Skullgirls Encore (PS3)

Did this one for the ultra rare cleanup thread. If you want some easy ultra rares try this game out. Unlike 2nd Encore there are no difficult trophies on this list. If you like Vs style fighting games (MvC, DBFZ) than Skullgirls is a must play. The story is depressing as hell though, don’t expect any happy endings.

That was fun.  I even knew some of the songs.  Like from memes or Touhou videos, so that was a little nostalgic.  I like the screenshots you take become your loading screens.  Paparazzi and Video Aficionado still felt like padding though.

The Turing Test

L464fbc.png

Some of these header images just aren't great for reposting. Anyway, this will be the third platform I've completed this game on and it still gets me on certain puzzles. The story is your bog standard surface level philosophy about human smarts and asshole AIs, then super biology yo. Still, puzzles are creative, most of them built around how easy it is to overthink something simple. Worth a playthrough if you like the whole first-person puzzle thing.

Latest 100% - Monopoly Family Fun Pack

Lcd0bff.png

I had fun with this. I've always been a fan of the board game and I remember really enjoying getting the platinum for Monopoly Streets on PS3 some years back.

Monopoly Plus plays very similarly to that game with a vivid 3D animated board which makes it appealing in video game form.

Monopoly Deal was new to me and I found it surprisingly addictive. It isn't as good as playing a normal game of Monopoly but at the same time I thought it was a good way of turning it into a card based game.

A few of the trophies can take some time to get but most can be done in one run through Monopoly Plus and two runs through Monopoly Deal.

The toughest trophy in the game is Final No which requires a bit of luck but I was fortunate enough to unlock it at my second attempt.

Vessel (2.75% PSNP UR)

My #111 game without a platinum trophy 100%

--

This is a steampunk-themed platform puzzle, there are no dialogues and the elements are few and simple, but the difficulty of the areas increases to a point of great hardness. The gameplay consists of 80% puzzles and very little platforming, you handle different liquids and seeds using to solve puzzles. there are also collectibles, but most can be accessed in the post game although I do not recommend this option. there are some creative trophies that run away from the essential gameplay, in fact it is possible to finish the game without getting almost any trophy. The story can be read and followed by the journal if you wish. This was a PS+ game on July of 2014 who was lost in my library and finally found its glorious end.

Comix Zone - #112 ?

L659611.png

Absolute classic, very high quality game with a plot that stirs the imagination; the combination of comics and video games was astute. Engaging gameplay and formidable soundtrack, this is a beautiful beat em up, an honor to have completed it.

Abzû

L0ac77d.png

I noticed that I had 3 water based games on my console and decided that I would knock all 3 out in a row to have a bit of a theme going. Abzû was an obvious first choice because it is the shortest of the 3 by far. The game is basically a swimming/diving simulator, no real gameplay aside from swimming around and pressing a button to interact with things, no enemies, no timing that needs to be fulfilled, no skill involved, just a chill little linear exploration game with a few collectibles. It was somewhat enjoyable for what it is, good looking areas and some interesting looking fish, even though I thought the music was kinda unfitting at times.

The Spectrum Retreat

La2fede.png

Not terrible. I feel like many of the puzzles are unreasonable in what they expect the player to figure out. At least one puzzle required the use of a block that is only technically visible from a certain point and only just. Many more require knowing the order of a color gate before starting, without giving a way to do that. Additionally, I really feel like the hotel motif is underused. Yes, it's at least 45% of the total space of the game, but almost all of it just hallway porn. Not an overall bad game, but it could have been better.
