GizMo_The_Great
Okay so I’ve yet to get the trophy, however I have a few ideas on how to make this trophy less of a pain. Out of the two mutators, I’d suggest picking: No Margin For Error (which sets your max health bar to 1.) Then compliment it with your preferred other mutator. The issue with the Curse mutator is that sometimes there aren’t many health vials around. With the procedural generation, sometimes you can get tons on each level. But other times you can get none until level 3 upwards. When you start, use your staff to kill enemies at a distance until you find a melee weapon with better range. Then use melee for enemies that don’t fire projectiles and your staff for the ones that do. Play slow, and try to engage one enemy at a time if possible.. Upon finishing a level and starting a new one. Quit to the main menu, close the game, and upload your save to the cloud or a USB. Then when you return to the game you will continue from the level you just reached. If you die, simply delete the save off your console and download the backup. If you succeed then do the same; quit and upload save. Do this for each level, and it should make the trophy less of a chore. OFFICER_OILDAB
I would like to start off with saying, this was my exact technique for the trophy... When I first started trying for this, that is. In my head being able to take it slow, and careful would make it doable. Except that some levels were still taking quite a few tries, the lava levels being the biggest pain with so many of the enemies having ranged attacks. I did all of this simply to make it to the last level to find out it is next to impossible. There are too many enemies and the ranged attacks in this section are too quick. My method of suggestion: use the "Curse" mutator paired with "It was easy", and start your game that way. Now, to make this super easy, heres what you do (**This has only been tested and verified on NA Vita version**): Drop the potion you start with in your inventory and double tap " X " fast enough and youll be able to pick up multiples of the same item. Rinse and repeat. Keep doing this til you are very well set on potions and the "Curse" mutator will seem like it doesn't even matter. 17 hours ago, GizMo_The_Great said: Upon finishing a level and starting a new one. This is also very good advice, but to save a step, I will say on the NA Vita version, if you exited the game upon dying and went right back in, you could still start off on the last level you played. I didnt find myself needing to backup my.save, delete and redownload. Edited December 14, 2017 by OFFICER_OILDAB Missing words.

Yeah but he’s talking about the PS4 version.. everyone who plays this game should (emphasis on should) know that the vita version is 100X easier and faster.. the game isn’t bad on the PS4 version until you hit this trophy (which, I strongly urge you to be your third and final playthrough).. I had enough pots on my first basic vanilla (no mutators, jus started it up) that I honestly could’ve beaten curse with ease.. on my second playthrough, I was really skimped on pots.. and resources were scarce (broken cartridge).. I’m going back and forth in my mind between which one would be better for me to get platinum with (for my final playthrough) and I honestly don’t know.. I’m leaning towards curse with extra health mutator.. dunno yet..

What mutator combo did you use for you Bring em on run? (if you remember) I was thinking of doing the above strat of doing No Margin and It was Easy with the cloud saves but if curse with extra health works I may try that. Sorry man, this was ages ago for me.. so much has happened since then, there's no way of me recalling what combo I used.. I want to say I did what I was leaning towards with cursed and extra health mutator but honestly there's no way for me to accurately remember.. sorry, again, and best of luck. I really did enjoy this game tho. it was very nostalgic of old school dungeon games, and it had a certain charm about it, seriously.

I’ll try the curse and extra health after I finish this broken cartridge run. thanks!

Yukiko Miyamoto
Use the duplication exploit and duplicate the healing potion till you have a full inventory, if you want to get a free exit you could duplicate the key so you don't have to kill the boss. I would recommend using the Curse mutator you could overheal the Curse using the duplication exploit.
