What better way to show my love and appreciation for chess then by having it be my first game completion for 2017. Fun Fact about me in middle school I was the chess champion twice. Took such an extended break I nearly forgot about it. Ah well, not as hard as I remembered. Fez Took me 2 years and four months to finish this gem. Really wish I would have gone back and done it sooner. The guide I used was written for a PC player, but extremely detailed as anybody playing the game could follow it. The controls and physics felt right, the theme was different, and there were some fun easter eggs and jokes. In general, the game was moderately challenging but not unfair. However--if you're going for the platinum/100%, there are some insanely crazy and frustrating difficulty spikes. This was rage at the TV territory. The Challenge Rooms and getting some of the orbs were especially evil. The Swindle was given free on plus not long ago. Even though I've read the thread talking about its issues in the forum, I still wanted to give it a shot and I did. Boy, the game had issued but it was still so much fun! Such fun that I had completely all but 1 trophy in 5 hours less than the fastest achiever, so there I was ready to grind it out. Little did I know the trophy was COMPLETELY LUCK BASED and with a 1/1200 chance of happening. Not that big of a deal, right? Just keep pushing and you will get it eventually... Oh boy, how wrong I was to start this game. It took me over 2100 restarts to get this fucking number to shows up. Hey George Lucas from Star Wars? Fuck you, alright? Doesn't look that bad, right? Thing is, I got all trophies (but this one) in around 8h of gameplay time and this trophy and this trophy alone took me 20h to grind out for. I could have been the fastest achiever. I could have rekt @zajac9999's ass. I could have, but RNG told me I wouldn't and so I didn't. Completion time, 2 days and some hours. Fuck this game. You know what is more infuriating? Getting the close numbers multiple times like these: It gets worse though... I got the exact next number not once, not twice, not thrice BUT FOUR FUCKING TIMES BEFORE I GOT 1138. Not sure what this "game" is other than a few easy trophies and in my opinion a waste of a couple of hours. If you like walking REALLY slow and feeling dumb because you can't use a crowbar properly then Datura is for you. However, make no mistake, this game's difficulty is ballbusting. It was definitely a hard 100%. Thankfully save abuse exists. Not sure how you can complete Jedi difficulty with no deaths otherwise. Totally an old school challenge if you're into that sort of thing. I found it very enjoyable, though frustrating at times. Already posted what I thought about the game (overwhelmingly positive) in the most recent platinum thread so I won't repeat myself. Never really mentioned how good the soundtrack is though.
