Popular Post Froopy the Temmie
Without a doubt, The Pits (Warp Room 1, Level 4) was the hardest. I had a huge issue with timing the dash jumps correctly to get over the holes. I remember in the original PSX game, you could hop on the sides and hop over, but they took that capability out in this one. I ended up getting it based on sheer luck and about 4 hours of trying.
Popular Post Empovyle
Piston It Away (Warp Room 5 Level 1) was the hardest for me, I spent around 4 hours on that one. All I have to say about that is those tentacle dudes really suck.
Nightstream88
Think I had difficulties in a lot of these levels in the Crash games with relics anyway at least some stages. Right off hand Hangin' Out is giving me quite a bit of trouble I do have 19/27 Gold relics at the moment some of these felt like they required near perfection to get the Gold relics for too. That I had quite a bit of trouble with the bear chase levels since I kept on getting hit by mines. Some of these levels were pretty brutal Kind of glad Platinum relics aren't required for the Platinum Trophy don't know if I would have enough patience for that. Although some levels I could probably get platinum relics in like one of the levels I was 1 send or 2 off from getting but others not so much. As for the other levels I have yet to do are Piston it Away, Rock it, Night Fight, Pack Attack and Spaced Out don't know about the last two.
Popular Post AJ_Radio
Hanging Out is the most difficult in my opinion. You have to use the run and slide maneuver and you can't make any crucial mistakes as you won't have enough time to reach the end. Took me two and a half hours to beat this level and I barely made Gold. Huge respect for people who can get a Platinum out of this level.
gameoncomrade
This reminds me that I really need to get back and get the few last relics in Crash Bandicoot 1 + 3. Thanks! I thought The Pits was going to be very difficult for me, but I had no issues going through it. I even got the platinum relic. I'm a little ashamed of it, but I found Diggin’ It the hardest... Ended up getting the platinum relic as well though. Even though the platinum relics aren't required to obtain the platinum trophies in the games, it's a goal that I set for myself. So far, all the relics that I have are platinums. I absolutely loved doing the time trials back in the day in Warped and Wrath of Cortex. The few relics that I'm missing in CB1 and CB3 shouldn't be too difficult...

I was still sorta getting used to the timing as the jumping mechanics differ slightly from the original (at least, I feel like they do). You should go for all the plat relics. That's certainly something to be proud of! 16 hours ago, Spaz said: Hanging Out is the most difficult in my opinion. If I had to choose the second hardest, Hanging Out would take the cake. Most of my issue was timing the jump up to the grates to hang without accidentally dropping myself to doom. That was prolly my biggest issue in playing that level.
Nightstream88
Well finally done with all the relics on the Time Trials wouldn't mind seeing how some of those people that have the top times videos on them since I just don't see how some of those times are possible even doing a perfect run on some of those levels. Think there have been a few levels I was like a second or two off from the Platinum relic but I'm not going back and doing that. Don't think I'll probably do Time Trials for Crash Bandicoot ever again.
Froopy the Temmie
I'm not sure either. I had kinda wondered if the dash-spin trick could have been used. How would it work with the running shoes is beyond me.

Popular Post DJT-Didge
Just got the Platinum for this after a solid 7 hour fight with Cold Hard Crash by far some of the harshest hit boxes of any level on this one.
mecharobot
I found the gem to be harder in Cold Hard Crash than the relic. You can use the death route for the relic, which is simple if you save the mask for the nitros. The gem is easily top 3 most difficult gems in trilogy, though. I got it almost right away after switching the route.
SejanusIsDead
Don't know about gold, but for platinum: Snow Go, and it's not even close. Hangin' Out, Pack Attack, Piston It Away, Spaced Out, and Totally Bear are ignoble runners up, but Snow Go... Snow Go took me about 10 hours to platinum, altogether. I watched every video, studied every technique, and it all came down to execution (and luck). Unfortunately, the time is so extremely tight and the maneuvers so extremely awkward - especially near the end - that anything less than pro-level execution won't get you there. On another thread I mentioned this, so I might as well mention it here as well; namely, that it's the only level I've ever missed the relic by .01 seconds on (requirement: 42.88 seconds; my time: 42.89 seconds. Needless to say, I almost imploded with rage and despair). Whoever made the time requirement for the Snow Go platinum can burn in H-E-double hockey sticks. The reason I don't think Hangin' Out even compares to Snow Go is because you can usually see what you're doing wrong in the former, with the knowledge that if you can find some way to fix it (getting over the spiky guys, breaking those awkward one second boxes near the end quickly, etc.), you can make the time. With Snow Go, I had many, many runs where I could see literally nothing I was doing wrong. I'd watch videos of guys getting sub-42 second times and think, "I did just what he did; how the hell did he get 2 seconds on me?" Whereas with, say, Spaced Out, my initial platinum time was a hair under the requirement, but then I checked out a speedrunner's 35-second run of the level, imitated his beginning strat, and then shaved four seconds off my time. I even shaved 1.5 seconds off of Hangin' Out. But Snow Go? The platinum is straight evil.
