This was one of those moves that plodded along so agonizingly slow it was a borderline "snooze-fest". To make matter worse, the writers/creators of this movie were obviously conflicted as to what this movie was supposed to be about.

Human Drama?

Alien Invasion?

Thriller?

Sci-Fi?

...it was a blend of all those and none of those all at the same time.

Think if Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Godzilla had a baby, this would be the result. Pretty good flick for a first time film.

The 2005 version. had a better back story than the John Carpenter 1980 version...but Adrienne Barbeau was much hotter as the lead.

Picked this one up for $2.99 used. Was a decent film.

It was a movie watchin' type o' Sunday.

PSX. Did you not think Dragon Wars was just 2 hours of chase scenes?

Such a great movie.

The fight scenes were perfectly choreographed, and emotionally gripping, dramatic.

I saw The Secret World of Arrietty last week. To be honest, it was a little disappointing. Short story, no major climax, undeveloped characters. The animation wasn't even the good. The idea held merit, but can't say the same for the movie. This isn't to say it was completely awful; I still enjoyed watching it. I dunno, maybe go check it out yourself and see if you like it.
