ratchetdude231 Posted April 4, 2017 Share Posted April 4, 2017 Attack on Titan episode 1 Well I caved and decided to watch this episode even though I'm frankly pissed at what they are doing. It pisses me off so much because this episode pretty much rekindled my love for this franchise. Everything that I loved about season 1 is here. The amazing animation, the great characters, the mystery aspect of the story, the brutality is there, motherfucking Levi and Makisa are there too it's just so damn disappointing that it's 12 episodes long and that's what's really frustrating about this. My only hope is that I don't have to wait another 4 years for another season. I hope this time next year we are all watching Attack on Titan season 3. If having shorter 12 episode seasons for AoT means having yearly seasons or at the very least means having some consistency in AoT content then I'm totally fine with this. Kuzu no Honkai presents this interesting romance anime with a good story until the end where I believe it was quite rushed. Art: 10 Although the story was quite saddening, the art was absolutely beautiful. Every character had unique characteristics. Sound: 9 The opening "Uso no Hibana" was only decent in my opinion, but, the ending "Heikousen" was superb. Comparing the soundtracks and OSTs in this anime with other animes this season, Kuzu no Honkai was the best. Characters: 8 Every character had unique personalities however twisted. Most of them had a selfish trait that overshadowed all their good traits and many characters in the anime used others for the sake of themselves. Enjoyment: 9 This anime made me hate all the characters, but no matter how much I wanted to stop, I just kept watching the next episode. I wouldn't call this feeling enjoyment, but rather curiosity. Overall: 10 Kuzu No Honkai was eye-opening in the fact that you realize that most people have an ulterior motive, all for the sake of love. Remember the feeling at the end of Re-Zero when you wanted to punch the screen because Subaru chose the wrong girl? That is my personal opinion, but it applies to this anime based off the fact that I believe Mugi liked the wrong person in the end and did not give me the ending I wanted. ratchetdude231 Posted April 5, 2017 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Boruto: episode 1 Wow just wow I went into this show with stupidly low expectations and surprisingly enough it pretty much exceeded all of them. The show is being done by Pierrot and while I'm sure the animation quality throughout the show won't be consistent, the animation in this episode was top notch. Here is hoping we get this level of animation quality going forward. Spoilers: Spoiler For now the show is all light hearted and very reminiscent of Naruto part 1, but the opening to the episode was pretty awesome. It's great to know that at some point there will be a very dark turning point. So let the theories begin. Surprisingly I really like Boruto as a character. There are times where I feel like I'm looking at a clone of Naruto but he does have his own unique personality which I like about him. I'm happy that even though this show is mostly about the next generation, the older characters still make an appearance. Seeing Naruto and especially Hinata made me really happy. What a wonderful anime, so Light, so funny, it really warms your heart watching it :3 I'm so happy i was following randomly the Fansub who made it because before it wasn't on my plans honestly, i started keeping an eye on it half way and really wanting to watching it when it was at episode like 9-10 and i0'm so glad of that :3 Wonderful anime and great Slice of life not really so Normal in the Characters but really normal in the situations It was a great choice as first from the last season that just finished, i really love it and definitevely Watch it again in the future! Maybe with an Extra OAv would be a real pleasure :3 (If not even a Second season, there is still all Fall with the Sport Festival or the cultural fetsival or Halloween that would be really funny to Watch Or Winter with christmas and the new year, i want to watch all this ) Anyway i'm so happy i've watched it and kinda sad it's over but now it's time for what i was waiting the most from last season which is Kobayashi-San!!!! The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi's normal life is about to go off the deep end! I started watching this show with very low expectations, but it turned out to be one of my favourites from Winter 2017. There's lots of humour and funny characters. Though Fafnir was set up as a dragon who despises humans and wants to kill them all, yet when he finally appeared there was hardly any bloodlust or things like that. He quickly turned into a boring secondary character with very little funny scenes. Elma on the other hand had hilarious moments and she was introduced very late into the anime. After the episode that introduced her, she had very little screentime. I didn't care much about Lucoa, though she still had a few memorable moments. The anime primarily focused on Kanna, Tohru, and Kobayashi.