Dr_Shaneman
Hangin' Out was the hardest one for me because of the strict time it had. It's also a level you can't use much speed running in as it's 80% bars. Piston It Away/Spaced out is just hard because of the way the enemy hit boxes are handled now. In the original game, you got hit after the tentacle change animation. In the trilogy, you get hit when the animation change starts.
Charizarzar
Hangin’ Out was the worst for me too. With a lot of the other harder ones such as Spaced Out, Pack Attack, Piston It Away and Totally Bear I got muscle memory after many attempts and was still having fun. With Hangin Out I kept getting caught by the metal robots, then when you get past that stage you’re dropped down into water where you can easily get stuck and waste time trying to jump to the next platform. Cold Hard Crash was the worst gem one for me because of the death path, but I ignored that when going for the relic and still got gold so I think that one is fairer than people give it credit for (for getting gold at least). Spaced Out wasn’t too bad once you learn the path and the tricks that can save you a couple of seconds at the beginning, but sometimes I’d go to slide one of the enemies after sliding underneath something and get stuck in a crouch, allowing it to walk into me. But if you can get close to the end with at least 2 masks you can start taking more risks and run into enemies. Sometimes got caught out by that last scientist guy though and fell off the edge with him.
Falken-N7
Still trying to take on this plat, and Piston it Away is my current nemesis. It was as a gem, and it is again as a relic, I tried the whole evening both yesterday and today, nothing, best time was a 1:25 when I need a 1:23, hate that level
AfraidOfTheFolly
Hangin Out is an absolute nightmare. Literally just turned the PlayStation off with a sigh of "Not today". Finished my first run through with a time of 1 minute 30 only to see no relic at all pop up. Thought I was misreading it when it I then checked the time and saw 1 minutes 3 seconds for the gold. Managed another run through at 1 minute 11 but I have no idea how I shave that time down at all I wasn't going slow or being cautious at all. BacklogGamer964
Spaced Out is giving me just the worst time. It's the last Relic I need in the game, but I keep getting stuck under the areas near the end where you need to slide, I've watched a bunch of runs of it and everyone seems to make it through with no issue, I always get stuck under the 2nd part on both and have to crawl super slow out and it kills my time on every attempt. KenjiCBZ
Cold Hard Crash wouldn't even be that difficult, if it wasn't for its ridiculous hitboxes. Hanging Out was a bit hard, but manageable, once you knew the technique to save time by sacrificing the mask, and I got the Platinum in few attempts after realising about that. The Pits, Diggin It and Ruination were really easy in my opinion. For now I got all Platinum Relics, I still miss the last warp room and few levels of N.Gin's, hopefully I can get them all. Edit 05/02/21: Got Platinum in Piston it Away in like five attempts lol I got it by less than half second from the Platinum time, but getting to the end of the level hasn't been hard at all, maybe it's because I remembered the level Edit 06/02/21: I did it, 27/27 Platinums! J-Isoniemi
Piston it Away was the hardest for me, the only one I had to give up and continue later. But it was easy gold soon after. I don't think these were much easier than Crash 1 relics, apart from Stormy Ascent. But beating that game first certainly teaches a lot. Especially for new Crash player. Still both platinums (or at least first) were hard as hell, and I'm proud.
LunchCannon54
Hangin' Out is the hardest I think because of its strict time limit. Piston it Away and Spaced Out are pretty tough too.
Kahuninho
Piston it Away and Spaced out were the hardest for me, Hangin' out difficult too but that one didn't take me as long as the other two. Overall I thought it was easier than Crash 1, sometime next month I might start crash
yellowwindow7
Nope! I don't wanna remember my pain with this trilogy anymore, luckily I completely shaved my hair by the time I was playing this collection so there's no hair to pull one by one due to frustration, Especially the first game! been there done them all except one DLC trophy left in the first game and moved on.... not even interested in crash 4 at all. AmazingNoeder
Could hard crash is pretty easy to get gould cuz u have plenty of time, honestly u can even get a platinum having a lot of mistakes On this video I made a terrible run and still got platinum (when I say is easy i don't mean that u won't fail, but with practice and patience,u won't take too much time to achieve) Hagging out is the one that u need to be perfect and fast and there is no space for error, but with practice all of them are doable and not that hard, only Stormy ascent was pretty mother fuckin bullshit the first minute of this video bellow shows that Stormy ascent isn't about skill but about how long u can keep trying whiteout destroying the controller....
