Popular Post Wavergray
Stock Questions. 1. How did you come up with your PSN name? My name is simply my initials. I put various number combinations at the end until one worked. 2. What games convinced you get your PlayStation 3, Playstation Vita, and PlayStation 4? My brother actually got both our PS3 and our PS4. I simply mooched off of him later (so much so, that he thought it was necessary to buy a second PS3). As for the Vita, I bought it for Persona 4 Golden. That may be the stereotypical answer, but it's the truth. 3. What are your top 5 game series and why? I'm just going to plop a disclaimer for these next few questions and say that I'm really bad at making "top" lists. My favorites usually bounce around with the times, some things being better in memory than they probably were. I'll also say for the sake of this list, I'll only count a series if I've played at least three games in the series. I also won't say that something like Dragon Ball is it's own series when things like Raging Blast and Xenoverse are clearly completely different. That being said, here we go: (Honorable mention goes to Naruto Storm) 5. Pokemon - I played a lot of Pokemon as a child and will always hold it close to my heart. My brother, his friend, and I used to pick a gen every summer and play through the game under different conditions, fighting each other every so often. It was a good bonding experience, and some of the better games remain some of my top games to this day. This would be higher if the newer gens were a bit better. I won't say they're bad, but they're just not for me. It sucks not being able to have decent conversations about Pokemon with my friends anymore because I don't keep up with the newest Pokemon. It's a shame really. 4. Call of Duty - Before becoming a professional trophy hunter, I, like many other young teens, played way too much COD. While I don't play it as much now, it's fun to play with friends who refuse to touch my anime games. But what really lets COD make this list is zombies, a super-addictive game mode that I used to play everyday and will still play every now and then, just for fun. I've had some good times playing zombies with friends and will hopefully have more to come. 3. Super Smash Bros. - Here's another fun game to play with friends. While in Tokyo, Smash Wii U was all anyone ever played over there, and it was amazing. I'm not that great at the game, but that hardly detracts from the fun when fighting multiple people at once, seeing who can handle the chaos the best. Brawl is really good as well, and with such a wide range of characters and stages, it's hard to get bored. 2. Mario Kart - Mario Kart is my favorite Nintendo series for good reason. I've never met a person who hasn't at least gotten interested in a Mario Kart game, and it can be both fun and competitive at the same time. The Wii version is particularly great because you almost feel like you're actually driving with how the controls are made. My roommates also love this game and are all about the same skill level as me, making for some great races. My one roommate and I even entered a Mario Kart tournament once and got 1st and 3rd place respectively. Winning money with the games you love is always a great feeling. 1. Hyperdimension Neptunia - This should've been obvious from my profile. Playing games with friends is fun, but the best games are those you can sit back and enjoy at your own pace. HDN is comprised of mostly likable characters, good battling systems, and comical dialogue I can appreciate. The games never hesitate to make fun of themselves, and I respect that. I also enjoy that it's not just a JRPG series but has so many different spin offs for everyone to enjoy. It's been a while since I've played one of the games. I should probably get back to that soon. 4. What are your top 5 games and why? (Honorable mentions go to Pokemon Colosseum, Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2, and Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party) 5. Mario Kart Wii - Look at the last question if you need further explanation. My top four games are all reviewed in detail in my trophy checklist. If you want further explanation, you can check there. 4. Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 (Platinum #95) 3. Dragon Ball Raging Blast (Platinum #25) 2. Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 (Platinum #15) 1. Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes (Platinum #10) 5. Top 5 TV shows whether they be animated or live-action, why, and would you recommend them to people? Most of what I watch is anime, so I'm just going to give my top five anime. That being said, I'll give an honorable mention to Full House, my guilty pleasure in high school. Rather than explain what's good about each anime and possibly spoil some parts, I'll encourage all anime fans to give one or more of these a try. As some can tell by this list, while I'm a fan of most genres, my favorite involve darker themes. My #5 changes a lot (and will likely get overtaken by My Hero Academia soon), but my top four have been the same for quite some time. 5. Fist of the North Star 4. Psycho-Pass 3. Yowamushi Pedal 2. Mirai Nikki 1. Higurashi 6. Top 5 favorite music bands/group/artist? I always hate getting asked this question because I rarely ever get largely invested into any one group. I just click on a random recommended playlist on YouTube and enjoy the ride, making most of what I listen to anime OST, game bgm, nightcore, and epic soundtracks. I'm listening to Bleach OST right now and am having a grand ol' time. Some groups I enjoy in no particular order are Yousei Teikoku, T.M. Revolution, Goreshit, Future Girlfriend, and a whole bunch of vocaloids (my favorite being Kagamine Rin). 7. Your favorite platinum? My favorite platinum is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Eyes of Heaven. It's not even close to my favorite game, nor is it a challenge to beat. However, platting it was an incredible journey that I'll never forget. After looking at the trophy list for Eyes of Heaven, I was convinced that it could be platted in under a day, and I was the first to do just that. Despite watching every cut scene and not taking the optimal route in story mode, I still easily got the world record, and I'm strongly considering beating my time under a different account in the near-future. 8. Your least favorite platinum? I can easily just say The Walking Dead Season One, but instead of trashing that game again, I'll refer to my least-favorite platinum memory, Batman: Arkham Asylum. At the time, I was in the platinum league of THL (hard to believe, I know). It was about the fifth fixture, and I was currently in the lead. It all came down to whether I platted Batman in time. I got through most of the game easily enough, but one challenge was really bogging me down. After spending over two hours on it, I finally had a good run. The final gold trophy and the platinum popped TWENTY SECONDS AFTER THE FIXTURE ENDED! I lost by under five points and would've gotten a DW otherwise. I lost platinum league because of that and couldn't look at Batman the same ever since. 9. Have you ever been tempted to switch over to the Xbox/Nintendo/PC gaming ecosystems? I dabble with Nintendo from time to time, but I haven't really invested more into it since I started trophy hunting. I doubt I ever will. As for PC, I tried Steam once but never really got into it. Xbox is just trash. 10. If you could have one game from any gaming generation be remade or rereleased what would it be? There are so many games that I want to eventually get an English release but know they likely never will. Sengoku Basara 4 is at the top of this list. 11. How far are you willing to go for a platinum? It really depends on what's at stake. I don't like suffering through games like The Walking Dead, but if it's for a trophy competition that I actually have a chance at winning, then I'll go through it. Same goes with my willingness to buy cheap trash. If the game happens to be long, I probably won't get too invested in it unless I truly enjoy the game. This all being said, I've done some pretty weird stuff over the years such as taping together a turbo controller, self-boosting, pounding a controller with a water bottle, playing the same level of a game 50+ times, getting a personal Ethernet cable for my PS3, and so much more. Community Questions 1. What is your Stand's name and power? My stand is Fool's Errand, and it allows me to grow stronger with each individual who doesn't want me to win something. When my stand reaches maximum power (which was most recently seen during my fight against @xZoneHunter in Survivior), I'm nearly unstoppable. 2. Are you a Jojo reference? Everyone and everything is a Jojo reference in some way, shape, or form. Don't let anyone tell you different. 3. Is your game collection a Jojo reference? Refer to question 2. 4. Is your decision to be interviewed a Jojo reference? Refer to question 2. 5. Are any of your trophy competitions Jojo references? Refer to question 2. 6. Is your name a Jojo reference? Refer to question 2. 7. Between you and your brother, who would you say is the better trophy hunter? Definitely me. The only way my brother can ever put up a decent score is if I coach him the whole way through, and even then, he's only motivated if we're on the same team. 8. Is your brother a Jojo reference? Refer to question 2. 9. What's a fighting game you're not good at, but wish you were? Let's start out by saying I'm not THAT good at fighting games. I'm decent on Aquapazza and Nitro+ because I spent months training with G.O.D.