As in, you don't need to be holding the item for it to register? Example being, a trashcan, I can lob it at a zombie or two and it'll still count as being used on a zombie? As I have been doing that often with chairs, novelty items and all that sort of stuff (still a bit to go for any of the trophies to unlock, as I still got a lot to use).
