since it wasn't scanned delivered). Thankfully, they found it hidden in the back of the truck and delivered it the next day and I was immediately hooked to this game. It is repetitive but I truly enjoyed exploring, making items and finding events to make buddies. It's a really refreshing RPG and though I was stressing a bit about time but in the end I had almost a full year left over to do other stuff and I was honestly disappointed when it did end. Very fun game and I am very much looking forward to Escha & Logy. #146 Word Search by POWGI (PS4) August 1, 2019 (8:30 PM) This game is great for picking up with friends and completing a few word searches as it allows for up to four buddies to couch co-op word searches and it was a blast doing so with my family. I would pop on some music and we'd all enjoy kicking back on the couch, jamming out and finding words. Unfortunately, about halfway through the puzzle list, my wife got a migraine and for some odd reason, she continued to get migraines each time we fired it up so we ended up wrapping up without her. Still aren't sure why, which sucks. Despite that, the game was a blast and I enjoyed having several Word Search parties over the course of getting the platinum. Definitely an awesome game especially with buddies. Gotta wrap up the Vita version too but that won't be for a while. #147 Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart August 2, 2019 (2:50 PM) My wife and I love playing hidden object games together and when I found out there were a few on PS4, I added them to the wishlist and picked them up on sale sometime later. We had managed to start this one roughly last year but stopped for unknown reasons. However, my wife and I had some time together so we booted this one up and finished the game, after which I did a second run to get the remainder of the trophies. It's a pretty generic hidden object game with a slight twist: you can actually solve Mahjong puzzles instead of finding objects. However, because of this, you have to do at least two runs. Still, the game was pretty fun overall and I'm looking forward to playing the next two. #148 Until Dawn August 3, 2019 (11:53 PM) Man, this game was an awesome score from the bargain bin! Picked this one up roughly three years ago at Best Buy for really cheap thinking it would be a fun one to play with the wife. We took it home and we had a blast with the game. The graphics are gorgeous and the concept is really awesome. Yeah, the beginning is slow but the whole concept of it being like a horror/slasher movie where all of your choices matter and control who survives the night is really awesome. It reminds me of a more fleshed out Telltale game mixed with Resident Evil. We had shelved it mainly due to conflicting schedules between us but after finishing Nightmares from the Deep, my wife suggested we dig this game out and finish it too (we were actually a very short time away from finishing). This game is highly recommended and I really enjoyed my time with it. I really hope they make another, non VR sequel to this game. #149 Deponia Doomsday August 6, 2019 (2:50 PM) I bought this game on release day eagerly anticipating it after playing Goodbye Deponia but became intimidated by the "1001 Jackalopes" trophy. However, I recently had the urge to fire it up. I felt this one was pretty unnecessary in the grand scheme, even if it was a pretty fun time travel game. One thing I found funny was the themes within the game. Most of the game could pass as appropriate for all ages with silly, corny jokes and slapstick humor. Then every so often they'll throw major adult themes at you, such as a female flashing a guard to get past, having a character use strong expletives in frustration or a showering man holding a shower brush near his crotch to give the wrong impression. It was something I had forgotten about since playing Goodbye Deponia and caused me to double take every so often. However, the trophies gave me way more trouble than I expected. The Jackalope trophy took me roughly 4 hours (mainly because I was doing other stuff at the same time) but I had lots of trouble with the "kill all party members" trophy and the "take all possible photos" trophy. With the former, the enemy constantly targeted Rufus, killing him first and it took me nearly an hour to get them to kill off the other members, only to die before I could finish off the enemy, though I eventually got it a short while after. The latter glitched on me and would not give me the arm photo no matter how many times I tried. I even went back to an earlier save and replayed up to that point but no dice. Finally said "screw it, I'll come back" and it popped. All in all, I still enjoyed this game a lot. Hopefully they'll bring more Daedalic games to consoles. #150 Hidden Agenda August 9, 2019 (5:59 PM) To be honest, when they announced the first four Playlink games, this was the one I was most excited for. My wife and I really enjoyed Until Dawn so a pseudo follow-up where we could influence the story together was an awesome idea. Truthfully, this game rocks and was a blast to play with friends and family. It's mutable enough that your choices really feel like they matter in the long scheme of things and it's replayable enough to constantly try different things to try and solve the mystery. While it isn't as quick and pick up and play as That's You or Knowledge is Power, it's a game that's enjoyable for hardcore gamers and casual gamers alike. Because of this though the trophy list is pretty crazy and requires many runs to get all of the different outcomes necessary for the trophies but still, I felt it was worth it, especially for the roughly $10 this game goes for nowadays. Definitely a great game that deserves a lot more recognition. Platinums 151-160 Spoiler #151 Jack N Jill DX (PS4) August 9, 2019 (6:26 PM) This one seemed cool, like a Game Boy-esque platformer for PS4. Of course, being one of the easiest trophy lists ever doesn't hurt. It's actually a really cool mix of auto runner and platformer, kind of like Bit.Trip Runner, but it uses a single button to jump. In a way, it reminds me a lot of Super Mario Run with a Game Boy flair and even though it's a 10 minute platinum, I actually enjoy this game a lot and will likely continue playing it. Not bad for a $5 game. #152 Jack N Jill DX (Vita) August 9, 2019 (7:33 PM) The game is cross buy with Vita so being such an easy platinum, I downloaded it and quickly got the stack. However, this game definitely felt better on Vita. I'm not sure why but I enjoyed it a lot more on Vita so I'll likely leave it installed and keep playing it on there. #153 Crossovers by POWGI (PS4) August 11, 2019 (3:08 PM) I really enjoy the POWGI games and this one is no exception! It looked like crosswords but instead you're figuring out letters to solve potential crosswords then using those letters to solve anagrams. It's really fun! This game also has the honor of being my first ever published trophy guide! You can check it out HERE . It is an extremely easy platinum but definitely a fun game, even if you disregard the ease of the platinum. Highly recommended! #154 Word Wheel by POWGI (PS4) August 18, 2019 (5:03 PM) Another POWGI game down! This one is probably my favorite as it's essentially untimed Boggle with a catch: you have to use the center letter every time. This one is probably the easiest of the POWGI platinums as you only really have to find 500 words and each of the 9 letter words to plat, but I keep coming back to this one to finish off the word lists and play with the wife and family. Definitely a great game and hopefully I will have a trophy guide for this one out soon. #155 Harvey's New Eyes August 20, 2019 (9:53 PM) I really enjoy Daedalic software point and clicks. However, I've begun to notice that they often have dark humor and even hugely insensitive jokes. This one is no different. While I enjoyed the game for the most part, killing nearly everyone you come into contact with was just too over the top for my liking. However, the game was still really enjoyable (though the story was weird) and it was fun. Hopefully the other Daedalic games make it to PS4 as well cause I do enjoy their games a lot. #156 Wordsweeper by POWGI (PS4) August 21, 2019 (10:47 AM) This one wraps up my seven POWGI PS4 platinums (though one more is coming out soon)! This one has you figuring out words based on the letters nearby, kind of like minesweeper but with crosswords. This one was actually very difficult at first but the concept was a lot of fun and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The challenge was also really fun and refreshing and it's a highly recommended game if you want to try a unique word game. I also managed to write out a guide for this one too, so if you want, check it out and hopefully it helps you get the platinum! #157 The Little Acre August 21, 2019 (7:05 PM) This was a beautiful and fun, albeit short, game! I got this back near Platinum #100 as an easy plat so I could focus on Diablo 3 but decided against it after seeing the speedrun trophy. However, after Deponia Doomsday and Harvey's New Eyes, I was in a point and click mood and fired this up. This game was gorgeous and the art style reminded me a ton of the first Broken Sword. The story was way too short for my liking though and was over before I could really grasp the entirety of what had happened. However, I still really enjoyed my time with it and it is worth playing. Plus it's roughly an hour long plat so if you're looking for an easy plat with great gameplay, this one comes recommended. #158 Word Wheel by POWGI (Vita) August 21, 2019 (10:33 PM) I actually had a bit of problems with this port. The "find a bonus word" didn't unlock for me right away and I had to use airplane mode for it to unlock properly. But afterwards, I managed to easily plat this one. Definitely a fun game but I prefer playing this on PS4. #159 One Word by POWGI (Vita) August 24, 2019 (3:43 PM) We had a power outage for a little while and so I decided to fire up the old Vita and play some POWGI games! This one is still pretty fun and I like the touch screen controls on it. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of word games but it is missing multiplayer unfortunately. Though I will say this game does mess with your eyes after completing it. Still, a fun game and a great port. #160 The Walking Dead: The Final Season (Digital) August 30, 2019 (6:23 PM) I happened to pick up the first two seasons of Walking Dead on a Steam sale way back in 2014 when the second season wrapped up production, even though I didn't have much interest in TWD prior. However, it left a huge lasting impression on me and I fell in love with the series. I introduced my wife to the series back in 2016/2017 and though she wasn't interested at first, she quickly fell in love with it too. After that, we ended up playing all sorts of Telltale games together though TWD remained our favorite to play together. So it's pretty crazy to think that the story and characters we've come to love are all wrapped up. The final season was pretty interesting, though it took me a minute to get invested in it, and I love the quality of life upgrades they made to it. Exploration, collectables, more varied gameplay and the comic style graphics are all awesome and the plot twists were interesting, especially since I had written the game off as predictable near the end. I do still have some questions about the story but it did wrap up nicely. The trophies, however, were a pain as I essentially had to go back and replay the game twice (with part of a third) due to all the missables and trophies for differing choices. Still, I enjoyed this game and I'm sad to see the series go. Platinums 161-170 Spoiler #161 Back to the Future (PS4) September 12, 2019 (5:43 PM) I preordered the PS3 version way back in 2010 when it first came out but didn't wrap it up till a few years later. Then this version came out and I played it with my wife back in 2016 but didn't finish it till 2019. What can I say, it's a fantastic game and the 30th anniversary is even better with the addition of Tom Wilson! There's a few glitches here and there but this feels as close to BTTF4 as we'll ever get. Definitely a great game especially if you're a huge BTTF fan like me. #162 Yakuza Kiwami September 13, 2019 (7:13 PM) This is one platinum I thought at various times I would never get. At first, the Mahjong completion requirements worried me but I managed to get past those. Next was the Haruka Requests but I managed to get through them without too much trouble. Then the Climax Battles, which I thought I'd NEVER finish due to how annoyingly difficult they were. Then Legend, which I thought would be a nightmare but ended up breezing through with no problems (aside from a half hour in Chapter 9). Despite all this, I LOVED this game. It's addicting, it has a touching story (if only a bit over the top at times) and enough side content to keep anyone busy and happy. This is one of those platinums I will proudly display and hopefully pick up a few more but this game comes highly recommended, even if the platinum is a tough one. #163 Where the Bees Make Honey October 18, 2019 (4:01 PM) The idea behind this one seemed really cool but the game itself was pretty meh. The game is supposed to invigorate feelings of nostalgia and childhood but really the story just came off more pretentious and forced than anything. Honestly, my next platinum brought back more of that feeling than this game did. Plus the controls were really awkward. But the Captain Toad esque levels were pretty fun. Easy platinum but pretty much forgettable. #164 A Winter's Daydream (PS4) October 19, 2019 (5:42 PM) I bought this one simply because the web page intrigued me and the synopsis caught my eye. It was only after playing that I realized just how simple this list is. By far, one of the easiest trophy lists ever, mainly because there is no gameplay. Instead, you read the text, press the button when done and continue until the end two hours later. But the thing is, the story of this game is really good and hits you right in the feels. I don't want to spoil too much but it does have a lot to do with family. Definitely highly recommended that you read the game at some point (or if you want an easy platinum) as I enjoyed it quite a bit. #165 Little Adventure on the Prarie October 19, 2019 (6:10 PM) Oh man, this game was so terrible. I don't often say games have very little redeeming qualities but this game does not have any redeeming qualities. It's simply "walk right, attack enemies, pick up boosters, attack enemies, win" over and over. In fact, in later stages, you have to pretty much glitch the game by jumping on the enemies' heads or you'll die. No real way to do it legit either. Very easy platinum but not recommended at all. #166 A Winter's Daydream (Vita) October 19, 2019 (9:06 PM) I loved the game and I was surprised it wasn't cross buy. Still, it was good enough that I decided to get the Vita version (and get another easy plat). #167 Assassin's Creed Revelations (PS4) November 15, 2019 (3:53 PM) I really enjoyed this game as well but I kind of got burnt out on the series for a while. I'd start this game up, make slight progress, get frustrated at an optional bonus objective and stop playing (stupid save the rioters quest!). I honestly thought after getting 100% on the main story the hard part was behind me but the Lost Archive DLC trophy for completing the level without messing up was so frustrating because something random would knock me back every time. A five minute exercise took me 10 hours to complete and I nearly ripped my hair out. Still, it was unique and interesting. AC3 is up next! #168 Late Shift November 18, 2019 (4:45 PM) This game really surprised me in a good way. I had heard decent things about it but I remember how terrible FMV games were back in the 90s. Still, they managed to pull it off really well. Sure, the gameplay is somewhat simplistic but the overarching story is unique and the engine is built in such a way that you don't notice you're playing several different movie clips. Very well done and highly recommended if you enjoy story rich games. #169 Tales from the Borderlands (Digital) December 3, 2019 (6:39 PM) I heard great things about this series and I really enjoyed it in the end. I love Borderlands so having a Telltale version with a great story was awesome. I don't want to spoil too much but the game took a few interesting turns along the way. I have the physical version of this too so eventually I'll get the double plat but I've got plenty of other Telltale games to complete first. #170 Lego DC Super Villains December 5, 2019 (4:16 PM) At first I didn't really like this game. To me, it felt really samey and since it was the fourth DC Lego game, it kind of dragged on slowly. But once I got through most of the story, I started finding myself getting really interested in the game and I binged it until I completed it. It ended up being a really fun game and I'm finally caught up on PS4 Lego games. Now I gotta fire up the Vita and PS3 to complete those. Platinums 171-180 Spoiler #171 Little Adventure on the Prarie (Vita) December 6, 2019 (10:08 AM) Still an absolutely terrible game. Still a super easy platinum. #172 The Bunker December 6, 2019 (12:56 PM) Another FMV game from the same team as Late Shift. This one was really interesting and made me kind of want to play Fallout. It's about a guy living on his own in a nuclear fallout shelter. It's still more of an interactive movie but it had a bit more gameplay this time than Late Shift. Still, great story and fun game. Worth checking out. #173 Fifty Words by POWGI (PS4) December 10, 2019 (10:31 PM) Another interesting POWGI game. This time, you find fifty words jumbled into a Word Search without any redundant or useless letters. I will have a guide out for it hopefully soon. I just have to finish writing parts of it and it'll hopefully pass review. #174 Dragon Ball Z Budokai Collection January 16, 2020 (12:55 AM) My first platinum of the new decade! My wife and I wrapped up watching DBZ and the movies and my thoughts returned to this game and how much fun I had with it. I expected to have a lot more to go but I managed to wrap it up in a few days. This is still a great collection of games with DBZ Budokai 1 being a great story retelling and 3 being great for the super moves. However, I still hate Dragon Rushes with a passion. Still, it's worth playing with your buddies especially if you want to destroy them in an epic way. Great collection though I still wish Budokai 2 was on here. Now where's the Budokai Tenkaichi HD collection? #175 Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (PS4) January 29, 2020 (10:05 PM) This was such an enjoyable port of Borderlands 1 with lots of cool features added in like the mini map and picking up ammo/money automatically or even customizing your characters. While I started this one with the wife, she kind of lost interest in it so after wrapping up the PS3 version (after years of playing it) I imported my character and thankfully, popped most of the annoying trophies (Mad Moxxi should have been autopop too though). I still really enjoy this game but after playing this game so much, I think I'm ready to move onto Borderlands 2 and leave Borderlands 1 behind. Still a great game though. #176 Tic Tac Letters by POWGI (PS4) February 6, 2020 (2:54 PM) Another POWGI game! This one was interesting as it wasn't so much a word game but almost like tic tac sudoku where you can't let any letters line up more than twice (though diagonally is still OK). Unique game and I'll probably be writing a guide for it no doubt but I really hope these POWGI games keep coming out. #177 Gem Smashers (PS4) February 7, 2020 (5:13 PM) When I saw this, I immediately thought it was going to be a match 3 Bejeweled/Candy Crush style game. What I got was an interesting game where you fling yourself at blocks and can only destroy them if you're the same color. This one is pretty fun at first but it does grow tiresome quickly, especially when you have to redo worlds with separate characters. Somehow, it also didn't credit me with completing a boss on one of the worlds so I spent an extra hour or two trying to complete extra worlds to get the last trophy to no avail until I realized my mistake. Still, it