The Last Movie You Saw?

A journey through an apocalyptic wasteland that is thrilling and emotional in equal parts.

It wasn't a big surprise to have a movie featuring Tom Hanks, a cute dog and a robot with the mind of a six year old pull my emotional strings. As always, Hanks delivers a down to earth, relatable performance of a man haunted by his past choices and looking for some sort of redemption in a last selfless act.

Although there is no convoluted plot about saving the world, there's still a satisfying amout of world-building, an assortment of gripping action sequences and a good chunk of funny moments - most of which rely on the clumsy automaton's antics.

It's fair to say Finch feels a bit like a rehash of other well-known sci-fi and adventure movies, but it's still a well written, shot and acted experience with great visual effects to boot.

Worth a watch.

I quite enjoyed it, not the best MCU and definitely more toned down with the humor, but considering the phase 4 movies I liked it more than Shang Chi and Black Widow (both movies I felt did not need the typical MCU CGI fest at the end).

Veronica.

per my coworker request, apparently only 1 in 100 ppl finish it. Due to scares? boredom? he didn't specify. I finished it. All it made me want to do is find an ancient legit Ouija board and piss off some spirits and continue to make fun of the dead.

One of my all-time favourites. I could watch it again and again. 🙂

@locutus442 @buckallmighty I guess we're all watching Disney+ this weekend. Here's what I watched last night:

Back when this first came out in theaters, I didn't like it as much as The Curse of the Black Pearl or Dead Man's Chest, but there's a few great set pieces that I never forgot - and wanted to rewatch - such as the Rocking the Ship/Up is Down and The Destruction of the HMS Endeavour sequences.

I ended up enjoying revisiting the whole movie. It's really beautifully shot, with amazing exterior locations and interior scenery. It also got a few laughs out of me with some well placed jokes. And Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa... simply one of those "born to play the role" situations.

Oh, and there's also that super meta Keith Richards cameo and the return of poochie.

Fun stuff.

Jungle Cruise

10/10 for me.

It's been a long time since i watched a whole movie without pausing or taking a nap. This caught me and gave me vibes of Indiana Jones, Tombraider and old disney cartoons. Awesome! :)

Good movie.  I kinda feel like the director was trying to channel Apocalypse Now.  Lots of familiar 90's faces.  I would cut a lot of parts out, but still watchable.

Resident-Evil-Welcome-to-Raccoon-City-Tr

I saw Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City earlier today. Absolutely loved it! FAR better than I expected it to be. The whole thing is like a love letter to fans.

Highly recommend! Just make sure to stick around during the credits for an additional scene.
