I can see why one would find cheating in any way, shape, or form annoying when it comes to multiplayer. Afterall, that has the potential to directly impact your enjoyment. But single-player offline games? Please. We used to have Game Genie, cheat codes, tricks, glitches, patches, trainers, hacks, etc. Nobody gave two rat's asses about it because it was all about having fun.