wasn't bad for a game I got from PS Now (i'm glad it was just a subscription cost and I didn't buy this) and it was an easy completion. #178 Skyscrappers February 8, 2020 (4:36 PM) This was another easy completion from PS Now and unfortunately, this one was very boring. While the platinum was very quick and relatively painless, it was a monotonous one. The concept was somewhat cool, allowing you to ninja your way up debris to the top of a crumbling tower to win instantly or beat each other to a victory but it grew old after a few levels (and you have to complete 28 levels in a row for the plat). Still, another PS Now game I didn't buy and a relatively painless platinum. #179 Clockwork Tales of Glass and Ink February 9, 2020 (3:40 PM) I really enjoy hidden object style games. Yes they're a dime a dozen but they're great and I enjoy playing them with the wife. This one was a relatively easy platinum as well so win win all around. #180 Doom (1993) March 21, 2020 (5:43 PM) When this came out for 5 dollars, I bought it immediately. And while initially it was a bad port, they've improved it significantly and it's become one of the better console Doom ports. But as far as trophies go, this was near the top on the list of "Games I'll try and never complete" mainly due to the "Complete the game on Nightmare in co-op" trophy. I barely completed the game on Ultra Violence for the 360 port so I thought, even with the added bonuses of not having to restart the level in co-op, I would never be able to do it. But after some speedrun practice and reattempting levels over and over, I managed to do it and I'm extremely surprised. Definitely a proud platinum and I may try to get Doom 2's, though from what I've played that game is on another level. Still, awesome game and a crazy platinum. Platinums 181-190 Spoiler #181 Resident Evil 0 April 4, 2020 (3:36 PM) When I first got this game on the Gamecube back in 2004, I loved it. I honestly enjoyed it a ton (though I never did beat it) but when I played REmake and RE4, I left it to the wayside. After thoroughly enjoying REmake 1 & 2 last year, I decided to go backwards. Honestly, at first, I wasn't enjoying the game like I did when I first played it but after beating the game, going through Leech Hunter and learning the game a bit better, I began to enjoy it a lot more. It's a great game but the item management is what gets me. Having to swap between characters or leave items scattered throughout the map was uncomfortable (I'm a bit OCD when it comes to organization) but when I didn't have to worry about picking up ammo anymore, I started to really enjoy this game. But Hard Mode is really trying at times to be honest, especially since you can't carry over your bonus unlocks into a different difficulty (unlike Remake) so you have to start from scratch. I nearly tore my hair out at the bat fight but thankfully I prevailed and finally can add this one to my list of RE platinums. RE3, you won't be far behind! #182 Resident Evil 3 April 5, 2020 (7:37 PM) I was super excited for this remake and it really didn't disappoint (aside from being a little too short for my opinion). Irregardless, it was an awesome experience. I know people are mad at the cut content but I still enjoyed what was here. The intro was intense, Nemesis was awesome, Jill was powerful in a human way and it still retained the RE2 gameplay I love so much. It took me about 8-9 playthroughs to platinum this but once you know the game pretty well, you can beat it in around an hour. The trophies weren't too bad this time around with Inferno being the only pesky one (until you can get to an item box to get your coins and rocket launcher). Still, great experience despite being so short and I really recommend it if you enjoyed RE2's remake or are a fan of RE in general. #183 Resident Evil: Code Veronica X (PS4) April 21, 2020 (4:25 PM) This was such a roller coaster of a platinum for me. I first started playing this and had difficulty getting used to the controls. The story was pretty cool (though really wacky and cheesy at parts) and playing as Claire and Chris was really cool. Once I beat it, I grew worried though I would not be able to get the platinum. I tried Battle Game and was relieved by the infinite ammo weapons, as I worried that you'd have to find resources to kill all the enemies. Then, after coming in almost double the time limit for rank A, I began to think I didn't have the skill set to beat these. However, after some persistence, I managed to beat them one by one, learning the layout (as it doesn't change) and grew hopeful again (until I managed to nearly clear Wesker's but died three rooms from completion and couldn't get that far again in 10 attempts). But once I conquered Battle Game, I took notes on speedruns to see where I could improve and worried about how close I was cutting it. That is, until I hit the mid save after forgetting where the grenade launcher was for 20 minutes and still coming in at a time of 1:50:00. The final roller coaster came after I very nearly beat the speedrun on my third try but accidentally unequipped my gun on the final boss and got killed, ruining my A rank. But a couple of tries later and I had my rocket launcher! Honestly, I thought this was in the air whether I would ever platinum this but the game isn't difficult as long as you practice and learn it. But I'm proud to finally get it and add it to my growing collection of Resident Evil platinums! #184 Adventures of Mana April 30, 2020 (9:42 PM) I absolutely love Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy and this was a hugely faithful remake to it. It was beautiful and fun replaying it, but almost felt TOO faithful. The game was well done but it felt really short. In fact, most of my play time was grinding against monsters to get to 99. I also had to reload an older save file after I accidentally trapped myself in a corridor between two locked doors with no keys and no way to get them (which was a flaw from FFA that never got fixed in this remake). Still, this game was loads of fun and I still enjoy the tragic storyline and the action gameplay. The music is extremely nostalgic too and the new Rising Sun track is so peaceful. I love that they had the toggle for remade music and original. I really do hope that they bring this game to PS4/Switch so Playstation can have all three Mana remakes (and Switch can have more than one). Plus, I know it's very low chances, but I do hope one day Sword of Mana makes its way to PS in some way shape or form as I really enjoyed that remake too. Still, great game even if it was short and slightly dated. Can't wait to play Secret of Mana soon! #185 Lego The Hobbit (PS3) May 3, 2020 (1:09 PM) When I was completing my PS3 Lego collection, I managed to nab this from a Lego lot with a couple others I was missing. My wife recently read The Hobbit and all three Lord of the Rings books so after watching the movies, we decided to hop on here and play through this game. I had already finished the PS4 and Xbox One versions in the past, but this game was still a lot of fun and playing it with my wife made it even better. Near the end, she did start to grow bored of the fetch quests so I mopped up the remaining quests (which wasn't much). Hopefully she enjoyed it enough to play through Lego LOTR (which is one I still need to check off for the series completion). I would recommend getting it for PS4 if you can help it though because the PS3 version froze several times on us while playing (almost consistently when I would check my trophies). Still, great game and really sad the last movie never got the Lego treatment. #186 Jigsaw Zen May 19, 2020 (5:34 PM) One thing the wife and I started enjoying and really getting into during this quarantine was doing Jigsaw puzzles together. As we began to wrap up our available Jigsaw puzzles, I was curious to see if they had any Jigsaw games on PS4 (I was a big fan of Puzzle Arcade for the 360). Sure enough, there were quite a few and we ended up playing this one first and it really shocked me that it had a platinum (and an easy one at that). The game itself is OK, we much prefer the traditional style of puzzles and not having a couple pieces that slot into place but the game was fun irregardless. Plus it made for an easy plat! #187 Jigsaw Abudance May 19, 2020 (7:14 PM) We ended up getting quite a few games because they were cheap and this was one of them. And honestly, this one was a bust. It wasn't even a Jigsaw but more "rearrange the pieces until you make the picture". It was another one I was surprised had a plat and another super easy one but I don't recommend it if you're looking for a Jigsaw game. #188 Epic Word Search Collection (PS4) May 26, 2020 (8:59 AM) Another casual game from LIghtwood Studios! This one was interesting as instead of having separate word searches, you had four gigantic word searches with sixteen puzzles linked together. And...I didn't like that concept after playing it. Not only did they remove the multiplayer that made this fun with the POWGI version but the way they showed words was somewhat annoying. As you move across this gigantic word search, words that are available in the section change as they show up in the puzzle. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up when a decent portion of the word is on screen but rather when the first letter of that word shows up. This caused me to search fruitlessly for words only to realize only the first two letters were on screen and I had to scroll in a different direction to find it. This is a problem especially when words are backwards because if you're looking for spaghetti and only the backwards diagonal i is on screen, you have no idea where it is until you scroll the wrong way and lose it. If they had organized it slightly better, such as dividing the puzzle into smaller quadrants and showed which quadrants a word is on, that would help immensely (for example, Cartographer goes from Jobs 1-1 to 2-2). But it is an easy plat, I was just disappointed that I couldn't search with the wife and the words were popping up before they could be realistically found. #189 Puzzle Showdown 4K May 26, 2020 (5:15 PM) Out of all the puzzle games I completed, this one is closest to what I wanted which was a full puzzle experience with multiplayer. While it doesn't have the full puzzle experience (instead giving people pieces and asking them to put the pieces into a defined area like Puzzle Zen), it was closest and we did enjoy it overall. I like the fact that you can turn on scoring to see who is doing best with pieces and bonuses. We'll likely continue playing this until we can find a better version but this one has been our favorite so far as we can play it together and it's semi close to a real jigsaw. #190 Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek May 27, 2020 (2:47 PM) Another hidden object game I downloaded off Playstation Now and played with the wife. I love hidden object games but they're pretty much a dime a dozen. Platinums 191-200 Spoiler #191 Music Racer May 30, 2020 (12:21 AM) This game looked so cool with the 80s aesthetic and being able to race to your music (like Audiosurf on Steam). Unfortunately, I soon realized that the game only lets you race to the built in soundtrack and the custom soundtrack feature was removed completely. It's still an OK game but after a few runs to generic electronic music, I essentially left it on and kept hitting restart while I did other stuff. It can be a fun game but the lack of custom music support kills it in my opinion (though I understand why Sony doesn't want people to load custom content off of USB drives). Easy plat though after getting to 100K (which takes hours of playing). #192 Mixups by POWGI (Vita) May 30, 2020 (7:39 PM) POWGI games are awesome, fun and usually have quick plats. In this case, I picked up a POWGI game I started a while ago during a blackout and wrapped it up for the double plat. Still highly recommend these games. #193 Word Sudoku by POWGI (Vita) June 2, 2020 (10:41 PM) Another awesome POWGI game, another double plat. I do recommend turning off the letters and doing numbers though. It makes it a whole lot easier. #194 Word Sweeper by POWGI (Vita) June 3, 2020 (2:44 PM) Another awesome POWGI game, another double plat. I have a guide up for you if you want that makes this game very easy. Check it out! #195 Tic Tac Letters by POWGI (Vita) June 3, 2020 (6:27 PM) More POWGI awesomeness. I meant to finish these a while ago but with me getting close to 200, I've been using them to get there quickly. Still, check this one out! #196 Word Maze by POWGI (Vita) June 29, 2020 (10:01 PM) More POWGI awesomeness. More double plats. More quick plats to get me to 200 quicker. Still, check this one out! #197 Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated July 1, 2020 (6:35 PM) This one was a game I preordered because I loved the PS2 one back in the day but didn't remember much about it. I'm an unashamed adult fan of Spongebob (though I did get some messages from work friends asking why I was playing this so much) and this game was really fun. It plays a lot like a Banjo Kazooie clone (though slightly watered down) and I had a blast with it. The visuals are gorgeous too and I always love collect-a-thons (which reminds me, I gotta go back to Yooka Laylee at some point) and the classic Spongebob humor is everywhere in this. However, my biggest compliant is that they didn't get Clancy Brown to do Mr. Krabs (and a decent Ernest Borgnine impersonator). Other than that, this is a great game, albeit repetitive, and I had a blast playing it! #198 Maneater July 3, 2020 (2:19 PM) I initially got this one for the wife, as it's totally her through and through. Her favorite movie is Jaws, she loves open world games with RPG mechanics and she loves causing random mayhem and destruction which is this game in a nut shell. Naturally, I played it too and it is a blast though very repetitive. While the gameplay doesn't really evolve past "eat fish, find open world treasures and landmarks, kill humans, get and equip upgrades", it's still awesome and worth the budget price this game goes for. While it's pretty short, if you enjoy chomping humans and getting crazy shark upgrades (like electric jaws) all to the tune of a hilarious narrator, you'll dig this one. #199 Edna & Harvey: The Breakout Anniversary Edition July 7, 2020 (11:00 PM) Another Daedalic point and click adventure! I'm really digging these PS4 ports of their games! This one is a lot of fun but you can tell it was a bit earlier in their portfolio as you explore mainly a single map for the game. Still, the humor on this one was spot on (though if you're iffy about light hearted jabs at mental health this isn't for you) and the gameplay was fun as always. I nearly got stuck about 3/4 through when I couldn't get the guard to leave his post despite the guides online saying he was supposed to leave. Luckily, the solution was simple but I spent a good hour looking for it. I always highly recommend these games and this is no exception. I hope that we get more from them (hopefully Whispered World). #200 Far Cry 4 (PS4) July 16, 2020 (1:06 AM) Plat 200! This game was a blast! However, it did start to get somewhat repetitive near the end but I loved the missions and the story. The trippy, drugged out world was awesome too which made Yogi's missions really fun and exploring the map was awesome, especially with the wingsuit. I still have a ways to 100% (I'm around 63% atm) and I have to do the DLC but this was an awesome game and I can't wait to play the next ones. The reason I chose it for 200 was because my wife introduced me to this game and said it was awesome. In fact, this was the last game I played right before we got married, which makes it pretty special (even though the story is wacked out and anti love for sure). Can't wait to try the other Far Cry games soon! Platinums 201-210 Spoiler #201 Epic Word Search 2 (PS4) July 28, 2020 (10:30 PM) To be fair, I wasn't a huge fan of the first one but it was still pretty fun and a simple trophy list. So when I saw the second one was getting released soon (thanks to the trophies being shown early on this site), I wanted to pick it up and see if it improved. To be honest, not a whole lot (it's mainly four new giant puzzles) but it didn't seem nearly as aggravating this time and was pretty fun. Still, I recommend Word Search by POWGI instead as you can see each of the words instead of having them cut off due to the size of the puzzle but it's still fun irregardless and a short 1-2 hour plat. #202 Crypto by POWGI (PS4) July 28, 2020 (11:45 PM) What a unique game! You essentially have to solve quotes by guessing which letters were replaced with which other letters. For example, think of Al Bhed from Final Fantasy X and how it replaces letters (A=Y, B=P, etc). You have to figure out which letters are replacing which other ones in this game. Very cool concept, slightly challenging but fun none the less. Another great POWGI game! Keep em coming! #203 Final Fantasy VIII Remastered August 1, 2020 (11:17 PM) Oh man I loved every second of replaying this game and managed to get 100% (all GFs, Cards, Weapons, Side Quests, etc) on it for the first time since the early 2000s! I used to love this game and, as blasphemous as it sounds, as a kid I loved this one way more than even the beloved FF7. The graphics were way better, the atmosphere and storyline were awesome (and even though I think it's a little weird nowadays, still cool), the weapons and enemies were fun and the music was some of the best (I still listen to the 4 CD soundtrack, which was one of the first things I ever imported back in the day). Heck, one of the first posters I ever put up with my wife in the house was one of Rinoa and Squall, just because this game meant the world to me as a kid. And I gotta say, it still holds up and is a blast. While I do miss Chocobo World (I grew up playing the PC version and later the PS1 version), the graphics look great and the boosters help tremendously (playing with 3X speed off was weird after a while). Thanks to that booster too it only took me about 25 hours to complete (with about 10 of that playing Triple Triad and grinding cards for huge early stat gains) and I really enjoyed my time with this game. If you want to get the plat, it's pretty easy (especially compared to the PC version achievements) and I highly recommend RoughDawg4's guide on PS3Imports (sorry PSNProfiles, I still love this site though!). It's extremely likely I'll restart this game to play with the wife soon but that will likely be on the Switch as I imported the dual pack a while ago. If you can get over the weird junction system and plot, I highly recommend getting this game. This will likely show as my 200th platinum on this site, which I chose due to how important this game was to me as a kid, and it still is today and I'm proud to show it off. Now hopefully, I can nab FF9's soon... NOTE: The reason FF7 didn't have the same impact FF8 did was mainly due to my friend. I didn't have a PS1 until 2001 (thanks to PS2's backwards compatibility) and so I had to play FF7 at a friend's house, who was on Disc 3 as I started playing it. Within fifteen seconds of Aeris' introduction, my friend dropped the bombshell that happens at the end of Disc 1 on me and I couldn't get attached to the characters the way everyone else who played that game could. Not only that, I came fresh from FF6 and it bothered me that you couldn't permanently learn magic and abilities like in FF6. Still, the game was quality and I loved what I played, it just didn't have the same impact due to my friend spoiling it for me. #204 Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal August 28, 2020 (12:04 PM) Senran Kagura was a series I had my eye on ever since I played Cyberdimension and Hyperdimension U, as they were made by the Tamsoft people and I found the gameplay very fun. However, the extreme fan service made me leery of it. And while the game does have copious amounts of fan service, I was shocked to find that the gameplay was very smooth and fun and the story was surprisingly deep for a game of this nature. For example, Neptunia usually has an interesting story that devolves into pudding and eggplant jokes but this one had depth to the characters. While the Hanzo side was a bit more