Undead Wolf
New Game! (12 Episodes) Score: 8/10 New Game!: My First Time on a Company Vacation... (OVA) Score: 8/10 New Game!! (12 Episodes) Score: 8/10 Cute anime girls + video games is a winning combination. Pretty much what you'd expect from a slice of life anime, but it does a good job of balancing its cute/funny moments with the more serious parts. Was nice seeing the characters grow over the course of the anime, getting through all the hardships that come with being a creator, and seeing it all pay off at the end when the game releases. My favourite character is Hifumi of course , but I found myself rooting for all of them.

Have to admit it was pretty good and emotional too. Not Clannad-levels of crying though but some scenes really got to me. It was also pretty interesting to see the whole story of how Disboard came to be Thought both Riku and Schwi were eerily similar to Sora and Shiro respectively. Had a good time watching the movie this weekend, highly recommended. Now, all I need is a second season for the anime, pretty please? Also moved through the first 5 episodes of Kanokon! >_< Gotta say, I'm pleased with what I've seen so far. Feels a bit old but it is still able to entertain and please. Will have a complete opinion once I finish it.

Valyrious
Steins;Gate 0 is amazing and by far the best anime of the year so far. Which surprises me because Persona 5. But, they've really captured the magic of the narration. They're doing a masterful job with building suspense for every episode. Even though I've platinumed the game twice. It's still an absolute delight.

Undead Wolf
I've watched a lot of great movies recently... Grave of the Fireflies (Movie) Score: 10/10 This movie if DARK. Probably the most depressing movie I've ever watched to be honest. It shows that Japanese civilians were also victims of the tragedy that was WW2. I means kids are kids no matter where they come from. The adults in this movie show little apathy towards a couple of orphans, so they are forced to survive out on their own, or more accurately, Seita (the older brother), has to take care of both himself and his little sister. Not an easy thing to do when food is so scarce... This isn't a movie you watch to feel good, but it is absolutely worth watching. Perfect Blue (Movie) Score: 10/10 Oh boy, where do I start with this one? It's a movie directed by Satoshi Kon, so that should give you a pretty good idea. The protagonist, Mima, leaves her Idol group in pursuit of becoming an actress. She takes on a role in a crime drama series, but all this strange stuff starts happening around her. People are being killed, she has a creepy stalker, etc. It eventually becomes hard for her to distinguish between reality and fiction, and this applies to the viewer as well. I really loved how this movie genuinely gives you the feeling of descending into madness. I can't say I understood everything that happened, but I think that's kind of the point. A lot of the scenes are open to interpretation, and after I finished it, I looked up some fan theories and such which were quite interesting. Great movie. A Silent Voice (Movie) Score: 10/10 Out of the three movies I've watched recently, this one is my favourite. I found it incredibly painful to watch near the beginning when Shouko (the deaf girl) is being bullied. Also, it broke my heart whenever she tried to speak because it came out "weird". Like 30 minutes in and I was already on the brink of tears. Despite all this, she continues to have a positive outlook on life, even attempting to befriend her bullies. I don't think I've ever had the urge to hug a fictional character more than I do with her. We kind of learn to hate the protagonist as all this is going on since he was the main bully, but the rest of the movie is all about him trying to make amends with the things he's done in the past, all the while struggling with his own problems. It's a compelling movie filled with lots of emotional scenes as you can imagine. I definitely recommend it. Is it better than Your Name? That's a really hard question. I'm leaning towards yes, but I would have to think about it some more. I would definitely consider A Silent Voice the more emotional of the two, though.

Undead Wolf
Kotoura-san (12 Episodes) Score: 7/10 This was an interesting one. Like halfway through episode 1, it does a total 180 tone shift. They really play up how tragic Kotoura's life has been up until that point as a result of her mind-reading power. Some of it doesn't really make much sense, but I guess they really wanted you to feel sorry for her. The rest of the anime is mostly light-hearted romcom stuff with the odd bit of drama thrown in. The writing isn't the best, and it repeats a lot of the same jokes and what not, but it has its moments. I quite liked it. All the flaws this anime has are redeemed by this scene. The only reason I managed to watch three movies is because I had the week off. Hopefully you have the time to watch them soon.