-tier players and learning new combos. With most other games, I'm only good enough to beat casual players. That being said, I would like to get to the point in Arcana Heart 3 where I can pull off good combos and not just spam supers. I may be biased since I'm currently working on Love Max, but the series is one of the better ones I've seen in terms of 2-D fighters, and it'd be fun to fight people in it once I improve. 10. What is your opinion about religion? I believe that it shouldn't be discussed seriously during a fun-hearted interview. But hey, that's just an opinion. 11. Who is your daddy and what does he do? His name is Ed, and he's a manager. That's all I'll say about that. 12. What's your favorite foreign food? When I lived in Tokyo two summers ago, I had quite a few foods that sounded ordinary but were surprisingly well-made. The best thing I had there, strangely enough, was melon bread. 13. What’s the worst game you have ever unironically liked? I don't quite understand your question. Do you mean a game that wasn't well-received by the general public that I liked or a game that I expected to be utter trash that I liked? I'll assume you meant the latter and say The Walking Dead Season 2. Don't get me wrong. This game was no masterpiece, but after the utter atrocity that was Season One, I was dumbfounded to see such a vast improvement from game to game. 14. Which is your favorite Neptunia girl? and why? I alternate between Noire and Blanc a lot. I say Blanc is marginally better because she has cooler moments, and I like her personality/design just a little bit more. Rom and Ram are also cute too, so that's a plus. 15. What's your most memorable platinum that you've obtained? The most memorable one is always the first, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. This took me 11 months to plat. Why? I didn't use a guide, and I didn't boost (I was a naive child back then). Not only were the collectibles a pain to get, but getting the online titles was way harder than it needed to be. Back then, the online was thriving with hardcore Naruto players, and I didn't stand a chance against most of them. It took months to finally get 50 online wins, and when I did, I screamed at the top of my lungs as my first plat appeared. I'll never forget that moment, the moment my journey as a trophy hunter officially began. 16. With all the talk about loot boxes going around right now, what are your thoughts on the subject? I'm assuming you mean digital loot boxes. Let's just say I'm not a fan. 17. Who will win a trophy competition first: Kent10201 or yourself? Well, I've already won two Holiday Specials, so your question pretty much answers itself. 18. What's your favorite event to have admined/created? My favorite event that actually happened is hands-down THTL. Many rivalries and friendships were born there, and a lot of good memories were made, trophy hunting into the wee hours of the night. It's good to see it still going (sort of) even after I'm gone. My favorite event I created was the Arcade League. Even though I made it knowing it'd likely never happen, it was a ton of fun just thinking up moves for each of the characters. If anyone picked up this idea in the future, I'd be ecstatic. 19. Have you updated your top 10 trophy hunters list yet? I haven't and likely never will. Since I've retired as a competitive trophy hunter, it's now even harder to keep track of everyone (like it was easy to begin with). Even back when I cared, the list constantly changed over time based on different events/feats, so it's nearly impossible to make an "official" list. 20. Who is the worst trophy hunter? It's a tie with all of the people in the world who have ever hacked a trophy. 21. If you had to pick a pool of three fighting games for me to choose from for us to fight against in, what would they be? The first two would definitely be Aquapazza and Nitro+ since I would likely wipe the floor with you in both of those. The third would be UNIEL. I'm not as good as it, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. It's also a fun and easy game to get into. 22. Think you'll ever complete Frozen on your profile? No, but I may eventually go back to the PS4 version to get 50 snowball fights if I'm ever in desperate need for an ultra rare trophy. Thank you @jem for being the third interviewee in the new era of PSNP Interviews. The next interviewee will be revealed soon. @Parker Can this be moved to the Member Interviews section please.

Beyondthegrave07
I second that Mario Kart is freaking amazing. Mario Kart Wii was my favorite in the series and probably in my top 10 or 15 favorite games of all time. Great choices btw! Also, Jem's life is one giant JoJo reference.
Satoshi Ookami
10 hours ago, soultaker655 said: I've never met a person who hasn't at least gotten interested in a Mario Kart game Here is one, unless you mean 'met' as personally. This seemed to be pretty quick interview... Could be because everything is a jojo reference, though