enjoyable for me (I felt the character's stories were a lot more motivating than the Hebijo side), this was a very fun game and I plan to write a guide for it soon (just gotta wrap up the hidden scrolls section). Very much looking forward to the next game in the series, which I believe is Shinovi versus! #205 Megatagmension Blanc & Neptune vs Zombies September 13, 2020 (2:11 PM) The last of the Tamsoft Hyperdimension games. I liked the premise and the high school setting was fun. The gameplay was great too and the fact that the all lily rank trophy was gone definitely improved this game over HDNU. However, it was very annoying farming bosses for treasure and rare parts drops. Some treasures I got second try while ones, like the Dark Ring treasure, didn't drop even after four hours of grinding. Not only that but daily missions with exclusive monsters you have to kill is somewhat annoying because if you miss a day, you have to wait (and from my tests I couldn't trick the system). Still, it was a great game and I'm sad that this was the final Tamsoft Neptunia game. Cyberdimension is still my favorite of the three but this one is close and it's very much recommended. #206 RPG Maker MV (NA) September 17, 2020 (3:20 PM) I imported RPG Maker MV a few months before this finally released, as this game had been delayed nearly a year and a half so I was prepared when it came to the trophies on this list. Of course, I wasn't expecting a separate list but it worked out! However, they did change one trophy (the tutorial trophy) as the tutorials were patched out. The game itself is actually very fun and a somewhat decent port of the PC version. Plus it has a few extra features and the ability to upload your game and share it with people, even if they don't own this game. However, the lack of support for custom content and scripts really hurt the overall playability of the game. Still, if you don't have a PC and want to create some PS4 games to play and share with your buddies, you can't go wrong with this game. I wrote a guide for the site, but it needs some work before I can submit it. Still, RPG Maker is one of my all time favorite series and I'm really glad it came back to consoles. #207 RPG Maker MV Trinity (JP) September 17, 2020 (4:25 PM) I had imported this version and really was enjoying messing around with it prior to the launch of the overseas version. The game is entirely in English (save for the patched out tutorials) but it takes a bit more work to get the platinum. Most of the trophies on the list are easy but require some work arounds and the tutorial trophy is unobtainable if you don't have the physical version and can delete the patch. Still a fun engine but I'm a bit sad the projects I was working on won't transfer to the US version. #208 Zero Strain October 20, 2020 (4:27 PM) To be honest, I saw a friend playing this and it seemed like a cool game. However, it was a rather bland shooter with only a couple levels. Still, it was a very easy platinum and cheap and it wasn't glitchy, just an average space shooter. #209 My Name is Mayo 2 November 28, 2020 (4:38 PM) You know the drill. I did love the new stories though. They were hilarious. But it's still the clicking simulator it was in the past. #210 Yakuza Kiwami 2 February 5, 2021 (7:28 PM) First platinum of 2021 and it's an incredible game! I loved the upgrades the dragon engine brought to this game. So many little upgrades. I loved throwing people through windows and getting denied service or pushing over everyone's bikes in Sotenbori. Having a large inventory was awesome and I really enjoyed the new EXP system. Even having the Mahjong tiles show translated titles was awesome! While there seemed to be a lot less content this time around, everything that was here was done really well. The story itself was very interesting too but I would say so far it's my least favorite (though after the incredible ride that was 0 and the tie in that was 1, that's not saying much). Highly recommended game and an amazing sequel. I'm very glad I played through this one (and that Etsuko returned, that was awesome!) Platinums 211-220 Spoiler #211 Yakuza 0 February 8, 2021 (1:01 AM) My third Yakuza platinum and probably my favorite one so far. While it took me over 200 hours to complete, everything about this game was a joy (though the Climax Battles were pushing it). There's a lot here that made me nearly give up on the platinum (several minigame requirements, Climax Battles, Chapter 13 on Legendary, etc), it seemed like every time I grew frustrated enough to quit, I made some sort of progress towards the platinum. But truth be told, I loved the story, gameplay and nearly everything about this game. The story was suspenseful and epic for both characters, there was a huge amount of fun minigames (including making a chicken head of security for your Real Estate business or using an old lady as a cabaret hostess who rakes in the dough) and it seemed like there was no shortage of fun things to explore or do in this game. Yes, it's a tough platinum but it's one that I'm proud to have and I hope that I can continue my momentum through the remastered collection. This game is a treasure that everyone should play through, even if you decide not to go for the platinum. #212 Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and Lion King March 15, 2021 (3:47 PM) I grew up with both of these games and it was a blast replaying them again. Lion King was a bit harder than I remembered but still lots of fun. I liked how you got multiple versions of each game and the trophy lists were very easy considering you can use passwords to cheese through the game. But it was a fun little side game and a trip down memory lane (my wife especially loved it considering she loves these movies). Rumor has it that Jungle Book will be released as DLC, which would be cool, but for now this is shelved. Good games though and recommended if you want a nostalgia trip or an easy platinum. However, if you're looking for a remaster or remake, these games are unchanged from their original version so keep that in mind. #213 House Flipper May 1, 2021 (10:51 PM) I half expected this to be shovelware-esque, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game. It was a lot of fun fixing up old houses and remodeling/decorating them and it gave me a "Viscera Cleanup Detail" feeling, which is one of my favorite PC indie games. The gameplay was soothing in a weird way as you cleaned up trash and fixed the houses or did contracting jobs. There are even houses that are references to real ones, like the Home Alone house or the Breaking Bad house which was a cool touch. This is an oddly therapeutic game though and very relaxing. I just wish there was more to do. I even wrote a guide for the DLC, which I managed to complete as well but despite adding cool new features, it makes the game much glitchier. I really recommend the base version, which is a lot of fun, but wait till you've finished it before getting the DLC. #214 Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 (PS3) May 5, 2021 (9:47 PM) Ah, this game. I loved this game a lot. It reinvigorated me on the Need for Speed series and I spent a lot of time exploring Fairhaven and doing all the mini challenges and things of that nature. I loved this open world, finding cars, hitting cops and the like. While my initial run was on the Vita, I picked this one up to experience the DLC but this was my third or fourth run through this game, which made a few trophies tough. But thanks to some people from this site, I managed to wrap up the online trophies in the base game and earn the platinum trophy! I've since completed all single player content but I don't think I'll be able to get the rest of the trophies, considering how one requires at least 7 people. But I really enjoy this game and I will likely fire it up still just to explore more. The collectable trophies are still tough though considering how annoying it is to miss a single gate or billboard. #215 Astro's Playroom May 23, 2021 (10:06 PM) My first PS5 platinum trophy (as it will likely be for a lot of new PS5 owners!). This game was such a joy to play through. I loved every moment of my time with it. The nostalgia trip through Playstation history was so awesome and seeing so many cameos (such as MGS, Silent Hill or RE) was awesome. This is truly a game you have to play to enjoy and experience first hand though, watching videos won't do you justice. Feeling Astro move through the world on the controller is unique and so enjoyable and having the built in PS5 guide was incredibly helpful with finding a few stubborn collectables. I would love a full fledged sequel to this game with more levels, history and artifacts. Maybe worlds based on PSP and Vita? Even if it's just DLC for this game, I would love to play through more of it. Highly recommended and such a treat for a free game. Very proud to have this as my first PS5 platinum. #216 Spider-Man Remastered (PS5) May 29, 2021 (2:36 PM) I missed Spider-Man the first time it came around on PS4 and when I got my new PS5, I had Miles Morales sidelined. But before I played that game, I wanted to experience the original so I downloaded the remaster and played through it. I really loved what Insomniac did with the game. It was really fun exploring the city, seeing real landmarks and the plot was actually pretty good. I really like how they handled certain characters and how lesser known villains got a chance to shine in this one. My only real gripe with this one was the random crimes that would sometimes glitch out. Before I even got the map working, the game would usually spawn a crime that I couldn't find even after activating the map or sometimes I would just get a random "We got it Spider-Man don't worry" without a notification popping up. Still, I really enjoyed this game and 100% all DLC as well. I hope Spider-Man 2 will be as good! #217 Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) June 5, 2021 (12:10 AM) This was a short and sweet game that I really enjoyed! It was just long enough to never outstay it's welcome, I loved all the new upgrades (such as the app for crimes or the venom punch) and the winter theme made it feel fun to explore NYC all over again. I played the PS4 version mainly to autopop the PS5 version trophies but it was still awesome playing this game. Slightly easier than the first game but it was pretty much an expansion pack to the game and well worth playing through. Definitely another recommended game from Insomniac! #218 Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS5) June 5, 2021 (12:16 AM) As I mentioned above, I played the PS4 version so I could autopop the PS5 trophies. Still highly recommended and exploring afterwards, the PS5 seems to make this beautiful game even better looking. In the future, I probably will play through this version again in New Game + and replay this game as it really was fun. #219 Cat Quest II June 6, 2021 (1:29 AM) This was an awesome follow up to an awesome game. Somewhat short and a bit harder than Cat Quest 1 but a very fun game and I loved having a Dog as a second player. The storyline also made me chuckle. It's basically more of the goodness that was Cat Quest 1 but with more features and 2 player mode. I really hope Cat Quest 3 comes out sometime soon. #220 Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart June 14, 2021 (5:51 PM) Playing this reminded me of why I love this series so much and just how long it's been. This was a fantastic game with fun gameplay and beautiful graphics. It also made good use of the PS5 controller as well. The story was a bit cliche but I enjoyed it overall and I really hope it doesn't take them another 5 years to make a sequel to this one. Still, this was a very fun game and one that I will probably replay in New Game + a few times so I can max out my weapons and re-experience the storyline again. A lot of people say this game is too short but I feel like it was perfect. It wasn't too short but it didn't drag on. Most people may want to wait until the price goes down a bit but I'm glad I got it and it's a very fun, highly recommended game. Platinums 221-230 Spoiler #221 Maneater (PS5) June 18, 2021 (12:01 AM) This is still a fun, short game that's pretty fun but I feel like it didn't use the PS5 capabilities as well as it could have. Yes, it looks fantastic and it doesn't sound like a jet engine taking off when I play it on PS5 but outside of a new skin it didn't really feel like much of an upgrade (especially when you can play the PS4 version on PS5). Still, it was a lot of fun replaying this game and it was awesome that it was a free upgrade from the PS4 version. Hopefully the developers make a sequel with lots of more content (and a higher level cap) but if you're looking for a fun game to unwind to that lets you eat some people as an electric shark, look no further! #222 Hatsune Miku Project Diva Future Tone DX June 18, 2021 (1:36 PM) Project Diva Future Tone is by far my favorite game in the series and one of the ultimate Miku packages. How can you beat over 200 Miku songs with customizable modules and a variety of modes? I originally imported the Japanese digital version thinking there was no way they'd ever license that many songs for overseas (of course, they did and I bought that version too) and I fell in love with the game instantly. I even really enjoyed the Switch version (though I wish all of the songs made it over). So when I heard that they made a physical version with all the DLC (minus the Megamix songs), I had to import it. This is the ultimate Miku game (unless you really like Diva Room or Edit Mode) as nearly every song from every Miku game (minus Project Diva X) is in it. They even upgraded the visuals on the PVs, which is awesome. The physical version even comes with a platinum trophy which is super easy to get (mainly playing and taking photos of the DLC songs). If you have any interest in Miku songs, buy this game! You will not regret it as there is a ton of content and pretty much all of the top Miku songs are here. #223 Catlateral Damage Remeowstered (PS4) September 18, 2021 (1:23 PM) Wow, nearly 3 months to the minute between completions. Yikes. Catlateral Damage was a cute, fun little platformer that my wife and I enjoyed a lot (though I can see why a lot of people didn't). So when the "remeowstered" version came out, I was curious. And to be honest, I feel like this one is two steps forward, one step back. The gameplay is a lot more fun with different things to do and the goals mode was a lot of fun. I especially liked that they had procedural and litterbox mode still to play a version similar to the other one. I also really liked that it would cycle between unearned photos and you could buy them as well as the fact that upgrades stayed with your character. But the energy system felt so limiting at first. Sure, once you've got a few upgrades it's OK but starting out, you can barely go to the next room without draining half of your energy. There was also a weird glitch where the 100% goal mode pictures trophy didn't unlock until I restarted the game, which also happened on the PS5 version. Still, it was a lot of fun and an easy platinum no less. Better than the original version for sure and I had a blast with it. #224 Need for Speed Most Wanted (Vita) September 29, 2021 (3:31 AM) One of my longest platinum trophies to date! I started this way back in 2013 when I first got my Vita and barely completed it in 2021. I had completed the online trophies with @AihaLoveleaf (thank you very much for your help!) back in April when I did the PS3 trophies and only really had the gold all races left to do. However, I just could not beat Needle Point for the life of me. The Vita's screen was too small and something always caused an issue (cop pulling up too far, jumping over the bridge in the last section, crashing into the offramp into the airfield). It took me no less than 50 tries and I'm not exaggerating. Finally, I managed to beat that race and the rest seemed to fall into place shortly after. Though this was my first encounter with this game (which I really enjoy), after playing the console version, the Vita version is a lot tougher to just do pretty much anything (due to the small screen and loose joystick). Still, a decent port and I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks again to AihaLoveleaf for helping me get the online trophies out of the way. #225 Catlateral Damage Remeowstered (PS5) October 1, 2021 (12:24 AM) The PS5 version feels pretty much the same as the PS4 version, just with HD rumble when your cat is purring which is pretty cool. The 100% goals pictures still glitched on me the day the patch came out (not sure if it fixed this or not). Still fun but the plat can be boring due to running the supermarkat level so many times for the object count trophies. #226 Far Cry 3: Classic Edition October 11, 2021 (3:21 AM) I never got a chance to experience Far Cry 3 back in the day but man, I could have seen how this game would have been impactful. Vaas was a cool villain and the story was actually pretty interesting. However, this game petered off near the end to become somewhat of a chore. I'm so glad that the game didn't require all Relics/Treasures as by the time I got the platinum, I was ready to move on from this game. Eventually, I'll have to go back and 100% this game (I'm around 75%) but for now, this game is done and I'll be moving onto Far Cry 6. #227 Our Church and Halloween RPG Story One October 14, 2021 (1:13 AM) I saw this game and immediately thought it looked cool and like an old school game boy game and purchased it and several other Breakthrough games, as they are easy completions. However, when I fired up the game, I was super surprised at just how easy and how short this game is. This game is a ten minute platinum which includes two and a half runs. I expected the game to be short but not smash bros trial game short! Seriously, there are two areas to this game and only one real puzzle and the game ends. You barely get to know the characters at all! I'm glad this was only 99 cents and it's definitely a super easy platinum but that's just insane. This is just platinum fodder to be completely honest. While I think the game could be cool if the devs worked a bit on it and padded each game out a bit, at this point you can get more time out of reading this platinum review. #228 Zippy the Circle Level 1 & 2 November 2, 2021 (11:24 PM) Another game by Breakthrough, another 10 minute platinum. I like the gameplay, even if the text is preachy, but imagine if Nintendo sold every Mario level individually (1-1, 1-2, etc) and called it a game and it would be akin to this. Just like the Church and Halloween story, this one barely gets started before it ends. However, it's definitely more fun than Church and Halloween as there is some real gameplay here. #229 Zippy the Circle Level 3 & 4 November 2, 2021 (11:29 PM) Levels 3 and 4 (sold separately) and also completed in 3 minutes. Fun gameplay but all the levels should have been packed together for 99 cents. #230 Zippy the Circle Level 5, 6 & 7 November 2, 2021 (11:38 PM) This time you get three levels! Still only a five minute platinum! Platinums 231-240 Spoiler #231 Zippy the Circle Level 8, 9 & 10 November 2, 2021 (11:46 PM) This one took me five minutes as well. But still a minute shorter than my last platinum! #232 Zippy the Circle Level 11, 12 & 13 November 2, 2021 (11:51 PM) The Zippy finale (or so they say). Still roughly the same as the others only this time with a weird ending. This one only took me 2 minutes! #233 ZJ the Ball Level 1 November 3, 2021 (12:00 AM) Zippy the Circle except this time, you're bouncing as a ball instead of jumping. And you only get one level this time. #234 ZJ the Ball Level 2 November 3, 2021 (12:09 AM) Level 2 this time. These aren't necessarily bad games like Little Prairie Adventure but instead just extremely short games broken up into even tinier games. Still, easy platinums. #235 ZJ the Ball Level 3 November 3, 2021 (12:13 AM) Three minute platinum. I managed to get nearly 10 platinums in an hour, showing you just how short and easy these platinums are. #236 ZJ the Ball Level 4 November 3, 2021 (12:17 AM) Don't worry, we're almost done with the Breakthrough platinums (at least, this run). #237 ZJ the Ball Level 5 