The Last Movie You Saw?

I went and watched Snow White and the Huntsmen. It was alright, definitely wasn't worth the outrageous ticket prices

I'd say it's worth a rent though when it comes out on DVD.

quite disappointing.

the 1st 30 minutes the movie had potential.

after the troll fight it all went to shit.

I would give it a 3/10 for entertainment value.

American History X- 8.75/10

Oddly specific rating for the movie. Just throwing out a random number or is there a legitimate argument as to why this movie gets an 8.75 instead of an 8.76?

It's in quarters. If you can get a 8.5, you can should then be able to get a 8.75, and an 8.25, but not an 8.34 or something like that.

Saw Project X last night on Bluray.

Not bad but nothing spectacular, it was worth the watch.

Just saw The Pact. Started off with some decent creepy moments, but then just went into awfulness. 3/10

Also saw Top Cat last week. While a bit kiddy, it's worth it for fans of the original Top Cat. Even has the original theme song. 7/10

Why stop at quarters? Why not fifths ... 8.20, or eighths, 8.125? Go to simple tenths, 8.10. lol

Dukes of Hazzard and Starsky & Hutch.

Watched 'em both...the both had moments of glory...but were just meh overall. I'm not a big fan of Snoop Dog, but he gets some serious props for recreating a most excellent Huggy Bear....and Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse...priceless.

After the disappointment of The Pact I tried another horror with Chernobyl Diaries. I liked it more. It was very suspensful. Ending wasn't great, but i'd say 6/10.

The Deer Hunter

Deer.jpg

One of the saddest movies I've seen. Walken and De Niro really shine on this one. I just didn't understand how Steven lost both legs and an arm. It showed that he broke one of his legs, but that could have been treated by the people Michael gave him to. My only complaint is how the wedding in the beginning seemed to drag on a bit and the part where they're in Vietnam seemed a bit short. The part where he lights the VC up with a flamethrower and the Russian Roulette scene was true madness. I hated how Nick spat in Michaels face when Michael tried to get him to remember him. De Niros screams were haunting and I cried like a little kid at the end. 9.5/10 "God bless America... My home sweet home."

I would argue this was better then the original as it stuck to Greek Mythology much better. It still bothers me that Perseus had a son before he was with Andromeda, and that they chose to name him Helios of all things. But that is being nitpicky. This movie has some good battle scenes, but overall is not great. Still entertaining enough to watch. 5 out of 9 secret bags of candy.
