Road To The Olympics - Trophy Discussion

Hello!

On the 5th of December there will be the release of the new DLC for Steep, Road to the Olympics.

This dlc contains 6 trophies (195 points/ 1 Gold - 2 Silver - 3 Bronze).

Gold - The adventure of a lifetime
Finish "Become a legend" (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

Earned by completing all the events in this DLC.

Silver - The pride of the nation
Win a gold medal in any event in Korea (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

Earned by completing any event with a gold medal.

Silver - Rising Sun Challenger
Get a medal in 10 challenges in Japan (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

Earned by completing 10 challenges (maybe events?) with either bronze, silver or gold medal.

Bronze - A little bit of tourism
Discover Tateyama Road and Tsumago Village (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

I assume these 2 locations are drop zones.

Bronze - The floor is lava (definitely easier comparing to lucio's trophy)
Grind on 4 rails consecutively in Japan (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

Self-explanatory, easiest trophy imo. Tried it in the beta, it only took me 2 tries.

Bronze - After all these years…
Fall during the finale of a Korea event (Road To The Olympics DLC required)

Bail at the end of an event.

Overall I will give this a 1/10 in difficulty. It will be easy to collect these trophies, my prediction is 1 or 2 hours.

I'd be irate if I bought the Season Pass and then found out this isn't included.

That is how I felt when I bought the "Ultimate Edition" for Sniper Elite 3 and it is missing the Hitler DLC. The Hitler DLC costs about as much as I paid for the whole UE itself.

I'm with the poster above. This DLC is not worth the price tag at all. The fact it's excluded from the season pass just feels like a cash grab.

It's basically an hour of warm up events that are impossible to fail, followed by a handful of ski slalom events and awkward interviews with actual athletes constantly reminding you that "no one has yet won all three medals".

Then it's a couple of mountains with not a whole lot of other content. It's great to be able to board Japan but seriously, there's next to nothing to do.

And if you're just in it for the trophies, it's 100% not worth the price. Wait until it's on sale (if that ever happens).

Can anyone explain further about the "After all these years" trophy?

I tried deliberately falling down in all 3 of the final events but it never popped.... is there something more specific you need to do?

It needs to be a KO, not only falling. You can do it on any of the Olympic events in the menu. Progress -> Asia -> Olympic

if i buy this dlc, will it count toward getting 115 gold medals trophy for the base game trophies?

Sorry, won't work.  All the Road to the Olympics challenges are in Japan and Korea.  You can use the rocket wings challenges to count though, so 115/118 gold possibilities. Good luck!

I've heard this Japan-DLC is now free for all for a limited time. If you purchase it now for free ingame you can keep it forever. I'll test it this evening.

Edit: I can confirm my words.

Edit 2: You get the Map and the Challenges, but not the Trophies.

I just found out: You get just the Map and the Challenges, but not the Trophies. I did'nt knew that, sorry.

And if you've got the DLC, the Gold Medals don't Count for the Main Game Gold Medals.