November 3, 2021 (12:27 AM) Ten platinums in roughly one hour. If PS Rewards were still rewarding platinum trophies, this would have earned enough for $10 store credit. The games themselves aren't necessarily bad (preachy, but not bad) but 2 minutes to get 100% completion is rough. Had these been a collection of all levels (or even numerous games) I could have recommended it. But instead, these are just 2 minute platinum padding and thinly disguised microtransactions that force you to pay to keep playing. #238 Atelier Ryza December 16, 2021 (12:58 PM) This game is so much fun! I know a lot of people were talking about just how awesome Ryza was and how it reinvigorated the series but after playing it, I can see why. I love the new battle system, I love the visual recipe system for alchemy, I love exploring the world and getting quests (the night sky is beautiful in this game) and the story is pretty good for an Atelier game! I can't recommend this one enough, if you like Atelier games, this one is a blast. Even if you haven't played one, pick this game up and play it! (Then join my let's play!) #239 Among Us (PS5) December 20, 2021 (3:18 AM) Among Us has become a meme but honestly it's a lot of fun to play and I'm glad it came out on PS4/5! At first, I thought this would never be a trophy list I would accomplish, due to it mostly relying on online multiplayer. However, the game is crossplay with all platforms so I was able to self boost most of them by using the PC version (I did get several of them legit though). There's also a glitch that counts tasks/kills in practice mode which helped me get the cumulative kills/tasks trophies. The game is a lot of fun, especially with friends so I recommend it and this port is actually very good. #240 Atelier Ryza 2 (PS4) January 12, 2022 (2:49 AM) First plat of 2022! Everything I loved about Ryza 1 comes back in 2 with the addition of a sort of detective mode which I really loved. The trophy list was a bit easier too as I didn't have to alchemize everything (though the secret boss kept me from this platinum for at least a week or maybe even two). Altogether though, I loved Ryza 2 and all the new additions to the system and if you liked Ryza 1, you'll love this one too. Highly recommended for everyone but make sure to play Ryza 1 first if you care about the story. Platinums 241-250 Spoiler #241 Atelier Ryza 2 (PS5) January 18, 2022 (3:02 PM) Finished up the autopop and reran through the game. Still fun but glitchier. #242 God of War (PS4) January 31, 2022 (2:23 PM) I was going to wait to play this until I finished Ghost of Sparda and Ascension but my coworker gave me so much grief for not playing this game that I fired it up. Boy did I enjoy this game though. While I'm not as familiar with Norse mythology as I am with Greek/Roman mythology, I still really enjoyed this game. The cinematography was incredible and the gameplay was a ton of fun. Of course, I loved just throwing my axe random places and calling it back to me a la Thor. I'm really looking forward to Ragnarok now, especially with the twist at the end. Highly recommended game (and free if you have PS Plus and a PS5). #243 MLB The Show 21 (PS5) February 23, 2022 (1:46 AM) I don't play sports games often (mainly cause that's all I was allowed to play as a kid so I burnt myself out on them). However, every so often I get a hankering to play one and this one came with my PS5. After playing NBA 2K22 and having a blast with my custom team of friends, I fired this one back up and created a team of my friends and coworkers. Thankfully, this game was also on Xbox Game Pass so I was able to cross play and get the trophies I needed (such as 10 pitches at the plate) so the rest were easy. But I had a blast playing through and seeing my friends and colleagues rise through the ranks and hear the commentary about them. I may play through The Show 22 (just because I had so much fun with 21) but we'll see. #244 Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises March 20, 2022 (8:28 PM) My wife and I love to play hidden object games together and we started this one a while back (I tend to buy these games when they go on sale just so we can play through them together when we get time). I actually enjoyed this one a bit more just because there was the detective story and puzzles on top of the hidden objects (and you didn't have to play through twice). However, the game is still very much a standard hidden object style game at it's core. Fun if you're into those types of games but not different enough to recommend if you're not. #245 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (PS5) March 24, 2022 (2:50 PM) When I first played the demo of this, I was curious as to why they would make a Final Fantasy 1 Dark Souls-esque game. Especially as the game seemed to be edgy for the sake of being edgy. But after playing through it, I can say I actually enjoyed it and how it tied into Final Fantasy 1's story. Of course, if you never played Final Fantasy 1 you may not appreciate it as much but I liked the "twists and turns". The end game is really grindy though so be aware of that. I was worried I wouldn't be able to platinum this game due to the "beat everything on Chaos difficulty" trophy. However, this trophy is possibly glitched and unlocks after completing a single mission on Chaos. Even if this gets patched, there is currently an exploit that allows you to get level 300 gear without real trouble which will make that trophy somewhat easy. Still, all in all, I really enjoyed my time with this game and I hope Team Ninja makes a follow up for it (possibly Final Fantasy 2 with Leon?). #246 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (PS4) March 24, 2022 (2:53 PM) This version was autopopped due to the fact they patched in cloud saving. To be fair, I could have autopopped this all in one go but I was worried about the chaos trophy so I autopopped that one after I unlocked it then autopopped the rest when I completed the game. Still recommend picking it up if you're a Final Fantasy fan as I enjoyed the setting and the different gameplay. #247 Dot Hack G.U. Last Recode March 30, 2022 (12:45 AM) I was a big dot hack fan back in the PS2 days but I never managed to finish volume 2 of GU. After talking with a coworker, who is also a big dot hack fan, I fired this up again in an attempt to finally beat it (as he was the opposite and had beaten GU but not IMOQ). I managed to take my time with each volume and 100% everything (including the books of 1000 and sidequests). I really enjoyed these games a lot, even though a lot of the game boils down to "story/grind/tournament/story/ending". I was also weirdly nostalgic while playing Volume 4, even though I never got past Vol 2 back in the day. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game and I really hope the Switch version does well enough that they consider an IMOQ remaster/remake. This also wound up being my most time consuming game according to my time tracker (230+ hours) but considering it's three full games and a fourth mini volume, I'm not surprised. Highly recommend, it's a blast (and frequently goes on sale). #248 Horizon: Zero Dawn April 18, 2022 (3:27 AM) I really liked this game when it first came out but I got distracted and never finished it. I really enjoyed the exploration and seeing all the machines that looked like animals. The story was a bit weird to me but I still found this game very fun. My coworker was teasing me about this game too because I managed to complete roughly 75% of the game before doing the main story quests (I like to explore and find collectables). But overall this was a really fun game and it's always going on sale for $5 so I'd recommend it. The platinum is a bit of a chore at times (hunting grounds, I'm looking at you) but it's still a lot of fun. #249 Horizon: Forbidden West (PS4) April 25, 2022 (6:23 PM) After wrapping up Zero Dawn, I wanted to fire this up as I got it around the same time as Elden Ring and wanted to test it out. To make matters more interesting, my friend at work was playing this too (though he was a lot farther than me). At first it was a bit frustrating as they segmented the game and progression locked most of the side quests/collectables. However, after deciding to just beat the game before I explore to unlock all the tools, my friend challenged me to see who could beat it first. We both ended up nearly at the same mission but I managed to squeeze past him first. However, it was a blast sharing our progress with each other and challenging each other. I still have some stuff to do in this game but I'll likely pick it back up when/if the DLC drops. Fun game and I like a lot of the changes (the grapple hook is cool for example) but I wish they didn't lock everything behind the story. Still recommended and a fun upgrade to Zero Dawn. #250 Horizon: Forbidden West (PS5) April 25, 2022 (7:14 PM) This version was autopopped using the PS4 save. Funny enough though this became my fastest platinum trophy ever (2 seconds). Platinums 251-260 Spoiler #251 Grand Theft Auto III: DE (PS5) May 14, 2022 (12:21 PM) This is my second stack of this game and this one was honestly a lot harder than the original PS4 version. This game does have its issues, there is no denying that, but the world does look a lot better and I really enjoy the updated controls (and in game map). Besides, I love GTA III, I'm always down to play through it again and again. I'll likely be starting the final stack of this game soon (PS4 version) but I may jump over to Vice City first (not sure). Still, had a blast playing this game and laughing at the vehicle spawn rate changes (seeing Mr. Whoopees and Flatbeds everywhere) or finding new glitches. Not looking forward to ambulance missions again but this is still a blast to play and I had a lot of fun getting 100% again on this version. #252 Our Church And Halloween RPG: Story Two May 15, 2022 (1:41 AM) More platinum fodder. There was a challenge on TrueTrophies for completions in May and I played this one to get an easy completion. I thought the game looked really cool and bought several of the chapters at once but was upset with the first game's length of 5 minutes and never continued. It was a bit more fleshed out than the first game but the battles didn't matter cause you killed everything in one shot anyway. Honestly, I know it's only 99 cents but they really should have packaged all of these games together as one game. Even then it would be short but it wouldn't feel this disappointing when you beat in a few minutes. It has the potential to be a cool game but it's literally just selling because it's a 5 minute platinum and I'm sure the devs know that. #253 Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition May 17, 2022 (11:38 AM) I started this due to TrueTrophies' May RPG target. At first, I thought this game was just a cash grab. But after playing it, I really enjoyed it a lot. Yes, the graphics aren't as pretty but I feel like FFXV makes more sense when you consolidate it down to the essentials. The real FFXV had so much empty space and running from spot to spot that when the maps are concise like this, it feels a lot smoother and more focused. Yes, there's a lot of grinding involved for the platinum but I really enjoyed this version of the game (even though it got repetitive at times) and it managed to tell the entire story of FFXV. My biggest complaints are the repetitive nature and the meaningless choices but other than that, this is likely my go to version if I want to re-experience FFXV. While it's definitely meant to recoup some of FFXV's losses, it's a very enjoyable game on its own. #254 Deeeer Simulator May 31, 2022 (8:43 PM) This game is utterly ridiculous and is a blast. Very goat sim like where there is stuff to do but for the most part, it involves you just causing as much chaos as possible. While not nearly as fleshed out as goat simulator, this game was just hilarious and fun. Not a game that you should take seriously but a great game to unwind with and just screw around in for a little while. The platinum is also pretty easy, my only real complaint is that the game was very short (I beat it in a couple hours). Still, props to the developer! #255 Resident Evil 2 (PS5) June 13, 2022 (7:35 PM) Surprise! Three of my favorite RE games just got PS5 versions today, the same day that the original RE dropped on PS5! I'm very much looking forward to replaying this version and seeing all the new upgrades and fancy features (and not hearing the turbine sound of my PS4 when I played this game). This game does autopop if you have a PS4 save file so it autopopped everything except the final trophy I've been struggling with but I'm still gonna enjoy replaying this game. Great time to be a RE fan! #256 Resident Evil 3 (PS5) June 13, 2022 (7:37 PM) Another autopop from my PS4 save. Can't wait to try out these new versions though! Looking forward to playing them! #257 Resident Evil 5 (PS4) July 13, 2022 (2:47 AM) To be honest, when I first played RE5, I really disliked it. It was way too actiony and I preferred the exploration and survival of the first 3 games (and to some extent 4). It also didn't help that I had just played through 0-4 and CVX all in a row. But when I fired it up again, I actually really enjoyed the game. It was a lot of fun going through the game several times and while it's not an amazing RE game, it's still a fun game in general. The platinum was surprisingly easy as well. The only real tough part was getting through Pro and only on a couple of sections (mainly the giant boss fight). I still have to beat the Versus and Lost in Nightmares DLC but I'm gonna come back for those. Now to get through RE6 which so far is an actual chore. #258 House Builder July 18, 2022 (11:34 PM) My wife and I really loved House Flipper and this game seemed to have a similar vibe to it so we picked it up. I really enjoyed building houses from scratch in this game to be honest. However, there were a few glitchy and unpredictable things that happened along the way such as blocks not cutting or things not working properly though I think that was more cause we were playing it immediately after release. Still, it was a blast building the various houses and the platinum was quite easy consisting of only really unlocking the skill tree items (you really don't even have to build houses if you don't want). While not as replayable as House Flipper and a lot shorter due to the smaller amount of houses, this game is fun in its own right. Well worth the recommendation. #259 Sonic Origins (PS5) August 7, 2022 (8:29 PM) I do like me some old school Sonic and I always wondered why the upgraded mobile versions never made it to console. Thankfully, they have now. While the collection is way overpriced in my opinion, this was a really fun romp through classic Sonic games and the anniversary modes make it a lot easier to get through if you have trouble with the games. While the music in Sonic 3 took some getting used to, I actually had a lot of fun playing through this game and didn't run into any real glitches unlike other people who played this title. Exploring the changes was a lot of fun and playing through Hidden Palace zone or Sonic 1 as Knuckles was a blast. The platinum is also extremely easy with the challenges being the only real hard part (though you can pick and choose which ones you want to play). All in all, not nearly as bad as people make it out to be even though it still needs some work. I'll be likely playing the PS4 version sometime soon to get the double plat. #260 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS5) September 11, 2022 (5:03 PM) This game was such a blast to explore and play through! I really enjoyed it though to be honest, the mid to late game is kind of a drag. I really like exploring the universe, the new skill tree and the option to buy hints but 90% of this game is fetch quests and they put hundreds of fetch quests in this game. Still, I really enjoyed exploring and playing through the story (even if some of the levels were extremely short, Episode 1 I'm looking at you). If you're looking for a great, long lasting Lego game to play this is a great game and the plat is pretty much your par for the Lego (beat story missions, collect everything in certain planets, get all minikits, etc). Just be prepared cause this game is about 2.5x longer than other Lego games! Platinums 261-270 Spoiler #261 TMNT Cowabunga Collection (PS4) September 19, 2022 (1:21 AM) This collection came out of nowhere! All of my favorite TMNT games from back in the day in one collection with online play, strategy guides, rewind and a slew of amazing features to hold me over. This collection has all of the classics including the arcade versions of TMNT 89 and Turtles in Time, two of my favorites (and the main reason I picked this up). This collection has so much love put into it though that it's totally worth every penny. The trophies are super easy too and most simply require you to watch the computer beat the game and hop in at the last moment. Still, this is one game I'll be playing for a while, especially with my buddies. Highly recommend this collection. #262 Zero Escape: The Nonary Games December 6, 2022 (1:52 AM) I had heard lots of great things about these games but I didn't want to jump in on the sequel without playing 999. When they announced the Nonary Games collection featuring an updated 999 and VLR, I pounced on it and I'm so glad I did. These games are a blast and both of them feature engaging plots with mystery and escape rooms that can be really challenging at times. My only real gripes with this collection are that jumping through the timeline to get all the endings is super disorienting at times and the ending of VLR really left me hanging. Still, I played these with the wife and every time we picked them up, we didn't want to put them down just to see what happened next. Looking forward to closing out the trilogy with ZTD, even if the reviews are middling we want to see how the story wraps up. Highly recommend this collection as well. #263 Assassin's Creed III Remastered (PS4) December 7, 2022 (2:05 AM) When I first heard about this game, everything seemed amazing. But to be honest, the game itself was pretty middling for me. Despite taking place in colonial US, I wasn't engaged in the story. And the twist at the end was so sudden and unexplained it felt surreal. But the thing that really irked me about this game was how tedious the platinum was. Following people in the colony to try and get random observations that weren't tracked, searching for animals to spawn in specific regions so you can complete the hunting map, doing all of the challenges for every club, searching for convoys to spawn just for the trophy not to unlock, this platinum was mind numbingly boring. I felt like I spent more time doing the side trophies than I did 100%ing the main campaign. And that was including the frustrating optional missions that took 100 tries to complete, such as sinking the fleet in less than 1:30. I'm so glad to be done with this game and move onto Liberation. Heck, I was loving Unity when I played it briefly for the trophies and that opened my eyes to just how tedious and bored I was with AC3, mostly due to the platinum requirements. To summarize, there's so many things in this game that sound cool on paper, like the naval missions (which AC4 perfected), the setting, hunting for upgrades, etc. But they do it in such a boring, bland way that it never really feels fun like the Ezio trilogy. Couple that with having to 100% everything in the game, frustrating optional objectives and boring side missions and this is not a platinum I recommend. The game is worth a playthrough but definitely do not recommend trying for the platinum. #264 Assassin's Creed III Liberation (PS4) December 28, 2022 (1:11 AM) This game ended up being a lot of fun and really short but super glitchy. The game crashed 11 times in a row at one point! Honestly, once I got out of town, it seemed to do better but this version is super glitchy and I dunno if I recommend it. It's definitely a fun, short game to play with an interesting twist (changing outfits changes abilities) but I'd probably recommend it more on PS3/Vita as I'm sure those versions are more stable. #265 Persona 4 Golden (PS4) February 3, 2023 (6:30 PM) I've