Skyfall - The Best James Bond EVER!!!!

Kick-Ass

Watched it for the 4th time the other day. It's undeniably the best superhero film. Hate me if you want, but The Dark Knight Rises can kiss my ass, it's the biggest disappointment in cinema and was really boring to watch. Filled with bad script writing at times and predictable as all hell can be, but props to Tom Hardy. He deserves all the good about the film as it's hard trying to replace Heath Ledger from his Oscar-worthy performance. As big as a Spidey fan I am, his best has to be the comics since he's films have downgraded... Anyways, I truly love this film. Love everything about it and it's sense of style. It has everything and everything fits in the right place for this film. Death, love, betrayal, and some fun as hell dialogue.

Can't wait for Kick-Ass 2!!!!!

Scotty, this is the first thing we disagree on!!! Kick-Ass was a good movie, but Batman 3 was incredible. I could not have asked or dreamed of a better finale to Nolan's jaw-droppingly incredible trilogy.

I absolutely loved Kick-Ass! :D The Avengers was great and is the definition of a Summer Blockbuster, I never had that feeling of, "Let's go see that again!" With The Dark Knight Rises, I just sat in the theater trying to get into it, I really tried, but I was ultimately bored. Maybe it's me and with all this "Epic Finale" stuff coming, the creators of that product seem to try to do all this and that but what they should do is follow what they did off the last film, if that makes sense? I've noticed that when something comes out and it's phenomenal, the sequel comes and it's stated as,"Bigger, better, and more epic than the last one," xD and when you get it, it's kind of like,"Yeah, alright...".

And yet, we disagree again :o. I didn't care for Skyfall much and felt as if I kind of wasted money seeing it. Thanks to Sony not letting theaters put a matinee showtime <_<, I had to endure paying full price and have to say, I didn't think it was really worth my $7 for a ticket? I thought it was going to be the best Bond, but after walking out, I felt that if I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have missed anything at all. Hell, I don't even remember much of the film. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but when Casino Royale came and raised the bar of what a spy film can be and what a James Bond film should be, it's disappointing seeing Skyfall not even match it. Javier Bordam was perfect though. He deserves an oscar and wished there was a film centered on his character! :)

We can agree to disagree on this one. :) Anyway, Javier Bardem WAS awesome. He reminded me of the Joker.....his performance was that good IMO.

What was the last movie you saw?

I watched Scarface on DVD last night, its of course one of my favourite movies.

I watched a bit of it, but my DVD player stopped playing it. That is a GREAT MOVIE.

Total Recall. I think it was scotty who thought the movie wasn't all too good and i agree. The famous three-titted woman was just a random chick in the streets and there wasn't any aliens around.

Haha, sorry man, it wasn't me. I've yet to see the film and probably won't. But you are right, I probably would have said it wasn't good, it didn't look like it ;)

Just watched 20 minutes of The Possession of David O'Reilly, it's alright so far but I feel like they're going to put a jump scare every few minutes or so, or maybe it's because of the atmosphere. Will edit when I'm finished watching it!! :)

Loved it! This isn't the film of good vs. bad. The good guys don't always win.

Great film!! Loved every moment of this film and the characters were all great. I have literally nothing bad to say about this film and highly recommend it!!!

Holy hell, did I LOVE this film!!!!! I'm a big fan of Drew's music and when it's translated on screen, it's unforgettable. I praise this man for having the balls to make this type of film and show how tough life is on the streets and also that it's not just in certain parts of the world, it's everywhere. An unforgettable film, I think, and certainly one of the best of this generation. Must see!!!

Rewatched The Dark Knight Rises on Blu ray and I still think it's the weakest of all the 3 films. I'm having trouble taking the villains and their ridiculously complicated plan seriously, I dislike the way they portrayed the siege of Gotham (too rushed, nothing at stake), I hate that stupid bomb (oldest plot device in the book) and Zimmer's obnoxiously loud score, among other things.

I also bought and watched Source Code for the first time. Absolutely amazing sci-fi thriller by the director of Moon.