fired up this game on Vita and Steam and never gave it a fair shot but this time, I was instantly hooked. This game is so much fun and such a blast to go through. It's one of the first times in a really long time where I played a game with characters I grew attached to. It was gutwrenching when I finally beat this game and said goodbye to them as I felt like I was leaving behind a group of friends never to be seen again. The gameplay was addicting, the story was great and the characters were awesome. This is one game I highly highly recommend and it's only $20 so there's not much of an excuse not to play it. Very much my favorite game so far this year (likely past few years). #266 Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster April 19, 2023 (7:12 PM) One of my all time favorites! This version is spectacular as well. I originally played through this remake on the PC a few years ago and replaying it on PS4 was a ton of fun. Lylat on Steam has a great 100% walkthrough if you're missing enemies or treasure chests. The trophies aren't too bad in this one and it's a very fast completion, especially with the new 4x multipliers that reduce grinding. The only real difficult trophy of this list was making a few of the enemies appear (such as the Warmech in Tiamat's dungeon). Other than that, very fun game, very easy completion and worth playing through. I can't wait to play through the SNES ones as I only beat 4 and half of 5 for PC! #267 MLB The Show 22 (PS5) April 25, 2023 (10:59 AM) I originally got MLB The Show 21 with my PS5 and I hadn't played The Show in almost a decade at this point (the last one I played was 14 I think). Still, I had such a blast with it that when 22 went on sale, I picked it up and played through it. Most of the trophies for this year are easy (outside of a couple stragglers like Coming in Hot) and I only really needed 2 to finish this list after I let it sit for a while. But when I saw how much space it was taking up and how I wanted to play something else, I decided to hop on and get those last two trophies (co-op and Coming in Hot). I was lucky enough to find a co-op game relatively easy and the Coming in Hot was annoying but I finally got it in Retro mode. Very fun game. I do really enjoy creating my friends and family to be on my favorite teams and playing franchise mode. #268 Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster April 28, 2023 (4:00 PM) I do really enjoy Final Fantasy II, despite all of its overwhelming problems. And this version makes it very playable, especially with the random HP gains and the boosters. It took me a while to get through this one as it wasn't keeping my interest as much as 1 was but it's still a great, fun game in its own right despite all of its flaws. For example, the encounter rate is still too high, even in this version, and the dungeon layouts are not very exploration friendly. But the game has a dark twisted story that was way ahead of its time. It's definitely the black sheep of the series but I enjoyed my time with it and I'm looking forward to FF3, which was my favorite of the NES trilogy. #269 MLB The Show 22 (PS4) April 29, 2023 (4:15 PM) Since I got the PS4 version out to get the co-op trophy with the wife, I decided to do it twice. Most of the trophies were easy and, being familiar with them this time, I managed to get a lot of them with the wife in an exhibition game (such as Backwards K, three stolen bases, inside the park home run, two double plays, etc). Again, this came mostly down to the Coming in Hot trophy but after an hour or so of attempts, I finally got it on a line drive to the outfield. Most of this trophy list is pretty easy but the game is a lot of fun overall. Not sure if I want to get The Show 23 yet but we shall see. #270 Final Fantasy III May 21, 2023 (5:50 PM) This one was my favorite of the Famicom trilogy and the pixel remaster was a lot of fun. Of course, I'm a sucker for a fun job system. Unfortunately, having played FF3 a lot more in the past few months, I've realized the job system, while fun, isn't as fun as other games with Job systems (though I do give it praise for being one of the first to let you switch freely between classes). I do appreciate the variety they attempted to give the game with the magic spell dungeons though. All in all, still a fun game but not as much fun as I remember it being the first time I played through it. Platinums 271-280 Spoiler #271 Assassin's Creed Origins June 4, 2023 (5:32 PM) When this came out, I was awestruck. The gameplay seemed so much more improved and fun and I really enjoyed this game. The story is super sad though. I did shelve it so I could catch up on my other games (at the time I had just beaten AC1, 2 and Brotherhood). However, recently, I was looking for something to play that I could zone out and explore and this game was perfect for that as I explored the map and completed areas. When I got some rest, I was able to enjoy the story as well (it was dark but I really liked it). The DLC was a lot of fun too and I'm gonna have to go back to properly go through tour mode with the wife (who is interested in Egyptian culture). The trophies are a bit of a chore at times (such as using barrels to set enemies on fire or completing every icon on the map) but it's not too challenging. All in all, it was a great game with lots to do and even though it got really repetitive at times I still really enjoyed it. I'm probably gonna fire up AC4 next (or go back to Odyssey) but this is definitely a fun change of pace from the regular AC games. #272 Final Fantasy IV June 19, 2023 (12:52 PM) FF4 is a game that I've always really enjoyed but never to the extent that other fans did. It's a great game with awesome characters and a cool story but I liked other games in the series a bit more (personal preference). Still an amazing Final Fantasy game. And to my huge surprise, this run was so much easier than the Steam version. Not only did I get a couple of the secret summons without trying this time around but I also got the remainder with a lot less attempts (though I did hear they patched this version to make them a much higher drop rate). In fact, the biggest difficulty I had with this game was finding some of the more elusive Bestiary entries but once I got the Siren item I was able to find a lot of them without too much trouble. Awesome game and this version really made the platinum much easier than the PC version of the Pixel Remaster (though it's possible it's been patched since then too). Definitely recommend a playthrough if you're a Final Fantasy fan. #273 Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake June 25, 2023 (1:27 PM) I really enjoyed Battle for Bikini Bottom remastered, despite a few problems I had. So when Cosmic Shake went on sale, I had to pick it up. And to be honest, this is pretty much more of the same. The game had some cool moments and fans of the show will appreciate the story and the fact that all of the voice actors are represented this time (Clancy Brown is hit or miss on whether he's in the game sometimes). There are a few annoying trophies such as beating certain bosses without getting hit and I thought the game glitched on me for a moment (I was missing a single doubloon) but all in all, this is a fun, somewhat easy platinum. If you like collect-a-thons and prior Spongebob games, this is worth the playthrough. #274 Final Fantasy XVI July 9, 2023 (6:46 PM) What a unique Final Fantasy title. This game was a lot of fun but got somewhat tiresome near the end. I did really enjoy the beginning and middle, the story was pretty interesting but there was a ton of cutscenes, dialogue and side quests. The fact that New Game + gives you unique equipment was amazing though and it made the second playthrough a blast. Really enjoyed this game and I'm looking forward to the eventual DLC, even if I wouldn't say it's among my most favorite Final Fantasy games. #275 Final Fantasy V July 1, 2023 (8:38 PM) Every time I play FF5, I'm amazed at just how amazing this game is. It's easily in my top favorites of the series let alone RPGs. I've played this game many times before but I always get sidetracked leveling up all my jobs so I can get cool abilities and mix and match. But thanks to the PS4 version, I was able to sit down and finally beat this game. Not only did I learn about how OP freelancer becomes after leveling all your jobs to max but I saw just how much I really like these characters. Yeah, the story is somewhat of a trope but I really adore this game and I'm happy to have finally beaten it. I am already planning another playthrough with the wife and even though I just completed it, I'm eager to play it with her again. Great game! #276 Quake II (PS4) August 11, 2023 (7:19 PM) I used to love Quake 2 back in the day. Sure, I was more of a Quake 3/UT guy but Quake 2 was amazing so when they announced it coming for consoles, I had to pick it up. I haven't played it since the 360 release and I never actually beat this game so replaying it and going through the story mode was an absolute blast. Granted, I let my "you should complete it quick and be one of the first" emotions take over for the expansion trophies but I fully intend to beat the expansions on my PS5 run. Amazing game and a blast to play through. The trophy list was also surprisingly easy compared to the recent ID rereleases (I still don't know how I managed to get the Doom plat other than sheer perseverance and banging my head against the wall repeatedly). Still, this is a great game and I'm really enjoying playing multiplayer and going through the campaign. Great rerelease and one I'll be playing off and on again through the years. #277 Final Fantasy XIII August 19, 2023 (3:30 PM) Final Fantasy 13 completed in 13 years. Honestly, this is one of those games that took a second for me to "get". Playing through it in 2010, it didn't hold my interest much and I gave up pretty early on. I swore to beat it in 2015 after getting 13-2 and Lightning Returns and I nearly did but gave up on Chapter 11. But I finally replayed this game recently to show the wife and wound up loving it. Granted, I replayed the first 9 chapters on Xbox Series X but it really clicked this time and I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Sure, most of the gameplay is "run to the end of the hall" but I really got into the characters and the class swapping system. I feel like this is a great game with some flaws that can be annoying. For example, the random difficulty, even after maxing out all my characters and equipment. The platinum is pretty annoying too. So many turtles just to get platinum ingots that didn't hardly drop so I can buy upgrades for the Treasure Hunter trophy. And it took me several hours just to beat a Long Gui and Mission 64. But this game is finally wrapped up and I'm very much looking forward to FF13-2. #278 Final Fantasy VI August 22, 2023 (8:03 PM) The last pixel remaster and you can tell they really went all out for this one. I do wish some of the features they added to this had made it into previous ones, such as the world map showing which towns you went to, but this was an absolutely fantastic remake of one of my all time favorite games. I'm so glad to have replayed this one and once I have the time, I'll be replaying it again with the wife as it's just that good. Highly recommended game and the trophy list is mostly manageable too so long as you save before anything major. #279 Theatrhythm Final Bar Line August 24, 2023 (6:00 PM) When I was younger, I used to import the Final Fantasy soundtracks and listen to them in the car. The music for this series was just so good and the memories the music brought up of playing these games still holds true today. This is an absolutely amazing collection of so many songs from the series and includes so many different eclectic things in the series like Mystic Quest or FF7 Advent Children. There's a ton of music here and, if you pick up the DLC, you can play through even more great songs from other Square games like Nier, Chrono Trigger/Cross, the different SaGa/Mana games and Xenogears. There's a bit of favoritism here (FF14 got 34 songs while others got 10-15) and I'm not a fan of them locking some of the best songs behind the deluxe paywall (To Zanarkand, FF10-2's title theme, Eyes on Me, etc) but I do understand some of them were due to licensing out the original artist. I also wish they had included more of the remake music from the first three titles, such as the Origins version of FF2's world map theme or the new version of the Chaos Temple instead of having mostly NES chiptunes. Still, there's an overwhelming amount of content here and a ton of great songs. The gameplay is great too as there are tons of quests and characters to level up. I'll be continuing to play and enjoy this for a long time (as it's great to play and zone out to the music), especially with several more great songs coming out in the future. Great game and worth picking up. #280 Powerwash Simulator (PS4) August 25, 2023 (5:47 PM) This game is a great game to play if you just want to relax and take your mind off things for a while. My wife and I love to play this on the weekends together and it's very soothing to clean a whole messy area. Some of the trophies are a bit of a pain, such as the gold medal trophies, but for the most part this is a great, relaxing game to unwind with. There's even unexpected cross over stuff such as Spongebob, Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider that is a lot of fun. And with Back to the Future coming out soon, I'm gonna definitely hop back into this one. Great game, highly recommended. Platinums 281-290 Spoiler TBA Platinums 291-300 Spoiler TBA 100% Completions 1-10 Spoiler #1 Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse Episode 1: The Penal Zone October 31, 2010 (2:41 AM) My first completion. I really loved the old Telltale games back when they were more of a point and click adventure style and Sam & Max was probably my favorite of the early seasons. Having played the first two seasons on Xbox coupled with the promotion they were running where purchase of this season came with a free copy of Braid and I was soon downloading this game. I really liked the switch to free roam controls and the paranormal humor this one had (though the previous seasons had plenty of it too). The first episode was a tad bit dry but it was still a fun and easy completion. #2 Sly Minigames June 28, 2011 (11:07 PM) An incredibly easy completion that came bundled with three excellent Sly Cooper titles. Having gotten a Playstation Move for Christmas and no real games to use it with, I eventually tried it out with the minigames that came with the collection. And while they were fun, they were just that: minigames. Fun little time wasters. Not entirely sure why they included a separate trophy list for them though. #3 Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 2: The Siege of Spinner Cay July 2, 2011 (2:16 PM) I really enjoy the Monkey Island series. They're humorous and lots of fun. And after playing the two remakes on Xbox, I started playing through the new series by Telltale. For some reason, however, I stopped (and didn't finish episode 1 until recently). It was pretty fun and it was in the same vein as the previous games but I got sidetracked before I finished the last three games. I'll have to revisit them eventually. #4 Back to the Future Episode 1: It's About Time October 30, 2011 (2:44 AM) I've always been a huge fan of Back to the Future as long as I can remember. I've seen the movies so many times I've practically got the lines memorized. So naturally, when they announced a "sequel" game, I immediately pre-ordered. And unlike LJN's game, this one is awesome and nails the feel of the movies (though it can be a bit slow paced at times). Tom Wilson's absence threw me off (I'm glad they brought him onboard for the PS4 version) but the story of this one is intriguing and the prohibition era and young Doc concepts are pretty awesome. #5 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days September 17, 2013 (12:50 AM) I had just beaten this game on DS prior to the release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 so revisiting it in HD movie form was pretty awesome. I really wish they had included this as a playable game but just the inclusion into the collection is nice. However, I was very disappointed that some of the story was missing as it was told either in the worlds or in battle and was not included in the cutscenes. Still, it's a pretty sad, touching story. #6 Welcome Park September 25, 2013 (5:13 PM) This was a pretty cool collection of minigames that showed off the Vita's features. Pretty easy and not much else to say other than it's bundled with pretty much every Vita. #7 Doom Classic Complete January 9, 2014 (10:34 PM) A lot of people disliked this port but I loved every second of it. You get Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Master Levels and the two Final Doom packs all in one collection and replaying all of these games was fantastic. Sure Master Levels was a bit wonky in this game (since the skyboxes were changed due to them all being one big pack) but I used to love Doom so to have all of Classic Doom in one spot was epic. Final Doom was a lot harder than I remember it being too. #8 Dragon Fantasy Book I January 15, 2014 (12:06 PM) This game was a hilarious parody of several old school RPGs, all in an 8 bit style reminiscent of them. I loved playing as the middle aged Ogden or pickpocketing people in the third act. I especially liked the bonus fourth episode that took place in Minecraft world. Still, as much fun as it was, the game was very short. I still have to go back and finish Book II though. #9 Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded December 13, 2014 (11:19 PM) Of all the 2.5 games in the collection, this one was the one I was least looking forward to. The story to me was a rehash of Kingdom Hearts 1 (which they were returning to yet again) and offered very little to the franchise. It's only real saving grace was the different gameplay styles but those were absent since this was HD cutscenes. Still, they added a bit to it and it was an interesting watch but definitely my least favorite Kingdom Hearts game. #10 Octodad: Dadliest Catch (PS4) December 30, 2014 (2:05 PM) After finally connecting to PSN after the outage, one of the first things I did was purchase this game as I really enjoyed it on PC. It was very humorous in the old school sitcom kind of way and even though it was very tricky getting through the game, it was just as hilarious and fun as the first time I played it on PC. Weird game but awesome. 100% Completions 11-20 Spoiler #11 Home (PS4) February 21, 2015 (2:33 PM) This one advertised itself as being a new kind of interactive horror game but truthfully, it felt more like one of those old Choose Your Own Adventure books. Unfortunately, this took away any kind of horror element for me, especially when the game was asking me to confirm the horror elements. While the story itself was interesting, it was a super easy completion and the gameplay was meh. #12 Sonic the Fighters June 26, 2015 (10:22 PM) When I bought Sonic Gems Collection on the Gamecube, this was one of the rather fun oddities contained within. A Sonic arcade fighting game? Unfortunately, a lot of the characters were filler and the control was kind of sloppy but it was still a rather curious oddity. So when it was rereleased on PSN, I picked it up rather quickly (being a big Sonic fan) and was somewhat surprised at how easy this completion was, requiring only one playthrough and only a few oddball trophies, most of which you could unlock on the playthrough. Still, it was interesting to see this game back in the spotlight. #13 Back to the Future Episode 2: Get Tannen October 2, 2015 (2:00 AM) Like many big fans of Back to the Future, I was reliving Doc and Marty's adventures in October of 2015 in preparation for October 21, 2015, which fans will recognize as the date in the future Marty and Doc Brown travel in time to. Besides the 30th anniversary trilogy set I got myself, I also went back to the game to see how Telltale imagined Marty's adventures continuing after the third movie. The first game was pretty awesome and set up this episode quite a bit. I really liked the BTTF2 style alternate future this game laid out, it was quite interesting and the whole bit with the cop in the bar was really amusing and something I wondered about during the trilogy. #14 Back to the Future Episode 3: Citizen Brown October 2, 2015 (3:09 PM) I really liked this episode a lot. It featured the return of the original Jennifer Parker reprising her role and the additional, Orwellian alternate timeline held my interest quite a bit. It was amusing seeing Edna's role expand from an amusing do-gooder to her role in this episode and seeing how it affected Doc's life and the life of Hill Valley residents overall. I liked that deep down, despite everything that had happened, the old Doc was still very much present and this was probably my favorite of the series (though five is also very good). #15 Back to the Future Episode 4: Double Visions October 2, 2015 (5:52 PM) This was another great episode (this may very well be my favorite of the Telltale games especially since I'm a huge BTTF fan) and it provided a very interesting dilemma especially near the end. Alternate Doc's decision to help Marty was very cool though I did feel a bit sad trying to complete my mission. Still, it left me curious to what the conclusion of the series would be like. #16 Back to the Future Episode 5: Outatime October 2, 2015 (8:08 PM) An awesome conclusion to an awesome series. Having Michael J Fox cameo was very awesome and I loved the throwback to BTTF3, even if they didn't show Mad Dog directly. Though to be honest I wasn't a huge fan of the comedic way it ended, this episode really wrapped things up in an enjoyable way and I loved the twist involving the characters. In a way, it really does feel like BTTF4 thematically and after all these years, I was extremely impressed that it ended up being done so well. #17 Monopoly Family Fun Pack January 29, 2016 (3:33 AM) I am a huge fan of board and trivia games and I am usually a big fan of console ports, predominately because it eliminates a lot of the mess and the colloquial rulesets people invent (predominately to avoid arguments). I especially love the Monopoly ports because in a lot of them, you can simply save and resume playing another time, which is ideal as Monopoly tends to take a fairly long time to get through. And with this pack containing three different ways to play, I very much enjoyed it. Funnily enough, I had someone ask me for help after beginning this game (he saw me on a recent trophy earners list) and I ended up playing this game with him and earning some trophies together. #18 Monopoly Plus January 29, 2016 (11:23 PM) I also around this time picked up the Hasbro Fun Pack, which included Monopoly Plus, Risk, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit and being on a Monopoly kick, started with Monopoly Plus. To be fair, this game was also included in the Monopoly Family Fun Pack but this release had a separate list of trophies. Still the same awesome game, which is pretty much just a rehash of Monopoly Streets from the 7th gen, but I do wish that they had included the "custom board" option from the old school PC port. That was an incredible feature as we played and bought properties close to us or made our own unlicensed boards based off our favorite properties. #19 Sonic the Hedgehog March 6, 2016 (10:22 PM) No, not THAT one, the good one from the Sega Genesis. This was one of my favorites growing up and I still enjoy playing through this game every so often. While I'm not a fan of the Labyrinth Zone (and laughed pretty hard when Sonic himself complained about it in Lego Dimensions), this is still a really fun game though if you're looking to play it I recommend either picking up Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection or Sonic Generations as both games come with this game and more. It does take a second to realize you can't spin dash though but revisiting Star Light Zone and Marble Zone is epic (Green Hill Zone has been done a little too much for my tastes). #20 Arcade Archives: Double Dragon August 1, 2016 (8:38 PM) This is by far one of the easiest trophy lists I've ever played and you can tell the people who ported this were more on the arcade emulation side. I mean, trophies for opening the options menu or changing your display settings? To be fair, I picked this game up because I love Double Dragon especially the arcade port but I managed to get all the trophies in 16 minutes which is somewhat shocking. I'm curious as to why they didn't port over the Double Dragon trilogy release, which was released on Steam and contained all three arcade games in one bundle. Still, this is a really fun game to play with a friend and a super easy completion. 100% Completions 21-30 Spoiler #21 Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space Episode 1: Ice Station Santa December 18, 2016 (12:49 AM) Somewhat surprisingly, Telltale went back and released several of their old games to PS3 with the new Sam & Max engine (being able to control the characters instead of pointing and clicking) and among them were Strong Bad CG4AP and Sam & Max season 2 (season one never made it over). There was a pretty big sale around this time too and the second season ended up being really cheap so I figured "why not"? The second season really explored a lot of fun topics and had a kind of twilight zone feel to it (albeit not as much as season 3). This episode, for example, has you trying to take down a rogue Santa Claus who's rampaging at the north pole. I always liked Sam & Max for that and it's a shame they're not doing any more of them for the foreseeable future. #22 Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space Episode 2: Moai Better Blues January 13, 2017 (10:47 PM) This episode was equally hilarious as the first and I liked the feel of it a bit more. After calming Santa, you're attacked by a giant Bermuda Triangle and have to pair up with Glenn Miller and Amelia Earnheart, both of whom are babies (due to drinking too much fountain of youth water) to solve the case. Seriously, there's not many games that venture where Sam & Max go but I really liked this episode. #23 Strong Bad's CG4AP Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner March 30, 2017 (6:09 PM) This was the first ever Telltale game I played and I really enjoyed it. Admittingly, I grew up with point and click adventures so it naturally drew me in to see a modern one. But this one also was fun as I used to watch Strong Bad back in high school and it was a blast from the past (my ex used to sing his techno song that can be activated by flicking the rave switch all the time). The first episode is a little weak but it's still a great way to start the series. It does answer a question a lot of fans had been pondering though: why not just do something about Homestar? #24 Strong Bad's CG4AP Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free March 31, 2017 (2:09 PM) This and episode five are my favorites in the series. I love the aspect of everyone forming their own country and they were all hilariously bad. Pom Pom's techno club country as well as Strong Mad's "Country" all had me cracking up. The risk-esque minigame at the end was also very funny. Overall a great episode. #25 Strong Bad's CG4AP Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands April 18, 2017 (3:21 PM) This episode is also pretty good and was pretty hilarious how the jabbed fun at 80s rockstars. Having to sabotage your own terrible set to win was interesting too and listening to Homestar sing a corny love ballad or Strong Mad sing about his face made me laugh. Still, it was a bit more of the same. #26 Strong Bad's CG4AP Episode 4: Dangeresque 3 April 20, 2017 (8:27 PM) I really loved the theme of this episode, being a parody of old spy movies, but at the same time it frustrated me to no end as I had to complete this game three times because of all the missables. How am I supposed to know that Pom Pom's bubble sounds constitute a reference? Still, it had a lot of amusing parts to it, such as the "extremely different" locations you had to visit or all the fake cinematography (such as Strong Mad running in place after a car). #27 Strong Bad's CG4AP Episode 5: 8 Bit is Enough May 6, 2017 (9:32 PM) This was a really fun way to end the series, especially with Trogdor making a somewhat appearance and the throwback to all the different games you played in previous episodes (and King's Quest). I loved the feel of this episode and the humor (replacing a shiny pixel trinket with scorpion bait because they look the same on old school Atari), especially since I am a big retro gamer. Hopefully they'll revisit this series but they've probably outgrown it. #28 Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal August 15, 2017 (3:35 PM) After playing a bunch of old Telltale games, I decided to go back and revisit some of the other ones, if nothing else than to mop up a few easy completions. I forgot how humorous this title was, having to steal a pirate boat by simply occupying it (since it can't go anywhere), the way Guybrush tries to throw things at the captain, the "action figure" collector there was a lot of humor in this one and I really enjoyed revisiting it. Though it did make me want to finish off another series... #29 Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun Mak September 1, 2017 (9:41 AM) Since I had revisited Sam & Max season two recently and playing Monkey Island reminded me of this series, I decided to finish off this series starting with this episode. The whole concept was interesting but I didn't really like having to jump around the story so much. One second, we'd be finding the toybox, the next on the way, the next we're at home with it. Still, it had a lot of humor in it (such as 'falling' for the moleman's daughter) and the ending was somewhat clever, even if it was a cliffhanger ending. #30 Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse Episode 3: They Stole Max's Brain! October 2, 2017 (6:53 PM) I really liked the Noir style parody and how confused everyone was when Sam was pulling it off. Unfortunately, it kind of peters out about a quarter of the way through and turns into a more traditional Sam & Max style. Still, it was another humorous episode and having Sammun-Mak return to the living was pretty hilarious too, especially seeing him ban pretty much everything in a modern day old egypt. 100% Completions 31-40 Spoiler #31 Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse Episode 4: Beyond the Alley of the Dolls October 2, 2017 (10:11 PM) Another hilarious episode from the creators of Sam & Max. The zombie apocalypse parody was pretty humorous, especially the jabs at Sam's body (and the eventual backpedal after realizing it's directed towards him as well). The final confrontation was pretty shocking and hilarious as well and meeting the real Yog-Sogoth was interesting, especially the banter between him and Papierwaite. #32 Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse Episode 5: The City That Dares Not Sleep October 4, 2017 (3:58 PM) Easily my favorite of the season and I was actually getting slightly choked up too. There was a lot of great humor in this one, Momma Bosco was pretty funny and all the random Max heads and stuff inside of his giant body was very humorous. Sad that there will likely be no more Sam & Max in the future unless they get a high demand or someone else licenses it though. #33 The Walking Dead: Season 2 (PS4) December 14, 2017 (9:26 PM) I have yet to play Season 3, but if it's as good as Season 2 was, then I'll be itching to play it! This season really upped the ante I felt and replaying it showed me how much more the choices impacted the story this time around. My wife especially loved the game, especially the twist thrown at us in the second episode and was devastated near the end of the season, especially after realizing that there were numerous different endings this time around. Still, it was a great story thematically and we both really enjoyed it. #34 Battle Trivia Knockout December 15, 2017 (7:46 PM) Truth be told, I purchased this mainly because I love trivia games. However, I wasn't a huge fan of it and shelved it, only realizing later that the trophies were simplistic and easy. However, while looking for games to complete my "Twelve Days of Christmas" challenge on Truetrophies, this one popped up. After getting most of the trophies on one run, I decided to take the extra 15 minutes to complete it. Overall, still kind of a meh game though (I much prefer Jackbox). #35 Adam's Venture Chronicles (PS3) August 11, 2018 (3:24 PM) Been a while since I got a 100%! This one has been sitting on my hard drive and it's a knock off Uncharted clone with three minisodes compiled into one game. Honestly, the game was somewhat fun but I didn't like the one dimensional characters (all of Adam's forced and misogynistic humor, Evelyn being the discredited sidekick, the villain being evil for the sake of being evil) and the puzzles were either WAY too easy or difficult. I also felt like they kept setting up cool stories with no real payout or explanation (ooh look, the Garden of Eden you've been searching for, watch it blow up before you even go in!). Still, it wasn't unplayable (though watching Adam climb an invisible ladder was hilarious). #36 Randal's Monday September 4, 2018 (7:20 PM) To be truthful, I was really enjoying playing old school adventure games and this one peaked my interest when I purchased it a while ago. It wasn't until I finished it that I actually realized it didn't have a platinum but it was a great ride and I loved this game a lot. There are SO many references in this game it's almost impossible to count. From streets named after classic adventure games and developers to posters of classic movies and games, I enjoyed the story a lot and laughed at all the constant references. I highly recommend this one. #37 Personality and Psychology Premium May 24, 2019 (1:33 AM) When I saw this app on the double discounts sale, I was extremely intrigued. A psychology app that analyzes you? I truly wasn't expecting it to have trophies either which was a nice surprise. Irregardless, this app is kind of like the old "tickle" website where you take a short quiz like "Am I happy?" or "Do I like change?" and for that reason it's more for fun than true psychology. It has "serious" quizzes like "Are you Confident" or "Are you Ambitious?" and fun ones such as filling in blanks to find your true love or see what your past life was. It even lets you compare results with other players if you want as well as do multiplayer quizzes and compare results. Definitely a cool little app I enjoyed! #38 Astrology and Horoscope Premium May 31, 2019 (1:36 PM) After enjoying the Psychology app made by the same people, I was keen to try the other ones, which were also on sale during the double discounts. This one was interesting but not nearly as good to be fair. My wife and I do have an interest in astrology and it was funny to pair up signs of people we know or read more about ourselves and our horoscopes. Kind of cool but I definitely enjoyed the previous one more. #39 Palm Reading Premium May 31, 2019 (2:11 PM) This one is simply strange. I was curious how this worked but essentially it asks you to recreate your hand. Personally, it didn't seem to match up perfectly with my hand and I had trouble distinguishing details between options on some of them. Honestly if this were given a bit more effort or had a camera scan option I think it would have been cooler. But honestly, because it was difficult to distinguish and the relative obscurity of the analysis I wasn't a big fan of this one. Get the others instead. #40 Fighting Vipers June 14, 2019 (12:15 PM) This came out a few years ago and I ended up testing the game when I initially tried out PS Now back in 2017 due to the easy completion (and the fact that I liked Sonic the Fighters, which uses the engine from this game). However, due to major problems I had with the service, mainly due to my internet and the original PS4 wireless not supporting AC connections, I could barely play this one. So to test out getting the subscription again, I fired this one up only to find the game played extremely well this go around. The game itself is kind of fun with a unique armor break system and being able to destroy walls but it feels sluggish and slow. Still, it's pretty fun to play with some buddies and to get a very easy completion. 100% Completions 41-50 Spoiler #41 Tarot Readings Premium June 25, 2019 (7:44 PM) After really enjoying the Psychology app from Crazysoft, I picked up the other three. Astrology was pretty cool and Palm Reading was very awkward with having to redraw your hand on screen. This one is actually pretty cool as it lets you ask questions and gives you a tarot reading afterwards to answer the different facets of the question (which you can e-mail or revisit later). I would have completed this much earlier if it weren't for the 5 different day trophy I kept forgetting about but if you're into this kind of stuff the app is pretty cool. #42 Woodle Tree Adventures November 28, 2019 (10:15 PM) To be honest I don't know what to say about this game. It was a simplistic "find the collectables" adventure/platformer with generic art but in another way it was pretty enjoyable overall. It won't wow you with it's performance and it doesn't do anything you haven't seen a hundred times before but it's great for beginners and a fun way to unwind. Still wish it had a plat but the sequel apparently does! I may have to pick it up when it goes on sale. #43 Quiplash (PS4) December 6, 2019 (12:41 AM) This game is included in Jackbox Party Pack 2 with the DLC but still, it was $2 on sale and I really enjoy Quiplash and wasn't 100% it was the same. This game really helped me out with TT's 12 Days of Christmas challenge though. Definitely worth it 100%, fantastic game but if it's not on sale, I recommend picking up JPP2 so you get Earwax, Bidiots, Fibbage 2 and Bomb Squad as well. #44 Jackbox Party Pack 3 January 24, 2020 (2:59 PM) I love the Jackbox games and three was one of my favorites in the series. I really enjoyed the improved Quiplash 2, Trivia Murder Party is a unique twist on trivia, Fakin' It was hilarious and one of our favorites and the other two were OK. Still, you can't go wrong with this pack and I still play it regularly with family and friends. It also has some of my rarest trophies despite being incredibly easy to obtain. I am working on a guide for this game which will hopefully be published soon but it's highly recommended as is the rest of the series. #45 Doom 64 March 20, 2020 (3:24 PM) As someone who collects Nintendo 64 games and hardware and someone who loves Doom, I'm extremely surprised I never played this one. And it's an amazing game. I really enjoy this, it's like Classic Doom with slight upgrades like map alteration and an awesome new gun. Very easy completion as well if you use passwords. I'll definitely be replaying this one more. #46 Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD (PS3) April 22, 2020 (12:29 AM) It's amazing how much better this game looks on PS3 than on PS4! Plus I love that ammo pools in stacks larger than 255. With this game, I figured I'd use the knowledge I had acquired with the PS4 version while I still had it fresh in my mind and fired this version up too. I honestly never thought I'd complete it this fast though. It only took me two tries to get the speedrun (the first one Tyrant killed me by knocking me into the flames very shortly before the save point) with the second being a consecutive run (no reloads necessary). Battle Game seemed easier this time too! It only took me two tries with Claire A, once with Claire B, twice with Chris, twice with Steve and once with Wesker, which is a heck of a lot better than I did on PS4 (though I'm not sure if the framerate was smoother on this one but I do know the load times helped me). Great game and honestly, this is the version I will replay in the future because of the better graphics and gameplay. Onto RE4! #47 Jigsaw Solace May 20, 2020 (10:07 AM) This was the same game as above but without a platinum. Shuffle pieces to complete the puzzle. Not recommended unless you're looking for a simple completion. #48 Home (Vita) August 30, 2020 (4:08 PM) I got this on PS4 back in 2014 when I first got one and I got the Vita version with it but for some weird reason I didn't complete it. Even five years later, it's not a game I recommend. The choose your own adventure style gameplay doesn't work very well in a horror scenario as "did I find a body" takes the scariness out. Still, this was the last version and it's not terrible, just not recommended. #49 Jackbox Party Pack 2 (PS4) October 16, 2020 (11:51 PM) My wife and I spent countless hours playing this with family and friends since we first discovered it in 2017 and it's still a blast today. Nearly all of these games are hilarious and worth playing with your buddies but Quiplash and Fibbage have better sequels. Earwax is a hilarious audio version of Apples to Apples and Bidiots was always a hilarious take on a drawing game. However, Bomb Squad plays like a watered down Keep Talking and No One Explodes and it tended to stress us all out trying to figure out how to disarm the bombs. My final two trophies were for this game and even playing single player and pausing to stop the timer, I still would often fail and blow up, having to start over. Still, after several hours and many hand drawn instructions later, I managed to finally get the final two trophies and complete this game. We will definitely be playing some of these games in the future though. #50 Jackbox Party Pack 7 October 18, 2020 (11:40 AM) Every year my family and I eagerly await the new Jackbox and this one has got to be one of our favorites. Usually, we play all the games and have one or two favorites that we really enjoy. But this one, pretty much every game is hilarious and awesome. Our favorites have got to be Devils in the Details and Talking Points. Some of the actions you do are hilarious and we always end up laughing as one of us creates havoc from acting out. Talking Points usually makes us all laugh as we scramble to talk about a wacky topic and have a weird random picture pop up. But honestly, Quiplash is an old favorite, Champ'd Up is a really hilarious game that has taken a few wrong turns for us and Blather Round makes us laugh, especially when we guess nonsensical topics like "Miley Cyrus" for an old book character, etc. This one is an awesome pack and definitely one we will return to over and over. 100% Completions 51-60 Spoiler #51 Daytona USA February 12, 2021 (7:43 PM) On the rare occasions that my Dad and I would go to the arcades (usually when we went to casinos), we would play this game together. My Dad wasn't a huge gamer so the games we played together were a select few but this one always stood out to me as I wasn't a huge Daytona or Nascar fan. Still, the game was a ton of fun and crashing each other into walls as we scrambled to the finish line will always be a treasured memory of mine. This port is an excellent port that is fun and the trophy list is a super easy completion (it took me roughly 40 minutes and most of that was hitting cones for the final trophy). I do wish there was a bit more to this game now that I have a chance to play it more but it's still a classic and a fun game worth playing. #52 Castlevania: Anniversary Collection October 2, 2021 (11:52 AM) I am super glad this collection came out, it's so much fun. I love Castlevania old school and new. I mainly played through this collection on Switch with my NES controllers (with the exception of Super Castlevania 4) where I played through each of them and loved each one that didn't wasn't named "Adventure" (though 3 is still unfairly hard, glad they included the easier Famicom version). To be completely honest, I used passwords to clear each of these games (except Adventure) but this collection is still worth the play through if you've never played any of these games. Also glad that they finally released the Famicom Kid Dracula in English. This goes perfect with the Fall/October mood I've been in lately and had a blast going through them and finishing up the collection (though it should have had a platinum). I'll have to play Advance collection soon but I hope they do more collections (I'd love to have the DS games as well as some of the odd games out like Chronicles, Vampire Killer MSX and Legends) along with a new game. #53 Lego Builder's Journey (PS5) April 25, 2022 (11:27 PM) This was a release I was surprised to see as this has been out on Switch for over a year. However, when playing through Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, I saw that this one had been released on PS4/PS5 and, being curious about the game, decided to get it and check it out. While it's not like the other Lego games (nowhere close), it's still an interesting unique puzzle game that tasks you with building a path for your Lego father/son. The storyline was kind of unique too but might be a bit too ambiguous to some. Some of the puzzles frustrated me a bit but for the most part, this was a fun and unique game with an easy completion. Still wish it had a platinum but I'll likely replay the PS4 version soon to get the double completion. #54 Personality and Psychology Premium (PS5) April 26, 2022 (12:43 AM) I really enjoyed the PS4 version of this so when I saw it got a free PS5 upgrade I was in. Replaying the tests is kind of surreal and some of them are a bit wacky but for the most part, this is a unique and fun game and one that's a blast to play with friends (it does include a multiplayer mode to see how much you differ). #55 Palm Reading Premium (PS5) April 26, 2022 (2:01 PM) Another free PS5 upgrade. This one I'm not as interested in as the others but it was a super easy completion and free so why not. Still, it's somewhat interesting to see what your palm supposedly says about you. #56 Astrology and Horoscope Premium (PS5) April 26, 2022 (2:27 PM) Another free PS5 upgrade. This one is one I really enjoy though as I'm somewhat interested in Astrology and horoscopes so it was cool to read some of the information. However, I ran into a very interesting trophy glitch here. Because I didn't realize there was a fourth page to the match up compatibility tester, the trophy for seeing a match up did not unlock. However, I thought it did so I tested roughly six more compatibility and got frustrated that trophy didn't unlock either. So I tried again and pressed forward until it got to the fourth page and for some reason, it unlocked the five trophy without the single one. After exiting out and trying again, it finally unlocked. But it's weird that the single trophy didn't unlock until I did it again (I don't know why I'm prone to trophy glitches on super easy trophies, see my Mafia 1 post on how the first in game story trophy didn't unlock due to trophy corruption). #57 Tarot Readings Premium (PS5) May 15, 2022 (12:23 AM) Another free PS5 upgrade I didn't realize was there. This one I'm not super interested in but its still kind of interesting to read your predictions and see how you fare. There is an annoying 5 day trophy on this (you can skip ahead with the clock but I didn't feel like doing it) so that makes it harder than the others but still very easy trophy list. Thankfully, this one didn't glitch like the others did. #58 Discovery June 13, 2022 (10:17 AM) This game seemed really cool at first when I saw it on the Playstation store. Sure, it's an obvious Minecraft rip off but it took place on alien worlds and seemed to be a bit smoother than Minecraft. However, after starting the game up, I realized it was just 10 blocks and no real direction. Definitely a rip off if you're considering this game. There are also only 4 trophies with 1 being a multiplayer trophy (which I boosted with the wife today) but just pick up Minecraft if that's what you're interested in. This is just a cheap knock off in comparison. #59 Lego Brawls (PS5) May 21, 2023 (7:10 PM) When this game came out I remember being somewhat curious. But then the price ended up being $40 and that was enough to keep me away from this game for a while. When it finally became a reasonable price (with actual price cuts and a discount), I finally bit the bullet and figured I'd try it due to loving other Lego games. But to be honest, this one was pretty lackluster. Sure, you can create your characters how you see fit and battle in smash bros style gameplay but the game is just mediocre and bland in that regard. There's no cool special moves, no cool licensed characters and the gameplay is bland and without any sort of personality or depth. Sure, this may be fun for the youngest of players but I feel like even then you could get a similar experience free roaming in one of the many other Lego games on the system, such as the newly released Skywalker Saga. At least then when you're done beating each other up you could explore or do levels. Not recommended but a super easy completion if you're interested. #60 Lego Brawls (PS4) May 21, 2023 (7:29 PM) Crossbuy version. Figured I'd get the double completion while I was at it. As you can tell by my completion time compared to the previous one, it took me 19 minutes to complete the trophy list. Still not a fun version. 100% Completions 61-70 Spoiler TBA 100% Completions 71-80 Spoiler TBA 100% Completions 81-90 Spoiler TBA 100% Completions 91-100 Spoiler TBA Current Gaming Projects Spoiler PS5 Powerwash Simulator: A great game to zone out to and relax. BTTF trophies are fun. Waiting on this one until the patch is fixed so I can earn the trophies again. Hogwarts Legacy: So far this is a fun open world game to explore. Liking the setting and the gameplay. I'm playing it here and there at the moment. Metal Gear Solid: Despite everything, it's a lot of fun replaying MGS/VR Missions as well as finally trying Integral on console. I'm almost done with trophies just need the Fox rank and the bandana really. Star Ocean: The Second Story R: One of my all time favorite RPGs on PS1. I'm playing this intermittently as I find the time to focus on it. PS4 Assassin's Creed Mirage: It's OK. It's Assassin's Creed. ⭐Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune: Got Scarlet for my switch and enjoyed it enough to pick up for the PS4. It's a fun game to zone out to after work and my collection/completion itch gets scratched by checking off collecting all the items. Yakuza 3 Remastered: Beat the game. Working on minigame progress at the moment so i can wrap up the plat. Yakuza 5 Remastered: Currently playing through this game with the wife! I'm on the third chapter of the third part at the moment but I'm playing this mainly with the wife. PS3 Final Fantasy XIII-2: Beat FF13! Currently working on this one when I'm not too fried to concentrate on it. Lego Batman 2: I started this so I could zone out and just play something without thinking too hard on it. So far I'm about a third through the story mode. Vita Assassin's Creed III Liberation: Wrapped up the multiplayer trophies so I can get the double plat for this one (and hopefully not have it freeze every 15 seconds!) Superdimension Neptunia: Wow I didn't know what this game would be but a time traveling game with the rebirth engine is awesome. I hope this one stays as fun as it seems. Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus: Beat one school, working on the next. Also working on character challenges too. Almost wrapped them up. ⏩Games next in line Spoiler PS5 Resident Evil 8: Once I finish the PS4 version, I will likely replay it on PS5. Live a Live: Once I wrap up the FF pixel remasters, this is definitely next on the list. I loved this game on Switch so I'm looking forward to getting all the trophies! PS4 Assassin's Creed 4: Just beat AC Origins. I wanna go back and try to plat this one now that I've done all the "hard" trophies. Atelier Sophie: After Ryza 3, I will start either this or Nelke. Not sure which yet. Atelier Sophie 2: Picked this up. Want to finish Sophie first though. Borderlands 2: I'm playing through the PS3 version atm. Will start the PS4 version once I complete that version (and import my character). Nelke: After Ryza 3, I will either start this or Sophie. Not sure which yet. Resident Evil Revelations: Playing 6 is kinda boring but I'm looking forward to playing this when I'm done with 6. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition: I want to wrap this one up so I'll probably be playing this one soon. Already grinded out multiplayer just gotta finish the story. Yakuza 6: Getting close to beating Yakuza 5. This is next. PS3 Atelier Shallie: Currently enjoying Escha & Logy. Once I wrap up the plat for it, I'll be coming back for this one! Lightning Returns: I finally finished FF13 and I'm on FF13-2. Once I finish that I'll start the last one. Vita Danganronpa 2: Never finished this one. Wanna fire it up and finish it so I can play 3. Hyperdimension PP/Hyperdevotion Noire: Once I finish Superdimension, it'll be onto the next Neptune game! Senran Kagura: Wow, I did not expect to really enjoy the first game on PS4. The story was surprisingly good for an ecchi game! Irregardless, I want to play more. ?Games on the Backburner Spoiler PS5 Ape Escape: Playing this intermittently but only really tried it to see how PS1 games ran. Back 4 Blood: Shelved it cause solo play got you nothing. Thankfully, a new update added solo play but I haven't gone back to it yet. Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope: Beat the game with the wife and wow that was an interesting twist! I liked this one much better than Man of Medan. Shelved for now. Demon's Souls: Got frustrated at the bridge and shelved it. Dead by Daylight: No WAY am I getting 100% trophies but this game is a lot of fun so I don't care. Just playing matches here and there and enjoying. Diablo 2 Remastered: Love this remaster but this is shelved for the time being as we are playing it on Switch (that way my wife can play along with me). Diablo IV: This one is turning out to be a lot better than I expected (that is...when I can get on and play...). Playing this one intermittently. Disney Dreamlight Valley: Geez, what a hard trophy list. So far this game is a blast but I can see this being insane to play through. Shelved until updates happen. Elden Ring: Like most souls games, I play for a while and burn out which is happening here. I'm still enjoying but it gets frustrating at times. Elder Scrolls Online: Wow, one of my glitched hidden games got a PS5 upgrade and it's visible again! (Not that my one trophy on PS4 is worth showing). Still, I play this one for fun a lot. No way I'd ever complete the game but still. Far Cry 6: Beat the game and most of the challenges. Decided to shelve it until DLC came out. Most if it is out now. Final Fantasy XIV: Wow, the PS5 trophy list took out ALL the stops! This is another PS4 game I can show off now cause the PS4 version is glitched hidden. Fun game but tough trophies. Playing this one intermittently. God of War Ragnarok: The final chapter is out! I'm about halfway through. It's not holding my interest as much as I thought though. Grand Theft Auto Vice City: Got the Godfather trophy that took me a week last time I played this! Not sure if I want to continue or wait till I'm done with GTA3 though. Gran Turismo 7: Fun game but not a fan of microtransactions. Hopefully the message gets across. Neptunia Reverse: Beat it already and got both endings. Just need to grind to 999 and figure out how to catch everything in the fishing game! Returnal: I got this with my PS5 and I dig the intro so far but I will probably put this to the side until I can invest more into it. Return to Monkey Island: One of my all time favorite series. I finally bit the bullet on this one after feeling a bit burned by the new art style but I'm really digging it so far. Sonic Frontiers: So far it's interesting. Open world Sonic feels a bit weird but I'm looking forward to when the game opens up. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life: The last time I played this in 2012, I had a weird love hate relationship with this game. I really liked a lot about it but it burnt me way out and I felt like it dragged on at times. I'm really eager to give it another fair shot with the remake and it's been a lot of fun so far! Temtem: Wow, a unique twist on the Pokemon formula! Very cool but not very far. The Quarry: Another Until Dawn/Dark Pictures game. My wife loves playing these with me so I'm saving that for when we're together. PS4 Assassin's Creed 4: For some reason I had to get the online done as it kept bugging me. Online is done so I can focus on AC3 now. Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Waited too long on this one and now I've forgotten the controls. Gonna have to reinvest in this one before I jump back in. Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Was just exploring and got sidetracked. Would love to pick this back up and explore but that might be fore another time. Atelier Ayesha DX: Love this redone version but playing other games atm. Atelier Rorona DX: I was always worried about this game cause I kept hearing how hard it was. But after playing through most of it on Switch, I love it. I'm currently on Assignment 2 on PS4. Atelier Ryza 3: Ryza 3 is out and I loved the first two so I'm playing through this one. Very fun so far. Baldur's Gate: One Bioware game at a time. Bastion: Beat this game once but shelved it for FFX. I'll likely come back to this one to wrap up the plat. BDSM: Fun, ridiculous game but I got other ones I'm enjoying more at the moment. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night: Great SOTN successor but I haven't played it in a while. Bubsy: Paws of Fire: Basically Bubsy Trip Runner. It's meh. Kind of boring to be honest but not horrible. Bus Simulator 21: Got it because I love American Truck Sim. It's fun and it's good to unwind with. Car Mechanic Simulator: I played this on PC expecting to suck with my horrible knowledge of cars but I did pretty well and it was a lot of fun. Decided to download this since its on PS Now. Car Mechanic Simulator 2021: I love these games on PC and this was on sale. It's a great game to wind down and enjoy. Catherine: Full Body Edition: Holy crap this game was amazing. Loved it and will eventually go back for more runs but not now. Chimparty: This one was OK, mainly play with family but they don't seem too interested in this one. It's meh. I'll likely revisit it later. Chrono Cross: I had such a love/hate relationship with this game I didn't play it for nearly 15 years. However, I'm loving replaying this remaster. Been on hold for a minute cause my wife has been off work for nearly a month and I don't want to spoil her on it. Crash Trilogy: I love playing these and I really want to continue it but I've got a few too many games on my plate at the moment. I'll eventually play these again soon though. Crash Team Racing: What a fun remake! It's definitely hard but I enjoy playing this one with my niece. Cyanide & Happiness: Freakocalypse: I had to get this. I love Cyanide and Happiness. So far it's funny but not to the level I was hoping it would be. Still, a lot of fun so far. Cyberpunk 2077: I'm gonna wait for a few more patches to come out. Dark Souls Remastered: Restarted this one as "Bubble Giggles" the happy go lucky undead. I can't remember where I am at the moment so it's shelved. Dark Pictures: Man of Medan: Beat it twice and I'm doing curator cut to get missing collectables before I mop up the remaining trophies (and play online to get the last trophy). Devil May Cry: Haven't played this one in a minute but all I have left is to get the final blue orb, beat DMD mode and get the enemy entries. Disgaea 1 Complete: On the backburner Doom (2016): I tend to go too hard on game series and burn out. This is an example of this practice. Doom 2: Not sure how far I'll get but I have all trophies except speedrun and Nightmare. Doom Eternal: Want to finish Doom 2016 first. Dragon Ball FighterZ: On the backburner Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: Wow this game is awesome so far! Got too many RPGs going on atm though. Dragon Ball Xenoverse: All I need is super attacks! Using the Elder Kai trick to get the remaining ones. Currently on PQ 16. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen: I love RPGs but I can't have too many going on at once so this is shelved. Dragon Quest XI: Great RPG but on the backburner. Driveclub: Online trophies are done, almost platinumed this game but the DLC is killing me. Driveclub Bikes: Got some help from people on this site so online trophies are done! Driveclub VR: Wrapped up both online trophies so I'm safe earning this plat another day. Besides, I want to focus mainly on one Driveclub game at a time. Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires: These games are always so much more fun to play with another person. I convinced the wife to play with me and we're really enjoying this game now that we've made a ton of friends and family to show up. Dynasty Warriors 9: I really liked this game but with all the other games I'm playing this one is on the backburner right now. Evoland Legendary Edition: Fun game but shelved for the time being. Far Cry 5: OMG this intro was insanity! I'm really digging this one! Just exploring at the moment. Final Fantasy IX: I'm really loving this and finally wrapped up the two toughest trophies in the game (Bloodlust took roughly 50 hours of grinding). Now onto Treno! Final Fantasy VII Remake: Fun but I got sidetracked. Final Fantasy XV: Comrades burnt me out. 50 hours of grinding in 2 weeks. I will finish this one day though. Frantics: Another meh one. I'll likely revisit it in the future but not now. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: This is the old version to be honest. I was plugging along at this one but stopped after picking up GTA 3. Still playing here and there but not as much of a priority anymore. Guitar Hero Live: Well I missed the last GHTV trophy. Hours of playing only got me to 25% and I was getting burnt out on it so I shelved this one. Still, I may come back sometime later to try for the 99%. Hatsune Miku Future Tone: I've been playing this one to destress off and on. Lots of fun and the best Miku game. Really awesome game. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth1 Plus: It's still Nep 1 but it has so many cool tiny upgrades and playing in 60 fps is so awesome. Still, I've got a few too many RPGs on the plate right now. Hypnospace Outlaw: What a fun concept. Beat the game but a lot of trophies require repetitive going through pages with no direction. Shelved for now. Jackbox Party Pack 6: I play this with family mainly. Judgement: I got really frustrated after losing to round 8 on Fighting Vipers. Petty I know but it caused me to shelve this one for now. Just Cause 4: Though I enjoy this one quite a bit for messing around, it was taking up valuable real estate on my PS4 hard drive. I'll definitely come back to it but likely after I revisit the first few. Just Deal With It: Great game but haven't played it in a while. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory: This is a blast but I got sidetracked and haven't played it in a while. Kingdom Hearts III: Kind of burnt out on JRPGs right now. I'll likely return to this one later when the DLC releases. Lego Dimensions: Fired this one up recently and did a few levels but not really ready to go full blast into it again. Not enough space for all those figurines! Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga: This is the version I'm playing with the wife. We've so far beaten the first movie and got one multiplier. Shelved as the wife and I are playing other games. Life of Black Tiger: I know, terrible game. But I love bad glitchy games like these. And this one is definitely one of them. Like a Dragon Ishin: This one is a blast! Right now I'm just exploring but I'm already in chapter 4. Mass Effect: Nearly finished with the game and got most of the optional trophies but I uninstalled to make room for other games. Megadimension Neptunia VIIR: Played around with this one for a while but ended up shelving it to play other RPGs. I'll be back soon though. Melbits World: Fun but frustrating. I'll get back to this one later. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes: Now I know why everyone was so upset when this released. One main mission? Still it was pretty fun. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain: I've only had this on my shelf since launch when I preordered it. Finally getting to play it. Not very far at all. Minecraft: Plat achieved! Gonna take some serious time to finish the DLC, which will likely grow as I attempt to finish it. Need for Speed Payback: Currently on the backburner (for now). Neverwinter Nights: OK port but not amazing. Waiting for some patches. Nickelodeon Kart Racers: This was on sale and I wanted to fire it up. It's OK, not amazing but not horrible either. PC Building Simulator: I used to work at a computer repair shop roughly 20 years ago so this one is pretty fun and brings back memories. Fired it up again and playing it off and on. Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight: Now that I'm familiar with the cast, I've been playing this here and there. It's a lot easier completion than Persona 4's dancing game and I'm really digging this. Great game to play and zone out to. Persona 3 Portable: This is my main focus right now as I want to beat this before the remake comes out. I'm currently in December so I think I'm almost there but I have to play through the girl version too. This has been a blast though and very dark game. Loving it. Persona 4: Dancing All Night: I love me some rhythm games and this one is a really fun one! Haven't played it in a while though so it's on the backburner. Persona 5 Royal: This is the first Persona I've played since Persona 3 on PS2 (outside of spin offs) and man, this is such an addicting game. Amazing story so far, fun gameplay and I love the style/music. Definitely see why this is so highly rated and I'm craving this game. Shelved after starting Persona 3. Pinball FX 3: I play this one on and off but it's on the backburner. Planescape Torment: Don't really remember what I was doing. Gonna have to reinvest in this one. Prison Simulator: Another fun little simulator. I've been enjoying creating my prisoners and being a warden in this one. Fun game to zone out and not take too seriously. Rad Rodgers: Fun little game! Reminds me of playing old school Duke back on my 286. On the backburner since my PS4 sounds like a cessna playing this game. Resident Evil 2: I love this game, I HATE the DLC. Tried about 20 times again to get this cleared and got to roughly 80 before dying. This is really stressing me out. Resident Evil 4: I have roughly half the game left on Professional but I'm burnt out. Eventually I'll return to this. Resident Evil 4 Remake: This one is a blast! Really enjoying the changes. Currently in the early chapters but playing this one intermittently. Resident Evil 6: Everyone's favorite RE game! I managed to convince myself to beat 5 recently and had a lot of fun so I decided to continue with this game. To be frank, it's meh. Not nearly as bad as everyone says but not a game I'm gonna want to replay 8000 times like REmake. Resident Evil 7: Have the platinum for this one but haven't started the DLC. I'll be coming back to this one eventually. Likely after beating a few more main series games. Resident Evil Village: I love this game a lot but Mercenaries mode is kicking my butt. It's the last trophy I have but Factory is so tough. Romancing Saga Minstrel Song Remastered: So glad this got released! Now I can start from the beginning of the Romancing Saga series! I've beaten Saga 1-3 several times so I'm looking forward to enjoying this one! SackBoy: A Big Adventure: I really missed Littlebigplanet. But this would be a lot more fun with buddies to play and they're mainly on the PS5 version. Dunno about cross gen play. Sam and Max Save the World: One of my favorite series rereleased on PS4 and I can finally wrap up the series completions! I love these games and I'm very much enjoying replaying them, even with the changes. Cannot wait for season 3 to get remastered! Scribblenauts Mega Pack: Great game but haven't played it in a while. Shadow of Mordor (GOTY): I was enjoying playing this one again but I've started back up on Assassin's Creed series. This one is on hold for now. Shenmue: Very fun game but I've got a few other open world games to play so this one is shelved for the time being. Star Ocean First Departure R: Another game I really got invested in but my wife being home stopped progress on so as not to spoil her on it. Great game and I'm a good chunk through the game. Sonic Forces: Shelved. Beat it but wasn't feeling going through the whole campaign to collect all the rings. Will pick it up later. South Park: The Fractured But Whole: Stuck on a boss currently. Will likely attempt this one again once I'm done with some other games. Specially now that I got the DLC. Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast: Great game. Currently bumbling around the first mission. I wish they'd bring Dark Forces to PS4 too. Super Neptunia RPG: Cool spin off but on the backburner while I play other games. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition: Too many RPGs going on right now. The Outer Worlds: Too many RPGs going on right now. Tony Hawk 1 & 2: Love this remake! 100% THPS1 and THPS2. Just gotta wrap up challenges and gaps. But I had to delete it to make room. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5: I got this near launch and actually enjoyed it (gasp!). After reading they pulled the patch for a while, I reinstalled and I'm going through the game to get the plat. Still fun but I see why people dislike it. Uno: Not so much a game I'm actively going towards, moreso just a game I'm really enjoying playing to let off some steam. Walking Dead: Telltale Collection: Playing this one with the family again! Finished Season 1 (except stupid rock paper scissors trophy AGAIN). Will start season 2 soon. Warriors All Stars: Fun game with tons of different franchises involved! This one is on the backburner though. Witcher 3: With Yakuza nearing completion I've put this to the side for now. Wolfenstein: Youngblood: This got really bad reviews but I actually really enjoy it. Had to make some room though to reinstall Yakuza so it's on the backburner. Wordhunters: I broke down and got this one after really enjoying Just Deal With It. I'll be playing this one with the family off and on. Yakuza 4 Remastered: Beat Yakuza 4 as well. Gonna work on the completion list and start earning some trophies! Ys Origin: I recently rebeat Ys 1 & 2 on PSP so this is next in line. I'm really enjoying going back to this, it's a lot of fun! Currently playing as Yunica. PS3 Akiba's Trip: Currently too many plat projects going on so it's shelved for now. Atelier Escha & Logy: Beat the game with Escha. Working on Logy's playthrough so I can upgrade some equipment. Borderlands 2: Around level 9 with Zer0. Just got to the main town. Disney Universe: A game I started up on PS Now. It's frustrating me so I'm taking a break but I do want to wrap the plat up. Dragon Ball Raging Blast: Finally finished Budokai! Onto Raging Blast! Flower: Eh, tried for an hour to get one of the final trophies and failed so I got bored and shelved it. This one might hold a record for longest completion in my library if I ever finish it. God of War: Ghost of Sparta: I started this one a while back as it's one of the few God of War games I haven't beaten or platinumed. Haven't played it in a long while to be honest. Guacamelee: Burned out on Guacamelee after picking this back up. I'll come back to it some other time. Kingdom Hearts series: I did invest a ton of time into these games but after buying the PS4 collection, I've been playing these games on that one and this one is on the backburner. King's Quest: I love King's Quest and this one is Telltale-esque so I'm gonna enjoy this one! Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: Too much Lego going on right now. Will come back to this eventually. Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust: I want this plat but the game is so glitchy and I'm getting frustrated with it. Will eventually return but for now it's shelved. Mass Effect: Beaten! Currently halfway through playthrough 2, this time renegade! Shelved for PS4 version. Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker: I've beaten most of the MGS games except this and Phantom Pain. But after not understanding Ground Zeroes' plot at all and having a long discussion at work about MGS, I decided to fire this up again. Might not plat it, but I will beat it! Minecraft Story Mode: Shelved for now while I finish up other Telltale games. Resident Evil 4: Currently on Chapter 2-3. Loving this game (I just beat it for the first time on Xbox a short while ago, can't believe I waited this long to enjoy this classic!) Skyrim: Finished up three guilds, vampires and werewolf stuff. One trophy is glitched atm. Working on guild stuff. Playing this one intermittently. Sly 2: I started this way back in 2011 and never finished it even though it's an awesome game. Trying to fix that now! Sonic 2: Had some help from a couple buddies on the site to get the online trophy. Thanks guys! Now I can wrap this one up! Soul Calibur II HD Online: Picked this one up recently and had a buddy help me with some online trophies. Gonna hopefully get the plat since this is my favorite fighting game! Splatterhouse: Shelved for the time being. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Got some trophies for another trophy site's contest and really enjoying it again. Currently on stage 2. Worms Crazy Golf: They recently had a sale on the Worms games so I picked them all up (except Armaggedon, which wasn't on sale). Playing this sparingly. Yakuza HD: Imported this collection from Japan. Currently pursuing other projects atm. Vita Lego Ninjago Nindroids: Haven't fired this one up in a while. Will likely return to it after I clear other Lego games. Stardew Valley: Got a physical copy of the PS4 version so I can do the dupe glitch on that one. Playing multiplayer with the wife sporadically on it so this version is shelved for the time being. Uncharted: Golden Abyss: I started this one when I picked up my Vita in 2013 but never finished it. I'm currently a couple chapters in. Word Search by POWGI: Been playing this one here and there. ?? Games I'm playing for other systems Spoiler American Truck Simulator: This one is a great game to just zone out to. I pick it up every so often and just drive around. It's a lot of fun! I'm still going with Kansas. Chaos Head Noah: I really wanted to play this game and even started the original Chaos Head fan translation but now that it's official and Committee of Zero released their patch, I'm loving reading this. I'm nearly done. Fantasy Grounds: Picked this up so I can play D&D with friends again. Final Fantasy V (PR): I 100% the first four Pixel Remasters and I'm going through 5 now. I forgot how fun this game was I love it! Final Fantasy VIII Remastered: I'm playing this again on Steam with the wife. She's never played FFVIII so we're going through it together. On Disc 2. Final Fantasy XIII: Started this game on Xbox so I could catch up to where I was on my PS3 save and am really enjoying this. Playing it with the wife. Currently on Chapter 9. Grand Theft Auto III: This time of year always reminds me of the first time I played this game back in December of 2001. So I fired up the Steam version to go through again. Lawless_Llama
Great list so far! Excited to see where it leads in the future! The sly games were some of my favorites on the PS2, and the Lego games have always entertained me even if I don't own any on the PS4 as of right now. Keep up the great work! ??
TomoTakino
Big thanks! I really appreciate the feedback! I still have to finish the Sly series but I'm loving Sly 2!

I still have to go back and finish All for One and Full Frontal Assault though. And yes, very much so lol. Thanks for commenting!
TomoTakino
While I'm still updating and adding to the lists (unfortunately I spent the better part of one morning finishing this but accidentally erased it by closing the tab), I've obtained my first platinum since opening this topic! Thanks to Wdog-999's "Let's Play Neptuina!" series which I am an active participant of, I now have my 60th platinum trophy: Cyberdimension Neptunia!
TomoTakino
Another update! I've finally put in all of my platinums into the thread but I still have to add in my 100% completions and my goals. Meanwhile... #61 Lego Dimensions (PS4) November 8, 2017 (4:07 PM) This game is the ultimate Lego game and the ultimate mash up.
TomoTakino
Another update and another Lego platinum, this time the PS4 version of Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4!
TomoTakino
Another platinum update! This one is for the second half of the Lego Harry Potter collection on PS4! Meh.
TomoTakino
Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday to everyone! I hope you guys got your fill of great food and great deals. I know I got a few new games this holiday that I can't wait to try out (Wolfenstein 2, Forza 7). Also, it was a good couple of days as I got two platinums! Yesterday, I obtained the Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 and I got another one today!
TomoTakino
Hello everyone and I hope you're enjoying the holiday season! Hopefully you guys are progressing well on your holiday preparations (if you celebrate). I've got another update and this one is a big one: five new platinum trophies!
TomoTakino
Another small update, this time not a platinum but two completions! TomoTakino
Just an update: I've been really busy with other stuff lately but I'm still playing games here and there. I'm probably going to try for the Dynasty Warriors 9 platinum as I'm enjoying that one a lot, despite everyone else telling me I shouldn't. TomoTakino
Hello everyone! After a relatively uneventful six months, I've finally got platinum #70: Scribblenauts Showdown! The three platinum day must have killed my momentum a bit, though truthfully it's more because I've been playing other systems more recently (such as the Nintendo 64 and NES). I was getting close to the Dynasty Warriors 9 and Devil May Cry platinum but truthfully I got distracted by other games. Not this time! Only 30 left until I hit 100! I'm working on finishing up the last game of the Ezio trilogy (Revelations) as well as a few other games. Hopefully I'll get more plats before November! TomoTakino
I actually intended for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 2 to be my next platinum (I'm currently farming plans to finish up Stella's Dungeon) but I ended up getting three additional platinums, one of which is my fastest platinum trophy with a time of 1 minute I guarantee I will never come close to ever again (unless a similar scenario occurs). #71 Sound Shapes (PS4) June 2, 2018 (1:21 PM) I got this one for free back in the day and decided to finally try it out.
GravityQueeen
It was pretty fun reading your checklist. I loved the formating and the way you split up platinums from 100% games. I still have to learn doing these things considering how much I like writing about my trophy hunter's journey. Best of luck with the project!

TomoTakino
Another platinum! This one is for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2, which I finally got around to completing! I'll be starting Re;Birth 3 soon! I also joined another club, Camp Wannalottaplat, which is a summer camp experience through trophies. It seemed like a blast so I'm likely going to mix my time between Re;Birth 3 and the five games I chose for the Camp (which you can see through my recent RE7 trophies). I also screenshot my Vice City platinum in my vita trophies just to prove it's real (since PSN is still glitched and won't show the actual trophy). I really hope that gets fixed soon but until then, here's my proof:
TomoTakino
Alright! Busy month of June on Playstation as I just earned my fifth and sixth platinums of June and my seventh platinum in the last month! The first one has been in my backlog for years and the second was a game I was anxious to try and ended up loving and finishing! TomoTakino
It's been a very prolific month for me and I owe it mainly to Camp Wannalottaplat! Another update: two more platinum trophies including another backburner game! TomoTakino
Another platinum update! This has been a very prolific couple of months for me and I've got a couple more platinum games I can hopefully unlock soon! Yeah the Mahjong trophies worry me a bit but I still really enjoy the game and I'm glad I preordered the second one. I hope the PS4 ports of 3-5 come over as well. Good luck to you as well!
